Yeeeaa Dark Tranquillity. I haven't given Inked In Blood the time of day for a long time but I don't think they impressed me. I'll probably give them another shot.

Dark Tranquillity are one of the best Melodeath bands out there. i really like Inked In Blood, Lay Waste the Poets is an underrated album to me. their second album was okay too but it focused more on a much more mainstream influence.

for some reason, i'm gonna listen to this after Lay Waste.

i'm crazy.

yeah. link don't work. it says the folder doesn't exist. so here's how to work it. moog gives you his email, you invite him (through dropbox) to join the dropbox. if he doesn't have a dropbox, he'll have to make one. then i give you the email i actually use and you invite me to join the same dropbox. ok?

yeah the full album isnt anywheres on the internet other than for download, really sad though. if you like that Inked In Blood album then you should try out Nodes of Ranvier too, theyre similar.

I found an easy way around it haha. Easy and not complicated. I'm interested in hearing your opinion on the album, though it's only a 3-track EP.

it actually keeps on saying that there may be a virus or spyware on it and it keeps on blocking the download, didnt realize that until now. ugh ill just YouTube to mp3 the whole thing when i feel in the mood for it, its only 3 tracks anyways so it wont be that big of a deal. im just gonna listen to their other EP and then try to sleep because im so damn tired right now

computers are just weird like that, though maybe ill try again after i get up since sometimes it just takes a while of doing the same thing before it finally works.

yeah you did. well the opening is certainly attention catching. nice beat. *has no clue what he's saying* still good. ... i got like 5 minutes in and i had to take off my headphones cause i'm getting a headache.

second song: i just cannot sit through a period of time during which a person is singing like that. ugh. my head.

third: okay start. i'm waiting for the vocals and the headache. nice song so far. oh. the vocals there weren't what i was expecting. i could actually sit through this one; though the metal on metal/ nails on a chalkboard - esque sound ain't pleasant, this one isn't bad at all.

Dang, I find the whole EP to be pure bliss. This is their latest and focuses more and mood and atmosphere while still having the death metal backbone...their first EP A Momentary Sense of the Immediate World is much more straightforward death/grind while their full length The Sum of All Fossils is a good medium between the two (which makes sense as it's their middle release). They're definitely a unique take on death metal but I love them for it.

They're pretty good, not much substance bit they're fun to listen to. They remind me of Haste the Day a lot at times.

Glad you got the EP to work! You shouldn't be disappointed.

i havent listened to them since the days when i used to be a big fan of bands like Atreyu, Killswitch Engage, Dead By April and As I Lay Dying. they just came to my mind a long while ago and i saw them come up on my recommendations so i went for Wolfbiker again after a long time. id probably say that Evergreen Terrace mostly make me think of Comeback Kid and Alexisonfire coming together to try and create a Metalcore band that sounds like Haste the Day.

yeah Intersubjectivity to me is better than A Momentary Sense but it still doesnt top off how much i enjoy The Sum Of All Fossils.

Flourishing just rules in general, I hope they put out another LP soon.

Speaking of weird death metal, jamming Zealotry at the moment. I believe they have a new LP in the works.

Architects - Once modern mathcore, now modern sheet.

Remembering Never - Don't know them.

Project 86 - Christian band that's dabbled in nu metal, post-hardcore, alternative metal and industrial. I don't have much history with them but they have a good reputation and the songs I've heard are pretty rad.

Inhale Exhale - Christian metalcore band that throw down some interesting riffs and melodies here and there, but otherwise they're painfully average.

Mithras - Don't know them.

Bleeding Through - Metalcore/melodeath, I've only ever heard one of their songs but it wasn't bad, can't really give an honest opinion though.

This Day Forward - Don't know them.

Oh, Sleeper - Christian metalcore that's worth checking out. They're comparable to Underoath and As Cities Burn but they have their own vibe. Their first album When I Am God is probably their best and has less linear songwriting compared to their current output. Their latest one Endseekers is more straightforward and features more obvious verses and choruses but it's really intense and emotional when it comes to the lyrics and vocals. Check out the rest at your leisure.

36 Crazyfists - I know of them, but I know nothing about them.

yeah when i first heard Architects it was their newest album and i hated it though i heard about their older stuff being actually good, Nightmares is apparently a total Botch emulation and their albums after that started to dabble with that sound in a more melodic sense from what i heard. Remembering Never are a Metalcore band thats apparently similar to Poison the Well, Scarlet, Shai Hulud, The Red Chord and Hopesfall (at least thats what last.fm says). Mithras are a Prog/Tech Death Metal band thats in the same roots as Flourishing, Timeghoul, Artificial Brain, GIGAN and Ulcerate. This Day Forward are a band that was originally Metalcore but went down a more Post-Hardcore sound. 36 Crazyfists are a Metalcore/Nu Metal band, a friend of mine who asked me if i heard of them said that they were apparently one of the classic influential Metalcore bands. ill definitely look into Oh Sleeper and Project 86 as well as Inhale Exhale and Bleeding Through.

I actually remember Mithras, I listened to their newest album once and it was alright but not nearly as interesting as the related bands. I'll probably look into those other bands I didn't know, most of them sound cool.
