Limited Edition KING Posted November 9, 2010 Report Share Posted November 9, 2010 [font="Verdana"]Hello and welcome to my latest fanfic "Duel Academia" in this fic the characters are based off YCMer's well most of the main characters anyway in this fanfic I'll be introducing themes at certain parts of each chapter which hopefully will set the tone of place and make reading this fanfic more enjoyable! Notes : 1 - The setting is not on an Island it is in the city. 2 - Rated PG 16 for use of language and some themes. That equals to exactly forty cards!” Thomas said as he finished counting up all the cards in his deck. Thomas turned to his bedside table and grabbed his deck box and placed his deck of cards inside it. Thomas then pocketed his deck box and opened his bedroom door and closed it behind him. Thomas continued walking through the hallway until he reached the stairs. Thomas climbed down the stairs and walked over to the kitchen. He saw his mother cooking some food. “Good morning Thomas, would you like some breakfast before you head off to the Duel Academia?” Thomas’ mother asked him and placed some Toast on a plate. “I suppose I could have a bite to eat before I head off sure.” Thomas pulled up a chair and sat on it while his mother placed a plate close to him. “It seems like only yesterday when your brother Joe headed off to Duel Academia.” Thomas looked to his side he always had a hatred of his brother much like most siblings do. The only thing they had in common was the fact that they dueled and looked similar. Other than these facts they were two very different people Joe was popular, mostly because whenever he had friends over he would use Thomas to make himself look tougher. He would do this by pushing and sometimes hitting Thomas when mother wasn’t in the room. Thomas became bitter because of this and hasn’t had too many friends, nor cares about having them. Thomas then grabbed the piece of toast and walked out the door his mother attempted to stop him but it was too late he was already out the door. Thomas opened the gates then shut it and walked along the path of the street he was in, it was a nice neighborhood good neighbors no vandalism, no graffiti it was all so perfect just the way Thomas liked it. Thomas started eating the piece of toast his mother had made for him and continued walking for several minutes until he reached the city. Thomas only lived a few streets away from the city so he could walk there in little time.[/left] [center]5 minutes later [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbfN0Q_h364&feature=related] City Theme[/url][/center] [left]Thomas had made it to the city however despite going to the city several times before he had no clue where the Duel Academia was. Fortunately he found a city map which had its location on it. “Good the Academia isn’t too far away I should be able to make it there in less than 10 minutes.” Thomas said and began walking north. Shortly after he began walking he could see another boy who looked two years younger than Thomas who had a troubled look on his face. “Can I help you?” Thomas asked the boy who looked up at Thomas still looking troubled. “Oh yeah I need help do you know where Duel Academia is? I’m lost and don’t know where it is.” The younger boy asked Thomas. “Why yes I do, I’m heading there myself.” Thomas replied which made the young boy happy and relieved. “Could I walk there with you? I seriously don’t know where to go and I don’t want to be late.” The young boy pleaded with Thomas. “I guess so, what’s your name if you don’t mind me asking?” Thomas asked the boy. “The name’s Leonard Reynolds but please call me Leo!” Leo replied. “Okay Leo, my name is Thomas King nice to meet you.” Thomas said and offered a handshake to Leo, which Leo accepted. “We better head off now or we’ll be late.” Thomas said breaking the brief silence. “Yeah let’s go!” Leo said sounding much more optimistic and motivated then before. [/left] [center]10 minutes later [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxO3jSNb6bk&feature=related]Duel Academia Theme[/url][/center] [left]Thomas and Leo walked up to the Academia both were in awe of its beauty but Thomas was more in awe than Leo was. “C’mon Thomas let’s go inside!” Leo said excitedly as he tugged at Thomas’ shirt urging him to move. “Oh that’s right the Academia, we have to go inside to sign in.” Thomas replied like he wasn’t paying attention to anything Leo said. “Well duh.” Leo paused. “Dumbass” “You call me that again and I’ll snap your frigid little neck you got that?” Thomas shouted but Leo slapped Thomas across the back of his head. “Oh you did not just slap me you little bastard.” Thomas shouted and Leo started running towards the Academia. “HEY GET BACK HERE!” Thomas shouted and ran off after him. “WHERE ARE YOU, YOU LITTLE SH*T!?” Thomas shouted as he entered the building which caused some shock on some of the teachers’ faces that were standing in the hallway. “Uh-ha, I didn’t mean you guys…” Thomas said with an embarrassed look on his face. Thomas walked passed by the teachers who each gave him a bad look not the best way to start the year. Thomas eventually reached the sign in desk at the end of the hallway, next to the desk was a door which Thomas wondered what it was for. Thomas made his way over to the desk and saw a sign in sheet with a pen attached to it. “Please sign in.” the receptionist told Thomas. Thomas looked at the sheet and saw Leo had only just signed in which gave him a wide evil looking smirk. ‘I’ll get you back soon Leo just you wait.’ Thomas thought while he signed his name on the paper. “Please go through the door and to your left you will find a door, go through that door and the Duel Field will be straight ahead. The chancellor is going to address all the students soon so it’s best you hurry along.” The receptionist told Thomas, who followed the orders given and opened the door. Thomas walked down the hallway and eventually came across a door which had the words ‘Duel Field’ on them. “Well that’s quite helpful.” Thomas said and opened the door where he entered what looked like an arena full of students. Thomas continued walking and could see there were four duel fields which could hold four duels at one time. Thomas looked on in awe but was interrupted by Leo who slapped him across the head again which only infuriated Thomas even more. “I am going to kill you!” Thomas shouted and attempted to choke Leo but was interrupted by a nearby teacher. “You two enough of this nonsense” The teacher shouted at both students. “You’re lucky I’m not going to expel you right now!” “Sorry miss.” Leo said. “Yeah sorry miss” Thomas said after Leo. “Now the two of you should find seats the Chancellor will be addressing you very shortly!” The teacher said and walked off. Thomas and Leo quickly found seats and both of them sat down. Shortly the Chancellor walked onto a stage that was in the middle of all four duel fields. Thomas could see a big widescreen which showed the Chancellors face. He had a huge smiled and had dark blue hair. Thomas thought he looked odd because he had never seen anyone with Blue hair before and couldn’t help but have a little laugh. “Hello and welcome to a new year! I’m sure many of you are familiar with the schedule and some of you don’t know what it is. Well for those of you who aren’t aware you will each be given timetables shortly but first I think it’s a great idea to kick off the New Year with dueling! On the widescreen you will each see match-ups between yourselves and Duel Academia staff. This is a great way to see how you all pair up against staff members. Thomas King against Professor Black!” The Chancellor announced and walked off the stage. Thomas stood up from his chair and began walking down the nearby stairs. Thomas continued walking towards a duel field which another teacher was already standing in there