DARKPLANT RISING
Yu-Gi-Oh! DM DM was, of the three long anime based on YGO, overall the best. To be exact, the manga was better since the anime one had bad moments like the Oreichalcos thingy majigy (too lazy to get out spelling) that were complete fillers, but. I also like how its final ark was sort of like Higurashi's "Kai", solving out all the origins and left-over plot devices. Had a decent plot. Yu-Gi-Oh! GX When I watched the first several monthes, I simply knew it: this is a show based on fillers. It has basically no plot until Season 3 (when Yubel comes out). While it's trying to be comical, it just ends up making Season 3 (which was, in my opinion, the only good part of this show) look awkward in such a bad-humor-based story. Seasons 1 and 2 were mostly fillers. While people who just like dueling might enjoy it, for someone like me who thinks plot is more important, it seems failish. The philosophy on dueling and winning was just plain rubbish, too. Who cares? It's plain obvious that if you're not having fun you'd quit it. Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Card games on motorcycles. Yes, you're right. While Season 1 was so fail I stopped watching after some, Season 2 (the Dark Signers) was possibly the awesomest thing ever in the history of yugioh anime if you just view at plot. Divine comes in mostly. Thousands of people get sacrificed to actually existing ancient monuments to summon unstoppable (at least, in the Anime) gods with amazing names and forms. Some gore is also included, which is good. Tradegies of love? Yes, I love it. The final part based on Godwin and Rudgar was, even with the unneeded muscle, still good as an overall storyline. People who were fans of GX might hate how dueling is rarely a matter, but still. ...Then...Season 3. What is this? Can it be that the GX fans took over again? It seemed like the directors of Season 2 were kicked out and replaced with that of GX! Since then I finally stopped watching completely. Since it awoke me to Evangelion and Higurashi I'd say it wasn't a negative effect, but it still pains my heart to think the Dark Signers ark was messed up by its new brother. It's just a matter of which you like more, duels or a valid storyline. I value plot more, so it has to be either DM or 5D's. But since 5D's Seasons 1 and 3 were horrible, it's overall DM for me. You did the mistake of including it in the poll. Haha. Also: Is this the right place?
Ghoulish
for me: 1) Yu-Gi-Oh, just overall a great series 2) GX, enjoying to watch the Fusion nature of the E-Heroes topped off with a school like environment was a refreshing change. 3) 5d's, only just started watching not bad but atm can't compare. iCherry
5D's. Yugioh DM was obviously the better out of the three. But it's losing it's charms and now is basically being overexaggerated by those who don't want to leave it behind(the people I know exaggerate). 5D's is easily coming up to it's level, especially with the most recent episodes. Honestly, if Konami would make some smarter moves with it, it could easily become the best of the trio. GX is just stupid.

Raelen
Personally, I never saw the original series that often. I used to watch GX pretty much every Wednesday. (Back then, I wasn't totally freaking out over school) When 5D came out, I just never felt like watching it. GX would have to be my favorite. Zextra
I actually the plot for GX - Season 4 had the biggest threat of all Yugioh series.
Yang Xiao-Long
Yu-Gi-Oh5D's. For one, it has card games on motorcycles, AND it's also Nexus. That, and you have the 5 D's: Duelists, Dragons, Duels, (duel)Disks, and Dimensions. Doesn't get much better than that if you ask me.
Renzoku Kira-
5ds wins it for me.....i never got up early to watch GX or the original, but I do for 5ds.
The Holly and the Ivy
The original. It has great villains, Kaiba, Noah, Mysterious powers throughout, great characters, and season 4, though not much liked by anyone, had some great cards. Oh yes, it also had the Egyptian god cards and a Yugi vs Yami duel at the end.
DARKPLANT RISING
I actually the plot for GX - Season 4 had the biggest threat of all Yugioh series.

1. Black waves consume every character, and the deathly "mental darkness" theme is strikingly simular to Episodes 25 and 26 of Evangelion 2. Some minor Gary Sue antagonist releases his true form and decides to take over the world for no reason. At least he looks badass enough. 3. He summons yet another monster with 4000 ATK and suckish summoning conditions 4. Judai summons the ever-so-powerful Neos for some "This card cannot be summoned" monster and pwns the enemy 5. Card games save the world for like, the 20th time ever 6. And so everyone lives happily ever after because apparently the antagonist was a nice guy and decided to bring back everyone he killed when he was destroyed
Ovedrive
DM was really good. It was very interesting, but not so good as 5D's, imo. GX is...eh. I like season 4 Judai as a character and I think that Darkness is the best antagonist of GX. And that's it. Nothing else...it's sorta...meh. 5D's is epic. 5D's. RedRuler
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's of course!!! The 2 seasons are great, as they have excellent plots IMO. The original Yu-Gi-Oh! also has a great plot but the duels were just long and boring. Yu-Gi-Oh! GX was instead almost all duel and almost nothing of plot.
