The Amazing Avian
I recently started getting into comic books, mainly Jonah Hex, Deadpool and Marvel Civil War. Anyone else here read comic books?

moppmoppmopp
My fave is The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers by some Guy. The comic was released by Rip-Off Comics and is the most hilairious comic about drugaddicted hippies ever, and has the best saying in the world: "Dope gets you through times of no money better than money gets you through times of no dope." Lol.

Just Crouton
The Metal Gear Solid 1 & 2 comic adaptations, and the Ultimates. That's it for good ones. I stopped reading comics 2 years ago.
DARKPLANT RISING
I used to read the Bionicle comics. After a while I stopped. Note how comic and manga seem different, but are virtually the same.

Stopped reading normal comics a long time ago, altough I occasionally flick through the odd X-Men comics at my friends house.

As for the Watchmen, I think it is a comic, it's just rare in South Texas. All I can find is Marvel and DC with the occasional Dark Horse. I still find some stuff published by Image though. Tentacruel
I only read manga. For some reason, American comic books just don't appeal to me. Some of them are very well written though.

Sotos
I read anime and a lot of other comics, but nothing compares to the good ol' Mickey Mouse ones...
aaronalba
The X-Men wasn't the name Stan Lee wanted to go with for the title of the comic. Stan Lee wanted to call the comic, "The Mutants," but it was rejected by the publisher. So Stan based the comics name after their leader, Charles Xavier - The X-Men. Supreme Gamesmaster
Japan, as usual, is much better at America than these since it takes its animation and comics more seriously. Watchmen is great, don't get me wrong, but Darkness Induced Audience Apathy is huge in that story, and I really prefer more character-driven works. Sadamoto's Neon Genesis Evangelion, on the other hand... PURE GENIUS. It's as good as the original despite its variations (until Giant Alien Gendo!!!!!!!), and that's saying something. I actually prefer it, being a Shinji/Rei fan. Comics need to be taken more seriously in general, I think.
