@Future: Your cards effect is great. To bad you have to give up three monsters to get it. Once its out there you have the advantage with effects.

@Hades: Your card also has a great effect. Once you get it out there your opponent can't attack, but one card is easy to destroy. Unless you have a decent water deck getting three water monsters in your hand at once is difficult, but future also has that problem.

My vote is for Future. When Hades effect is in play the monster could still have high stats. With Futures they get cut in half. Ultimately that why I am selecting Future. Both of these cards are great to bad only one can win.

Future

Lore

This is a Level 6 monster that's pretty hard to summon consider the 3 monster require to be remove. But when summon, it halve the ATK and DEF of every FIRE monster which is very useful considering FIRE monster has great ATK but also comes with cool burn effect.Though, when you play a WATER deck with a lot of WATER monster which is needed to Special Summon this card, it's ATK is lowered by 100 points which is that bad I guess considering it's a level 6 and 2600 ATK is pretty awesome. The only thing that's bad about this card is that it can't protect itself and the picture could be better though it's irrelevant.

Hades

Lore

This card cannot be Special Summoned or Set. While this card is face-up on the field, face-up FIRE monsters cannot attack. Once per turn, during your Main Phase you can discard 3 WATER Monster Cards from your Hand to destroy all face-up FIRE monster your opponent controls. If this effect is activated, halve the ATK of this card by 1000 until the End Phase.

A level 8 monster with great amount of power and strong effect which is to stop FIRE monster but since FIRE monster have great burn and other support that can help them to destroy any monster (i.e Volcanic Scatershoot) this card can be abuse and ultimately destroy easily plus, 3 card to destroy all FIRE monster is pretty disappointing for a level 8 but it's a pretty good card if it has it's own deck.

so I'll go with FUTURE!!

I vote for future

I think that it wouldn't be that easy to get 3 WATER monsters to discard while removing 3 WATER monsters isn't as hard. Also halving all fire monsters ATK and DEF could be very helpful against something like Volcanic Doomfire and even if you had all Water monsters it wold still have 2200 while reducing glacial ocean titan's ATK by 1000 would be a big decrease. By the way both pictures are awesom

If I had to try out a Deck that could work for either of these cards, the best chance is either having a FIRE Deck as your opponent (yeah right) or using cards to turn other monsters into FIRE monsters. Based on that:

First Card:

The only currently good combo is that DNA Trap Card that affects ALL monsters on the field. Which in turn would get all monsters halved (leaving the ATK ratios pretty much the same so, if your monster couldn't kill a certain monster before, why would it be able to do it now?)

Another "fun" combo would be Scroll of Bewitchment. With the advantage of being an Equip Card and therefore affecting 1 monster only. With your monster, it is turned into a Shrink which is pretty decent (outclassed but still a decent option in my opinion).

The 1 thing making it hard to rate. The Summoning Conditions. To be honest, the way its worded sucks really badly when its time to pointing out the difference between nomis, semi-nomis, or just self-Special-Summon-able monsters. Not to say that you don't say where the monsters are removed from either (Yes, you DO need to specify that).

Lets just try to work with that by medium of assumption here and forget about these two past lines and see what we come up with.

It is saying "This card can only be Summoned by removing from play 3 WATER monsters", so we can assume we cannot Normal Summon it and we cannot Special Summon it either (by other effects that are not its own). It doesn't say it cannot be "Set", so I guess you can bypass that by just putting it face-down. That style of grammar doesn't tell me if the monster can be Special Summoned back if it was properly Summoned the way it is stated in the card first.. that's still a problem.

Also, when cards outside the field are not really specified to be "somewhere outside the field", it is only natural in the game to assume it only states the "field". Based on that, not telling from where, it is safe to say you must remove from play 3 WATER monsters on your side of the field (what a sucky condition, this card just lost this vote if the second card is not bad enough.

^the italic is pretty much trolling (in case it is not obvious already), but the message is still true. Not stating where you remove the monsters from and more specific Summoning instructions can indeed make a big difference >_>

Second Card:

This card cannot be Special Summoned or Set. While this card is face-up on the field, face-up FIRE monsters cannot attack. Once per turn, during your Main Phase you can discard 3 WATER Monster Cards from your hand to destroy all face-up FIRE monster your opponent controls. If this effect is activated, decrease the ATK of this card by 1000 until the End Phase.

Scratched parts aren't really wrong, but they are unnecessary (you can do it without them, the rest of the effect automatically implies them in this case).

The "or Set" part attached to the first part sounds odd. I don't get what's so wrong about putting it face-down but in either case, the closest in the game to this wording is legal Ra's effect saying "This card cannot be Special Summoned. You must Tribute 3 monsters to Normal Summon this card (you cannot Set this card)." ... pretty much just take out the scratched part and the extra period that's going to be left that that's pretty much the same effect.

Now, coming back to playability, this card has about the same options as the first card (Attribute changing effects pretty much). I think this has an interesting effect. Stalling. Some Decks could use it (if it didn't have that much Level that is). Its an ok effect but it could have done it even as a Level 4 Special Summon-able monster without being overpowered.

The second effect is too underpowered. Loosing 1000 ATK for 1 turn, discarding 3 kinds of cards, it being a "cost", and only for a Specific Lightning Vortex, coming from a monster that needs 2 Tributes and cannot be Special Summoned (even if you used Unshaven Angler its still Underpowered).
