Card Contests... Written cards?

As someone who has in the past made mostly written cards, it seems important to me that something should be said in the Card Contest rules about written cards. Contest makers do not often mention in their contests whether or not written cards are allowed, and it would stop people like me from having to ask all the time if we made a rule about it. Something along the lines of "You cannot submit written cards to a contest unless otherwise stated in the contest creator's rules".

 

Might seem kind of pointless to some people, but it's pretty important to me.

It would be a lot easier to just have it a rule, so it wouldn't have to be asked beforehand. I wouldn't want to have to ask every single time I'm going to enter a contest, just because they didn't specify. Some it's easy to decide for, since they will say "picture" in the rules, but a lot of users, especially newer ones, are not specific.

 

EDIT: I looked at the first page of the contests, and at least 12 (by my count) of the contests do not specify whether or not a card can be written, and definitely not that it had to have a picture. Only one actually said it could be a written card, and two said that the picture of your card just couldn't be a real one or one already used (but not if it -had- to have a picture). A few others had images of your cards with a low judging score: does that mean you could submit a wirrten card at the expense of less points?

 

It would save a lot of time on the part of certain users to have a rule in place that clarifies this.

If it's a conflicting discussion; I will open a thread in Realistic Cards for people to give their input and the rule be changed accordingly. I do not believe anyone not active in Custom Cards (save for the Mods) have any input or say on what goes on there. Hence this request of mine.

 

 

And it's hardly something to mention in Rules. If you cut out something like this, it leaves less social questions. And I do not believe Written Cards are of lesser quality than cards with pictures at all. Actually, I see written cards as higher since there's no flashy element to it.

 

Just... PM some contest makers and get it into the habit of them posting whether or not Picture or Written Cards is accepted; if it bothers you that much.
