.Starrk
Honestly I think he was one of the best horror authors ever. But he hasn't really put out a good book in like 15 years. I mean did you read TommyKnockers? What the holy grandma s*** was that? Discuss Stephen King.
Umbra
His most recent novel, I believe (Under the Dome) is really, really good. However, It is by far my favorite of his works, and he is my favorite author.
Smesh
Cell is probably one of my favorite books. Insomnia is a close second.

MarbleZone
I love his work, particularly Misery. But since we're discussing an author, I think it's more appropriate to do so In Literature. I'm moving it, but Opal, feel free to move it back if you prefer. Larxene
I f***ing love Stephen King's books. I've always been a fan of horror novels really, and his are just by far the best. In particular, I think my top 3 favorite books of his would be The Shining, The Stand, and It. I've read quite a few others though, and all the ones I've read have been good. His movies suck though, particularly the ones he actually works on himself. The only exception is Pet Sematary, which was actually a pretty good movie. I enjoyed it so much that i watched it over and over again. Then i was amazed to learn it was written by him! So naturally i downloaded and read that book. It was indeed epic. Not a scary book but still very awesome.

EliminateHRN
I'm currently on the third book of The Dark Tower series (The Waste Lands), and I love it. Something about it is just addicting. Roland is one bad-ass character in my opinion. I want to read more of his books. Maybe The Stand or It? The Dark Tower is his greatest work. Hell, he even says that! I've already read the entire series twice. I wouldn't recommend the Short story "The Little Sisters of Eluria", its just Misery with Roland and 5 Vampires. The Stand is much better then It, imo. Larxene
I finished Under the Dome a few weeks ago, and I thought it was great. I also got his latest collection of short stories for Christmas, but I haven't started reading it yet.
