The Maiden in Love, wearing her favorite golden dress, was walking through the forests of Neirinia alone. Like most days, she did not have much to do or any places to go, so she just walked until she ran into someone. Then the fun would truly begin.
Neirinia was unlike a lot of the spirit realm. There was no dominate army or king; no evil threatened the existence of the land. Perhaps that was the reason why she decided to stay, but she kept feeling she was forgetting something. She decided to stop thinking for a minute and stop to pick a pink flower that was growing in the glass at the side of the dirt road. How beautiful, she thought.

The grass in the forest ruffled slightly as a robed figure was walking some-what slowly through it. It stood tall, and the back of the robe slid against the grass. It was almost like the figure was dragging it's feet. The robe was covering up most of it's body but one could see it's skeletal-eroded and dead face. Where it's eye-sockets should be is a glowing red-sphere which serves as it's sight. It was Fushioh Richie. Formerly the Great Dezard who took up his life and became a living dead, so that he may continue his qest for knowledge. The proud Lich came to a halt. It stood there motionless, perhaps it was thinking about the distance of the forest. None could tell, but it soon re-picked up it's movement and continued walking. It released a soft moan like noise as it peered across the forest and saw a bright-golden dress which stuck out like a sore thumb. Will it go to the being in the dress? The Lich still walked at it's slow pace, now in the direction of the gold dress it saw. It intrigued it.

Maiden looked up from her flower to see a cloaked figure walking towards her. The forest's trees and shadows distorted her view of the being, but without a doubt in her mind, it was walking towards her. Was this cloaked stranger a friend or enemy? She was not sure, but then she smiled lightly and giggled. It really did not matter, because soon enough it would become her slave. That was what she was sure of. Rather than go into the forest, where the tree's branches could poke holes in her dress or mess up her shiny, long brown hair, she remained where she was, pretending to not even notice the figure. She took a sniff of her flower, wishing that that it would hurry up. It walked so slow.

Still walking slow, Fushioh Richie, the lich came more into view. It now saw that the gold-dress was being worn by a female body. Another Duel Spirit much like it's self. Before long, the lich stood in plain view of the young lady and cam to a complete halt. It lowered it's head so that the hood of the robe would cover it's face. It hid it's skeltal body behind the robe and crossed it's arms, trying to make it look more like it was a normal human being, albeit a little tall. It tried to speak but could not. It let out a grunt and what seemed to have been a sigh. It stood there, across from the young lady, blank and no show of emotion, hidden in the darkness of it's robe.

Maiden stared at the cloaked figure, somewhat disappointed. She could not even get a good look at its face, and by the grunt it just gave, she was not even sure if it was remotely human. She would have leaned her body to the left a little because she thought she saw a tail there, but she did not want to seem rude. At least not yet. Still, the being, human or not, could be useful to her, but she decided before she gains control of it she would test it first to see who it really was. "Hello, there," she said cutely, looking up at the tall, mysterious figure without fear. "What's your name?"

The wind blew, setting a dry sort of situation. The lich wasn't sure what to say. It could definately see that the young-lady had no fear, which intrigued it. "I." It said weakly, it's voice was heavy and was in a soft whisper. "I was once called..." It paused. "Great Dezard." It finshed it's sentence, saying it's name. Shaking slightly, it rose it's right arm into the air, letting it's skeletal hand stick out of the robe. "Now they call me..." Pausing. "Fushioh Richie." Lowering it's arm back down and lifted its head up. Letting it's two-peering red sphere-like eyes gaze upon every detail of the young-lady before it. With it's other arm, it pushed the hood back slightly. Rather then the hood coming off of the top, it sat against a large staff-like object which was attached to it's back. "How about you...?" It said, pausing after that first sentence. "What is your name?"

"Oh, mine? I really do not have one, but most people call me the Maiden in Love," she said sweetly. Hmph, she thought. So it was not human. It's a zombie, an unappealing creature as Maiden saw it. Whatever. She will gain control of it anyway; having a slave, even if for a few hours, is always fun, no matter the species. Then she will either dispose of it or leave it, confused of what just happened, while she continues on her way. Now she just has to have it "hurt" her. "Well, you seem really nice," she said, and then she dove out, her arms open wide, ready to hug the creature.

