Lexsuncion
Yosho stood dumbfounded for a moment. Maybe...the teacher was trying to throw Yosho off guard and break his concentration? Well, by golly, it worked. Yosho was very confused at this man's unnecessary display. Almost to the point of not being able to respond. "Good Afternoon, Sensei!" His voice cracked just a bit as he forced himself to reply. "I am Kurotsuki Yosho, recent addition to the Gobuken House. I hope to learn many things from you, Sensei." Yosho gave a slight bow, hoping his introduction was acceptable. Maybe this was all some trick to see how Yosho would react in strange situations. After all...this was pretty strange. !Supra¡
"Oh right!" Ryunosuke responded as Isamu asked for help. Ryunosuke rushed over and began to help with digging Ao out of the mountain of books stacked onto him. Ao's glasses were crooked and he couldn't see the faces of the people who are helping him. "I've been trapped in here since.... Hmm.... Well I think I've been stucked here for about the last three days now." Ao answered. "What the hell?! How can you survive all this time without food or water, plus you've got so many books lying on you like this. It could've probably killed you!" Ryunosuke said. "Well I'm kinda special.... I'm not like regular people. Since my childhood, I've been known as having an extremely unique body in which I can last longer without food or water than anybody else plus my body's pretty sturdy. That's why I'm a good researcher, but I don't mean to brag though. And I couldn't get myself out because I'm not very strong.... But right now I'm pretty thirsty and I seriously need to use the restroom." Ao explained. "Oh right, by the way, how the heck you even got stuck in the first place?" Ryunosuke asked while digging through the books. "Well, I was trying to find my research notes so I looked around everywhere for it. I finally found it on top of this mountain of books, and when I try to get it the books fell over and I was trapped under here." Ao explained. -Elsewhere- Asutomu clapped his hand ten times, and in a very distinct pattern too. This was just one of the many quirks Asutomu has. "Alright then it's a pleasure to meet you Yosho. And no need to be so formal with me. Now would you like to have some tea? I need to ask you a few questions to get to know you better. Afterall, I can't be a good teacher if I don't know my students. So I won't take no for an answer! Let's go!" Asutomu said as he began walking towards his class.
Lexsuncion
Yosho blinked in confusion. No need to be formal? What type of teacher was this man? Oh well. Maybe he was a genius or something, and his genius caused him to be slightly...off in the eyes of others. That had to be it. "Yes, Sensei." Yosho replied, formally of course, and followed him to his class. Going toward the building felt a bit better than being outside in the open where he could be observed. He had a reputation he was trying to escape, so it was best for him to learn inside where he could mess up in peace, rather than outside in the training yards where he could build his reputation. The downside was that the classroom was better for books and academic work, which Yosho really didn't have too much of a problem with. But it could be helpful if he got new books and material, since he really only learned to read recently. --Yosho had to agree that a teacher should know his students. He felt it was especially important when the material was so diverse and flexible. After all, most of the students had their own focus and set of powers. If you didn't know how they feel about things, and in turn how they feel about their abilities, you couldn't teach them well. Maybe this teacher wasn't...too crazy. !Supra¡
The sat down at a table with tea already prepared. This wasn't any ordinary tea either, but a special tea created from natural ingredients that helps the body and mind to achieve better focus and control on energy. This kind of tea is extremely helpful in this case considering what Yosho's student document told about him. Asutomu looked into Yosho's eyes but he didn't make it obvious. Asutomu had a friendly smile on his face to make sure that Yosho can feel comfortable around him. Afterall, Asutomu was the type of teacher to connect with his students in order to help the student achieve their full potential. "(I can tell by his eyes that he has quite a large amount of virtue energy flowing freely throughout his body. Although he cannot channel it thoroughly. It seems the virtue energy is moving along just find but in a way that is hard to focus and control)" Asutomu thought deeply while still retaining his friendly expression. "So Yosho, I can tell by your appearance that you're not of full Japanese descent are you? You look a bit western, European maybe? You know I once dated this European girl. Boy was she tough. She could've done things that would usually take two grown men to do. She also had a pretty decent amount of virtue energy too even though she wasn't a samurai. She was actually just selling flowers for a living. She didn't make much out of that profession, but man let me tell you. Her flowers were so beautiful and so full of life. It seems as though her flowers were grown from the gardens up in the Heaven Realm. Her flowers were kind of special though. At first, her flowers were pale and fragile looking, but as they grew, those flowers became some of the most beautiful things ever. Even I envy them hehe." Asutomu lightly joked. "Anyways, you remind me of those flowers. I mean, right now you don't appear to be in the best of shape, but with hard work, determination, and when correctly nurtured, I believe you will bloom into something extraordinary." Asutomu said with a calm expression. This calmness that Asutomu is expressing is rarely seen by others. Asutomu was no doubt a strange person, but, maybe it was the strangeness of his that encouraged students the most. "So Yosho, tell me a bit about yourself. Oh, and make sure to drink the tea alright." Asutomu said with a smile.
