Tentacruel
Definitely not something most people hear are into, but I really like the sound of this. Way better than the last album. It's more Iron Maiden and less Disturbed.

~NOiSE~
I don't care much for Trivium, but I used to like their album Shogun. Nice Moog, Oh, Sleeper is pretty sweet. I'll have to check the early Architects stuff again, it's been awhile. I also think you'll dig Project 86, check their album Drawing Black Lines. It's like early Deftones and Will Haven. Oh Sleeper are definitely pretty sweet, their debut is really good, their most recent album was also enjoyable. i also liked Inhale Exhale a bit, they were really average but still listenable and enjoyable. funny because im listening to Project 86 right now, specifically Wait For the Siren, though ill listen to Drawing Black Lines afterwards

Wait For the Siren is said to be one of their most melodic albums and its got some weak stuff in it, but theres good stuff still (Fall Goliath Fall and Above the Desert Sea are the best examples of the better tracks), its like The Artist In the Ambulance but not as heavy. im getting Drawing Black Lines onto my iPod right now and ill listen to it. i havent bothered with Comity yet, but i will

Susie
YEA CHRISTCORE LOL But yea I like all of those bands...except I have to try Architects again. yeah weve been talking about a huge load of Christcore bands lately. at first it was As I Lay Dying then it was Demon Hunter and now its Oh Sleeper and Project 86, though i definitely know for sure that weve been going on about loads of other ones those are the most recent ones as of now Nightmare and Ruin are both pretty sick, Nightmare sticks right up to a lot of We are the Romans and The Silent Circus style riffage while Ruin takes that style down a bit more of a melodic and more accessible path. i have yet to check out Hollow Crown and The Here and Now but i probably will soon. be very wary when checking out Daybreaker and Lost Forever // Lost Together, theyre terrible albums. Susie
Could be haha. Current jam: Vermis is the heaviest album that i listen to, so much dark crushing atmosphere mixed with the heavy brutality of Death Metal. it feels like im floating in a giant pool of black water, so dark and bleak but it still manages to wrap its atmosphere around me. tis a beautiful feeling. I love your description, but I think Mitochondrion's Parasignosis just barely edges it out in terms of heaviness.
Susie
I love your description, but I think Mitochondrion's Parasignosis just barely edges it out in terms of heaviness. Parasignosis is amazing but it doesnt give me as much of an effect that Vermis does because i feel that Parasignosis focuses too much on the aggressiveness to get the heavy feeling as strongly as Vermis does, still a pretty heavy album but it doesnt do as much for me as Vermis does

To me Mitochondrion is similar to Portal, but way more interesting.
Susie
They're different beasts to be honest. To me Mitochondrion is similar to Portal, but way more interesting. ive been listening to Portal for a longer time but yeah Mitochondrion are way better than Portal are, still do really like both bands. Mitochondrion pull off more with their atmosphere than Portal do, not to say that Portal have a bad atmosphere but its not nearly as strong as Mitochondrion are. Portal has a great atmosphere but they just don't really...do anything. It's like listening to a burbling mess for half an hour...a good burbling mess, but I digress. Mitochondrion has a very similar sound and like 75% more content. Will post them because Forest Fire seems to be lurking and liking some death metal albums. Mitochondrion are one of the last bands that id show someone whos just starting to get into Death Metal these albums are better for someone whos just taking steps into the genrehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayvKDxoVCcI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DgPGkk4HNA
~NOiSE~
He liked my Zealotry and Ulcerate posts, and I wasn't really expecting him to like any death metal so I figured why not haha. Sun Eater and Colored Sands both rule, though I'd say the latter is in fourth place out of their albums for me.

Colored Sands is still my favorite Gorguts album, i love the atmosphere in it, Obscura and The Erosion of Sanity follow behind it.
