[spoiler=Spoiler]As Snake made his way through the sewers of Castlevania, he remembered Rydia’s words. She told him of the task that the Sage of the Six Path had told Cecil of.

“A great evil. Sounds a little farfetched to me,” Snake said as he came upon an intersection. Suddenly, he heard a voice behind him.

“Be careful of the water. It’s poisonous,” he heard. He turned around to see a young woman wearing a short green dress and black leggings.

“And who are you?” Snake asked, surprised that he could not hear this girl approaching.

“My name is Carrie Fernandez. I’ve come here to destroy this castle. I followed this strange yellow flying snake creature into the sewers and-"

“Wait, a flying snake? Did it have a hole in it?” Snake asked with a sense of alarm in his voice.

“Only a small one. It looked injured and I was trying to catch up to it in order to treat its wounds, but it ran away the moment it saw me,” she said. Snake automatically knew that Carrie was referring to the Dunsparce that he and Rydia had encountered only moments ago. He wondered how it could have survived such a large wound.

“I see. Thanks for the tips. See you later,” Snake said as he waved toward Carrie before heading down the corridor. Carrie nodded and went in the opposite direction.

 

Snake continued to traverse through the sewers, making sure not to lose his footing on the slippery ledges. “Snake, is that you?” a familiar voice called out to Snake. Snake stopped and turned around to see Leon Scott Kennedy behind him.

“Ah, Leon. They got you here too?” Snake said to Leon as they both put their guns away.

“Yeah. Any luck finding the Dunsparce?” Leon asked

“Some girl named Carrie said that she saw it in these sewers," Snake replied, "but she couldn’t keep up. You got something?”

Leon had a grim look on his face, which did not settle well with Snake. “That Dunsparce has a nasty little surprise to it. It appears that it is a carrier of the T-Virus.”

“Wait, you mean the T-Virus that caused the Raccoon City outbreak?”

Leon nodded before continuing. “That’s right. If that thing falls into the wrong hands, it could spell disaster for us all. Let’s hope nothing happens to it."

Snake shook his head. “Then we need to find it now. That thing has already been severely injured and there’s no telling if it’s been leaking the virus or not,” Snake hastily replied before running off. Leon did not have time to reply; he quickly followed Snake.

 

Back in the courtyard, Kyosuke Kiryu had been knocked unconscious and was dripping wet. Squirtle breathed heavily as Kiryu lay on the ground.

“Squirt?” it said as it approached slowly. Suddenly, it stopped. There was something amiss. Squirtle quickly turned to see a cardboard box sitting next to the fountain. “Squirtle Squirtle?” it said as it looked at the box. It knew that the box was not there before. It quickly spit out a burst of water at the box. The box quickly fell apart – revealing Snake inside. Squirtle jumped back quickly and prepared to fight.

“Great, there goes my cover,” Snake said as he got up and prepared to face the Squirtle.
