God dammit Dark(and the vuvuzela's similar personalities I guess), my sig even says Corporal. Anguish is Polaris. And J-Max tried spiritually locking a thread, then we were all like no J don't do that it's lame he was like okay sorry guys. Huntar was the spiritually locking guy.

I'm thinking of writing a conclusion chapter then tackling modern day YCM. Hopefully my new thread gets to stay on General; I'll make an argument for it.

Are you implying that Huntar [b]wasn't[/b] a Super Mod, because that was my underlying question to this entire discussion. It seems that one would only try to spiritually lock a thread if one is not able to normally lock it (in the case of J-Max in General when he only had Custom Cards moderation). But then wouldn't that mean Huntar couldn't have been General mod, either?

Someone answer the damn question; this is annoying me way too much.

I don't actually remember the first few chapters, and since SAW is "closed", I can't even read them. I'd love for you to give a rebirth to TAHTS (or was it TAoHTS?), and I'd love to see some modern-day chapters. MarbleZone is pretty logical when it comes to moderation, but you'd probably be better posting it in FF anyways. Although it does deal with General. :3

So I've been four for four on bets, so far, it seems. I like the YModB more than the YMB; it's a lot more predictable, from my end at least.

While it wasn't textually stated, my policy is that I will not make threads unless the creator asks me to. I didn't make a thread or even offer to in the YMB until Smesh asked me to.

It was one of these emergency promotions, General was in a bad state and Hunter was one of the few mods who offered to help. And YCMaker/FP thought it was a good idea since he already did a pretty fine job in CC (yes he did, don't get me started on Bloodrun...) and seemed active so he got a second section.

But if you ask me, I don't think any of these emergency promotions were that good, because Hioco/21 Guns hardly did anything for CC but that's just personal taste.

Let me just clear things up about the "Spiritual Locking" thing. As you all know I live in the UK and would usually see no other Mods on when online. I decided to lock some of the more important Threads by placing a "Spiritual Lock" on it and issuing any member that posted after me a 20% Warn for a Week. Seemed to be rather effective too. It was harder during porn raids though. I had a real hard time during them.

Alright, I just pulled an all-nighter and I'm going to crash soon (no school today).
So since there's only an hour before the 24 hours is up and no one is online at the moment, I'm going to go ahead and post the next two matches.
Since both matches' winners are pretty much clear, I'm sure no one will mind if I declare the winners. If they somehow change and turn things around in the next half-hour or whatever, feel free to point and laugh at me for the week.
EDIT: I had a problem with Crab's avi concerning an image extension not being allowed on this board. Don't know what to do about that, sorry :/

Also, why not just make all these topics at the same time? (Or get up to like, 3 or 4 a day?)

Every round is randomized, it's not elimination style.

It's just how we did the YMB, don't want to do it all at once.

Randomized to make it cooler.

If you post all the topics at the same time, you'd have the same people guaranteed to visit the topics (meaning you wouldn't get as diverse of results, not like making them day-by-day gets you amazingly diverse results), and it'd also be considered flooding and just plain annoying.

Sadly, this is not the YMB. But, you can not use the same Randomizer, if you get rid of Knockout Brackets.

Meh, I just assumed since the names were crossed out they had been eliminated or whatever.

On that note, exactly how many rounds are in this and how does this all work and what not? Because if you make it so that everyone fights everyone at least once, doing only 2 rounds a day it would take a pretty long time to get it all done. (I'm bad with the math. I think it's 72 days, but I'm not sure.)

I didn't say all the topics at the same time. I said more of them. If you make four topics per day instead of two, you could finish the first 12 rounds in just 3 days. Secondly, since it's an "approved extension", and pretty much all the semi-active mods have posted in these topics, I doubt it'd get locked or w/e for flodding.

Lastly, you treat diversity as though it is a good thing. I say it's not, and furthermore having the same people guaranteed to visit the topics is not a bad thing.
