OK, these are the results. They will be out of 10, judged on:

Splashability: How useful the card would be in a variety of Decks.

Creativity/Usefulness: Out of 5 marks for Creativity, same for Usefulness.

Pic/OCG/Stats: I will be docking 1 point for every problem I see, quality of OCG may come under a total.

Contest Relevance: How well you stuck to requirements.

[spoiler=The Ringmaster]

[spoiler=Silver Fang Original]

SilverFang.jpg

101155f.jpg

Splashability:

The first effect is potentially useful, but the card is quite restricted to working with Beast Types

6/10

Creativity/Usefulness:

Fairly generic Type support, but it would fit in well with a strict Deck-type as it would support nicely. Fairly basic considering the original, but useful.

7/10

Pic/OCG/Stats:

Pic and stats are keeping within contest rules, so fine. Only 2 OCG errors I can see, they are subtracted from the total.

8/10

Contest Relevance:

It is a good example of the Contest requirements. A different picture may have been more creative, but there is nothing wrong, except the limited use.

8/10

Average Score: 7.25/10

[spoiler=Mr L]

[spoiler=Witty Phantom Original]

SilverFang.jpg

vzdnc9.jpg

Splashability:

The Special Summon effect and potential recycling makes it surprisingly usable. Being a Level 4 Tuner, increases usability nicely. There's a few too many drawbacks for a perfect score, but I'm impressed.

8/10

Creativity/Usefulness:

The effect (as far as I know) is very original and the card is very usable in a variety of Decks. As mentioned before, there are a few too many drawbacks to be the best, but it's originality is fantastic.

9/10

Pic/OCG/Stats

The OCG looks flawless, and the pic, being the same as the original, is fine. However, the stats stray from those of the original. That's 1 off your marks for stats.

9/10

Contest Relevance:

I asked for you to remake a card from the LOB set to something usable by today's standards. You did very well, but the drawbacks to the card keep cutting in. Unless the monster is quickly tributed/synchro'd, you are potentially in a -2 situation.

9/10

Average Score: 8.75/10

[spoiler=Frex]

[spoiler=Hinotama Soul Original]

HinotamaSoulLOB-NA-C-1E.jpg

21083.jpg

Splashability:

The Special Summon requirements are within reason, but the very low number of Deck Types that may use Hinotama, and therefore this card, is limited.

4/10

Creativity/Usefulness:

I really enjoyed how you are bringing in other cards into this cards effect. It's very fitting I think, but in the end, has little use. Hinotama has superior Burners around it, and Charubin is offered little protection and only has use as tribute fodder.

7/10

Pic/OCG/Stats:

Everything looks fine. I can't see any problems with it at all.

10/10

Contest Relevance

Everything was remade nicely, but the focus was to make the card suitable against or in modern decks. While I loved it's effects revolving around other cards in LOB, the card would have nothing running for it other than its SS effect.

6/10

Average Score: 6.75/10

[spoiler=The Lord of Mysterians]

Sychro using Tri-Horned Dragon – Frilled Dragon

Outside Contest Requirements. No score.

[spoiler=jack kenna]

[spoiler=Summoned Skull]

sskull.jpg

113144.jpg

Splashability:

One of the few monsters from LOB to have an impact as the game progressed, it has been given a fitting remake. It is still strong, and provides great Fiend (Dark World maybe?) support. Very usable in a variety of Decks.

10/10

Creativity/Usefulness:

As said, it is very useful and it is great support for Fiend-Types, as well as implementing the customary Archfiend drawback. I didn't notice this first time looking, but it can also be used with other Archfiends to negate potential bad dice rolls, or LP cost. Very useful, can make up great ground in Archfiends as well. Effect is great, maybe not the most original though.

9/10

Pic/OCG/Stats

Where I was impressed with everything else so far, I'm a tad disappointed here. The pic could use a background, but this is helped with the work on the Holo. Bluntly put, the OCG is dreadful, not worded wrong but capitalization and spelling is lacking. The stats are those of the original, so fine.

6/10

Contest Relevance:

OCG and pic aside, everything else is fantastic. This really helps either Generic Fiends, Fableds, Archfiends, Dark World etc. A brilliant effort that I would not have expected from a fairly new member.

