Lonk
Doesn't mean they can be used in an epic way, though they are not good enough for the current meta. Did I tell you yet that I survived the Fish Synchro OTK with 400 life points and annhilated my opponent with Worm King?
Bringerofcake
Well, I should edit my statement. I mean that Konami floods the game with cards from the anime (that aren't very good, even in the anime). However, many of the archetypes and strategies that come from the TCG alone end up being not bad (DT archetypes, Scraps, Gravekeepers, Spell Counter decks, Plants etc). Obviously, not all of the anime cards are bad (basically 5ds stuff) and not all of the TCG concepts are good (Senet) but the fact remains that the majority of OC in the game is decent, better than the vast majority of cards from the anime. Lonk
I have to say cards based on the anime are not good due to the fact that most cards are already situational and Konami nerfs out of fear. Also, Worm King is good for destruction and Worm Queen is good for Deck Thinning.
shadowferret
Most of the cards from the Anime are just plot devices... or really situational. Stardust Phantom was so awesome when Yuusei used him, but when I actually read the card and thought about his uses, I wasn't really all that impressed anymore. =/ Though I really do wish all of the anime cards would be released, like Toon Kingdom, Infernity Burst, Miracle Contact, etc... As for Worms, they're fun. I was gonna try to make a Worm-Vennominaga deck, but I'm really just too lazy to do it... which Worms are the ones worth running, in your opinion? Bringerofcake
Cartaros, Jetelklipse, King, Queen, Xex, Yagan, Zero, Solid From what I remember when I built the deck in WC10

Rakuyeh reseting himself to avoid Venom Counters isn't a bad investment. There have been Instences where I have only won because of Worm Victory first of all his flip effect [which can help with Venominaga's Summon] then the factor of how many Atk points he gets and how qucikly they go up. [s][add Evil Dragon Anatia as backup easy to summon potentialy high atk + Destruction good to stall with][/s] sorry Venom colab forgot
I answered his question literally. You MIGHT run Illidan, but really, that's kinda it. Linx for what little draw power you can get from it being on the field, but that's about it.
See, I'm assuming the deck revolves around Vennominon, and not Venom Swamp. Future Fusion + Worm Zero works for Vennominon similarly to Chimeratech Overdragon. Victory, while what Dec said is true, requires Limit Reverse and Book of Moon, or more advantage than Worm King. Speaking of which, Limit Reverse is a good idea. I also heard of using Snake Rain to mill 3 -nominons, and then Symbols of Duty one back. Viper's Rebirth is great with Rise. Pull Vennominon back and get Naga at End Phase. If you do decide to run Annanta, Trade-In works well. Also, Allure is essential. I've built more than a few Venom builds (not to mention all the other Reptile builds) in my time, so if you need any more help, let me know. Sweetie Belle
Future Visions + Necroface = Angry Opponent. I love Fortune Ladies. And apparently, on the topic of worms, I've never played the Reptile ones, but I ran the Insect version.
Brinolovania
But the insects and reptiles are completely different...and the reptile ones have a grand total of one support card.
Sweetie Belle
Yeah... My friend has the reptiles. And they still have Reptile support. And then cards like Book of Moon... I still prefer the insects, though.
Brinolovania
But we can't really discuss the insects and reptiles at the same time 'cause they're completely different... Brinolovania
Most amazing noob story EVER. I have seen this proved; I know it's true. So at regionals, this guy is trading with a little noobie kid. The noobie finds the good player guys 3 Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoises, and gets really excited. The guy sees that the noobie has a Pot of Duality, and asks if he'll trade it for the Tortoises. He says yes...and that he'll trade his other 2 copies also because "I don't like it because it doesn't let you special summon". So, this guy gets 3 Duality...for 3 Emerald Tortoise. ... WTF?!?! While I'm mostly thinking "You don't do that! AHHHHHHHH", part of me is thinking "NONONO YOU DON'T RUN EMERALD TORTOISE IN CRYSTAL BEASTS AHHHHHHHHH". And another pro Duality story!
I activate Pot of Duality! I reveal the top three cards of my deck, and add them all to my hand! Now I can Special Summon one due to Duality's effect!
Sweetie Belle
"I attack your Maximus with my Celtic Guardian!" "KM Maximus is 3000 ATK. Your Guardian is only 1000 (I had Burden of the Mighty)." "Yeah, but his lightning-fast attacks confuse your Maximus, leaving his weak spot open so he can be destroyed!" "...dumb@ss." One kid at school, dumbest kid I ever met, tried to use Pokemon cards with his Yugioh deck. He was like, "Your Batteryman is asleep! It can't attack!" ("I choose you, Dark Magician!") shadowferret
CELTIC GUARDIAN. He beats dragons. <3 the Celtic Guardian. USE THE CELTIC GUARDIAN, YUUUUUGIII! *celtic guardian fanboy* Back around Cyberdark Impact, before we all knew how to play well, my friend thought that paying the cost for an effect can trigger others. Like, "I discard to activate Raigeki Break. Since I discarded, Cyber Gymnast and Snipe Huneter's effect activates!" That, combined with "Once per turn means once during each player's turns" made him really hard for me to beat. I'm SO glad we started entering tournaments and got all that cleared away. >.> Also, it struck me as kinda odd when I was playing a pro at Regionals. I Normal Summon Infernity Archfiend from my hand. "Are you activating effect?" ".....it wasn't Special Summoned. >_> " Then next game: "I drew Archfiend, Special Summon it." "Bottomless! I don't want you activating his effect again next turn!" "" (Also, back in the day I ran a reptile deck, but it was really random... Here's the build if you wanna take a look.
Vennominaga, The Deity Of Poisonous Snakes Vennominon, The King Of Poisonous Snakes x3 Alien Ammonite x3 Alien Shocktrooper x3 Reptilianne Vaskii x2 Reptilianne Gardna x2 Reptilianne Naga x2 Reptilianne Viper Oshaleon x3 Snake Rain x2 Giant Trunade Viper's Rebirth x3 Dark Hole Monster Reborn Swords Of Revealing Light Rise Of The Snake Deity x2 Offering To The Snake Deity x2 Limit Reverse x3 Call Of The Haunted Damage = Reptile Torrential Tribute The Transmigration Prophecy
I was always kind of disappointed because it seemed really good, but it rarely summoned Vennominaga. The builds I made that could summon Vennominaga a LOT lost a lot, though. =/ }
