‘Look at your Mushroom Kingdom, now look at mine. Now back at your Mushroom Kingdom now back to mine. Sadly that Mushroom Kingdom is not mine. But if you stopped with all the Bowser invasions and switched to an original storyline your Mushroom Kingdom COULD be like mine. Look up, back down where are you? You are a minor character who has to think for themself for once. What’s that over there, back at me. I have, it is a Mushroom Kingdom RPG. Look again, our characters are usually useless characters. Anything is possible in my Mushroom Kingdom and not any old one. I am on a horse’.

*Shoves random person out of the way* Sorry, a Youtube Meme freak hi-jacked the opening paragraph…lord knows how he got in here. Blech, anywho, the Mushroom Kingdom. Pretty nice pad, subject to the random invasion every so often and possessing some of the most warped geography outside of a Pokemon game. The Mushroom Kingdom is ruled by Princess Peach, a hot babe with a kidnap fetish. Her kidnapper is the Koopa King, King Bowser, a turtle…dragon…thing. The important thing is that he satisfies Peach’s kidnap fetish. Now, there are the Mario Bros, whose main brother is Mario and his younger, weedy, cowardly, bedwetting, pansy-ass brother Lugi. Wait, Mario is his first and last name? So it’s Mario Mario and Luigi Mario? *awkward silence* Right…well, Mario and Luigi go on random adventures to save Peach except that one game where Peach rescued them, I think the creators were high. Anywho, during the night, a mysterious purple fog seeped into the Mushroom Kingdom FROM OUTER SPACE! *cue space noises* This fog drove anyone of meritable value insane, kinda sucks since now the Mushroom Kingdom is under attack, again. So, with Mario, Luigi, Peach and Bowser all completely AWOL, it’s up to the inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom to save the world and our crazy heroes. We are so completely boned.

1. All YCM RP and conduct rules apply.
2. This is an RPG, but also making fun of them. Feel free to point out the oddities of turn-based combat and the commands.
3. For padding during combat rounds, have your character shout out the commands and maybe have them manually put in the commands.
4. Bob-omb characters aren’t recommended unless for comedic purposes or if you like risks.
5. During times when I am explaining bits of area, check to see if I have coloured text, sometimes it may be black so find ways to figure out. Having your character check the spot with coloured text will yield a reward.
6. Before your app, write ‘Do you like (item from a Mario game here), yeah we like (same item as before)
7. All experience earned and items obtained are equally shared by the Party. Coins won are separate.
8. You WILL be expected to keep an eye on your own HP and SP in battle. Thus during your turn you will post your stats (HP through to SPD) always, with the apppropriate changes.[/spoiler]

‘They are the adoring subjects of Princess Peach and the main inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom. They are usually completely useless during an invasion. They do however, possess handy defensive mechanisms. Well, some aren’t COMPLETELY useless in battle but were added just to make it a four player game’.

‘A Bob-omb is a living bomb of Bowser’s army. They fight by lighting their fuses and detonating themselves after chasing their enemies, which is funny, because they can’t jump. There are two kinds, but inevitably they all blow up anyways. The black Bob-ombs, and the pink Bob-omb buddies kind-of, dislike each other. They answer to the Bob-omb King, whose moustache is very nice, but not as nice as Mario’s’.

[spoiler=Stats & Battle Mechanics]
All of our characters possess stats that affect our overall battle prowess.

[b]HP:[/b] HP (or Health Points) decide how much damage you can take before you fall down [s]dead[/s] unconscious. HP can be restored by Special Attacks, Special Abilities, Items or Gear effects in battle. Some Special Attacks utilize HP.

[b]SP:[/b] SP (or Skill Points) are used for our Special Attacks. Thus you can only use a Special Attack if and only if you have enough SP for it. SP can be restored by Items or Gear effects in battle.

[b]ATK:[/b] ATK (or Attack) is how much damage you can deal with a normal attack and is commonly used to decide how much damage a Special Attack does. The damage done is explained below.

[b]DEF:[/b] DEF (or Defence) is how much damage you can reduce from an enemy attack. This is only used for normal attacks but some Passive abilities may allow for DEF to be used with Special Attacks. The damage reduced is explained below.

[b]SPD:[/b] SPD (or Speed) is how fast you can act in battle. It can be used by some Special Abilities and Passive Abilities in order to dodge.

[b]AP:[/b] AP (or Ability Points), these are very special and important. AP you obtain go into AR, Ability Rank. Increasing this rank allows you to use your next Rank Ability, or it may power up an earlier one making it more battle effective.

[b]TP:[/b] TP (or Team Points) are similar to AP, except that it increases Team Rank. Increasing Team Rank provides many passive effects that benefit the entire Team. AP you gain can be converted to TP, so it creates a quandary as to power yourself or the Team.

::Battle::
Should our party come across an enemy, we may have the chance to avoid it, but sometimes battling is inevitable. The simplistic style in this RPG should be easy to focus on.

When in battle, the battle rotation is decided by Speed, or SPD. The highest SPD goes first and the lowest SPD goes last, simple.

When it is your turn, you get a few options…

[b]Attack:[/b] You attack an Enemy, dealing damage equal to your ATK - their DEF.

[b]Special:[/b] You use a Special Attack, which costs SP. The damage dealt is true damage, which means it is unaffected by their DEF. The damage done is usually a multiple of your own ATK.

[b]Team:[/b] Uses a Team Move, requiring each team mate of the selected move to use this move, this’ll be explained later.

[b]Defend:[/b] Enter a defensive stance, doubling your DEF until your next turn.

[b]Item:[/b] Use an item from the Team Bag.

[b]Flee:[/b] Leave the battle, becoming unable to rejoin battle and will not obtain any EXP or Coins.

::Team Moves::
On our journey, we may come across pieces of a Team Move we can all use or we can create one ourselves by combing special moves.

For a Team Move to work, all active participants must use the move during the same Battle round. Failing to do so will result in a wasted turn. Moves that require only two people are strong, but not as strong as moves that require the entire team.

::We win::
A battle is won when the enemies have all been defeated (or devoured). EXP and Coins are distributed whilst an Item may be found.

If someone levels up, they will gain bonuses to their Stats (each species gets a different amount. See ‘The Characters: The Good, the Bad & the Ugly’ for each Species’ bonuses. They also gain AP which they can put into their own AP cache of convert it into TP for us. You don‘t necessarily need to use this right away and it can be separated, a portion of AP to you and a portion to TP.

Also, when you level up you can select a Stat and a 6 sided dice will be rolled, adding the result to that stat.[/spoiler]

Using his age, he can actually be quite wise.