The Amazing Avian
Shin left the room and escorted the new student into Utagawa's office. "My name is Kenshin Akechi, I'm the new student." Kenshin looked at the Chief Samurai then got down to his knee. "Ah, so you're the new student, according to the documents I received, you are quite the exceptional swordsman, Am I correct?" "Yes, I was highly praised by my sensei for having mastered Iaido. I am able to both defeat an opponent and deflect bullets fired from muskets." Kenshin said. "In any case, I would still like to test your abilities. Shin, take him to the obstacle course and get him ready. We'll begin in one hour." With that, Kenshin was escorted out of the Chief Samurai's office and taken to the obstacle course, where he awaited Utagawa's arrival.
!Supra¡
Utagawa stood up from his chair and ran his fingers through his short, black hair. "*Sigh* I haven't gotten much sleep last night, but.... A job's a job.... Let me see what kind of capabilities does this new student have. According to the documents, this student shows promise. He was the top apprentice samurai at Ishikawa Temple. Maybe I should include him in the team this year.... Hmm, we'll see...." Utagawa picked up his dark blue, koi fish-patterned haori from his chair and drapped it over his shoulders then walked out of the room. "(I guess today is a pretty interesting day....)" Utagawa thought to himself as he walked out of the main temple and headed towards the Obstacle Courses. By now Kenshin and Shin have arrived at the Obstacle Courses were they were preparing for a battle. "Yo Kenshin, you ready for a battle? Cause you're going up against me with Utagawa recording your progress. Lemme tell ya, I'm not an easy opponent so prepare yourself good." Shin said in order to prepare Kenshin. Lexsuncion
Yosho observed the odd man for hidden meaning in his words. It was hard to picture him as a teacher at first, but now Yosho could tell he was probing for something. Yosho felt a bit more at easy when the Sensei wasn't acting silly. He was about to reply to Asutomu Sensei when he asked about his heritage, but stopped when he continued speaking. When he he finished his story, Yosho nodded a bit and drank the tea SLOWLY. Last time he drank tea, which was the first time and two days ago, he burnt himself. Apparently, tea is a hot drink. He cleared his throat, and continued, s usual with his formalities. His new family was probably forcing him to always speak formally, so he wouldn't disgrace their name in a week after being adopted. "Well-um. Thank you for having me privately, Sensei. It is an honor to have you as a Teacher." I think "I'm not fully japanese, no. I was born to an enlish merchant passing through the area. My mother was a prostitute. Most people told me I wouldn't even be allowed to amount to anything, and it was sorta true. But one I attacked some bad men, and a sammurai from the temple saved me. Later on the temple took me in. About a week ago I was adopted by the Kurotsuki family. I guess thats it..." Yosho shrugged. He didn't really like talking about himself. There was a lot more to the boy than he explained, like obvious things detailed in his report. Also the fact he chose a sword that was completely unsuited for him, or anything, for that matter, because the sword "looked bored". As his report stated, he seemed to have little to no control over Virtue energy. He could apperantly "Reinforce" items, but his record showed that because he didn't maintain the balance of energies in the items when he did it, he weakened them rather than made them stronger. It was at least a start. He also knew how to force energy into his Kigeki, which was luckily a weapon designed to draw energy in, so it didn't weaken or break down when he did it. He was slightly better at that, but only because the fundamentals were more basic, and the sword was designed for such things. He didn't seem to be built like the normal person you'd expect to wield a two-handed sword either. He was light and springy, not large and strong. His sword had the same contradiction, though. Perhaps the two were just made for each other that way? Either destiny had brought the young man to some extreme fate, or was just playing a trick on the world.... !Supra¡
"I see.... Quite an interesting past. A past that seems to be filled with sad memories. But that is it, the past is the past, so now we must move on to the future." Asutomu said with a rather poetic flare. His true personality was emerging once again, even though if only for a brief moment. "Alright Yosho, now tell me. Exactly what do you want to improve on. I rather hear the words coming out of your mouth than reading from some document. I want to know what do you want to improve on first, then we'll start with some basic training. I promise to you, as your teacher, to help you become a great samurai~<3!" Asutomu said with passion.
