Seriph had dozed off on the couch. The phone beside him rang and he picked it up, "Hello." He listen for a second, "Okay, I'm on my way. Oh, and by the way grab Deck 3-14 I would hate to reveal unnecessary secrets until necessary". He hung up and grabbed his suit case and threw his suit jacket over his shoulder and went out the door.
[30 minutes later]
He arrived at a large clearing at the outskirts of the city. He stepped off his duel runner and removed his helmet, he removed a small ear piece and placed it in his ear, "Is it ready?". "Yes, the pieces are in play and the pawns are on the move". Seriph smiled, "Excellent, now open the gate so I can board, we launch as soon as the public shuttle activates".

"ZzzzzzZzzzzzZzzzz.... huh?" Akarui stated, just waking up. "*Yawn* Mornin." Akarui stated. He jumped on his feet. He grabbed opened the deck box and pulled out the Stardust Dragon card. "(2500 Attack Points of awesomeness.....)" Akarui thought with a smile. He thought about his dream last night, what did it mean? Was something like that going to happen to him? He could only think.... "Oh, sorry bout that Strata. I was.... just..... thinking....." Akarui stated, getting lost in his thoughts about his dream again....

"That's fine. Hey, remember our duel yesterday? When we summoned our dragons, our arms started glowing..." Strata looked down at his arm. "...And these strange marks appeared. Got any idea what it means?" Strata asked. "Ah, nevermind that, we're going up in a space station soon! This is gonna be the world's greatest tournament since, well, since a really long time!" Strata said enthusiastically. "Hey, you seem quieter than usual. Something botherig you?" Strata asked.

-MEANWHILE-

Leuneth looked over at the duelists who had gathered, spotting a few of the other Dark Signers he had seen last night. "...So they showed up as well...hm...This is going to become interesting rather quickly...Best make sure that the Signers don't see me...Yet..." Leuneth thought. Leuneth walked into the small crowd of duelists spread across the large plain where the station would launch.

"Yeah...." Akarui stated. He started explaining to Strata about the dream he had last night. He told him about the giant Duel Monster and Yusei, he also explained that Yusei also had a mark. ".... and the giant's hand went straight for him, going right through Stardust Dragon.... but I woke up before it ended." Akarui finished off. He started to explain about the other dream he had after that."It was another Turbo Duel. But it wasn't against the same person, it was 3 on 1. Crow, Jack and Yusei vs someone else. After a while Yusei had his marked switched to the exact same that I have." Akarui explained, "But the same thing happened again.... I woke up before it finished...." Akarui explained.

"Wow... Those are some strange dreams..." Strata said. "You said you saw Yusei in the first one, being attacked by a giant monster that went through Stardust? And in the second one, Crow, Jack, and Yusei vs another person...?" Strata thought for a moment. "That doesn't sound like an ordinary dream. Maybe it has somethig to do with these marks of ours?" Strata pulled out Black Feather Dragon. "You said you saw Jaco, Crow, and Yusei in that second dream, right? Did you see Stardust or Black Feather?" Strata asked.

Max awoke from his night's sleep, drowzy and unwilling to move. "..... Ugh..... Five more minutes....." Max spoked to himself as he was still daze from sleep. A miniature robot came into the room and began beeping and transmitting a message. "Today's the big tournament Max, wake up. Today's the big tournament Max, wake up. Today's...." The robot continued to transmit the message over and over again, until Max finally awoke and turned off the robot. Max then gave a big yawn and went into his restroom. After his daily morning routines, Max continued onwards to the tournament meeting site. After finally arriving, Max noticed that there were a massive crowd of participants. "Whoa, it looks like there is going to be a lot of contenders in this tournament...."

From his seat, Ven observed the gathering entrants via the viewpoint, steepling his hands and resting his chin on top of them. Things are moving along at last...the main game is beginning, and we're already on top of the game. He smirked to himself, pausing when he noticed Max through the view. He considered the boy for a moment or two, then chuckled to himself. That one had been the most interesting case of a duelist...if only he didn't rely on his Synchro monsters...he might even have managed to defeat him and his Machine Emperor.

However, this was all overall irrelevent. He alone had escaped the stagnation mankind's fate had brought, and he would be one to herald in the new age for man. The tournament was the first step, and he just had to make sure things went smoothly. That was part of his plan.