10/10

Overall score: 8.75/10

[spoiler=Dogfish44]

[spoiler=Skull Red Bird]

SkullRedBirdLOB-NA-C-1E.jpg

214840.jpg

Splashability:

I'm not so sure on the chances of it getting Special Summoned to the opponents side of the field, chances are, there's a very low chance your opponent may take it themselves but I'm unsure on how you'd get it there yourself. It can help Blackwings, but other alternatives are probably better. Nothing much except a potential filler in Wind decks.

6/10

Creativity/Usefulness:

Aside the potential use in Blackwings, where it's use is limited due to a lot of support being Dark-attribute based, the usefulness runs dry. However, the effect is creative, moulding an existing monster into a popular deck type.

7/10

Pic/OCG/Stats:

No problems here, nothing to dock points for.

10/10

Contest Relevance:

Everything I asked for was done, albeit not in the greatest way. It would be a 10 if not for the limited splashability.

9/10

Average Score: 8/10

[spoiler=WolfFan16]

[spoiler=Dark Magician]

cotd15-8.jpg

225556a.jpg

Splashability:

The Spell Card protection and ATK/DEF boost could see this card used in a lot of Decks, helped by the fact this is a Dark monster. However, would see it's best use in a Dark Magician or Spell Counter Deck.

8/10

Creativity/Usefulness:

The card, while not the most creative, certainly would play a good part in an awful lot of Decks. Dark Magician support is available, generic Spellcaster and Dark support as well, even having use in Spell Counter decks. Very useful indeed. Only downer here is that DMG and the unnecessary Ritual monster can only be searched via Tribute Summon.

8/10

Pic/OCG/Stats:

For you, the name comes into play as well. I'm not particularly sure it was the best choice on your part. The pic, I'm glad you used the original Dark Magician pic over... others. Stats are fine.

8/10

Contest Relevance:

It is difficult to gauge relevance due to it being more of a variation than a remake. Despite Dark Magician having a lot of support already, this is quite a good upgrade, but I really don't see the relevance of Magician of Black Chaos in here, and I think your card is quite OP'd.

7/10

Average Score: 7.75/10

[spoiler=Shadow Legacy]

[spoiler=Blue-Eyes White Dragon]

1386959_f248.jpg

65390.jpg

Splashability:

Very few Deck Types can use this sort of card, so splashability is limited here. I can only see a dedicated BEWD deck or a Blue-Eyes Hopeless Dragon deck using this card.

6/10

Creativity/ Usefulness:

It is a good new take on Blue-Eyes, nice and creative design. A creative idea, but some of the effects are too similar to other Blue-Eyes variants. Usefulness is limited to Dragon-heavy decks, not much other chance of a tribute summon.

8/10

Pic/OCG/Stats

The pic is brilliant, and the stats, despite your card not technically BEWD, the stats match up. OCG looks odd in place. I think it might be spacing. Not bad, but noticeable.

8/10

Contest Relevance:

Not strictly a remake, more of a variation of Blue-Eyes. However, it is still acceptable and still improves upon the original.

7/10

Average Score: 7.25/10

[spoiler=Hila Nuerfa]

[spoiler=Petit Dragon]

PetitDragonLOB-NA-C-1E.jpg

88861269.jpg

Splashability:

It's hard to judge. It's a low enough level that it can be manipulated by most searchers and it's easy to summon and use. Still the effect is fairly awkward, and although it could be fairly useful, your OCG means it's hard to tell.

6/10

Creativity/Usefulness:

The effect seems very creative and original and could be useful but it's missing one important detail. Where the opponents monster comes from. Without that information, the card is unplayable. 5/5 scored for creativity, 0/5 in usefulness for it being, atm, an unusable card.

5/10

Pic/OCG/Stats

In order, the picture isn't great, having been taken from the anime. The name change you added is fairly creative but seems unnecessary. OCG isn't good but I'm glad to say you've improved since. Stats are fine.

6/10

Contest Relevance:

In the end, you got this just about right, you made a good attempt at making it to specifications. It looked just about right apart from the effect.