waiting. “So you’re Thomas King you’ll be in my class for the first semester. I look forward to teaching you.” Professor Black said as Thomas walked on the field. “Wow thanks I look forward to being your student!” Thomas replied. “Now then let us begin the duel shall we?” Professor Black asked as he activated his Duel Disk. “Yeah sure let’s get this started!” Thomas replied enthusiastically. [center] Professor Black: 4000 Life Points Thomas King: 4000 Life Points[/center] “Okay first I’m going to start this off by Special Summoning Samurai Knight - Harris, Knight of Honor in Attack Position!” Thomas shouted as an image of a Knight appeared on the field slicing the air with its sword. “Then I’ll Summon Samurai Knight – Lucian, Knight of Loyalty in Attack Position. Then I set one card and end my turn.” Thomas said confidently. [center]Cards on Field: 3 (Face Down, SK - Lucian, Knight of Loyalty & SK - Harris, Knight of Honor) Cards in Hand: 3[/center] “Samurai Knight Monsters? I’ve only seen one duelist use those cards before, are you related to Joe King?” Professor Black asked Thomas. “Yes, he’s my brother.” Thomas said and shrugged. “Interesting, let’s see if you’re any good like your brother.” Professor Black said and drew his sixth card. “I’ll start this by playing the Field Spell Card Venom Swamp!” Professor Black played the card and the duel field changed into a dark swamp. “Next I’ll Summon Venom Snake and use its effect to place 1 Venom Counter on your Samurai Knight Lucian!” The Snake wrapped itself onto the knight and placed a counted on its head then returned to its side of the field. Suddenly Lucian’s ATK dropped from 1700 to 1300. “Hey why did my monsters ATK drop by 500?” Thomas asked. “That’s the beauty of Venom Swamp! For each Venom counter on your monsters they lose 500 ATK but that’s not all if their ATK is reduced to 0 then they’re destroyed!” Professor Black smiled and began laughing. “Now I’ll set a card and end my turn oh and during each of our End Phase’s your monsters gain another Venom Counter.” [center]Cards on Field: 3 (Face Down, Venom Swamp, Venom Snake) Cards in Hand: 3[/center] “No way!” Thomas watched in horror as both his monsters dropped down to 800 and 100 respectively. ‘I have to do something otherwise my monsters will be destroyed at the end of my turn.’ Thomas thought as he drew his card. “Not so fast! I activate the Trap Card Venom Burn! This card removes all Venom counters from a monster you control and then inflicts 700 Life Points to you for each counter removed!” A Snake appeared from out of nowhere and attacked Thomas’ Life Points directly for 1400 damage. [center]Black’s Life Points: 4000 Thomas’ Life Points: 2600 [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2d3l30fQa-A&feature=related]Theme[/url][/center] “Don’t count me out just yet!” Thomas shouted as he drew a card. “I release both Samurai Knight Lucian and Samurai Knight Harris to Summon Samurai Knight – Knight of Tradition in Attack Position! Then I use his effect to bring Harris back from the Graveyard. Next I’ll activate the Spell Card Samurai Path which allows me to Special Summon up to two Samurai Knight Monsters from my Deck or the hand and I choose to bring out Samurai Knight – Perence, Knight of Power in Attack Position! Next I’ll send Samurai Knight Harris and Samurai Knight of Tradition to my Graveyard and Synchro Summon Samurai Knight – Knight of Shining Armor!” A large shining angel appeared and set a bright glow across the arena. “Impressive move there” Professor Black praised Thomas’ move. “That’s not all you see when Samurai Knight of Shining Armor is Synchro Summoned, one monster you control is destroyed and inflicts damage to you equal to its ATK points!” Thomas said with a smile. “What no way!” Professor Black watched as the Golden Knight charged at Venom Snake and inflicts 1000 points of Damage to Professor Black’s life points. “It’s over now! Samurai Knight of Shining Armor, finish him with Golden Strike Slash!” Thomas commanded his Knight and it charged straight for Professor Black. “Not so fast I Special Summon Battle Fader from my hand which thanks to its effect ends the Battle Phase!” Professor Black Smiled as Thomas’ Golden Knight was stopped dead in its tracks. “I’ll end my turn.” Thomas said sounding stunned. [center]Cards on Field: 3 (Face Down, SK - Knight of Shining Armor & SK - Perence, Knight of Power) Cards in Hand: 1[/center] “And don’t forget your monsters gain a Venom Counter and lose 500 ATK points!” Professor Black smiled as each of Thomas’ monsters dropped their ATK. [center] Black’s Life Points: 3000 Thomas’ Life Points: 2600[/center] “Now it’s my turn.” Professor Black announced as he drew a card. “Now I active the Spell Card Foolish Burial to send Vennominon the King of Poisonous Snakes to my Graveyard, but he won’t stay there for long as I activate the Spell Card Monster Reborn to bring him back from the Graveyard! Arise Snake King arise!” Professor Black shouted as a giant snake appeared on the field in a defensive stance. “What? It only has 500 ATK! Why bring it out when it will just be destroyed by my monster?” Thomas questioned the Professor. “All will be revealed in due time, now make your move.” Professor Black replied. Cards on Field: 3 (Venom Swamp, Vennominon King of Poisonous Snakes & Battle Fader.) Cards in hand: 0 Thomas drew his card and looked at the current situation in front of him. ‘Okay so I have Knight of Shining Armor and Perence out on the field plus that one face-down. Now my monsters have already lost 1000 Attack points already due to Venom Swamp and if I end my turn without doing much then they’ll lose another 500 Attack points. Luckily he has no cards in hand so another Battle Fader shouldn’t appear if I manage a direct attack. Wait that’s it my face down Samurai Force, when 2 or more Samurai Knight monsters attack but haven’t inflicted battle damage I can activate it to inflict 2000 points of Damage to the opponent! It may not win the duel but it will most certainly give me an advantage.’ Thomas calculated his thoughts and had a wide grin on his face. “Okay Perence attack and destroy that Battle Fader. Next Knight of Shining Armor will attack and destroy that King of Poisonous Snakes!” “Fruitless I activate Vennominon’s effect! When it is destroyed by battle I can remove a Reptile monster from my Graveyard and bring him back!” “I activate a Trap Card Samurai Force! When I have 2 or more Samurai Knight Monsters attack but not inflict Battle Damage this card allows me to inflict 2000 points of damage!” [center]Black’s Life Points: 1000 Thomas’ Life Points: 2600 [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2eDDs_tCdg&feature=related]Theme[/url][/center] “Clever move, my Vennominon still comes back but that’s not what you were concentrating on.” Professor Black praised Thomas’ wits. “I’ll end my turn.” Thomas said. [center]Cards on Field: 2 (SK – Knight of Shining Armor & SK – Perence Knight of Power) Cards in hand: 2[/center] Professor Black drew a card and smiled it was the right card he needed. “I activate the Spell Card, Snake Kings Treasure! What it does is if I have a Vennominon King of Poisonous Snakes out on the field I can Tribute it to Special Summon Vennominaga the Diety of Poisonous Snakes from my Deck ignoring its Summoning conditions. That’s not the best part though I can also draw 4 cards from my deck but the cards I don’t use during the End Phase they’re removed from the hand. Next I activate the Spell Card Snake Rain! I discard 1 card from my hand and send 4 Reptiles from my Deck to the Graveyard. Now my Diety show your true power!” Professor Black shouted and started laughing like a maniac as his monsters attack power increased from 500 to 3000! “Next I summon Venom Serpent from my hand and activate its effect placing one more Counter on Perence Knight of Power bringing it down to just 100 attack points! Now Vennominaga attack Samurai Knight - Knight of Shining Armor!” “Shining Armor’s effect activates! When it is in a battle all Samurai Knight Monsters gain 500 Attack Points during the Battle Phase only!” “I guess they saved you there but next time you won’t be so lucky. After my monsters attack I end my turn with a face down.” [center]Black’s Life Points: 1000 Thomas’ Life Points: 1200[/center] ‘Alright, I’ve got a 3000 Attack point monster against me and a 1000 Attack point monster as well. I can still win this I just have to believe in this deck.’ Thomas calculated the situation. “I draw and Special Summon Harris Knight of Honor from my hand! Then I’ll Special Summon Samurai Knight’s Dragon and Samurai Knight Perence Knight of Power from my hand!” “Hold it right there, I activate the Trap Card Offerings to the Snake Diety! By destroying my Venom Serpent I can destroy 2 cards you control and I chose to destroy Harris the Knight of Honor and Perence Knight of Power!” Professor Black shouted and watched as both monsters vanished to the Graveyard. “What no! That means my Dragon is destroyed also!” Thomas watched in shock as his final plan was thwarted just like that. “I-I end my turn.” “Also because my Serpent was sent to the Graveyard Vennominaga gains another 500 Attack points now my Diety end this duel once and for all!” Thomas fell to his knees in shock of what just occurred. [center]Black’s Life Points: 1000 Thomas’ Life Points: 0 - Black wins![/center] “I-I lost?” Thomas studded as Black walked over and offered him his hand. “That was a great duel you should do well at the Academia.” Professor Black smiled and helped Thomas up to his feet. “The way you dueled was a lot like your brother when he started out here, fast Special Summons it’s quite reckless. “That’s just my style I prefer having monsters out on the field to avoid direct attacks.” Thomas replied laughing. “Well that’s a great game plan let’s hope it works in the near future.” Professor Black smiled and walked off the field and Thomas did the same thing. Thomas returned back to his seat and was greeted by Leo. “Wow man tough loss so what’s Professor Black like as a teacher?” Leo asked. “I don’t want to draw conclusions just yet but so far from what I’ve seen he’s a really nice teacher!” [size="2"][b][i]Meanwhile…[/i][/b][/size] [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wE5oB-2bPlY&feature=related]Theme[/url] “Professor Black may I have a word with you?” The Chancellor asked as Professor Black walked passed him. “Sure thing Chancellor Icy, what is it?” Black asked. “We just received reports of missing students, Ashley Caverns and Joe King. I would like you locate these students and bring them back to the academy.” Chancellor Icy replied and walked off. ‘Sure thing Chancellor Icy, but what might surprise you is that I already know clearly where they are.’ Professor Black thought to himself and laughed hysterically. [center][i][b]To be continued...[/b][/i][url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_WYx0jKc-M"]Ending Theme.[/url][/center][/spoiler] [spoiler=Arc 1 - Chapter 3 : The Darkest Night][center]Duel Academia Chapter 3: The Darkest Night[/center] Hours have passed since Thomas lost his first duel at the academy at the hands of Professor Black it was now night and everyone has gone to bed somewhere in the city though a duel is taking place. [center][url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wE5oB-2bPlY&feature=related"]Theme[/url][/center] “WAH!” Shouted one of the duelists after his life points had just hit 0 he feel to his knees and his opponent walked up to him. “You know the deal, hand over your rarest card or die!” The victor shouted as he grabbed a large butcher knife from his coat and raised it high above his opponents head. “K-k-Kay here take my card and please leave me in peace!” The fallen opponent stuttered and handed over his card to the duelist. “Oh I will leave you in peace that is of course RESTING IN PEACE MUHAHAHAHA!” The victor stabbed the loser directly in his face with his knife, making him scream in agonizing pain until he dropped down into a massive pile of his own blood. The victor then took not only the losers card from his hand but he also grabbed his Deck and Duel Disk. “Wow, you’re such a badass Joe I never knew you had it in you.” A voice sounded nearby. “Ashley? I thought you were busy with your own mission? Or did you just skip that to witness mine?” Joe said as he walked over to Ashley. “Oh no I completed that mission hours ago, I just thought to stop by and make sure you don’t screw yours up!” Ashley replied with a smirk on her face. “Well then I guess we had better head back to the dorm, unless of course we have another mission tonight?” Joe asked as Ashley looked at her phone. “Nope the Professor hasn’t got any other jobs for us tonight so we’re free to head back.” Ashley replied and started to head back to her dorm. Joe followed along behind and put his coat around her. “Here take this you look a little cold.” Joe said and they both walked off together. [i][b]Meanwhile…[/b][/i] Thomas was lying in his bed in his dorm just staring at the ceiling above him. He couldn’t sleep after that loss from today he was so sure he had the Professor. ‘Damn I had him then and there a few times damn that Battle Fader!’ Thomas thought to himself and turned over to his side. ‘Maybe I was just overconfident…’ Thomas whispered to himself and closed his eyes. “Thomas you still awake? Is it because you lost? Get over it man you’ve got to keep looking ahead stop living in the past!” Leo shouted as jumped down from the top bunk. “You’re only saying that because you won your duel.” Thomas yelled at Leo. “I may have won mine but that doesn’t mean you should sit there and sulk all night. Come on dude get some sleep we have lessons tomorrow!” Leo said and climbed back up to his bed. “Hey Leo, thanks.” Thomas said and fell asleep. “No problem bro.” Leo replied and fell asleep to. However Officer Roxas has been awake for several hours now at the scene of a murder. “Okay then would you please explain to me again what happened?” Roxas asked his investigator. “Well it appears that this man has been stabbed in the head with a sharp object.” The investigator replied as Roxas face palmed. “I can clearly see that but I want to know how it happened and who was responsible, has your team got any leads yet?” Roxas asked growing frustrated. “The murderer didn’t leave behind any clues for us sir.” The investigator replied. “Ugh, well then let’s wrap this up it looks like we can’t do anything else here.” Roxas replied and walked over to his police car. “Where are you heading off to Officer?” The investigator asked. “I’m heading off to Duel Academia to meet an old friend. I’m sure that if this murderer is attacking Duelists then the students at the Academia should be informed.” [i][b]Meanwhile…[/b][/i] “Hey Thomas wake up first lessons start in ten minutes!” Leo shouted as he nudged Thomas until he woke up. “But Mom that’s my mokey mokey give it back I’ve been a good boy!” Thomas shouted still with his eyes closed. ‘Heh maybe I can have a little fun with this…’ Leo thought and the shouted “You can get your Mokey Mokey back after school now WAKE UP!” with that Thomas sat up forward with a stunned look on his face, he then turned and saw Leo rolling on the floor laughing his ass off. “You know you’re a dick Leo.” Thomas said and walked over to the closet and dressed himself. “Well maybe that should teach you to go to sleep earlier anyways I’m heading off see you in class!” Leo said and walked out of the room. “I will get you back someday Leo, just you watch.” Thomas said to himself and headed out the door after he finished dressing himself. “Ahem excuse me could I please have the attention of the class for one second?” Professor Black asked trying to calm the noise of the class down so the lesson could start. Suddenly Rap music started playing and everyone was confused and looked at the front of the class. [url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-Hx6ifFTk8"]Music.