I ended up selling all of their albums though haha. Hardcore took over my life. Granted, I had already liked some hardcore and metal bands but I dove headfirst into it upon discovering ISIS and Converge. I'm not a huge fan of Balance and Composure but they're not bad. I have been listening to this though.

Susie
went through a ton of bands this weekend that ive wanted to go through for a while As Cities Burn - this is like mewithoutYou, Thrice, and Brand New clashed together, love these guys a lot Balance and Composure - personally i really liked them, but i can see why youre not too big on them Coral, theyre pretty toned down Chelsea Wolfe - shes like Radiohead, Swans and Bjork all wrapped up into one dark, gothic singer/songwriter, which is cool Death Cab for Cutie - nice Indie Rock band that has a few minor elements of emo bands Dowsing - one of their albums has a beluga whale on it, therefore theyre awesome by default Joyce Manor - if you guys dig Pop Punk bands that have more of a hardcore edge to them, then these guys are one of the best The Menzingers - another really good Pop Punk band, thats become one of my favorite bands ever Moss Icon - love these guys but i probably wont listen to them all that much, the really old 80s era tends to be my least favourable Old Gray - really nice feelsy skramz/emo stuff Pity Sex - dont know why i put themoff for so long, sweet band thats definitely worth listening to a couple of times Polar Bear Club - pretty sick Melodic Post-Hardcore/Pop Punk band, love the raspy toned vocalist, and the band name too. Seahaven - one of my friends became obsessed with them and i can definitely see why Veara - and another good Pop Punk band from Epitaph, sick stuff and thats just about it

Sunn O)))
Just curious. Favorite metal riff. GO! [spoiler=Mine] I would need to listen to hundreds of bands just to decide my favorite riff, so I'll just go with Straws Pulled At Random by Meshuggah. Thar
I got confused for a second, cause you mentioned Straws Pulled at Random but you posted Rational Gaze. I listened to the former, and yeah, expected nothing less from Meshuggah. Such an awesome band. My favorite by them has gotta be Perpetual Black Second. ~NOiSE~
Just curious. Favorite metal riff. GO! [spoiler=Mine] Not a metal band but an absolutely killer breakdown riff from a band that doesn't play breakdowns. Riff starts at 1:40. boo hoo It's called an homage, people need to calm the hell down. I want to wear it to death metal shows.
