Azra The Soulslayer Posted November 5, 2010 Report Share Posted November 5, 2010 Hello, for awhile now I've hated lightsworns with a passion...just to much light. So to counteract that problem, i developed an archetype that basically runs the same as lightsworns, only you CHOOSE what to send, its from your deck, hand, or field, and it has to be a darkoath card to avoid any dandylion BS (which is also a hated card of mine). Below is the story behind the Darkoath: For years, rival clans of the Sero Region: The Lightsworns and The Darkoaths, have battled over control of it. The Lightsworns want Sero to be a lively region of prosperity and happiness, the Darkoath want it to be a cesspool of dark abominations slaughtering the innocent and giving power to only the strongest of hierarchs. Their powers are so mighty, however, that they literally had to usurp the energy needed to fuel their conquest from the land itself. In the process, the soil dried up, trees died, wildlife fled, and people died. The Darkoath thrived in this condition whilst the Lightsworn stuttered at every move. Eventually, the Darkoath came to near victory, but then the Lightsworn summoned their trump card...the Judgment Dragon. The heavens sang in holy rejoice as this being descended from the sky, casting a bright glow over the land that brought life back to all. It delivered its judgment upon the Darkoath, eliminating them all and banishing their souls to the Dark Realm. However, here they have been resting for centuries, slowly gaining back their power, and now they have reformed, ready to destroy the Lightsworn and take back the Realm of Light. There will be more released later, but this this is the first of the batch. All of the Monster/Spell/Trap cards, with the exception of Dark Judgment Dragon and Dishonest, have Darkoath in their card name so that they can be sent to the Graveyard by the other Darkoaths effects. So, without further ado...i introduce...The Darkoaths! BTW they are all DARK so I'm not gunna bother putting attribute in. Monsters: Arion, Darkoath Warrior **** Warrior/Effect When a "Darkoath" card(s) is sent from your Deck, hand, or your side of the field to the Graveyard, except "Arion, Darkoath Warrior," you can draw 1 card for each card sent. During each of your End Phases, discard 1 card or destroy 1 card you control. ATK/ 1800 DEF/1600 Azra, Darkoath Soulslayer (A joke card...kinda) ***** Warrior/Effect If this card is Tribute Summoned by Tributing a "Darkoath" monster, you can send up to 3 "Darkoath" cards with different names from your Deck, Hand, or your side of the field to the Graveyard to destroy cards on the field equal to the number of cards sent. ATK/ 2400 DEF/1900 Dante, Darkoath Swordsman **** Warrior/Effect If this card battles an opponents monster, this card gains ATK equal to the difference in their levels X 100. If this card destroys an opponents monster by battle, but this card did not attack, remove the opponents monster from play. During each of your End Phases, send 2 "Darkoath" cards with different names from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard. ATK/1800 DEF/1750 Dea, Darkoath Usurper **** Spellcaster/Effect When a "Darkoath" card(s) is sent from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard, gain 100 Life Points for each card sent, and inflict 100 damage to your opponent for each card sent. During each of your End Phases, send 2 "Darkoath" cards with different names from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard. ATK/1300 DEF/1000 Etherius, Darkoath Reviver **** Spellcaster/Effect Once per turn, you can send 1 "Darkoath" card from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Darkoath" monster from your Graveyard. During each of your End Phases, send 3 "Darkoath" cards from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard. ATK/1400 DEF/1000 Fang, Darkoath Behemoth **** Beast/Effect If this card is Normal Summoned, it cannot declare an attack. If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard by the effect of a "Darkoath" card you control, Special Summon it during your next Standby Phase. ATK/2100 DEF/1700 Feral, Darkoath Shadow Walker **** Warrior/Effect If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, remove it from play before Damage Calculation. During your opponents next Standby Phase, return the monster to their side of the field. During each of your End Phases, send 2 "Darkoath" cards with different names from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard. ATK/1700 DEF/1500 Gant, Darkoath Shielder **** Warrior/Effect "Darkoath" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle. If you control a face-up "Dante, Darkoath Swordsman," your opponent cannot select another "Darkoath" monster as an attack target. During each of your End Phases, send 2 "Darkoath" cards with different names from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard. ATK/200 DEF/2500 Kelin, Darkoath Collector *** Spellcaster/Effect This card gains ATK equal to the number of "Darkoath" cards in your Graveyard X 100. If this card is sent to the Graveyard, select up to 5 "Darkoath" cards with different names in your Graveyard and return them to the Deck. The Deck is then shuffled. During each of your End Phases, send 2 "Darkoath" cards with different names from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard. ATK/0 DEF/1500 Nexon, Darkoath Demon ****** Fiend/Effect If you control 2 or more face-up "Darkoath" monsters, you can Tribute 1 "Darkoath" monster and send 1 "Darkoath" card with a different name from your Hand or Deck to the Graveyard to Special Summon