It stood there, assessing what she had told it. Before it could realize what was happening it found it self being pushed over by glomp from the Maiden in Love. It let out a sound which sounded something "Aaaaa" It was easily pushed off it's balance and they both came falling to the forest floor. The red light which composed it's eyes went black for a moment before re-appearing, almost as if it had blinked. The lich attempted to move it's body but couldn't seem to be able to do it. It was once-again un sure of what to say, and it most ceartinly didn't want to touch the young maiden with it's disgusting skeletal hands, so it felt like it should wait there helplessly. It started to ponder thoughts about the Maiden. Well aware of it being another Duel Spirit.

The Maiden lied up next to Fushioh Richie, who was still lying on the ground. She looked down at it with tear filled eyes. "Why did you just fall down like that?" she asked, sounding heartbroken. "That really hurt!" She sounded tragically hurt and anyone would fall for it, but really it was furtherest from the truth. Fake tears began coming from her eyes, and she turned away from the zombie as she put her hands to her face to stop the tears from running down. Even zombies cannot avoid my charm, she thought. Once it receives a Maiden Counter, it will be all over.

The lich gave out a few grunts. It was trying to say something but it could not word it. It levitated with magic and stood back up on it's boney feet. Finnaly, after continually grunting, the Lich placed it's boney hand against it's cranium, similar to a gesture of a man face-palming him self. "Please accept my apolagies." It said, trying to speak through the subtle yet powerful charm the Maiden was giving off. "It has been." Pausing. "A long time since i've even been near another soul." Pausing again. "My people skills are really..." It stopped what it was saying as it then heard the Maiden start crying. "Hey...!" It said in it's weak voice, trying to lift it, put more emotion into it. "Don't cry..." The Lich, then sent it's hand out, it wanted to reach for the maiden to try and calm her down but it's hand was hesitant. Both from the charm the maiden was giving off, and from it's own fear of being a monster.

Upon hearing the creature's voice, the Maiden stopped crying for a moment and looked up. The Lich was at her side, its hand out, trying to calm her. She almost smiled. Perfect, she thought. It was that easy. Even for an undead, her charm was that irresistible. She began wiping her tear filled eyes, yet her makeup was as perfect as ever. Her eyes remaining watery, she said, "I thought you were really nice." She sniffed cutely, riping her eyes some more. "If you don't want me to cry, why did you just cause me to fall down like that?" She asked, heartbroken.

"Again." It paused. "I apolagize. I guess it is hard to understand my position." It spoke in it's same voice, standing next to the now-watery eyed Maiden. "How would you react, to a person you'd never seen before? Espesically if you have had never seen one for over hundreds of years." It was trying to make reason, trying to make it's voice sound better, trying to make communication between the two easier. "There is no need to cry." It was beginning to be able to not have to pause before sentences, but it was still there for the time being. "No harm was done." That being said, it nodded it's head and attempted to give the Maiden it's hand, to help her off the ground.

The Maiden smiled. Not only was she irresistible to it, it also was learning how to speak better. Within a few minutes, it went from talking with grunts to talking in complete sentences. Maybe it will thank me when I'm done using it, she thought. Whatever. It did not really matter to her. She took its hand, which seemed even less disgusting then before, and used it as support as she stood up. "Thanks," she said cutely. A small heart appeared on the creature's chest, showing that it received a Maiden counter. But it was not under her control yet. She activated the Equip Spell, Cupid's Kiss. Although she appeared unchanged, now if the creature hurts her again, she will have complete control over it. As the monster let go of his grip on her small hand, she fell again. She lied up, saying, "Oh how could you do that? Release your support when helping me up!" She began to say something else, but tears began flowing from her gentle eyes.

After assessing the situation, the lich noticed something wrong about the picture. The Lich took it's arms back to it's side. It wasn't sure what to say, but it thought perhaps now it would be better if it would just shut up. Having forgot that Duel Monsters Spirits can be sneaky and have powerful abilties, he felt like he was making a mistake trying to befriend another one. The Lich grunted and stood perfectly still, looking down at the Fake-tearing Maiden.

The Maiden glanced up, seeing the Lich unmoved, just staring down at her. Hmph. It has caught on, she thought. And I thought this would be any easy one. Still, it has a Maiden Counter, so it is not immune to my charm. "Oh, ignoring me like that, you're so mean." She dug her face into her hands again. "I really liked you, Lich. I thought you were my friend. I really thought we had a good relationship." She put extra emphasis on those two words. Since it has been a long time since it has been near another soul, these two things must be important to him. With this and her charm, it should break him.

