‘I just don’t get it why do I continue to keep on losing?’ Thomas thought as he lied in his bed staring at the bottom of the top bunk. ‘First I lost to Professor Black a highly respected teacher at the academy.
Then today I lost to Chris Fusion a highly skilled student at the academy. I just don’t understand how I am losing these duels when I am in control of them. It seems that whenever I’m in control I slip up.’ He continued. ‘Maybe I should just catch some sleep I really shouldn’t think about this sort of thing at night.’ Thomas added and closed his eyes and fell asleep.

[i][b]Meanwhile…[/b][/i]
“Stab-Stab-Stabity-Stab-Stab oh look at that you’re dead well that was no fun at all.” Joe shouted as he took his knife out of another person’s head. “Oh how I just love stabbing people it’s so fulfilling.” He added when his phone started to beep. “Huh? What’s all this then?” Joe added as he grabbed his phone from his pocket. “Hello what can I do you for?” He asked as he answered his phone.
“Joe I’m going to have to ask you to stop killing people after beating them in a card game. That’s not your mission. We don’t need the authorities on our tail because of your murderous actions.” The voice replied.
“What are you talking about I haven’t been killing anyone.” Joe Joked as he hid his knife behind his back.
“BULL SH*T JOE! Ashley told me all about that murder you pulled the other night. Seriously we don’t need the cops on us so stop killing innocent duelists it’s only a card game for Christ sakes.” The voice said as he hung up on Joe.
“Oh well looks like the curtains close on my fun what a shame.” Joe sighed as he placed his phone back in his pocket and walked off.

[i][b]Several, Several hours later…[/b][/i]
“Yo Thomas come over here there’s someone you should totally meet.” Chris shouted as Thomas entered the cafeteria.
“Hey Chris so who should I meet?” Thomas asked as he pulled up next to Chris.
“This is over here is my main man Daisuke Hikaro.” Chris replied as Daisuke reached over to shake Thomas’ hand.
“What’s up? The name is Daisuke Hikaro pleasure to meet you.” Daisuke said as Thomas shook Daisukes hand.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you to.” Thomas smiled as Daisuke continued to eat his lunch.
“I watched the duel you had with Chris and I must say that it was simply an awesome duel the two of you had. It would be my honor if I could duel you sometime soon man.” Daisuke added as he swallowed a sandwich he was eating.
“Well class starts in about Ten minutes so I’m going head off now and do a quick study.” Chris said as he packed up all his trash he made.
“Catch you in class man.” Daisuke added as he high-fived Chris. “You should hurry up and finish your food Thomas or you’ll be late.” Daisuke added as he stood up and followed Chris leaving his trash behind on the table.
‘Maybe I should be late…’ Thomas doubted himself after the performances he’s had the last few days.

“Okay class today we’re going to have another duel just because I believe that it’s better to learn while doing something other than spending hours studying for it. So let’s begin with the dueling!” Black shouted at the front of the class.

A half a dozen duels have already gone passed and Black face palmed at the horrible displays being shown by some of the lower classed duelists in the class. ‘Uh none of these students have any talent here at all that is with the exceptions of…’ Black thought as he looked at Thomas and Chris in the class. ‘Thomas King and Chris Fusion these two are the only duelists I see here with actual talent.’ Black thought to himself and noticed that another duel had just finished with Leo winning against another opponent. ‘Maybe I should give Thomas an easy opponent to give him some confidence in his abilities to unleash his true potential. Hm let’s see here ah! Daisuke Hikaro he should be a fairly easy opponent for Thomas to face.’ Black thought as he scrolled through the list of students.

“Okay the final duel of today will be between Daisuke Hikaro and Thomas King. Best of luck to both students, the topic is just a casual duel.” Black announced then he sat down on his chair and smiled. ‘Yes I believe Thomas should win this duel fairly easily, if he cannot then there is no place for him in my plan.’ Black thought to himself as he watched the duelists walk down to the field.

“Hey man it looks like your dream will come true.” Thomas said as he walked on the field.
“Yeah just don’t hold back or go easy on me okay?” Daisuke replied as he activated his duel disk.