Lexsuncion
Without hesitation, Yosho answered, "I want to protect people. I want to get better at that." The young man's mind seemed to be dead-set on that ideal. However...he didn't continue speaking, or explain HOW he wanted to protect people. He seemed to only really know that he wanted to protect people. His record showed that he lacked discipline, but perhaps he was just very stubborn and straight forward, as opposed to being disorderly? Whatever the case, he seemed to have an intense focus...on something. He seemed to be trying his hardest to stay proper and respectful, as if he didn't know exactly how to. Despite the tense nature, his body was relaxed enough to spring into action at any moment, as if it were used to the tension. The more Atstomu watched the boy, the more he'd see that it seemed more and more like he was like an egg--Soft and weak, if not for the shell of strength around it. Lord of Chaos
Isamu heaved another large pile of books revealing Ao's left arm "Well there's one part of you." Isamu thought for a moment trying to think of a better way to move away the books with out hurting Ao, but the only thing he could think of was kibaku, but he didn't know if any of them had one that could use one that would be able to move the books without harming Ao, but he could not think of anything, so he continued to move away the mountain of books pile by pile, Isamu noticed that Ao's glasses were not on right and decided to give him the curtsy of introducing himself "Well while we work away at this mountain of books allow me to introduce myself, I am Isamu." he said smiling slightly even though Ao would not be able to see it
~ Dākunaitomon ~
"Hey Ao I know we just met and all...oh wait first of all My name is Taiki Suguru second of all what are you doing? I don't mean to judge a book on it's cover but you are not exactly the guy I thought you'd be I thought you would be like an Elder or something and/or you'd be like a tough warrior. Although if you were all tough like that you wouldn't need us. but yeah. So can I ask you why you are researching the Sin Energy Displacement? oh and why do you want us to bring back a Tsumimono It could be dangerous." Hydra of Ages
Minako drifted out of her stupor-like state. She found it was often easy to drown out outside noise by going into a meditative trance while walking; it made her easy to ambush, of course, and she tripped every so often, but it was worth it to be able to focus when nothing of particular interest was going on. She could go over her notes in her head, or simulate fights in her brain, or anything really she did while in real meditation; besides, it was useful to block out the chatter of her team mates. When she came to, she noticed the researcher they were looking for covered by a mount of books. She stared for a few minutes before shaking her head in dismay. "Exactly how did you manage to... never mind..." she muttered, shaking her head and refraining from face-palming. She considered briefly using one of her Kibaku to blast away the books, but figured doing so would probably damage Ao too, and decided just to help move the literature by hand. Lord of Chaos
Isamu lifted another large pile of books moving them aside and looked seeing that they were making great progress now that they were all working away at the pile of books. Isamu moved another pile of books exposing Ao's left thigh and part of his mid section "My friend you got yourself in a mess, but good thing we found you. You might have been here for quit a while longer." he said trying to be nice, but again his voice held a back handed tone, he went back to moving more and more books away from Ao. Isamu thought to himself "This is rather time consuming, you would think he might be more careful when moving around with all of these books."
