Syo Kurusu
Never heard of them. But if it falls under metal or hardcore, then it counts! Maybe post a song?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VEHzlRSbm0
~NOiSE~
This song from ENSLAVED its awesome but at the same time the video is a mind F..K!: I've been trying to get into more black metal, right now I just have Lantlos, Drudkh, Agalloch, Deafheaven, Wolves In the Throne Room, and Ulver. I haven't liked the newest stuff by Enslaved but I might listen to some of their back catologue soo. Also going to look into Panopticon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VEHzlRSbm0 Not really my style, but it's certainly acceptable here. These are some Japanese bands I like:

But since you like Boris and Electric Wizard, I'm guessing you like a bit of sludge/doom metal. You like Neurosis, ISIS or Tombs?

I've been trying to get into Trophy Scars anyway and the first two releases are pretty good, but I haven't been hugely motivated to keep going. Their eps and lp moving forward are even better compared to their first 2 lp. And it's easier if you already like their earlier releases. It's pretty similar to Thrice as they moved away from the heavy post hardcore staple sound, the more edify they are. Try either the Bad Luck lp or the Darkness, Oh Hell and Never Born Never Dead eps to test the water of their more experimental side. Vocals could be a hit and miss though. Oh and the split they did with The Saddest Landscape is amazing.

Like half of my friends listen to them, just because they're from here.I know what you mean. The same crowd who loves Miss May I loves em here in NYC. Saying that these are the revolutionary group of modern metalcore. They were a generic post hardcore band with Craig Mabbit then released a decent first ep with the new guy and everything else is generic metalcore. To me at least. Though, people can listen to whatever they want I'm not gonna tell them to stop listening to them. And I'm listening to Sunn O))), for the like the hundreth time today.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=am8VThuLdss I like Sunn. Black One is one superb record but I'm of a Pelican and Three Silver Mount Zion kinda of guy. Are you a fan of either?

To me at least. yeah i can agree that theyre generic but theyre tolerable enough for me to like them, anyone who thinks theyre revolutionary is either stupid or the biggest scene kid to ever exist. They seem to be a hit with all of the scene kids but a hit-miss band with all the "trve kvlt metalcore" fans. For me Life Cycles and Deceiver werent bad despite being completely generic, downhill from the Empire EP though still likeable. Cant really say that i enjoyed their self-titled EP though. Their new song sucks hard and ill skip out on their new album probably. I like Sunn. Black One is one superb record but I'm of a Pelican and Three Silver Mount Zion kinda of guy. Are you a fan of either? Black One is easily the best Sunn O))) album, though i always thought that Boris and Earth were better drone bands your username has tempted me to post a song from Dopethronehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hz1YgOZaDFw
