~NOiSE~
Celeste was really freaking cool live. They played with no house lights, just strobe lights every now and then and red lights they all wore and a fog machine.

~NOiSE~
I was very fun, they did awesome. The other bands were too loud and muddy and boring but Celeste sounded perfect. In celebration of the new August Burns Red album coming out, I'm listening to their last album that I liked. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gg_Av0Gnuck

Yea The Secret is cool, though lately they've gone waaay into the blackened/crust territory and are probably never going back. If you like what ABR has done up until now, you'll probably like the new one. I think I'm gonna jam the latest Misery Signals.

Absent Light is a solid record from Misery Signals but its nowheres near the perfection that Of Malice and Mirrors are anyways finished off Sleepers In the Rift, its great and all but its behind Swevenhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5p8VH1ohpo
~NOiSE~
I like Absent Light quite a bit, I'll have to jam their other stuff again. Agreed that Morbus Chron got way better with Sweven.

Going to check their other stuff too. As for D'espairsRay... [spoiler=:D] All three have a lot of sick tracks. Some of my favorites from the first album are "Dears", "Garnet", "Fuyuu Shita Risou", "Hai to Ame", and "Tainted World".

~NOiSE~
Mirror is probably my favorite. I don't really bother with their last album, it was that good. Redeemer is cool though. Have you checked out Number Girl? I love them.

Have you checked out Number Girl? I love them. i made a thread about them way back, like probably two years ago, ive only ever listened to School Girl Distortion Addict but i enjoy it a lot. i love the Sonic Youth and Pixies vibes that i get from their stuff. i dont know if i like Mirror or their first better, its hard for me to tell. ~NOiSE~
Oh haha, definitely do not remember that. I think it's safe to say that the cabs took quite a bit of inspiration from them, they're another band I'd highly recommend.

~NOiSE~
I think there are two bands called the cabs, but they're both pretty obscure. This is the one I like.

~NOiSE~
They only put out two EPs and a full-length but they're all great, one of my favorite emo/post-hardcore bands.

~NOiSE~
Dir en grey is really in a league of their own haha. Oh, earlier I meant to say that D'espairsRay's last album wasn't that good. Hmm...ever listen to Girugamesh? They're heavy Japanese alt-rock/metal.
~NOiSE~
Scratch that, just found a band called Sadie that sounds exactly like Dir en grey. We're talking rip-off territory.

Hmm...ever listen to Girugamesh? They're heavy Japanese alt-rock/metal.i think D'espairsRays come close to sounding like Dir En Grey, at least closer than most of the other bands that they get lumped in with the name Girugamesh sounds familiar, whats a good starting place for them? funny cause ive actually heard of Sadie, is it rip-off territory to the point of where its completely distracting? ~NOiSE~
For Girugamesh, check out their self-titled album and 13's Reborn. I only heard a bit of Sadie's album Madrigal de Maria, but what I hear sounds just like Dum Spiro Spero...even the vocals. Listen to their song "Demons Cradle". It's really good but geez they must really worship Dir en grey.

~NOiSE~
Wow I didn't even see that video haha. I guess I'm not the only who thinks that. I wonder if it's a good idea to get vocals lessons from a guy who's had throat surgery several times because of vocal damage?