7/10

Average Score: 6/10

[spoiler=lewis atherton]

[spoiler=Blue-Eyes White Dragon]

1386959_f248.jpg

303169v.jpg

Splashability:

Just about the same as the original, which is to say fairly limited. Even more so here as the better part of the effect would be better off with 2 more. Still, the chances of pulling off this effect are slim as most cards destroy by effects, leaving this BEWD's effect fairly void, as well as cutting out the Vanilla support the original gets.

5/10

Creativity/Usefulness:

The effect is quite original, but falls down a bit. First, for the reason I've already pointed out. Also, equip cards aren't as mainstream as they were a few years ago, further cutting the chance of pulling off the swarm. This limits the usefulness aspect as well. It's a nice try though.

7/10

Pic/OCG/Stats

You should really have cropped the pic a bit first, leaving writing on is noticeable. The OCG is readable, but with a few problems. Stats are fine. -1 for pic, -3 for OCG errors.

6/10

Contest Relevance:

It's not the perfect card, but a decent stab at the swarm almost makes the grade. This plus some other problems drops the score a bit though.

7/10

Average Score: 6.25/10

[spoiler=starwebs1]

[spoiler=Blue-Eyes White Dragon]

1386959_f248.jpg

49714t.jpg

Splashability:

Once again, more of a variation than a remake, but this one has more use than most. It's SS condition is restricting, but opens more freedom for use in other Decks. It's other summoning condition is pointless and there's not much need for the points boost.

6/10

Creativity/Usefulness:

It's basically another step on the chain. BEWD-BEUD-BESD-This. A lot of messing about if you wanted to follow that (unoriginal) line. In terms of effect, it's an unnecessary step from Shining Dragon, and could use a bit more to set it apart.

6/10

Pic/OCG/Stats:

Name is not very creative. The pic isn't one I've seen for BEWD before, so that's a plus. OCG looks good, but the stats, I think, should be those of the original.

8/10

Contest Relevance:

In all honesty, it's almost more of a Shining Dragon remake. It's acceptable but not the most creative. It's tied in enough to BEWD for a good score, but does stray.

7/10

[spoiler=Spoon]

[spoiler=Aqua Madoor]

1847362911343626.jpg

234848l.jpg

Splashability:

Looks like a great wall card. The DEF is still good enough to hold off most Lv 4 beaters and it's got a great a back-up plan to deal with Nobleman-like cards. Could easily fit in to any but the most Theme-strict Decks.

8/10

Creativity/Usefulness:

A great effect for itself as a wall and the chance to bring in an almost invincible Neo? Would be great defence, but it's not the most attack-minded approach. A solid card nonetheless and usefulness is without doubt.

9/10

Pic/OCG/Stats

I can't pick out anything wrong here. Well done.

10/10

Contest Relevance:

A pretty much perfect card, everything I asked for. Ticks every box I set for another 10.

10/10

Average Score: 9.25/10

[spoiler=FTW (For The Wynn)]

[spoiler=Fiend Reflection #2]

FiendReflection2LOB-NA-C-1E.jpg

264408k.jpg

Splashability:

There's no denying that the Sakuretsu-type effect is useful, but in the end, it doubles the cards that can target it and if it pulls off it's Trap effect, there's almost no chance you'll pull it off again. It's pretty much a 1-turn stall that can fit in to most decks though.

8/10

Creativity/Usefulness:

It is a very creative idea, there's no argument there. There is a lot of use, but in the end, it will always pretty much end up in a 1 for 1 situation.

9/10

Pic/OCG/Stats:

Pic from original card is good. OCG seems perfect. Stats are from the original, so again no problems. Full marks.

10/10

Contest Relevance:

Does everything that was asked, in probably the most unexpected fashion. If not for a lack of longevity, it would be a great addition to the game.

9/10

Average Score: 9/10

The scoreboard will be put on the original post. Prizes will be given ASAP.

Yes, yes, yes! :lol:

Another badge for my virtual jacket :P

0.25 points, that was darn close. Great competition, and though I can barely read it, I think FTW's card was way more creative than mine, another kind of Trap Monster, I like the idea :) Anyways, thanks for holding this short, but sweet contest ;)

Congratulations on the win. In terms of creativity, FTW's was probably better, but I felt yours was more useful.

For Mr L and jack kenna, you will both get your reps tomorrow as I've used my quota for the day.
