Yes yes, old shames. Bring Me the Horizon still has some awesome tracks though.

It's not your first time listening to them it it? That album is really great. Their first is pretty good too but not quite on the same level. Hope they put something new out soon.

Awesome, Norma Jean is great. They're doing a tenth anniversary tour for their album O' God, the Aftermath (which is my favorite) so I'm pretty excited. Already have my ticket!

Don't have it all in a single video but here's a playlist of the deluxe version of the album, it includes a bonus track called "Shaunluu" as track 5. Makes the album better in my opinion.

ill admit that BMTHs 3rd and 4th albums were okay but other than that theyre pretty bad and no its not my first time listening to Oathbreaker i listened to them for the first time sometime last year or so but recently ive been listening to them a lot more. ive heard everything theyve done though Eros Anteros is by far their best.

might as well leave my favorite track from them

Agreed about BMTH, I only really like There Is a Hell..., "Crucify Me" Is the best thing they've ever done.

I had a feeling we'd discussed Oathbreaker before but I didn't remember. They're definitely awesome, I unfortunately missed a chance to see them live.

There Is a Hell had a few decent tracks on it i havent listened to it in a long time so ill probably listen to it again, i like what they tried to do on Sempiternal it was more soft and had a bit of an experimental sound but it didnt feel like it was as good as it could have been. their newest album is pretty much them going back downhill with some bland shitty Pop Punk that isnt even worth trying out.

yeah i think we talked about Oathbreaker in this thread before, i actually remembered posting their song Agartha a few times.

There Is a Hell is the only one that I like, I find the rest pretty lame.

Underoath's Lost In the Sound of Separation has majorly grown on me out of the blue. Not that I ever disliked it but it was my least favorite of their last three. Now I consider them all equal.

There Is a Hell is pretty cool even though it has a few flaws but i think that Sempiternal was a faithful attempt at trying out something new, still not that good but its better than the crap that they put out on their first two records. Lost In the Sound of Separation is my least favorite out of Underoaths last three albums but i still do love the hell out of it, i wouldnt consider them all equal as i still do like Disambiguation the best out of all their albums but Define the Great Line and Lost In the Sound of Separation are still up there.

Amenra today

I dunno why it never clicked with me before but today it just hit me.

Doesn't Amenra have members of Oathbreaker? I don't think I've ever listened to them.

which album are you talking about?

also im not too sure if Amenra has members of Oathbreaker but i do know that they did a split with them. you should most definitely listen to Amenra, very bleak, cold, dark Post-Metal, ive only heard Mass IIII and V though i do have Mass III on my computer too but i have yet to listen to it.

Moog. These are for you.

k bby will download them, Death Metal will be a nice switch up from what i spent the day listening to.

decided to try out Of Machines, Corpus Christi and 36 Crazyfists. all of them were pretty average, Of Machines were basically a heavier version of Lower Definition with even poppier sounding vocals, Corpus Christi were just Melodeath infused Christcore and 36 Crazyfists were much more Alternative-y then i thought. nothing terrible here but nothing id say is worth more than one or two listens every once in a while when the mood calls for it.

Think you'll really like these ones Q T 3.14.

I've heard Of Machines, wanted to buy their album years ago but never got around to it. Dunno how I feel about them now. Corpus Christi are pretty average from what I remember, and I've never listened to 36 Crazyfists.

oh yeah that Swallowed album was incredible, didnt get the chance to check out Horrendous though due to how late it is now but i will look into their album once i wake up. as for 36 Crazyfists i checked out their album A Snow Capped Romance which ive found out is apparently their most accessible album, might look into more of their stuff to see if i can get a better opinion of their stuff.

Yea man Swallowed rules, just heard them tonight. I checked and my local record store has it so I'll probably pick it up tomorrow.

I just bought that Horrendous album today. It's kind of like Obliteration, paying tribute to OSDM but also has melodeath influence. And by melodeath I mean like Heartwork by Carcass (which I also think I'll get tomorrow).

What's the gif in your sig from?

ill be looking for that Swallowed album for sure, Horrendous sound like theyll be really good. i have a friend who really loves Heartwork, its one of his favorite albums of all time, he showed it to me like four times though it could never work with me, neither could their earlier Grindcore/Goregrind albums.

the gif is of Zombina from Monster Musume anime

I still think you'll dig Horrendous, it never stops riffing and it has that awesome cave-sounding production that's popular with the OSDM bands. I'm digging it a lot. I haven't listened to much of Carcass' grind work either, but i really like Surgical Steel and I've enjoyed what I've heard of Heartwork

omg Monster Musume, I started reading the manga awhile back but I stopped for some reason. Maybe I'll catch up and also watch the anime cause reasons.

Finished up that Horrendous album, really liked it. Carcass Grindcore-era is best summed up as dated, at its time it was something else but nowadays bands have further pushed Grindcore into a much more interesting direction that makes early Carcass sound bland and overall boring. ill look into Heartwork though since its been a long time since ive heard it.

the Monster Musume anime is pretty fun to watch, im not a huge fan of the whole monster girl trend going on but i still managed to enjoy it and find a few characters that i was really into.

i actually listened to Heartwork earlier and it grew on me, still think that Surgical Steel is waaaaay better. the album artwork to that Swallowed album is really sweet looking but the album itself is even better

tried out this album, it was another average decent Melodic Christcore band

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6Y1hSuewXg

anyways

[spoiler=Stuff that i do plan on looking at sometime tomorrow or the day after]

WELL MOST OF IT I WILL BUT THERE ARE A FEW WHICH I DO PLAN ON IGNORING. god i really hate how the new last.fm layout doesnt let you delete recommendations

Sinai Beach is kind of boring.

That's...a lot of bands. I don't really want to comment on all of them haha. Mortal Treason's Sunrise Over a Sea of Blood was the first metal album I ever bought though.

Sinai Beach are just okay to me. the only band on there that i got around to listening to was Gwen Stacy and they suck. also thats nothing compared to the eight pages that used to come up on last.fm before they changed the layout. the only bands that i had tried out before were Parkway Drive, Sonic Syndicate, After the Burial and The Famine, they all suck hard. i also remember trying out Tony Danza but i cant really remember what theyre like but i remember saying they were okay.

i cant really remember what my first Metal album i bought was.

On another note...holy sheet.

Aww, I'm sorry :( *hugs*

Glad you dug Aevangelist, they kind of blew my mind when I first listened the other day. Their latest album Writhes In the Murk is very good as well, but I haven't listened to their first album.

Nice! That Kinison album is a lot of fun. Living Sacrifice is hit or miss for me but they've done some good stuff.