[/url] “Hi kids do you like violence? Do you want me to stick nine inch nails to each of my eye lids?” Professor Black asked. “YEAH DO IT!” Someone in class shouted. “Wanna copy me and do exactly what I did? Kick ass and get EFFed up worse than my life is?” Professor Black asked. “What no!” The same student replied. “Then shut up and pay attention to my classes!” The music stopped and the room went all quiet. “That’s more like it okay in this lesson you will all be learning about Fusion monsters and how they can be used to win a duel.” Professor Black paused and then continued. “And you will each learn by dueling against your classmates on the field behind me, so when I call your names please walk up to the desk here and grab an Extra Deck full of fusion monsters and cards that will enable you to fuse.” Professor Black paused for that added suspense. “First we have Thomas King facing against Chris Fusion please grab your decks you’ll have five minutes to edit your decks then the duel will begin.” Professor Black ended and sat on his chair. Thomas sat up from his seat and headed down the nearby stairs where he met up with Chris who was also walking down the same stairs. “So you’re Thomas King huh? I’m Chris Fusion but my friends know me as Fusion Man or Fuse.” Chris said and offered a handshake which Thomas accepted. “Nice to meet you Chris yes the name is Thomas also known as Tom for short.” Thomas replied as he walked along the steps. “Nice to meet you as well just so you know I’m an ace when it comes to fusion monsters as my deck is already based on them. I’m not going to hold anything back in our duel just so you know.” Chris smirked as he grabbed a deck from the counter. “I wouldn’t want it any other way man.” Thomas replied with a smirk of his own as the two duelists walked on the field. “Okay your five minutes time starts now!” Professor Black announced. ‘Hm it seems in this deck there is twenty cards all together the main focus seems to be with Polymerization as it has three copies in it. Then there’s also this Miracle Fusion and a bunch of Elemental Hero monsters and fusions. Once the child is born both personality and humans souls strengths become the same they are then called ‘Numb souls’ and a human cannot communicate with their personality until one soul is weaker than the other. Once a soul is weaker than the other one of them can start communicating with the other. Depending on which one is weaker the other can communicate with the other first. For example Daisuke’s soul became weaker than mine and I was able to start communicating with him first therefore making other people think he is insane. Souls can become weak or strong by dueling. The students have grown accustomed to Professor Koko as their teacher and some are glad that the staff has changed. Some students are quite worried about Professor Black as he was supposed to return a few weeks ago and has yet to return to teaching. Professor Koko on the other hand is thrilled as not only does she receive more pay but she also doesn’t have to deal with Black as both of them have an irrational hatred of each other. ‘It’s such a beautiful morning, so peaceful without Black and his constant bitching about his tea. Oh but I do suppose it’s not as fun watching his reactions when he figures out that the sugar was replaced with salt. Or that the tea bags were filled with pepper instead.’ Koko chuckled as she took a sip of her cocoa. She looked at the clock and saw it had just turned 9:00am which is when morning lessons start. I Special Summon Speed Hero – Velocity Supporter from my hand in Defense Position (1000 DEF). Also while I control Speed Hero – Velocity Striker my Velocity Supporter’s level increases by 2 making it a Level 4 monster. Now I Release both monsters to Excess Summon Speed Hero – Master of Acceleration in Attack Position (3000 ATK). That will do for my turn Professor.” Matt said. If I control no monsters while you do, Blackwing – Sirocco the Dawn is able to be Advance Summoned without needing a Release for the Advance Summon due to its effect. I now use Sirocco the Dawn’s effect to Advance Summon its self without a Release. Since Advance Summons count as a Normal Summon Black Whirlwinds effect activates allowing me to add any Blackwing monster with less than 2000 Attack Points from my Deck to my hand. I’ll add Blackwing – Gale the Whirlwind (1300 ATK) from my Deck to my hand since I already control another Blackwing monster on my field I can Special Summon Gale directly from my hand. I Special Summon Gale and activate its effect. Once per turn, I can permanently halve the Attack of one of your monsters you control. I select Speed Hero – Master of Acceleration to lose half of its Attack Points.” Koko said which made not only Matt watch in fear but the rest of his class also as they would be punished should he lose the duel. “Come on Matt you’ve got to do something!” Thomas shouted knowing that the duel could be over shortly. “You’ve still got a chance in this one! Think of something!” Chris shouted encourage Matt. “You guys.” Matt said as he closed his eyes in thought. ‘I’ve only been here for a short amount of time and I could very well end up out of here in less time than that. Not only that but all monsters that have the equal to or less Attack Points as the removed monster are removed along with it!” Matt interrupted as Koko just smirked. “You’re a complete idiot because that just lets me attack you directly. Not only are they dangerous with monsters on the field but also monsters in the hand. However if I use the effect of my Equip Spell Card Speed Booster I can place two Overlaid Tokens on him. Overlaid Tokens are treated as Overlaid Monsters until the Standby Phase of my next turn. In addition if Master of Acceleration changes Battle Positions I can draw two more cards.’ Matt nodded and started his plan. “I activate the Equip Spell Card, Speed Booster! When this card is Equipped to an Excess Speed Hero monster it places two Overlaid Tokens on the monster. These tokens are treated as Overlaid Monsters until my next Standby Phase. Bora will attack but I activate the effects of two Kalut the Moon Shadows in my hand. By discarding both of them I can increase Bora’s Attack Points by twenty eight hundred! Koko stood in front of the class and read a list of student’s names thinking about who to choose next. ‘Wow such power I’m glad we weren’t dueling that time Thomas.’ a voice sounded from inside Thomas’ mind that only he could hear. ‘Yeah we were lucky too because we had no clue at what kind of deck Professor Koko ran. But now we know the strength of her deck and should be able to look out for their threats.’ Thomas replied. ‘She’s looking over towards us. Do you think she’ll select us to duel her next?’ The voice asked. ‘I don’t know she could select anyone of the students here.’ He replied as the silence broke when Koko announced her next opponent. “Thomas King I want you to duel me next. Now come on down otherwise you’ll all fail.” Koko shouted as Thomas reacted by grabbing his deck and his duel disk. ‘It seems you were right Clair. Well whatever let’s get this over with and I don’t plan on failing.’ Thomas thought to himself as Clair giggled. ‘Lucky guess I guess Tom. Well anyway let’s give this our all and show Professor Koko what we’ve got!’ Clair said and faded away into Thomas’ mind as he reached the duel field. “It seems that you’re ready to lose. Well come on then let’s get this started with.” Koko taunted as she activated her duel disk. “You’ve got it all wrong Professor, you see it is I who will be the victor. I won’t screw up not when my friends have faith in me. Not when they’re ass is on the line as well as mine.” Thomas shouted arrogantly which made Koko laugh. “So I see you’ve found some arrogance Thomas well no matter. You will still lose and this time you will not have a second chance like Matthew. You will be expelled along with Matthew.” Koko shouted as Thomas froze as he now knows the stakes are much higher than before. “Whatever let’s get this duel started and let our cards do the talking.” Thomas shouted as he activated his duel disk. ‘Let’s kick her ass Thomas together!’ Clair gave Thomas one last piece of encouragement before the duel kicks off. Boy meets exam, boy goes to exam, boy takes exam. Next thing we know, he'll have aced it and is on his way to the Academy du Jour. Spice it up. I dare you to fail your character and make him get in through some other way. Also, watch out for your sentence quality and structure - they should be varied up a bit. [b]Yes, I know his name’s Thomas.[/b] Thomas continued walking through the hallway until he reached the stairs. A name gets old in two uses – pronouns can be repeated often as necessary without being redundant. He saw his mother cooking some food. [b]Really? Really? You have successfully conveyed in five sentences – FIVE – what could be done in one. Observe: “Thomas put his deck in his pocket, ducked out of his room and down the stairs, and walked into the kitchen.” And the hell is “food” anyway? When you come down to the kitchen, do you think to yourself, “oh, mom has a food in the oven”? I don’t. Maybe Thomas has been sealed in his room the last fifteen years and has never been exposed to anything other than gruel by his abusive parents? [/b] “Good morning Thomas, would you like some breakfast before you head off to the Duel Academia?” Thomas’ mother asked him and placed some Toast on a plate. [b]Where do I start? First, this isn’t dialogue, it’s a mini-monologue. Second, this is formalized dialogue – Stephenie Meyer made that mistake a lot. Notice “would you like” and “head off”. Third, she puts some toast – ‘scuse me, Toast – on a plate without waiting for his answer. Fourth, toast is usually not cApItAlIzEd.[/b] “I suppose I could have a bite to eat before I head off sure.” Thomas pulled up a chair and sat on it while his mother placed a plate close to him. [b]You don’t need “sure” (which should have a comma to set it off) since you already have “I suppose”. And what else was he going to do with that chair? Kill his mother with it?[/b] “It seems like only yesterday when your brother Joe headed off to Duel Academia.” [b]“Who’s Joe?” “Oh, I never told you about Joe? We locked him in the bedroom next to yours.” “That explains why you both named him and identified his relationship to me.”[/b] Thomas looked to his side he always had a hatred of his brother much like most siblings do. [b]I’m part of the loser single population, but I’m pretty sure my brother doesn’t become the sole focus of my RAEG until after he, say, kills my entire clan in a single night. Why yes, I did make a [i]Naruto[/i] reference. [/b] The only thing they had in common was the fact that they dueled and looked similar. [b]Not all brothers look similar, you know. Does Thomas hate Joe because he’s different?[/b] Other than these facts they were two very different people Joe was popular, mostly because whenever he had friends over he would use Thomas to make himself look tougher. He would do this by pushing and sometimes hitting Thomas when mother wasn’t in the room. [b]Wait, so Joe is popular because he hits Thomas when he has friends over? You mean if I had a brother, I could just like have a friend over and then kill him, and I’d be set for life?[/b] Thomas became bitter because of this and hasn’t had too many friends, nor cares about having them. [b]He became bitter, which caused him to not have many friends and not care about them? Look, Joe doesn’t seem very nice at all, but I don’t envision it as causing Thomas to become a depressed shut-in. Maybe Thomas’ isolated life locked in his room has caused him to develop a fragile mental state.[/b] Thomas then grabbed the piece of toast and walked out the door his mother attempted to stop him but it was too late he was already out the door. [b]Thomas must walk fast. What happened, did he start running, his mom tried to stop him by diving in his way, but he ninja-dodged and escaped into the fresh air, no longer bound by his evil captors?[/b] Thomas opened the gates then shut it and walked along the path of the street he was in, it was a nice neighborhood good neighbors no vandalism, no graffiti it was all so perfect just the way Thomas liked it. [b]You were writing this sentence in such a way that you were about to veer left and suddenly Thomas was going to be all “soceity sux there all puppet ppl dancign 4 teh man”…and then he comments on how lovely and idyllic everything is. Well aren’t you boring, Thomas.[/b] Thomas started eating the piece of toast his mother had made for him and continued walking for several minutes until he reached the city. Thomas only lived a few streets away from the city so he could walk there in little time. [b]Wow! That was completely unnecessary because…[/b] 5 minutes later [url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbfN0Q_h364&feature=related"]City Theme[/url] [b]Yes, now we get another theme.[/b] Thomas had made it to the city however despite going to the city several times before he had no clue where the Duel Academia was. Fortunately he found a city map which had its location on it. [b]It’s probably the giant building with the four primary-colored domes that dominates the skyline. Probably he only dreamed of going to the city while he gazed longingly out of his bedroom at the skyscrapers towering in the distance. [/b] “Good the Academia isn’t too far away I should be able to make it there in less than 10 minutes.” [b]I would make a joke about him talking to himself, since that’s pretty ridiculous, but then I decided that was much too obvious. So I’ll take the opportunity to say that numbers should be spelled out, and you could always note in the description that it was only a few minutes away.[/b] Thomas said and began walking north. Shortly after he began walking he could see another boy who looked two years younger than Thomas who had a troubled look on his face. “Can I help you?” Thomas asked the boy who looked up at Thomas still looking troubled. “Oh yeah I need help do you know where Duel Academia is? I’m lost and don’t know where it is.” The younger boy asked Thomas. “Why yes I do, I’m heading there myself.” Thomas replied which made the young boy happy and relieved. [b]I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that Thomas becomes friends with this not!Syrus.[/b] “Could I walk there with you? I seriously don’t know where to go and I don’t want to be late.” The young boy pleaded with Thomas. [b]Because that’s totally the way people talk. This is actually below average dialogue, even though everything’s spelled right, which leads me to believe this person doesn’t actually know how to use words, they just hit F7 and prayed. [/b] “I guess so, what’s your name if you don’t mind me asking?” Thomas asked the boy. [b]Neither one of us wants me to rewrite every line of dialogue, even though I probably could. What’s with all these weird dangly bits on your sentences like “if you don’t mind me asking”? Usually you append something like that if you ask a personal question. These are kids going to the same school. Knowing the name would be useful.[/b] “The name’s Leonard Reynolds but please call me Leo!” Leo replied. [b]Did you just say “The name’s Leonard Reynolds”? From now on, I will picture not!Syrus (or rather, Leo) as George Bush. “The name’s Leonard Reynolds. Pleasure to make your acquaintance, ma’am. I am deeply grateful for your help and support in our War on Te’r.”