at first i thought that said Crimson Moonlight, never heard of Crimson Massacre but they seem interesting

Super technical wanky death metal with a ten-minute acoustic interlude, what's not to love?

Also the No Devotion album is streaming, hopefully going to pick it up when it comes out on Friday. It's pretty great.

i listened to the majority of No Devotions debut album and it was sure amazing, definitely better than what the members were doing in Lostprophets and United Nations.

ill get onto Crimson Massacre sometime soon.

Hey man don't be hatin on United Nations

No Devotion is really rad though, I want to listen to them while driving on the highway at night.

im not hating on United Nations at all but id be lying if i said i enjoyed them more than No Devotion

a night drive with No Devotion doesnt sound too bad at all. best No Devotion song is definitely still Eyeshadow, worst tracks are 1000 Summers and Stay though neither are horrible songs.

cool that youre into No Devotion, band features Geoff Rickly (Thursday and United Nations) and the previous members of Lostprophets. Geoff decided to take in the members of Lostprophets after their vocalist Ian Watkins turned out to be a child molester (wont dive into those details but if youre curious then you can look it all up yourself) and ended up forming No Devotion.

United Nations are extremely different from anything Geoff Rickly has been involved in, much more of a screamo/emoviolence band and theyre quite abrasive so be warned on that.

United Nations is rad, lots of musicians from great bands have been apart of that band as well.

Apparently the drummer for Bloc Party (who I don't know much about) recorded the drums on the new No Devotion album since Luke Johnson left in late 2014. And the drummer for a band called Kids In Glass Houses is the touring drummer.

New Deafheaven album is streaming.

ill check out that new Deafheaven album later on, Bloc Party arent that great from what i remember.

I've been trying to listen to bigger variety of music, but I can't stay away from the classics.

thats one of my favorite Mastodon tracks, and since youre trying to get a bigger variety have two songs that are completely unrelated to each other

because variety is cool

Oh, Sleeper is pretty cool (particularly the first album) and Dir en grey is one of the most badass bands on the face of the earth.

i actually like everything Oh Sleeper have put out as of now, though their first album was them at their best by far. Dir En Grey are one of the greatest out there. switching over topics big time but right now im listening to The Jesus Lizard

For some reason I thought Dir En Grey was a black metal band.

Anyway, they're pretty neat.  I like what I've heard from Oh Sleeper.

I know I'm the biggest melodeath fan up in here, but new CoB album guys yay

Dir En Grey are kinda all over the place though Black Metal wouldnt be something id say they have in them. Oh Sleeper are great too, as we mentioned their debut is their best but everything theyve done is worth checking out, though theyve been going closer and closer to a more straight forward sound.

im definitely hyped for a new CoB album, Halo of Blood was a great release.

I'm seeing Today Is the Day, Ad Nauseam and Tomb of Ligeai open for Abigail Williams on Friday, should be awesome. The latest Abigail Williams release sounds like Wolves In the Throne Room (also way better than what they put out before that) and Ad Nauseam is like the lovechild of Gorguts, Deathspell Omega and Ulcerate. Haven't heard Tomb of Ligeia but apparently they're black/death metal so hopefully they're good.

Abigail Williams is basically trend-hopping black metal, they do whatever is the most popular judging by their release history. They weren't very good in the past but their latest release was pretty great.

You'd really dig Ad Nauseam, definitely check them out.

ill listen to Abigail Williams newest release and ill listen to Ad Nauseam sometime tomorrow probably, busy listening to Code Orange Kids, i think i was a bit too harsh on them before, they may have similarities to other chaotic hardcore bands from the past but they do their sound well and thats really what matters

ill probably re-try their second album afterwards

He's seen the light! Haha, but glad you're digging them now. Still not as good as Full of Hell but a great hardcore band in my opinion.

Hope you dig those albums tomorrow, I'm pretty stoked to be seeing them along with Today Is the Day. Going to be buying some good merch.

Full of Hell are definitely better but COK arent bad, though im a bit on the fence with I Am King. Oathbreaker and Touche Amore still remain as my favorite Deathwish bands.