The Lich made a human like gesture, crossing it's arms. "The..." it paused. Intentionally though. "Maiden in love?" It said firmly. It thinks it knows she realized it had caught onto it. "You...you thought we were friends? But." It's voice started to seem a little dissapointed. "Why would a friend...treat someone like this?" It said, referring to the way she was trying to make him feel bad and apolagetic. "Perhaps i am...rusty with people. I have memories of friends. Im sure of it and..." Pausing again and making another gesture like it shook it's head. "Friends don't do things like this to each other!" It tried to put emotion into it's voice. The voice cracked as it got higher but it was hoping it would get through. "Im at least...sure of that."

The Maiden wiped tears from her eyes. "You're right," she said, a little choked up, but nonetheless, adorable. "I should not have made you feel bad for hurting me..." Her voice trailed off. Perhaps another Maiden Counter could do the trick, she thought. "Please, accept this as a token of my apology." She blew him a kiss in the shape of a heart. It hit his chest and melted in, making the heart already there grow larger. Her lovely eyes glanced down and sighed, resting her hand to her cheek. "I suppose I was the mean one after all."

The Lich, Fushioh Richie stood there blankly. Not being sure of what to do now, not being able to move fast enough out of the way, so it took it. The wind picked up again and blew, it's robe fluttered with the wind. The Lich kept it's eyes on the maiden, those deep peering red lights which took the place of his eyes. Not changing or faltering. It didn't speak, it just remained silent. It felt as if the world had stood still.

The Maiden sighed. One Maiden Counter causes the victim to see the Maiden as gorgeous. The second, perfect. The third, irresistible. She blew him another kiss, making it the third Maiden Counter. The heart melted into his chest, and once again grew larger. She did not want it to come to this, but it must be done. "Oh, Lich," she began sobbing. "You're so mean." She sniffed, wiping her eyes. "Just ignoring me like this?" She turned away from the zombie, still knelt on the ground, her hands in her face, holding back the tears.

Celtic Guardian walked along a dirt path through a forest in Neirina. His sword, rather than kept in his hilt, was in his hand. As always, he was eager for a fight, ready to slash out at anything that threatened him. He examined his sword. I'm ready for anything, he thought somewhat arrogantly. He looked up to see a bright golden dress, about fifty yards away. As he approached, he gained a better view of the picture. A young girl, the one wearing the dress, was knelt down crying. She's cute. A tall, opposing figure stood above her a few feet away. He was a zombie for sure, but he was unmoving, like he was dead. He realised this was the perfect opportunity to do something heroic. Celtic Guardian stepped out into the open. He spoke in the deepest voice he could manage and said, "Young lady, is there anything I could help you with? Is this person here causing you any trouble?"

The Maiden almost smiled in glee. She could not believe her luck. Here was this zombie that was resistant to her Maiden Counters, and then a young warrior comes over to help her. That deep voice of his was obviously fake; he's just trying to gain my favor or prove himself, she thought. Either way, it will be easy to get him under my control. She looked up at him with wet eyes. "Here I was minding my own business," she paused to sniff and wipe her eyes. "When this meanie comes around and pushes me down!"

The Lich twitched almost. However, it knew it probbaly had no chance at winning over the young maiden even if it tried to speak. It remained motionless. Watching the two of them it's red eyes grew dimmer, like it was closing it's eyes. It turned it's attention over to the mysterious knight who has appeared. Fushioh Richie managed to dredge up past memories. The Elfish knight reminded him of something.

The Celtic Guardian raised his blade. What reason would this young lady have for lying, he reasoned. "Fiend, for harming this girl you shall perish. Whether her story is true or not, you are without a doubt a creature of the shadows. And because of this, I must destroy you." He paused for a moment to catch his breath. The deep voice was hurting his throat. Hm... There is something odd about this creature. Its motionless, like its dying. Or trying to resist something. No matter. I'll put it out of its misery.

The Maiden, still kneeling on the ground, wiped her eyes and smiled. "Here is a gift for your kindness. May it be good luck in your fight," she pressed her fingers to her lips and blew a kiss to Celtic Guardian in the form of a pink heart. It hit Celtic on the chest and a pink heart appeared on top of the guardian's actual heart. There, she thought. Even if the Lich warns him, I should be able to convince him through my charm. This warrior seems strong and brave. I may keep him under my control for a long time. I'm sure he would not mind.

After a moment of pausing, the Lich finnaly responded. "I do not wish to fight." The Lich stepped out of it's robe-some what so that the Celctic Guardian could indeed see who it really was. It was indeed undead. The lich raised his hand and pointed at the Maiden. "Lust is a deadly sin." It stated. Referring to an old story of ancient times. The Lich then returned it's arms to it's side and would carefully watch the knight. If it had too, it was prepared to defend it self.
