Kuri
Yes I do them. Thanks to my legal Video Converter I can convert Youtube videos into mp3 files, mp4, avis, etc. I also can convert them into Apple compatible files. I do them for free cause you never know when you find a song worth downloading. Anyways inspire me. Open to questions. I upload them into 4shared. Guest Fading Black
There is no such thing as a legal converter. If you can buy it on iTunes, Amazon, or a store, or if it is a VGM or Score, it is illegal to download due to being part of a soundtrack. I suggest you stop now. The less you do, the less chance you have of getting caught. While very few get caught, the price for being caught is terrible.

CinnamonStar
I agree with Fading Black, and I'd like to know how exactly you convert these files. What kind of programm do you use, is it free or do you make profit with it?
FTW (For The Wynn)
Actually, I'm pretty sure Black is wrong on one point: Owning a video converter is actually legal. Just like owning Limewire is legal. However, in both cases, it is what you do with them that could be illegal. Using the video converter to make MP3s of other people's music and then uploading it for others is big illegal. Making a profit off it is high-felony illegal. Smesh
Do you have an iPod? Because this is simple on a jailbroken one.
LiAM
Downloading music without paying for it is always illegal.Unless you're distorting the tracks and/or editing them greatly, it's illegal. Converting them from YouTube is illegal too. As they're meant to be viewed and not downloaded.iTunes, eBay, Amazon, Stores; that's how you buy your music. Unless the artist gives it away for free, then you can't get it for free. It's like taking a picture from deviant art, flipping it 180 degrees and claiming it as your own. OnSlaUghT
So you illegally download music, and then tell the entire world?
CinnamonStar
Guys stop jumping to conclusions and pointing with the "OMG teh evilness" finger if you probably illegally download music yourself.I waited until Kuri explained me what this is about and then decided that I can't allow this on this site without getting striped of my moderating powers by an admin. The video converter was suppose to be payed, but I was given a link to the site gievaway event. So I was given a product code, technically is was suppose to be paid, but I received the product codes during an event. So you got a free video converter and I suppose you know that it's not entirely legal because of the reaons mentioned. But on the other side I know that we pirate stuff and buy replicas everyday, that people make threads asking where they can get this or that song and I guess if someone else just says "Limewire" rather than posting a link, you're doing it at your own risk. There's nothing we can do about it except giving people moral speeches about supporting the artists. Well you can use your converter for your own use for all I care but for yourself; we, the rest of the forum, see that we get the music on our own.I also wouldn't tolerate it if a person posts a free download for a movie...hope you catch my drift.Locked.
