Have not had a chance to check Oceansize yet but I will soon. Might get to see Gillian Carter in a couple of weeks so that's pretty cool. Frameworks is also coming in January but I may have said that already.

you should listen to all their albums chronologically because there really isnt anything that theyve done that isnt great (though ive only heard snippets out of each album). ive heard of Frameworks but ive never bothered with them, never heard of Gillian Carter though.

They're both really good Florida screamo bands. You'd dig Gillian Carter, they've got some ambient and post-punk stuff going on as well.

The new Job for a Cowboy album is...really good.

New JFAC sounds nothing like what they've done in the past, It's much more along the lines of the prog-death bands that I love, and it has some killer bass work.

Glad you dig those bands, Gillian Carters best is probably Having Lost... and I think Frameworks only has one full-length.

I haven't listened to Emery in a long time, but I'd be interested in seeing what they do with their sound.

i figured that the new JFAC album would sound different since i know you dislike deathcore

i dig the living hell out of both (especially Frameworks) and i will undoubtedly check them both out as soon as possible, i feel so bad for putting off Frameworks for such a long time

the newest Emery album sounds closer to The Weaks End which is a good thing because thats my favorite album by them

Well JFAC has arguably been playing straight death metal since Genesis, but the style didn't really appeal to me. You know I like the weird stuff ^^

Not until now, I don't follow the band too closely. I'll definitely check it out when they release something.

New Dir en grey album Arche comes out on Wednesday and I'm super stoked to hear it. I ordered mine to be shipped via Fedex so I should have it by next week sometime. I love the cover art.

i follow Raeins Facebook page so i get all the updates, the new Dir En Grey will probably be pretty sick

i know youre not really too big on Proggy Post-Hardcore stuff Coral, but how do you feel about Gospel? Theyre like DGD but less poppy and more atmospheric

I love Gospel. The Moon Is a Dead World is one of my favorite skramz jams, right up there with the City of Caterpillar full-length.

sweet, also i never really knew that they were considered a skramz band, i always just thought that they were along the same likes as Dance Gavin Dance, The Fall of Troy and Hail the Sun.

I think they're a pretty good middle ground, but the sound they have is much more original in my eyes. I love the atmosphere and all of the performances are crazy good. The electronics give it a very dark, psychedelic vibe, which I like way more than a lot of the modern post-hardcore bands.

yeah i guess i can see the screamo in them, but i find them to be closer to the Prog Post-HC bands out there. They definitely do have a quite original sound.

i really want a new Old Gray release

Old Gray is cool, but I don't listen to much outside of An Autobiography. I saw them live a few months ago.

i listen to all of their stuff, love everything theyve put out, though i admit that their demo was a bit meh, but thats what its like for most bands, also i envy you for being able to see them live, wish bands like them would come near my area, best band i ever got to see was Rise Against, i missed Opeth, In Flames, Protest the Hero and Every Time I Die when they came. The only good thing about missing ETID was the fact that i didnt have to sit through Counterparts, I thought that Protest the Hero was an 18+ show, but it turns out that it was an all ages show, i never found out about In Flames until it was too late to grab tickets, and i forgot to tell my parents about Opeth (im a forgetful person)

Moooooog you need to get to a show! I'm sure something good will come along.

the problem really is more of the fact of how almost every interesting show is at an 18+ venue, i would get to the shows but you cant do jack sheet without an ID

jamming along to this album right now

Have you heard Antemasque? I just got their debut today and I really like it.

Video is tracks 1, 4, and 9 from the album.

been meaning to try out Antemasque for a while, should probably stop sleeping on them.

and now i just listened to them, and theyre damn amazing, but anything that involves Omar and Cedric is funking magical

I'm not as big a fan of The Mars Volta as I used to be but I love At the Drive-In, and Antemasque is a bit closer to that. Definitely getting a post-punk vibe as well so I figured you'd dig it.

Got the Maths album Descent in the mail today and I am digging it really hard. One of the best modern screamo albums in my opinion.