Akarui was about to respond when another blimp came through. Another hologram appeared. It was the current president of KaibaCorp. He looked upon the city. "Attention Duelists. The tournament is about to begin! Report to THIS area immediately!" He declared, he pointed down to where Akarui and Strata were. His finger went through Akarui. Akarui jumped and fell on his butt when he realized the hologram went right through him. "There are a number of Space Shuttles here for all duelists to board. Be sure to receive your Duel Calculator." he explained. He showed one he had on him. It was pocket-sized "On the left side of the screen is how many duelists remain in the competition. On the right is your picture, underneath that is how many losses you have left until you are eliminated from the tournament. Underneath that is your duelist number. Now I will explain how this tournament will work.;"

"This is a Free-for-all tournament. You have two losses until you are sent back to Earth.

This tournament has three different dueling styles.;

*The first would be the Classic Duel, the original we all know.
*Second of all, there is the Tag Duel, just a like the normal duel, but each partner takes their turn after each round.
*Finally, we have the newest type of duel. The Turbo Duel, Duel Boards and Duel Runners are both acceptable.

When the last two duelists are standing, they are moved to the center of the station. Which is completely blocked off to all duelists until then. They have the following choices for duels;

*The Classic Duel.
*The Tag Duel, one duelist can select one duelist on Earth and they are sent to the station, one team MUST have two. One side may choose to be solo.
*The Turbo Duel
*The Tag Turbo Duel, the same as both the Tag Duel and the Turbo Duel, if you can't put 2 and 2 together, you aren't fit to be in this tournament." Kaiba explained.

Akarui nodded, still on the ground "I'm ready..." he stated.

Lily smiled and walked over to the designated area. She was now dressed in her full outfit, a black hooded robe with red-trimmed edges. The hood over her head covered most of her face, making her oddly inconspicuous despite the odd choice in dress. She wore her Duel Disk on her arm already, and waited patiently for things to progress. Her eyes scanned the crowd, nodding at the thought of all the duelists here, all the souls her Immortal could feed on to pay her dues. She would not lose here...she would make sure she reached the end of the tournament. It was her dream...the crowd roared in her ears as she ascended the stage, eyes shimmering with happy tears as she received the commemoration trophy...labeling her as the greatest duelist in the world...her picture on TV, on posters...the admiration of millions of duelists...

She closed her eyes. I want this...It's my reason to live...

"Sounds interesting enough." Strata said, looking at the blimp. He turned to Akarui. "Alright, Akarui. Let's go get those Duel Calculators, then let's go push through the ranks!" Strata said excitedly. "So, uh... Which way do we go...?" Strata said quietly. He looked around until he noticed one of the various shuttles that had just landed. "There's one." Strata said. "Alright Akarui, let's go." Strata picked up his stuff, and walked over to one of the shuttles. When he boarded, he noticed another one of the KC suits was behind a counter. "Huh. This must be the place, then." Strata walked over to the counter. The suit said nothing, buthanded Strata a Duel Calculator. Strata looked at it for a second.
It read:
On the back was his name
To the left was his picture
Underneath that, was the number 2
Below that, 37

"So this is a Duel Calculator? Huh. Can't say I'm impressed, but it seems to work. Guess Akarui will be off-limits here... Oh well, there's plenty of other duelists around here that should prove to bechallanging enough. Though, looks like we have to get into space first." Strata said to himself.

-MEANWHILE-

Leuneth had boarded one of the other shuttles. He had just gotten a Duel Calculator. "...Hmph...None of this matters to me...My real goal..." Leuneth thought. "...Release...No...Yes...But...Still...No..." Leuneth couldn't decide. "...Hmph...That does not matter now..." He pulled out his immortal card, careful not to reveal it. "...Soon, Aslla, I may no longer require your assistance...Yes, I know what that means...I don't care...However, I require your assistance right now...That is all that matters for you...You will not think of anythin else..." Leuneth thought, communicating with Aslla Piscu. "...You are not in control of me...I control you...Existing in such a form comes with a price...You know that price..." Leuneth thought.

-MEANWHILE-

Sven was watching the many duelists come and go through the viewpoint. "Hm... Do any of them look familiar, Rasgo, Ven? Let me know if you notice any of the possible Signers. I know of one, you know of two, Rasgo, and you, Ven... You said you might know of one. Have you seen him yet?" Sven asked.

Zeta was surprised by another Dark Signer's sudden appearance but tried not to show it. "Sure, let's look for them and let everyone notice a mysterious group of seven people with strange marks." He said sarcastically. "I'm going to have to say 'No'. Chill, all right? I mean, it's not like anyone can kill us outside of a Duel." And then he resumed waiting for the announcement, where he would begin tracking down the Signers, like every other Dark Signer. He knew he held the strongest Earthbound Immortal out of all the others' ones, but the others didn't know it. Nor did they. Then he went to get his Duel Calculator.

