Susie
I mostly get my recs from Spotify, I often check out similar artists to whatever I'm listening to. And I happen to be super into death metal at the moment, though I have been listening to Spectral Lore quite a bit as well. Never heard of Dead and Divine, but some of the similar artists make me afraid I won't like them. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt though, will check tomorrow. Leaving Adramelech for now, Finnish 90s death metal similar to Demilich but not quite as twisted and with less unique vocals. Album rules in it's own way though. Really? Dead and Divine get lumped in with Every Time I Die, Norma Jean, Johnny Truant, The Chariot, The Bled, Comeback Kid, Alexisonfire, He Is Legend, Oh Sleeper, To Speak of Wolves, Oceana and Misery Signals on my end (google and last.fm). Most of those bands are somewhat similar though a few are really off (Comeback Kid, Oceana and Misery Signals). I actually found out about them at school when I was jamming to Wrongdoers and found Antimacy in the similar videos.

Susie
Yea those Senses Fail albums are pretty good, I like them a lot more than their older stuff for sure.At first listen I actually didnt like Renacer but now that ive given it a second listen ive noticed that its much closer to the style of music that I enjoy. Pull the Thorns I was into at first listen but now I like it more. I still enjoy their older stuff, its catchy even if it has zero substance in it, nothing that id listen to on a day to day basis though.

Susie
I used to be big into Inhale Exhale but not so much now. You digging Gorement? Currently listening. I enjoy Inhale Exhales debut, their second album was meh but their third album I thought was awful, never bothered with their fourth but I doubt that ill like it. Yeah Gorement are quite good, ill listen to their full album over Christmas break when ive got a computer. Ulcerate are one of the greatest Death Metal bands and Vermis is a masterpiece
~NOiSE~
Ya Gorement rules pretty hard. You should check that Adramelech album I posted too, I think it's right up your alley. Similar to Demilich but less weird vox and not as twisted, but it still has that sort of filthy, psychedelic tinge to the guitars and it's just great. Agreed about Ulcerate, they're definitely one of the best modern death metal bands on the technical side of things. I hope they put out something new and amazing soon. Seeing Artificial Brain in a couple of weeks, they're opening for The Black Dahlia Murder.

Yeah ill look into Adramelech too, dont know if ill like them as much as Demilich, part of why I like their stuff is how twisted the instrumentals are, its so difficult to predict were that album will take you no matter how many times you listen to it, its like they wanted to make song structures that mirrored a labyrinth. Love Artificial Brain but Ive never been a fan of The Black Dahlia Murderer I think it has something to do with the vocals.

Dare I say that Adramelech is almost as good as Demilich if not just as good, but they do their own thing and it rules. I'm not a fan of TBDM either, they just happen to be the headliner. Hoping to come away with an Artificial Brain CD and a sick shirt or something. I'm seriously lacking in death/black metal tees since I got back into those genres. TBDM are one of those weird cases with a band where im not really 100% sure what bothers me about their music, most of me says that its the vocals that are the killer for me but still im not completely sure if theres other factors in my distaste toward their music. I dont really have very many band shirts in general.

I try to pick up band tees whenever I can at shows, or on their online shops sometimes. Hopefully I can hit up some more death metal shows in the future now that I'm back into it full-swing. How's the move going by the way?

How's the move going by the way?I cant tell if I find them boring, annoying, or both. Though yeah they practically do nothing with their sound. Their reception is more mixed, some people give them high praise while others cant stand them. The move kind of sucks, im in grade 12 at a school thats far away from the area weve always moved around in. Im far away from the rest of my family (though both of those things were to be expected). The Internet in my room is terrible but works great in the rest of the house though on Monday were getting that fixed. At least my stepdad is finally getting his kids 50/50 now. At least I got my design teacher into Soilwork and Norma Jean Also djentstick...its a thing that I just figured out aboutIts literally a stick with one low tuned string on it. Susie
Never really been into SikTh tbh =/ Jammed this hard today though Yeah I can understand that, theyre responsible for a lot of trendhopping bands around today, specifically very djent bands. To say it their new song sounds even closer to that sort of stuff than their older stuff, simply because of the Periphery-esque chorus though I still like it Demilich are cool though

Well I doubt that id dislike anything by Gigan as they stick to my favorite forms of Death Metal (Modern Death Metal, Atmospheric Death Metal, Sci-fi Death Metal and Tech Death). And I will get onto both Grave Miasma and Impetuous Ritual. Unfortunately I cant really get around to new Horrendous though I like all the tracks ive heard from it.
