Aww, that sucks. I've got a few shows coming up that I'm pretty excited for.

Cellgraft is a great grind band, pretty similar to Discordance Axis. They broke up recently, sadly.

never heard of Cellgraft ill get onto them along with the new Envy and Haste the Day

also one of my favorite albums of last year

I never got around to listening to that, how is it compared to the last few?

most people say its better than The Hunter though i think its on par (but i liked The Hunter more than most people did), its lightyears better than Crack the Skye, no question about it. it tops off Blood Mountain by a bit though its not even close to touching Leviathan.

Focus is a damn masterpiece and definitely my favorite old school Tech Metal album

Wow, that was certainly a switch haha. I definitely like Gorguts more though.

my tastes fluctuate a lot, i remember one day i was checking out some new Dark Ambient records and then i listened to Norma Jean and Bjork afterwards.

id say that i love Cynic was more than Gorguts because im a huge Synth maniac and i love hearing all of the old school digital pad sounds, really sci-fi and surreal sounding, i actually now love Focus way more than Traced In Air now. Gorguts are great but i enjoy Cynic, Death and maybe Timeghoul more.

They do that so it doesn't get taken down for copyright infringements. You can listen to it normally if you change the speed on a computer, but I think you figured that out already haha.

I don't think BTBAM will ever interest me again to be honest.

i dont have a computer and i tried to get my laptop in for repairs but they said it was better off to get a new one and my mom has no money due to the big move happening during summer

i actually had a period where i stopped listening to BtBaM for a while but then i got back into them. theyve only released two new songs and both of them to me are nothing more than decent. theyve now basically striped away all Death Metal from their sound and are now an average Prog Metal band to me. though even if you arent a fan youve gotta admit that so far its a lot better than what Opeth and Cynic have been throwing out at us recently.

Ugh why do bands keep doing that haha. Lame 70s prog emulation is so much less interesting than what they were doing before.

eh id say that BtBaM sound closer to their original sound than Opeth and Cynic do with theirs. still its nothing as great as Colors or The Great Misdirection. the new TDWP song is boring as hell too, i feel like im definitely going to be disappointed there, but im not 100% sure on what to feel with BtBaMs new songs

Yea, that TDWP song is nothing special.

Have you heard Imperial Triumphant's first album Abominamentvm? Some major Deathspell Omega worship going on here but it's cool.

Both are from the same album by the way, one has different art because it was released in a compilation.

Nice haha, have you ever given Seizures a good listen? They're one of my favorite metalcore bands. Also what is your blog about?

I used to kinda dig Devil Sold His Soul but I haven't listened to them in a long time. I might check them out again since I haven't heard their most recent album.

ive listened to one of their albums a while ago but i forget what it was called and if it was their only one or not. i have two blogs, my blog slicepapermoog (try and guess which song that comes from) is filled with music, anime, animals and whatever other things i find and enjoy, which is the one that Seizures are following

ive only listened to a few songs by Devil Sold His Soul but i do like what i hear out of them, it vaguely reminds me of Disambiguation

I looked it up. I like it. And The Sanity Universal is one of the best metalcore albums of the past ten years.

I'll jam some TDSHS tonight!

Oh and I found you on skype.

My favorite recent emo/post-hardcore record definitely goes to envy. I was hoping Pianos Become the Teeth would provide it but they did not really deliver for me at all. I'm going to miss the days of "Cripples Don't Shiver" and "Spine".