this card from your Hand or Graveyard. Once per turn, you can send 2 "Darkoath" cards with different names from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to add 2 "Darkoath" cards from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. ATK/2600 DEF/2100 Rai, Darkoath Bomber **** Warrior/Effect If this card is sent to the Graveyard for the effect of a "Darkoath" card, select 1 card you control and 1 card your opponent controls. Send the selected cards to the Graveyard. If this face-up card you control is destroyed, send 1 "Darkoath" card, except "Rai, Darkoath Bomber," from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard. ATK/1900 DEF/1700 Alezo, Darkoath Returner **** Spellcaster/Effect Once per turn, you can send 2 "Darkoath" cards with different names from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard to select 4 "Darkoath" cards with different names in your Graveyard and return them to your Deck. The Deck is then shuffled. During each of your End Phases, send 3 "Darkoath" cards with different names from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard. ATK/1500 DEF/1700 Svir, Darkoath Dragon ****** Dragon/Effect This card cannot be Special Summoned. If this card is sent to the Graveyard by the effect of a "Darkoath" card, return it to your hand during your next Standby Phase. This card gains ATK equal to the number of face-up "Darkoath" monsters you control X 200. Once per turn, if a "Darkoath" monster you control would be destroyed, you can send 2 "Darkoath" cards with different names from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard instead. ATK/2400 DEF/1800 Verin, Darkoath Reflector **** Spellcaster/Effect "Darkoath" cards you control cannot be targeted by effects. During each of your End Phases, send 2 "Darkoath" cards with different names from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard. ATK/1650 DEF/1400 Zeph, Darkoath Sorcerer **** Spellcaster/Effect Once per turn, you can send 1 "Darkoath" card, except "Zeph, Darkoath Sorcerer," from your Deck to the Graveyard to destroy 1 Spell or Trap card on the field. During each of your End Phases, discard 2 cards or destroy 1 card you control. ATK/1700 DEF/1400 Zero, Darkoath Assassin *** Warrior/Effect FLIP: Destroy 1 card on the field. If the destroyed card isn't a "Darkoath" card, send 3 "Darkoath" cards with different names from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard. ATK/700 DEF/300 Dishonest **** Fairy/Effect During your Main Phase, you can return this card from your field to its owners Hand. During either players Damage Step, when a face-up DARK monster you control battles, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to have the ATK of the opponents monster its battling become 0, until the End Phase. ATK/1800 DEF/1100 Dark Judgment Dragon ******** Dragon/Effect This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by having 10 or more "Darkoath" cards with different names in your Graveyard. You can pay 1000 Life Points and remove 3 "Darkoath" cards with different names in your Graveyard from play to send all other cards on the field to the Graveyard. During each of your End Phases, remove 3 "Darkoath" cards with different names in your Graveyard from play or destroy this card. ATK/3000 DEF/2800 Spells: Darkoath Charge Normal Send 3 "Darkoath" cards with different names from your Hand, Deck, or on your side of the field to the Graveyard. Add 1 "Darkoath" card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. Darkoath Fortress Field Each time a card(s) is sent from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard by the effect of a "Darkoath" card, place 1 Darkoath Counter on this card. All "Darkoath" monsters you control gain 100 ATK for each Darkoath Counter on this card. If this card would be destroyed, you can remove 2 Darkoath Counters instead. Darkoath Lunar Charm Normal Send 1 "Darkoath" card in your Hand to the Graveyard. Draw 2 cards, then send 2 "Darkoath" cards with different names from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard. Darkoath Rapier Equip Equip only to a "Darkoath" monster. It gains 800 ATK. If this card is sent from your Hand or Deck to the Graveyard, you can equip it to an appropriate monster you control. Traps: Darkoath Eradication Counter Tribute 1 "Darkoath" monster. Negate the Summon of a monster and destroy it. Darkoath Fortress Wall Continuous When a face-up "Darkoath" monster you control is selected as an attack target, you can send 2 "Darkoath" cards with different names from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard to negate the attack. Darkoath Spire Continuous Each time a card(s) is sent from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard by the effect of a "Darkoath" monster you control, remove from play 1 card in your opponents Graveyard. Darkoath Temptation Normal Discard all cards in your hand, then select a number of "Darkoath" cards in your Graveyard, equal to the number of cards discarded, and add them to your hand. Darkoath's Mirage Continuous Special Summon 1 "Darkoath" monster from your Graveyard. During each of your End Phases, send 2 "Darkoath" cards with different names from your Hand, Deck, or your side of the field to the Graveyard. If the monster is destroyed, destroy this card. I was hoping this could make an archetype with the fun playability of Lightsworns without the broken-ness and total annoyance of them. Plus, i was looking for an excuse to release Dishonest after sitting in my card pool for some time, and after seeing Honest as a key in Lightsworns i decided to merge the two as counterparts.
