Esplin 9466 Primary
"For somebody who can read minds you ask a lot of questions." Arashi tied the rubber strap around Xena's arm. "The tears created from a full phoenix are worth over a hundred thousand dollars per drop. But for a price like that they can bring people from the brink of death to good as new in a matter of moments." He slowly put the needle in Xena's arm to draw blood. "To people like us, these tears are priceless. The humans would never willingly use them to help other anthromorphs, and yet they are sometimes the only thing that CAN heal us. I would rather be poor and be able to save my people that rich any day." After the syringe was filled with blood Arashi removed the needle and replaced it with the syringe filled with tears. "There is one more thing. If I'm going to make an anti-virus then I am going to have to charge you." He pushed his thumb in to the back to the syringe and the tears flowed in to Xena blood veins. In a matter of seconds the tears would have almost completely removed the poison, and the anti-venom Xena had taken earlier, as well as healed up the wounds from the dagger. "I don't want money. I use my doctor skills to protect people, not kill." He removed the needle from Xena's arm and looked in to Xena's eyes. He was confident that she already knew he was asking her not to kill anybody. "I don't want a reply." He stored away the blood, and everything ells, in the briefcase and closed it. "I'll have the anti-venom ready in about a week. Sorry I can't get it faster, these things take time."
CrystalCyae
Zasuka stopped as she reached the final building in the large skyline. "Damn." She muttered. "I've lost the raven anthromorph. She looked injured to me. Not that I can be completely sure about that. I'm not a very good mind reader, even in fire fox form." She sighed. "But if she was indeed wounded, I wonder how it happened. As a raven anthromorph, she could easily fly away from danger, couldn't she? Not that I'm one to judge." She remembered angrily the incident she'd suffered in her first time of flight. That stupid arrow, and the dumb agents..... That was all their fault. They were the reason she was forced to go under another name, as she was no longer aware of her true identity. She shook her furry head in supressed anger. She tried to distract herself by thinking about the battle she had seen. Evil anthromorphs, fighting..... and out in the open, at that. It was ridiculous. Auralady
Xena winced and tensed her muscles from the blood drawing process. When Arashi was done she looked at the injection site and gingerly poked at it for a mintue. Then she looked back at Arashi, "Hm. You don't have to worry about a thing..the only one I'll be after is Silence. I'm not big on the whole killing thing that other Anthromorphs seem to have gotten into. Despite what you think and see in front of you I am one of the few that has been trying to intergrate back into normal society. I won't even go near humans on a normal basis unless I am in my raven form."
Esplin 9466 Primary
When Arashi had finished packing up he could already see his tears healing Xena's body wounds and, although he could not see it, he knew that it was already destroying the poison in her body. "It must be nice to no be scared to show who you are." Arashi looked at his hands. "The only people who know I am an anthromorph are a few of the doctors at the hospital I sell my tears at. I'm to ashamed of what I am to let anybody ells know. I haven't even told my family." His face then turned from a depressed look and a smile stretched across his face. "On the up side, being a doctor pays a lot." He help out his hand. "Phoenix tears plus an anti-venom, that will be five million dollars." He tried to keep a straight face long as he could, but he burst in to a laugh. "Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Don't worry, my services are free of charge." He something down seven numbers on a piece of paper and gave it to Xena. "Call me in a week."
Auralady
Xena looked like she was about to reply and took the paper. She looked at the number and memorized it in case of future emergencies. She got up and tacked the paper onto a cork buliten board just a little above eye level. Then Xena concentrated her powers on the shield surrounding the apartment complex. She looked at Arashi still on the couch, "You an walk out the front door now. I got rid of the sheild so you would be able to pass through it easily." Then she felt the presence of anouther mind, "Guess I was a little more obvious then I had thought." She put on her cloak and started to walk towards the door.
Esplin 9466 Primary
"I hate to say this, but I'm not a big fan of violence. So I won't be able to help if this new person is looking for a fight." Arashi headed out the door behind Xena. "I'll see you in a week." Arashi waved as he headed down the sidewalk. First he had to head to his lab to get the poison out of the blood he drew and then prepare it for the anti-virus. After that he would head to a secluded place for making the antidote. While most doctors would go to the nearest far to use a cow or some other large animal, Arashi had something badder and closer at hand, himself. While it wasn't one of the abilities of the phoenix, because of it's large size it had a stronger immune system than most larger animals.
Auralady
Xena watched Arashi go and stuck the muber in her pocket. Then she looked around probing with her mind for the presense she had felt. She knew whoever it was was stil around because she could feel their mind. Their thought's were swirling around before Xena's eyes like a thick swirling mist. Finally she was able to narrow the location down to the top of a near by building roof. She transformed and flew to the top of the building and landed on the railing. She transformed and was now sitting on the edge, "Hi there.", she smiled at the girl, "And for the record...I'm not evil."
Esplin 9466 Primary
After leaving Xena Arashi headed down the sidewalk for about 20 minutes until he arrived at another apartment complex. It was not fancy but it was, unlike the place he had just left, occupied. Arashi went to the second floor and unlocked one of the doors and walked inside. He removed a small check out of his trench coat and put it in to a box, filled with cash, on his table. Normally he would have cashed the check already, but he was too concerned with the poison to go to the bank at the moment. In a section of his apartment he had a small lab set up for doing his work. He sat down at his table and started working on the blood he had taken. After about an hour Arashi had finally separated the blood from the poison, at first he did not think there was enough poison, but after examining it he found that the strength meant that he had plenty. He separated the venom in to ten separate test tubes and placed a small amount of water in to each tube, except one. The amount of water started at nine drops and each tube had less water than the previous. After this me placed each of the vials on to a machine so that it would dilute the poisons with the water. This was the first step of creating anti-venom.
CrystalCyae
Zasuka was surprised when the raven anthromorph suddenly appeared nearby, in human form. "For the record, I didn't think you were." She responded. "I only came here because I thought you were injured. After all, anthromorhs should look out for each other, right? Except the evil ones, of course." With a quick thought, she transformed back to human. "Besides, it's in my nature to help others, injured or otherwise." She shrugged.
