Thar
I lurk everywhere for no particular reason. I listen to some metal, but its mostly what my dad listens to. Stuff like Metallica, Black Sabbath, Dio, Iron Maiden. Can't get into the newer stuff. Pantera is where my jam is at. Has much more attitude and the "in your face" vibe, not to mention they were founded in Texas. Plus Phil Anselmo is one of my all-time favorite vocalists. I grew up with rock and early metal, but I mostly listen to whatevers on the radio and stuff. I'm a huge Lorde fan, but that doesn't really belong here. I wish I grew up with metal. As a kid, I'd listen to NSYNC and Britney Spears like non-stop, and I was more familiar with the pop music on the radio than anything else. It wasn't until Eighth grade (2006) when I first became familiar with Metal. I was at a friend's house, and he blasted songs by Slipknot and KoRn, which I didn't get more into until 2008. 2007 was when I got into Death Metal when I saw the subgenre on Limewire (because that was the sh*t back in the day) and I got into it a lot more easily than I thought I would. It's cool. Anyway, I've been digging this band a lot. Did you get to check out Mitochondrion? im liking It Dies Today cause they remind me a lot of FATA, Darkest Hour and Poison the Well (a bit). The Caitiff Choir was a pretty damn solid album, though i didnt really care for Sirens all that much, i thought it was alright. They do have a new album in the making, and theyve put out one trackhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8e2ObShMAA no i didnt get to Mitochondrion but i will get to it eventually also a bit sudden here but whats your favorite Blindside album, was just curious about that, personally i think id choose About A Fire Burning as my number one by them

Susie
I haven't listened to much Blindside =/ dang youre missing out, just thought it ask since you brought them up once before a long time ago, first heard of them when i was like 10 years old i think. Their newer stuff is a lot less hardcore and punk-y sounding but follows more of an alternative-ish sound. About A Burning Fire is their best for me because it shows off their melodic side while still maintaining a few shades of their old school punk energy, sad that they might be splitting up after all these years. Have a few samplers of the albumhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n51t6_iexlc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ezejCLI3jQ