[/b] “Okay Leo, my name is Thomas King nice to meet you.” Thomas said and offered a handshake to Leo, which Leo accepted. [b]Or you could just say, “they shook hands.”[/b] “We better head off now or we’ll be late.” Thomas said breaking the brief silence. I mean, Duel Academy looks pretty cool, but come on.[/b] “Well duh.” Leo paused. “Dumbass” “You call me that again and I’ll snap your frigid little neck you got that?” Thomas shouted but Leo slapped Thomas across the back of his head. [b]Frigid? Am I missing something.[/b] “Oh you did not just slap me you little bastard.” [b]It’s pretty clear that you’re only adding in swears because you think it makes the story better.[/b] Thomas shouted and Leo started running towards the Academia. “HEY GET BACK HERE!” Thomas shouted and ran off after him. “WHERE ARE YOU, YOU LITTLE SH*T!?” Thomas shouted as he entered the building which caused some shock on some of the teachers’ faces that were standing in the hallway. “Uh-ha, I didn’t mean you guys…” Thomas said with an embarrassed look on his face. Thomas walked passed by the teachers who each gave him a bad look not the best way to start the year. [b]“Walked passed by”? Forget dropping an s-bomb in front of the teachers and learn how to English first.[/b] Thomas eventually reached the sign in desk at the end of the hallway, next to the desk was a door which Thomas wondered what it was for. Thomas made his way over to the desk and saw a sign in sheet with a pen attached to it. “Please sign in.” the receptionist told Thomas. [b]Thomas had, of course, never seen a sign-in sheet before, and was confused as to exactly what all the names meant.[/b] Thomas looked at the sheet and saw Leo had only just signed in which gave him a wide evil looking smirk. ‘I’ll get you back soon Leo just you wait.’ Thomas thought while he signed his name on the paper. [b]Just so everyone’s clear, Thomas has instituted this hatred of Leo because Leo called him a dumbass. Not that I don’t already want Leo dead, particularly since he sanctioned the torture of dozens of innocent people. Wait, that’s not Leo…[/b] “Please go through the door and to your left you will find a door, go through that door and the Duel Field will be straight ahead. The chancellor is going to address all the students soon so it’s best you hurry along.” The receptionist told Thomas, who followed the orders given and opened the door. Thomas walked down the hallway and eventually came across a door which had the words ‘Duel Field’ on them. [b]You know, I think you mean on ‘it’, not on ‘them’. Also this is stupid pointless filler.[/b] “Well that’s quite helpful.” Thomas said and opened the door where he entered what looked like an arena full of students. Thomas continued walking and could see there were four duel fields which could hold four duels at one time. [b]Wait, let me check your math. Four duel fields…two people per duel…forty cards in a deck…five cards in the opening hand…carry the one…don’t forget the Rule of 3000…resolve the wave function…one duel per field…yup, that comes out to four duels at a time. [/b] Thomas looked on in awe but was interrupted by Leo who slapped him across the head again which only infuriated Thomas even more. [b]Leo, this is improper behavior for a president! Although I wouldn’t be surprised if Bush was a not!Syrus in school. [/b] “I am going to kill you!” Thomas shouted and attempted to choke Leo [b]wut[/b] but was interrupted by a nearby teacher. “You two enough of this nonsense” The teacher shouted at both students. “You’re lucky I’m not going to expel you right now!” “Sorry miss.” Leo said. “Yeah sorry miss” Thomas said after Leo. “Now the two of you should find seats the Chancellor will be addressing you very shortly!” The teacher said and walked off. Thomas and Leo quickly found seats and both of them sat down. Shortly the Chancellor walked onto a stage that was in the middle of all four duel fields. Thomas could see a big widescreen which showed the Chancellors face. He had a huge smiled and had dark blue hair. Thomas thought he looked odd because he had never seen anyone with Blue hair before and couldn’t help but have a little laugh. [b]Now, you might think it odd that an anime character had never seen anyone with blue hair, but remember that Thomas never left his room. He’d probably be surprised about blonde people, too.[/b] “Hello and welcome to a new year! I’m sure many of you are familiar with the schedule and some of you don’t know what it is. [b]“In case you didn’t know, some of you know what the schedule is, but some of you don’t.” What a useful sentence.[/b] Well for those of you who aren’t aware you will each be given timetables shortly but first I think it’s a great idea to kick off the New Year with dueling! [b]Which raises the question: why did he mention schedules in the first place?[/b] On the widescreen you will each see match-ups between yourselves and Duel Academia staff. [b]Of course. The duel against an evil teacher. Nothing like this happened in the first episode of GX.[/b] This is a great way to see how you all pair up against staff members. Now let’s get on with the first match up.” The Chancellor paused and looked up at the widescreen. To be continued [b]Seriously. That’s it. My advice is to…I’m trying to think of something terribly painful for you to inflict upon yourself, but nothing interesting comes to mind. So my serious advice is to lrn2english and maybe make a chapter about one chapter long. This is basically Yu-Gi-Oh! GX but “mature” and slightly worse. [center][url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wE5oB-2bPlY&feature=related"]Theme[/url][/center] “WAH!” Shouted one of the duelists after his life points had just hit 0 he feel to his knees and his opponent walked up to him. “You know the deal, hand over your rarest card or die!” The victor shouted as he grabbed a large butcher knife from his coat and raised it high above his opponents head. “K-k-Kay here take my card and please leave me in peace!” The fallen opponent stuttered and handed over his card to the duelist. “Oh I will leave you in peace that is of course RESTING IN PEACE MUHAHAHAHA!” The victor stabbed the loser directly in his face with his knife, making him scream in agonizing pain until he dropped down into a massive pile of his own blood. The victor then took not only the losers card from his hand but he also grabbed his Deck and Duel Disk. “Wow, you’re such a badass Joe I never knew you had it in you.” A voice sounded nearby. “Ashley? I thought you were busy with your own mission? Or did you just skip that to witness mine?” Joe said as he walked over to Ashley. “Oh no I completed that mission hours ago, I just thought to stop by and make sure you don’t screw yours up!” Ashley replied with a smirk on her face. “Well then I guess we had better head back to the dorm, unless of course we have another mission tonight?” Joe asked as Ashley looked at her phone. “Nope the Professor hasn’t got any other jobs for us tonight so we’re free to head back.” Ashley replied and started to head back to her dorm. Joe followed along behind and put his coat around her. “Here take this you look a little cold.” Joe said and they both walked off together. [i][b]Meanwhile…[/b][/i] Thomas was lying in his bed in his dorm just staring at the ceiling above him. He couldn’t sleep after that loss from today he was so sure he had the Professor. ‘Damn I had him then and there a few times damn that Battle Fader!’ Thomas thought to himself and turned over to his side. ‘Maybe I was just overconfident…’ Thomas whispered to himself and closed his eyes. “Thomas you still awake? Is it because you lost? Get over it man you’ve got to keep looking ahead stop living in the past!” Leo shouted as jumped down from the top bunk. “You’re only saying that because you won your duel.” Thomas yelled at Leo. “I may have won mine but that doesn’t mean you should sit there and sulk all night. Come on dude get some sleep we have lessons tomorrow!” Leo said and climbed back up to his bed. “Hey Leo, thanks.” Thomas said and fell asleep. “No problem bro.” Leo replied and fell asleep to. However Officer Roxas has been awake for several hours now at the scene of a murder. “Okay then would you please explain to me again what happened?” Roxas asked his investigator. “Well it appears that this man has been stabbed in the head with a sharp object.” The investigator replied as Roxas face palmed. “I can clearly see that but I want to know how it happened and who was responsible, has your team got any leads yet?” Roxas asked growing frustrated. “The murderer didn’t leave behind any clues for us sir.” The investigator replied. “Ugh, well then let’s wrap this up it looks like we can’t do anything else here.” Roxas replied and walked over to his police car. “Where are you heading off to Officer?” The investigator asked. “I’m heading off to Duel Academia to meet an old friend. I’m sure that if this murderer is attacking Duelists then the students at the Academia should be informed.” [i][b]Meanwhile…[/b][/i] “Hey Thomas wake up first lessons start in ten minutes!” Leo shouted as he nudged Thomas until he woke up. “But Mom that’s my mokey mokey give it back I’ve been a good boy!” Thomas shouted still with his eyes closed. ‘Heh maybe I can have a little fun with this…’ Leo thought and the shouted “You can get your Mokey Mokey back after school now WAKE UP!” with that Thomas sat up forward with a stunned look on his face, he then turned and saw Leo rolling on the floor laughing his ass off. “You know you’re a dick Leo.” Thomas said and walked over to the closet and dressed himself. “Well maybe that should teach you to go to sleep earlier anyways I’m heading off see you in class!” Leo said and walked out of the room. “I will get you back someday Leo, just you watch.” Thomas said to himself and headed out the door after he finished dressing himself. “Ahem excuse me could I please have the attention of the class for one second?” Professor Black asked trying to calm the noise of the class down so the lesson could start. Do you want me to stick nine inch nails to each of my eye lids?” Professor Black asked. “YEAH DO IT!” Someone in class shouted. “Wanna copy me and do exactly what I did? Kick ass and get EFFed up worse than my life is?” Professor Black asked. “What no!” The same student replied. “Then shut up and pay attention to my classes!” The music stopped and the room went all quiet. “That’s more like it okay in this lesson you will all be learning about Fusion monsters and how they can be used to win a duel.” Professor Black paused and then continued. “And you will each learn by dueling against your classmates on the field behind me, so when I call your names please walk up to the desk here and grab an Extra Deck full of fusion monsters and cards that will enable you to fuse.” Professor Black paused for that added suspense. “First we have Thomas King facing against Chris Fusion please grab your decks you’ll have five minutes to edit your decks then the duel will begin.” Professor Black ended and sat on his chair. Thomas sat up from his seat and headed down the nearby stairs where he met up with Chris who was also walking down the same stairs. “So you’re Thomas King huh? I’m Chris Fusion but my friends know me as Fusion Man or Fuse.” Chris said and offered a handshake which Thomas accepted. “Nice to meet you Chris yes the name is Thomas also known as Tom for short.” Thomas replied as he walked along the steps. “Nice to meet you as well just so you know I’m an ace when it comes to fusion monsters as my deck is already based on them. I’m not going to hold anything back in our duel just so you know.” Chris smirked as he grabbed a deck from the counter. “I wouldn’t want it any other way man.” Thomas replied with a smirk of his own as the two duelists walked on the field. “Okay your five minutes time starts now!” Professor Black announced. ‘Hm it seems in this deck there is twenty cards all together the main focus seems to be with Polymerization as it has three copies in it. Then there’s also this Miracle Fusion and a bunch of Elemental Hero monsters and fusions. There’s a King of the Swamp card that searches out Polymerization as well that could be useful, also there’s Elemental Hero Stratos in here so I can search out the E-Hero’s.’ Thomas thought as he shifted the cards with his deck. “Your Five minutes is up begin the duel!” Professor Black announced just as Thomas finished editing his deck. “Good luck Thomas you’ll need it.” Chris shouted confidently. “And Vice Versa Chris.” Thomas replied and both duelists smirked as they activated their Duel Disks. [url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8T1KySmgt4&feature=related"]Opening Theme[/url][/center] “Let’s start this off with a bang!” Chris shouted as he drew his sixth card. “First I activate the Spell Card Polymerization I fuse Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress #1 with Fairy Dragon from my hand to Fusion Summon Kaiser Dragon from my Extra Deck. Then I’ll play the Future Fusion Spell Card this allows me to send any fusion material monsters from my Deck to the Graveyard and Fusion Summon the fusion monster in two turns time. I’ll send three of my Blue Eyes White Dragon’s to my Graveyard and end my turn.” [center](Cards on Field: 2 - Kaiser Dragon & Future Fusion.) (Cards in hand: 3.)[/center] ‘Whoa he certainly isn’t joking around he managed to summon a 2300 ATK monster in one turn! But I think I can just out match him with this move.’ Thomas thought as he drew his sixth card. “You think that was a big move? You haven’t seen anything yet! I activate my Polymerization fusing the Elemental Hero Sparkman with the Elemental Hero Bladedge in my hand to Fusion Summon Elemental Hero Plasma Vice! Now Plasma Attack that Kaiser Dragon!” Thomas commanded his Hero to attack Kaiser Dragon and as both monsters clashed Kaiser Dragon was destroyed and 300 Points of Damage was dealt to Chris. “I’ll end my turn with a face-down.” Thomas shouted. [center](Cards on Field: 2 - Elemental Hero Plasma Vice & 1 Facedown.) (Cards in hand: 2.) Thomas’ Life Points: 4000. Chris’ Life Points: 3700.[/center] “Why didn’t Thomas use Plasma Vice’s effect to destroy Kaiser Dragon first and then attack?” Leo asked the person sitting next to him. “I dunno maybe he wants to give Chris a chance?” The student replied as if he couldn’t care less. “You should have taken more damage while you could Thomas do you want to fail this assignment or something?” Chris asked as he drew his card. “I just want to have a good duel and see if you really are the Master of Fusions.” Thomas replied. “Oh I’ll show you alright with this card! I activate the Spell Card Dragon’s Mirror by removing from my Graveyard I can Fusion Summon a monster if the materials are in my Graveyard so I remove from my Graveyard my Three Blue Eyes White Dragons, Guardian of the Fortress #1 and Fairy Dragon to Fusion Summon the all conquering Five Headed Dragon!” The field turned dark and a vortex appeared then a huge Five Headed Dragon appeared from out of the vortex and unleashed an ear shattering roar. “Now my Dragon attack and destroy his Plasma Vice!” Chris shouted as his dragon charged at the hero only to be stopped by some sort of a shield. “What? How come Plasma Vice wasn’t destroyed?” Chris asked as his Dragon returned from the battle. “I activated my Trap Card Negate Attack to block the Attack.” Thomas replied as he placed the Trap Card in his Graveyard. “Smart move there Thomas you know this is the best duel I’ve had in ages you’re really something man.” Chris added as he ended his turn. [center](Cards on Field: 2 – Five-Headed Dragon & Future Fusion.) (Cards in Hand: 3.)