Unlike at least one of the other Dark Signers, Rin was not in her robes, and indeed hadn't worn them in quite some time. She headed over to collect her 'duel calculator', which she held between her thumb and fingertips, with a look somewhere between curiosity and disdain. The thing seemed to be fairly simple - and rather cheap - really, and was pretty much a device to show how many opponents were left. Really, it wasn't going to be hard for anyone with the mathematical skills to duel to figure out when they'd lost twice. She headed towards the shuttles, her eyes watching in case any other Dark Signers were getting on the same one. She could feel the Immortal stirring over something, but she ignored it for the moment.

Meko boarded a shuttles and sat in a set near the back, As he looked at his duel calculator he saw it had a chip on the side of it so he pulled some super glue out of his pocket and filled it in he then put a thin layer over the whole thing all but the screen and the buttons he then pulled a Purple sharpy out and colored the calculator with it. "There now I don't have to carry some ugly yellow piece of plastic around with me." He then put a string on both end of it and tied it to the top of his duel disk. 'Now lets get this show on the f***in road shall we.' He thought to himself.

"<I can't believe we had to fly to Japan.>" moaned Wan blearily as he rubbed his face up against the window of a bus, travelling through Neo Domino. "<At 2 AM.>"
Yo-Hwan, sitting next to him, punched him lightly on the arm. "<You'll get over it.>" he said as the bus pulled up next to a massive crowd of people.
"<Everbody off!> said the team coach, motioning with his clipboard. Wan took off his seatbelt, grabbed his duffel bag and walked outside. He looked at his coach, who was standing next to the bus door.
"<Hurry, hurry!>" shouted the coach, clapping his hands together as Wan's teamates ran past them. "<We want you up there as soon as possible!>"
Wan began to run. The team filed through the crowd onto the shuttles quickly, taking their DCs. Wan ended up by himself on a shuttle. Convenient, he thought as he strapped himself into a window seat, put his DC away in his bag and smoothed out his red and blue tracksuit. I think I'm forgetting something, thought Wan. He tapped his armrest a few times before his eyes closed and he fell asleep.

After collecting his Duel Calculator, Max headed over to one of the shuttles and got onboard. After taking his seat, Max curiously looked at his Duel Calculator. "Whoa, so this thing can show how many people will be in the competition? That's pretty neat. Hmm, better put it away in my luggage so I won't lose it." Max said as he slipped it into a large traveling bag. "I hope the place I'll be staying at has comfortable beds.... Aww, I need to stop worrying about the small stuff! I need to get my head in the game! Alright, I spend most of yesterday configuring my deck just in case I ever have to face the Wisel Infinity again. I wonder if there'll be other people who carries those kind of cards? I guess I'll find out sooner or later...." Max said to himself.

Rasgo gave his signature smirk towards Sven. "Well.... If you ever see someone use a deck containing Metal monsters and someone else using Blackwings and Whitewings.... Then those two are the signers I've confirmed.... The one using Metal monsters plus Stardust Dragon is a descendant of Yusei Fudo and the other one using Blackwings have some connection to Crow Hogan though it's not any direct connection like the descendant of Yusei Fudo...." Rasgo explained rather calmly as he watched the duelists entering the shuttles.

Akarui received his Duel Calculator. "Heh, looks like I'm number one heheheh...." Akarui stated, he also noticed that everyone else got other colored calculators with buttons "Heh, they probably got the original versions...." Akarui stated, noticing how his was also silver, his picture was from another recent tournament that was sponsored by KaibaCorp. His also had no buttons. "Well, others get more of these types...." Akarui stated as he boarded a shuttle, he took a seat by Strata. The back of the seats ahead of them had miniature laptops on them, only for duel simulators.

Raven had just woken up. "Today's the tournament. Better get going" He said as he went and did the usual daily activities. After that he put on his cloak and went to get some breakfest. Then he left to go to the tournament meeting spot. After a while he finally got there. "Shoo" he said as he wiped his forehead "I made it." Then he went to get his duel calculator. When he got he thought it was pretty much a cheap thing. "Oh well. I guess I'll go fing Akarui and Strata." He said as he set out to find them. After a little while he found Akarui and Strata. "Hey Akarui! Hey Strata!" He said "You ready or what?" He said as he took a seat.

Gabriel sat in a room, observing the situation. He was told he had to 'test for signers' and such. Which in short, meant he had to duel them until they wished to quit. His vengeance meant everything so sure, why not destroy some children along the way. Gabriel grinned wickedly as he sat in the room. The question though was simple. Which type of Duel to be in. Tag dueling he didn't work well with others so, most likely not. He had a runner for Turbo dueling. His Darkskulls were better suited for Turbo dueling than his Mist Masters so he continued to wonder, waiting on the word on which one to register in. Most likely, Ven would be the one giving the command.

