dragonutes into an archetype

i saw the two original dragonutes in a video game and thought of making an archetype of them.

This card gains 300 ATK for each Defense Position monster on the field. During the End Phase of the turn this card was destroyed, you can Tribute 1 "Dragonute" monster you control to Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned this way you can change 1 monster on the field to face-up Defense Position. (Flip Effects are not activated at this time.)

When this card is Normal Summoned or Flip Summoned change it to Defense Position. When a "Dragonute" monster you control is attacked, you can discard this card from your hand to negate the attack. Then change the attacking monster to Defense Position and decrease its DEF by 1000.

During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. Each time a monster's Battle Position is changed, place 1 Dragonute Counter on this card. This card gains 200 ATK and DEF for each Dragonute Counter on it. You can remove all Dragonute Counters on this card to Special Summon 1 "Dragonute" monster from your hand or Deck whose level is equal to or lower than the number of Dragonute Counters removed.

All "Dragonute" monsters on the field gain 300 ATK and DEF. During each End Phase, the turn player can change the Battle Position of any monster they control.

Underwhelming. Archer Dragonute's -1 for direct attack is bad, and Shield Dragonute is just plain inferior to a lot of other walls. King Dragonute can have decent ATK and is SS-able by REDRUM, but its effects are situational and don't generate any advantage. And the cards as a whole really don't have much synergy with each other; they all involve Defense Position, but they do so in such different ways that they don't really form an effective combo.
