I love Disambiguation but Define the Great Line was the one that really sold me on hardcore music in high school, plus it feels the most epic, technical and complete to me. I still remember hearing the opening riff for the first time and laughing out loud at how awesome it was.

im more for the atmospheric sound of Disambiguation and plus it reminds me a lot of Deftones, Define the Great Line is still in a good solid second place with The Changing of Times taking the bronze. hah yeah that reminds of when i first heard Alexisonfire on the TV, i first heard Young Cardinals and my mouth was dropped onto the floor at that time i was so used to hearing the usual Pop Punk and Alternative Rock that it really blew me away when i first listened to it, and it was love from there on.

I recently jammed Lost In the Sound of Separation again and found that I like it a lot more than I remember, not that I ever disliked it. Will probably listen to older stuff again too.

Lost In the Sound of Separation is such an underrated album it was like their transition between Define the Great Line and Disambiguation, their stuff with Dallas is really underrated too. Cries of the Past and The Changing of Times are both really good, Act of Depression was okay too.

Hey why hasn't anyone mentioned They're Only Chasing Safety yet?!

...oh yea

Being serious though, it has some good tracks. Just really boring compared to what they did after, and before for that matter.

i like Theyre Only Chasing Safety but its definitely one of their weaker albums, i still really like tracks like Its Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door, A Boy Brushed In Red Living In Black and White (typical i know), and Down Set Go as well as most of the rest of the album, the only tracks that i cant stand are Reinventing Your Exit and Some Will Seek Forgiveness. its their most commercial sounding album and is unfairly put on a pedestal because of scenekids from 2005 drooling all over it, sucks that this one had to end up being the "fan favorite" even if it isnt all bad.

I happen to think that Knut is much better than okay haha.

Glad you're digging Kashee Opeiah, I love that album. I wish it had more exposure.

i just think theyre okay, i feel that theres other Mathcore bands out there who are/were doing way more interesting things. The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Chariot, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Coalesce, Fear Before the March of Flames (i believe that Odd How People Shake can count as Mathcore) just to name a few. not that im hating on Knut or anything, theyre cool but id much rather listen to one of the previously mentioned bands, so i tend to not bother too much with Knut.

Kashee Opeiah are quite the good band, Panic In Solitude is quite the enjoyable record, man this band is obscure to the point of where they have less than 1000 listeners on last.fm

I just love the riffs and the atmosphere, plus the experimentation with sludge and ambiance. Coalesce is about on par with them but I like Knut more than the other bands you mentioned, though I like them all except I don't jam TNTLLY too much.

Yea, Kashee Opeiah is super obscure. They only have 247 likes on facebook. They're supposedly putting out a new album soon though, they already recorded it as far as I know and they haven't stopped playing shows since Panic In Solitude came out in 2006.

i jam The Number 12 a lot, really love their stuff, theyre like a Jazz-y version of The Dillinger Escape Plan, really love the catchiness and weirdness of some of their stuff, wish they didnt break up, forgot to mention my love for Ion Dissonance too.

hopefully the new album will blast up Kashee Opeiah out of obscurity.

yeah thats what it was supposed to be since i was listening to Birds In Row at the time being and the name MoogVoyager was taken, funny though when i actually searched up the user profile it had an avatar of Garnet from Jewelpet, one of my favorite characters, there was 0 scrobbles on the profile and the person hadnt been online in a long time so i didnt bother with him/her.

upon taking a closer look at the profile im 100% sure that its an old account that i made with my old email and completely forgot about it, the taste looks a lot like the stuff i was listening to a lot of back in 2013, it even says Moog-Source Vermona as the real name, which is something i used to do all of the time

Ampere rules, good pick. I haven't been feeling very skramz lately except for envy, but they're barely screamo.

neither have i but i just thought randomly out of the blue some Ampere would be nice since ive been kind of marathoning the same stuff, lots of Oceana with lots of Lostprophets debut, with some Fear Before and The Bled sprinkled in topped off with J-Metal. i kind of needed the refresher.

I've been mostly listening to metalcore. Jane Doe the other day was ripping me a new one just like always.

It will always be a classic.

Glad you like Lacuna too. I saw Caravels open for Touche Amore and mewithoutYou and they were good, although I had to sit through Seahaven after that...

have you ever tried MCRs debut album? its the only thing of theirs that i still do like, it has a much more raw Hardcore sound to it, ive actually known of some people who compare certain elements of it to Rites of Spring and The Pine, i personally think thats a bit of a stretch but im pretty sure that Gerard took some influence from their stuff. it was also released on the same label that released Thursdays debut album. their second and third albums have a few tolerable tracks imo but nothing really as good as their debut was.

i really love Lacuna and its possibly becoming a new favorite of mine, i also really like Seahaven but ill admit that compared to the rest of those bands they are a whole lot weaker.