“Okay I’ll draw!” Daisuke shouted as he drew his sixth card. ‘Oh my goodness, it’s Dark Magician Girl!’ Daisuke smiled as he drew his favorite card in his deck.
‘How can you like such an ugly, worthless card like that Daisuke?’ Daisuke heard a voice but no one was near.
“THIS CARD IS NOT UGLY OR WORTHLESS!” Daisuke blurted out loud which confused Thomas and everyone else in the room.
“Uh who are you talking to Daisuke?” Thomas asked.
‘Great now you’re embarrassing the both of us.’ The voice said.
‘Shut the hell up Yuki that was your entire fault!’ Daisuke thought trying to communicate with the voice in his mind.
‘How was it my entire fault when you were the idiot who blasted out such ridiculous words?’ Yuki asked which only infuriated Daisuke.
“That’s it I’ll prove to you that it is not ridiculous Draw!” Daisuke shouted as he drew another card thinking it was his draw phase again.
“Uh Daisuke you’ve already drawn.” Thomas told Daisuke who seemed confused.
‘Oh that was serious fail.’ Yuki face palmed as Daisuke placed the card back into his deck.
‘Again that was your fault.’ Daisuke replied.
“Okay first I’m going to Normal Summon the Monster Dark Elf in Attack Position. Then I’ll activate the Spell Card Magical Mallet by sending any number of cards from my hand to my deck I can draw the same amount of cards from the deck. I’ll send two cards to my deck to draw two more. I set three cards’ and end my turn.”

Thomas sighed as he drew his sixth card not because it was a bad draw but something else was bothering him. ‘I’ve got to contend with a 2000 ATK monster and possibly Three Trap Cards yep this is just a great way to start off.’ Thomas thought sarcastically.
“I Special Summon Samurai Knight - Harris, Knight of Honor. Next I’ll Special Summon Samurai Knight - Perence, Knight of Power and Samurai Knight’s Dragon from my hand. Then by Releasing Harris and Samurai Knight’s Dragon I can Special Summon Samurai Knight - Knight of Tradition. Next I’ll activate Knight of Traditions effect to Special Summon Harris back from my Graveyard. Brothers of Tradition unite and achieve victory together! Synchro Summon Samurai Knight - Knight of Shining Armor! When this card is Synchro Summoned I can destroy one card my opponent controls and inflict Damage equal to its ATK points.”
“I activate the Trap Card Skill Drain by paying 1000 Life Points all monsters on the field have their effects negated! (Life Points: 3000)” Daisuke replied.
“Knight of Shining Armor attack Dark Elf!” Thomas shouted as the Golden Knight rushed over the other side of the field only to change the target to Perence. “What? Why is my monster on your field?” Thomas asked as Daisuke smiled.
“I activated Magical Arm Shield when your monster attacked and I took control of the other monster you controlled and changed the attack to Perence.” Daisuke smiled even though his Life Points dropped by 900 (Life Points: 2100).
‘Hm clever move maybe your deck isn’t as worthless as I once thought.’ Yuki thought.
“I end my turn.” Thomas said with a shocked voice. ‘Maybe I’m not such a great duelist as I thought and hoped I was.’ He thought to himself losing his confidence.

Black looked on and saw Thomas’ facial expression Black observed the duel and thought to himself. ‘What’s wrong with Thomas? He isn’t showing the confidence had when he dueled Chris and I. Is he starting to lose faith in his own dueling abilities?’ Black wondered as he watched on.

“I draw! Next I Activate the Spell Card Magical Dimension! By Releasing Dark Elf I can Special Summon the all powerful Cosmo Queen from my hand! (2900 ATK, 2450 DEF) But that’s not all afterwards I can destroy one monster you control and I choose to destroy Knight of Shining Armor!” Daisuke smiled as Knight of Shining Armor vanished. “My Queen attacks but first I’ll activate the Trap Card Magician’s Circle! Both players Special Summon 1 Spellcaster type monster from their decks with an ATK that’s bellow 2000. I choose Dark Magician Girl.” Daisuke became joyful when his favorite card Dark Magician Girl appeared on the field.

“Uh-oh Thomas runs a Samurai Knight deck I don’t think he runs any Spellcaster type Monsters. If he doesn’t have one then he’ll lose the duel!” Leo shouted from the crowd.
“I Special Summon Samurai Knight - Merlin, Knight of Magic from my Deck. When it’s Special Summoned it is unaffected by Trap, Spell or Monster Card effects. Also if it’s Special Summoned I can end the Battle Phase which I will do.”
“I end my turn.” Daisuke replied he could do nothing more.

