Didn't enjoy it that much, nfortunately =/

I got to see Full of Hell last night. They played at 2 am and the set was twenty minutes.

awww that sucks, one of my fave bands to come from my good ol county, Canada, found out about them cause they did an album with Alexisonfire, they both covered each others songs, i liked the AoF covers of Moneen better than the original ones

never listened to Full of Hell all that much, but i do enjoy their stuff, ive heard theyre good live

I'll listen to a full album soon and get a better opinion. What's the best?

Full of Hell was very intense, that's all I can really say. I bought a shirt and their new CD, which is a collaboration with Merzbow. It's awesome.

The Red Tree probably though ive yet to listen to Are We Really Happy, The Theory of Harmonial Value was good too, their last album wasnt as bad as the fans say but its definitely their worst by far. The Switcheroo album with AoF is definitely worth listening to as well.

i enjoy both Merzbow and Full of Hell so ill get onto that collaboration sometime

listening to the new PBTT album, definitely the feelsiest album of 2014, Old Jaw is just tearjerking and beautiful

I'll give them a listen.

Full of Hell is definitely one of my favorite hardcore acts right now, the drone/experimental stuff along with the really cavernous production just sends chills down my spine. I think you'll dig the new album.

I haven't given the new PPTT album a devoted listen but I haven't really dug what I've heard so far. I might give it a good listen tomorrow.

the new PBTT is kind of a love it or hate it thing, its pretty soft but its pretty feelsy with some of the songs, i personally enjoy it though i can see why others wouldnt. Saltwater is still my favorite PBTT release though.

im pretty sure i will enjoy the new Full of Hell, ever tried out any of Merzbows solo stuff?

I can't say that I have, I've looked at his discography and was too overwhelmed by the sheer number of albums he's put out. But his contributions on the Full of Hell album are amazing, the album is my favorite of the year so far. Only thing that might top it is the new Dir en grey album but we'll see.

You can listen to Full of Hell & Merzbow on Pitchfork.

new Finch and Stolas albums are still in the top spot for me, new Dir En Grey will probably be great

Merzbeat and Senmaida are the two best starters to Merzbow and his best albums imo, though i havent dug all that far into his works probably cause im only an occasional listener when it comes down to Noise music

that Full of Hell/Merzbow album is pretty sick stuff, i like the Merzbow parts of the album better than the Full of Hell parts though

been listening to nothing but Post-Rock and FATA all day long, dont care what anyone else says about them going softer, they were always a sick band

also its unofficial, but they might be forming back, hope it becomes official

I think their last album was their best, I don't think they went soft.

Winter is upon us, which means black metal season.

Holding A Wolf By the Ears was definitely not soft but some fans think that Abandon Your Friends was, and while i found that album to be a bit more toned down it was far from being a soft album, their best for me though is their debut album, love the atmosphere and emotions on that album. Ever tried out Warship? That was Francis Marks band after FATA

Ash Borer are cool, but its been a long time since ive listened to them, and Black Metal in general, id love to hit up some Black Metal records but i have nothing except for my sisters laptop which i borrow from her, so i cant do sheet

a bit off-topic but since i mentioned Post-Rock i just was curious to know if you like any Post-Rock besides GY!BE

I own quite a few Mogwai albums and I like Slint's Spiderland (not exclusively post-rock but yeah). I don't really listen to much else, though I've heard Mono's early stuff is pretty cool.

Just remembered that this Elliott album dabbles in post-rock and it's a favorite of mine, I think you'd dig it.

A Silver Mt. Zion

This Will Destroy You

Youth Pictures of Florence Henderson

Oceansize

Explosions In the Sky

pg.lost

Sigur Ros

Maybeshewill

I love envy and their more recent stuff has been more post-rock oriented, but they were definitely straight-up screamo when they started. I think the post-rock elements have been gradually added to until they became what they are now.

And that's awesome about Fear Before...and it looks like they changed their name back haha.

yeah they definitely were full screamo in the 90s but for most of their discography they were building up onto their Post-Rock oriented sound

their facebook page has always said Fear Before the March of Flames, and it was a stupid idea to shorten their name in the first place since 99.9% of people just called them Fear Before for short anyways, so whats the use?

Ah who knows. But anyway I'm really excited for the new Dir en grey album, I hope it's awesome.

Like the new Stolas fine while Hail The Sun is better. Finch's new lp was a disappointment. Been listening to Embrace and Tove Lo lately though so my judgement might be disagreeable.

Yea I saw that Refused is back, would be cool if they put out some new material.

I don't really like Circa Survive in general so I don't think I'd dig the new one too much. The only album I've heard out of the albums you mentioned is the new Finch album and it's ok, probably won't come back to it to be honest.

Embrace is great but my favorite old-school emo band is probably One Last Wish. And of course Fugazi brings the best of both Ian MacKaye and Guy Picciotto.

Saw Anberlin last night with '68 and Copeland opening, awesome show and the last time I'll ever see Anberlin.

Yea, I thought that was weird. I'm always hopeful though.

Have you heard Full of Hell & Merzbow? Dunno your thoughts on either of the artists but the collaboration is one of my favorite releases this year. I got to see Full of Hell a few weeks ago and it was...intense.
