Example: [img]http://www.freewebs.com/shojo-bat/Yugi-Moto2.jpg[/img] You would use Photoshop/GIMP to cut out the background (trees, mountain, sky) so that only Yugi is left. Renders are saved as .PNG files, so that when you re-open or use it, it has a transparent background, so you don't have to cut it out again. It can also be in the form of a 3D computer made image, I just think it's another word for c4d.
