Darth Duelist
WTH is the Spirit bomb show me a vid or something. Naruto actually looks cool. And he smiles, and I always see DBZ guys glaring at each other meanly. I have no idea what Spirit Bomb is, but the Rasengan is kool, especially the one Naruto develops all by himself.. Here is teh video from Youtube: If the video doesn't appear above, use the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdA0ON_vegQ EDIT: Here's another vid, this is Rasenshuriken, the jutsu Naruto develops himself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebNrShNr5S4
Grunt Issun
I assume Blue Eyes + Wynn is trying to win at any cost regardless of whether it make sense or not just because he/she saw DBZ and thought it was better than Naruto.
I admit, that was a pretty lame argument, but I still think that DBZ has better attacks, and nothing, no reasoning, no video, no 5 paragraph essay on it will change my oppinion, because I am just that stubborn, and that is one of my best qualities anyways, what about physical attacks? they have some creativity... but I guess Naruto has those too huh? Oh well, DBZs are cooler @darth To be exact Goku calls upon all the life on the planet, and the surronding ones in nameks case, or the whole universe in GTs case He raises his hands to the sky, and absorbs all the energy the planet, and its people, can spare, he then concentrates that energy into a massive ball, and hurls it at his opponent, heres a clip of him firing it (sorry its in jap, starts at 1:30) note that this spirit bomb had been charged for a while, which is why its so frieking huge
DBZ was the extremely overrated mediocre show of its era; now it's Naruto. Anyways, DBZ has better characters and Naruto has better attacks. Neither of the shows have plots worth comparing. Tentacruel
It would appear that some people think that the characters from one series being able to defeat the characters from another series in a fight makes the former series better. No. Plot Characters Presentation Art Style These are just a few of the things that actually matter in an anime. With the above logic, Light Yagami can kill any character from Dragonball Z or Naruto so Death Note must be the best anime series EVAR.

BLUR
All Dbz attacks are the same except with different colors. Also, Naruto has developed their characters much more than DBZ, which only concentrated on Vegeta and Goku. But I still think DBZ's characters were funner to see in action. My favorite anime character of all time is in DBZ but not one Naruto character makes my top ten. All in all DBZ is way more overrated than Naruto. Naruto has put much more effort in their plot than DBZ who just kept throwing in bad guys for the characters to fight. Naruto is the better series, but DBZ will always win me over just because of its sheer epicness that Naruto only rarely shows
Grunt Issun
I just cant stand that every episode has to have a flashback in naruto (Ok saying every epsiode may be over exagerating, but still)
~/Coolio Prime\~
It's called filler. Bad shows are riddled with it, and Naruto tends to use flashbacks as a main source of it. And kind of late, but:
That thing Vegeta did on Planet Namek when he shaped his hand like a gun, said "Bang" and shot someone.
If you're talking about when he blew up Cui, Dirty Fireworks. If you're referencing that Namek guy, it's just an energy beam.

But again, thats one of the things that makes Naruto great. your always left out of the history of the characters until a battle that leads to someone dieing. With DBZ, they just gave us their characters with all their bio before the battle even took place, but I guess that lead them to concentrate more on the fight itself. So really, both animes have big faults that should be fixed. With Naruto they need to concentrate just a little less on the character development and more on the actual fighting. And with DBZ they just need to develop their characters a little more spo the show won't just be random villians trying to destroy Earth
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Freeza? A planet? No. My above post was based on a real report for a book a particular scientist of Japan made for fun. It says that the "sentouryoku" points of a DB character isn't in the normal decimal base system we normally use, after doing some complicated math, thinking of how (i) the combined powers of all mankind were stronger than Buu, and (ii) Kame-Sennin desroyed the Moon. If it's in decimal base, twenty normal people combined can destroy the Moon (which, of course, is near impossible - therefore making decimal base a no-no in this matter). According to the data, if you want the logic that destroyed Buu to be true, it has to be so that a fully charged Freeza can wipe out the whole universe of right now and unleash the power of a thousand Big Bangs (or more, I think. Not sure). Having defeated him, Goku... you don't want to start on him, right? Well, some Japanese scientists are really "fun". They actually used normal logic on an action manga.
The Spirit Bomb uses power all at once instead of a continuous force like it would be if 20 people went to the moon and tried to beat it up. Plus, the power given is untapped power, and not only comes from people from the planet but all of the other animals, plants, and anything else that could be considered to have spiritual force. Not to mention pretty much all of the energy of the person who uses it.

But I don't think I would really classify physical attacks as "cool"
Sailor Gourmet
Frankly, the whole story of Dragonball Z in both the manga and the anime kept my attention longer than Naruto did. With that, my vote is with Dragonball Z. You can't really beat something you watched while growing up. Naruto is still a bit new- newer than most of my favorite animes that is.