[/center] ‘Wow such an amazing display of Fusions this student Thomas King truly is amazing he’s playing with cards that he is unfamiliar with facing against a student who is very well at home with Fusions and is winning truly remarkable he’d make a great addition to my ‘Extra Lessons’ Mu-ha-ha-ha’. Black thought to himself as he surveyed the duel. “Right now it’s time I really get started!” Thomas shouted as he drew a card. “I activate Plasma Vice’s Effect to destroy your Dragon then I’ll attack you directly!” Thomas shouted as Plasma Vice electrocuted Five Headed Dragon with ease and the proceeded to attack Chris attacking him for 2600 points of damage. [center](Cards on Field: 1 Elemental Hero Plasma Vice.) (Cards in Hand: 3.) Thomas’ Life Points: 4000. Chris’ Life Points: 1100.[/center] “I end my turn show me what you’ve got Chris.” “Two turns have passed Thomas. Two turns have passed.” Chris smiled, confusing Thomas. “What do you mean?” Thomas questioned as Chris started laughing. “Two turns have passed since I activated Future Fusion Thomas now it’s time to bring out my ace card.” Thomas looked on as a white and blue vortex appeared on Chris’ field then another powerful Dragon appeared and unleashed a somewhat lower but still powerful roar compared to Five Headed Dragon. “What the hell is that?” Thomas asked showing a slight sight of fear. “This is one of my ace cards Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon!” Chris replied. “So this is what you wanted to bring out Five-Headed Dragon was just a mere distraction for me while you waited to bring this out.” Thomas calculated. “Actually I was planning to bring Blue Eyes Ultimate out while I had Five-Headed Dragon out but it seems that plan has only just miscalculated. But it’s all good because now Blue Eyes Ultimate can inflict revenge on his fallen brother. Blue Eyes Ultimate march forth and exact that revenge right now by attacking that Plasma Vice!” Thomas could only stand there and watch as Blue Eyes Ultimate destroyed Plasma Vice with ease. [center]Thomas’ Life Points: 2100. Chris’ Life Points: 1100. (Cards on Field: 2 - Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon & Future Fusion.) (Cards in Hand: 4.)[/center] “I end my turn.” “Okay then it’s my turn.” Thomas replied as he drew a card. ‘And it’s my last turn unless I manage to pull something off.’ Thomas thought as he read all his cards in his hand. “First I’ll Summon Elemental Hero Stratos then use his effect to add another Elemental Hero monster from my deck to my hand and I’ll choose Elemental Hero Ocean next I’ll activate Polymerization fusing Elemental Hero Woodsman with Elemental Hero Ocean to Fusion Summon Elemental Hero Terra Firma! Then I’ll activate the Spell Card Miracle Fusion by removing Sparkman and Bladedge from my Graveyard I can Fusion Summon Elemental Hero Plasma Vice again!” ‘Why would he Fusion Summon two Elemental Heroes that are both weaker than my Blue Eyes just what are you planning Thomas?’ Chris thought as he watched. “That’s not all next I’ll activate Terra Firma’s effect! By Releasing an Elemental Hero monster I control he gains their amount of attack points so I’ll Tribute both Plasma Vice and Stratos giving Terra Firma a total attack of 6900!” Everyone in the classroom looked on in awe as Terra Firma’s attack power increased by more than double its original attack. “It’s all over Thomas has this won!” Leo shouted excitedly and hugged the student sitting next to him. ‘God please kill me now.’ The student next to Leo thought as his face was pressed against Leo’s chest. “It’s all over now Terra Firma attack with your earthly might!” Thomas shouted as Terra Firma charged at Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon suddenly a large shining light appeared and destroyed Thomas’ Terra Firma and wiped out the rest of his life points. “I activate the effect of Honest! When a light monster is attacked I can discard Honest to have my light monster gain the same amount of attack equal to the attacking monster.” Chris said as he started packing up his cards. [center]Thomas’ Life Points: 0 Chris’ Life Points: 1100 - [b][i]Chris Wins![/i][/b][/center] Thomas fell to his knees at about the same time as everyone in the classroom stood up applauding both duelists on the duel. “That duel was incredible!” One student shouted. “Duel of the year written all over it well done you guys!” another student shouted. Chris was about to head off to his desk when he noticed Thomas was on his knees just staring down at the floor Chris decided it would be best to congratulate Thomas on giving him the best duel he’s had in years. When Chris made his way over to Thomas we could hear just a faint whisper coming from Thomas. ‘I can’t believe it the second time I had my opponent and lost...’ Thomas whispered only just loud enough for Chris to hear. “Hey man don’t get so down on yourself it was an awesome duel we had you shouldn’t treat it like it’s the end of the world.” Chris said and offered Thomas his hand to help him up which he accepted and was pulled up to his feet. “Whoa excellent duel you two you should very well be at the top of the class now. The both of you will receive A+’s!” Professor Black clapped his hands and then wrote down their marks next to their names on the list of names he had. “You see Thomas we both passed you should be happy not upset.” Chris told Thomas who was still feeling down but showed a smile for Chris. “Hey Chris thanks for cheering me up man I needed it and you’re right that was an awesome duel we had.” Thomas smiled and offered Chris a high-five, which he accepted. “Yeah man we should be best friends from now on what do you say?” Chris asked with a smile. “Yeah sure no problem you’ve got yourself one awesome friend.” Both students shared a laugh then walked back to their seats. Almost immediately after Thomas and Chris returned to their seats all students received a message from Chancellor Icy via School Radio. “Students I am informing you about something that is very serious we have just received word that a duelist has been murdered and had their decks and duel disk taken away from them after their murder. I’m telling you all this because if this murderer is targeting duelists then we are sure that they will have no problem targeting you students after hours so we are taking action from now on you must stay in your dorms during night hours. Please realize this is to ensure your safety thank you all for listening you may continue on with your lessons.” Upon hearing this all students did not continue with their lesson instead they all chattered and panicked about the crisis. ‘Yes just as I thought Chancellor you are too predictable you’re just making my plan work a whole lot easier I must thank you before you die which at this rate could be very soon indeed.’ Black thought to himself and had a creepy looking smile, until a student threw a book at him which only seemed to anger Black but the student found it hilarious. “YOU THINK THAT’S FUNNY? HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF I THREW A BOOK AT YOU IN DETENTION AFTER CLASS?” Black shouted at one student who continued laughing despite his threat. ‘I swear you are going to die much sooner than planned you little brat.’ Black thought to himself as he held his head in agony. Fusion X. Denver Posted December 1, 2010 Report Share Posted December 1, 2010 I like the story so far, I'll be following it. The one feature I really like is how you state the cards on the field and hand after each turn, it makes things easier for people like me who have a hard time keeping up when reading duels >.> One thing I think you should do is don't be afraid to use punctuation to break up sentences, and most importantly, I think you should describe your characters, as I don't know what any of them look like except for how I envision them. I have to admit though, it's somewhat...idk TOO generic. It's admittedly very close to being just as corny as the actual anime =/.
