Just earlier today i've found out that Keiji inafune leaves Capcom (sorry for my lousy grammar >_>)

This made me cry. Even though Inafune-san quit, I doubt MegaMan will go away. I mean, he's Capcom's freaking mascot! I'm sure MegaMan will be continued, just not with Keiji at the helm.

EDIT: Or....just read this http://www.themmnetwork.com/2010/10/29/mega-man-projects-still-carrying-on/

Good riddance. Hopefully, his replacement will evolve the franchise instead of basically taking the same game, adding 2-3 new things to it, new/better music, and releasing it. Megaman needs some fresh blood, and a push into the gaming world of today, and in 2008, Inafune went back to selling us games from 1988.

We went from classic Megaman (1987), to X (1993), to Zero (2002), to ZX (2006), with Legends, Battle Network, and Star Force helping the franchise branch out into other genres, then to classic Megaman with nothing new and much less than what Megaman 3 had (2008). As great of a franchise Megaman is, if you look at all the series, Inafune fell into the trap of repetitiveness. Megaman 1-6 looked and played the same, with differences here and there. It had to evolve to compete with a world that was tossing aside the NES for a SNES, thus 7 was on SNES. It had to evolve again with the PS1 becoming the system with 8. Then, someone thought it was a great idea to put Megaman & Bass on the SNES...in 1998. In America, we got the crappier GBA port. Then, in 2008, we got Megaman 9. It was a treat for retro gamers who remembered Megaman 2 as a kid, but if we already have Megaman 2, why do we more Megaman games that are like Megaman 2? This year, instead of a new experience in the classic series, we get Megaman 10, another MM2 clone with the many limitations and milking the success of MM9. Megaman 10's only selling point was Sheep Man, and DLC playable Proto Man and Bass. That's it. It's just Megaman 9 with different levels.

Megaman can evolve for today's world with the right people working on it. Hideo Kojima has successfully evolved the Metal Gear franchise from the MSX computer game Metal Gear to a 3D masterpiece Metal Gear Solid 4 while presenting a well written story and plenty of replayability. Story-wise, Inafune ranges from good to lazy. He made a good story for Zero, but ZX's story an undesirable mess reminiscent of a terrible anime, which is probably why there won't be a ZX3. He can't even resolve the classic series, and he never will because there are enough idiot fans that he be lazy and make the same game over and over and no one other than non-gamers will notice.

Still, to give credit where credit is due, Inafune did create a game that was original with plenty of enjoyable sequels. Now with him gone, I'd like to see Kojima take a whack at the franchise. He'd fix the entire main universe's continuity, evolve the series greater than Inafune could, and the new games would have more easter eggs and in-jokes, and dirty magazines to throw at Sniper Joes, hopefully in a ZX3.

ive played all three starforce games beacuse im loyal to megaman in any form, but all fealing aside i gave the games a 5 out of 10

Same, but I didn't bother with the 3rd game because I just didn't think it'd be worth it after being disappointed with the first two.

And there we go. He finally made his dream of making Legends 3, and he leaves.

Hopefully the games won't lose their charm. =/

Sadly the 3rd was the best.

He just won't be the same XD

Well, naturally. Eventually, they're just going to make another series, only without Inafune's input (maybe; you never know if he'll give suggestions or anything like that). I guess we'll just have to see what comes of already established franchises (X comes to mind)

i just want them to continue the storyline of the main story (i'm talking about RM,RMX,RMZ,RMD,RMZX,RMD) and for the to stop with all the ridiculous spin offs (MMU , RM.exe, RnR) that were never as interesting in storyline as the main story

Nice to see an a-typical bunch of nostalgia and Nintendo hate on YCM, we never ever see that.