‘Ugh great I’ve got a 2900 ATK point monster and on top of that a 2000 ATK monster I was lucky to survive this long but now I don’t know what I’m going to do.’ Thomas thought as he stared at his Deck. “I draw!” His face seemed surprised at his next draw. ‘This card it just maybe my answer to winning this duel!’ Thomas thought as he stared at the card he drew. “I activate the effect of Merlin, Knight of Magic! By sending one Samurai Knight Monster from my hand to the Graveyard I can destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field. I send Samurai Knight - Harris, Knight of Honor from my hand to destroy Skill Drain!”
“But Royal Decree negates Merlins effect!” Daisuke shouted out of desperation trying to call of the play.
“Normally that would be true but Merlin is unaffected by Spell Cards and Trap Cards so Skill Drain does not apply for Merlin! Now I activate the Spell Card Samurai Path! I Special Summon Samurai Knight - Perence, Knight of Power and Samurai Knight - Lucian, Knight of Loyalty from my Deck. Now seeing as Royal Decree is out of the way I Normal Summon Samurai Knight - Izzy the Ignition from my hand. I activate Izzy’s effect by Releasing him I can destroy one card on the field. I choose to destroy your Cosmo Queen!” Thomas shouted as Izzy latched onto Cosmo Queen and exploded destroying Daisukes monster.
“NO!” Daisuke shouted as he watched his ace monster explode.
“Perence will attack Dark Magician Girl and Merlin and Lucian will attack you directly for the game!” Thomas said with a smile knowing that he had finally won his first duel at the academia.

‘Well it seems that he has finally tasted victory. Oh how sweet it must feel for him.’ Black closed his eyes and smiled as he had a sip of his cup of tea. ‘Damn fools I wanted sugar not salt. Why is it that all the staff members here bloody idiots?’ Black sighed as he poured his cup of tea in the bin beside him.

‘Daisuke you lost again to someone who should have been your match. I am extremely disappointed in you.’ Yuki echoed.
“Why don’t you shut the hell up and try dueling for yourself?” Daisuke rhetorically asked Yuki who seemed eager in this challenge.
‘Okay big boy you’re on and I’m taking over for a little while.’ Yuki echoed as Daisukes eyes widened in fear.
“WHAT? NO!!!” Daisuke shouted as Yukis red eyes replaced Daisukes brown eyes.
“Thomas wait up I want to ask you something.” Yuki shouted at Thomas before he started walking back to his seat.
“Sure Daisuke what is it? Also why does your voice sound slightly feminine?” Thomas asked as Yuki grew irritated.
“I challenge you to a rematch at 4pm by the Crimson Archfiend Dorm. If you accept my challenge I expect you not to be late.”
Thomas looked like he was about to hesitate for a moment until he smiled. “Sure bring it on just don’t be late yourself Daisuke.” Thomas replied and left the field.

‘Hm this is odd it appears that Daisukes eyes have a red aura around them, I think I should take note of this.’ Black thought to himself as he looked on at the situation.
‘There you have your duel now change back!’ Daisuke ordered as Yuki closed her eyes and chuckled.
‘I don’t think so Daisuke I kind of like being in control for once, you know being stuck like that all those years I think I should be able to stretch out for a bit. I think it’s fair that I stay out for lets say a few years?’ Yuki replied.
‘Don’t you dare get that idea Yuki remember last time you were out? You ended up killing some people we were lucky not to be arrested because of our young age and the fact that a known criminal just happened to receive the blame.’
‘Well then I suppose if you ever want this body again then you’d better hope that your friend Thomas can beat me later!’ Yuki continued chuckling as Daisuke grew worried.
‘Thomas… Please save me.’

I liked the chapter, but you should explain effects out each time you play a monster, even if you've done it several times before (which sucks, but then it's easier to understand and more like the anime). Like during your first turn, I didn't get why you got to special summon those 2 knights after the 1st one.
But looking forward to what mayhem Yuki can rile up.

Well aside from the long, and confusing, and mostly unnecesary explanation about personas Yuki gave (since he could have made it SO MUCH shorter, more to the point, and said it after saying he would help Thomas find his own) I like the idea.

1. Why are they always the opposite gender?
2. Why the fux are the 3 years older? (it just seems kinda random to me, especially considering they are born at the same time (at least, that's what I got after reading the long-ass explanation)

Considering this is an anime fic I'll let all the relative unrealistic-ness of split personas in that world slide, ESPECIALLY THE FACT YUKI COMING OUT MADE DAISUKE GROW BREASTS!!!! O__O

Oh, and what's also funny is that Daisuke dueled like I would have, and even did no damage despite his amazing chance of doing a lot of damage.

And about the age I made them 3 years older so that they are better duelists than the human. Like for example Daisuke isn't a good duelist but in Yuki's next duel She'll be much stronger than Daisuke.[/b][/font]

Thomas seems a bit 2-sided to me. 1 side is his normal side, that is kind. The other is when he lost, and went into a mini depression. From the newest chapter it seems his personality is trying to contact him.

Funniest part so far: tie between stabbing dude scene, or the gender change at the end of chapter 8(I think...)

Eh, duel wasn't that exciting, and I wonder what happened to the Knight dragon's monster, that had 2500 ATK, then suddenly was gone.

Also, that duel makes me assume Daisuke is actually better than Yuki. Or that both of them just suck.

Seemed a bit rushed of a duel, but eh, at least Daisuke is back.