Rin boarded a shuttle and settled into one of a number of empty seats, before removing the 'calculator' for another inspection. On closer examination, it wasn't as cheap as she'd first thought it to be. It was oddly light, but she remembered about light hand-held devices being good because it made them easier to handle. Besides, it seemed that the weight had been saved by using lighter, but still high-quality metals, rather than the cheap plastic she'd originally thought it had been. Being dead had the occasional downside, such as being less sensitive to cold - not that being resistant to a chilly breeze was a bad thing, but it meant metals didn't feel as cool to the touch.

The buttons on the device seemed to be one of those high-tech display things, almost like a touch screen, but without actually being a screen. They seemed to light up when she touched them, and as a pleasant bonus the light was a pale blue colour. Feeling less disappointed with the device, she put it away again and settled back into the seat.

Lily soon settled herself down in one of the shuttle seats, having not paid her DC the slightest bit of attention since receiving it. She was sitting off to the side, avoiding eye contact by having the hood of her robe up, and she shut her eyes, again using a method of avoiding unwanted attention or conversation. She wanted to focus on her task ahead. She had spent the last few minutes of the previous night making sure everything was ready to go. Her deck was prepared, her Duel Disk and clothing selected, and now she had nothing to do but wait until things began. And yet she could do little more than focus on her motivation to fight on.

--

Ven reclined on his throne. "Looks like all we need to do now is wait to get started," he said to Rasgo and Sven, tapping his chin. "You know, a tournament like this might have a few small snags. What if a duelist hides out from his opponents until it comes closer to the wire, and then resurfaces to swipe victories from those who fought hard the whole time. I think pruning such individuals would be a prudent idea. Better than leaving us with nothing to do, right?"

(OOC: Gabriel doesn't get the setup lol, he needs to be informed lol)

Gabriel sat and wondered. He had everything ready but he had to figure out where he'd go. he cracked his neck and grinned as he put his finger to his ear.

"Alright my three lieges....whichever of you wants to give me the heads...up on where to be, I'm ready to hear it. And unless you have a partner that can survive dueling with me, I'm figuring either Turbo or standard. Well, which is it? Heaheha..."

Gabriel cackled out into his earpiece. His time in Yliaster wasn't long but he might as well get this over and done with quickly so the identity of the murderer could be revealed. The quicker he smashed the punks around him, the quicker his vengeance would come.

OOC: My first post, alright so the pic...didnt wokr?

Kai headed towards nthe shuttles that looked to be preparing to leave. Kai stopped for a moment, his dark purple jacket swayed in the direction of the wind. Kai looked at his dark purple and black duel disk on his left arm. He took out his deck and looked at the top card, "Belief Ignition"

Kai put the card back into his Deck and looked at the shuttles. "I know I have what it takes, Kai grabbed the square locket on his necklace he opened it to see a picture of a little boy, a younger version of himself with a man who looked to be his father, the two were smiling. Kai closed the locket picture and began thinking to himself. "I'll show you that it's not a waste of time, there is a reason. Kai walked towards the shuttle, upon approaching he presented his invitation to a standing official and wlaked inside.

Nikki, dressed in normal clothes, consisting of a black skirt and a blue vest with tennis shoes, stepped out of one of the shuttles, her "Duel Calculator" in hand. "Well, I suppose this is where it all starts..." she thought, approaching her destination. "Anyways, I should avoid attracting attention for now" she muttered as she placed her Dark Synchro and her Earthbound Immortal into her vest pocket. Then, she took out another card. "and as for the so-called 'Signers' we're supposed to be after, I have this. However, before that, I have some unfinished business with a certain group of people" she thought angrily, then her face softened. "Better not tense up too much before the competition actually starts, otherwise I might prematurely expose my secret" she grinned, and awaited her "targets" to arrive.

-MEANWHILE-

Kirin stepped off of the shuttle to the the westmost station. "Alright...time for this hell to start..." he sighed, sluggishly pulling his feet towards the duel area. "It's time..." he thought as he watched his birthmark glow. "Those others must be nearby..." he thought, taking out his Black Rose Dragon card. "I hope I won't have to run into that crazy Sven guy, though..." he gave a thought to Grannel. "Though this time, if that happens, I'm ready..." he muttered, slipping out another card from his deck. "This will assure to that..." he thought, watching the other duelists cram their way out of the shuttles.

As the shuttle landed, Kai walked out to see a giant city, and many diuelists in the area, Kai's dark purple annd black jack still swayed slightly in the wind, his duel disk was attached to his arm already. Kai watched as a holographic projectition of Kaiba appeared."Kaiba..." Kai thought to himself as Kaiba began explaining the rules. "I can't do a riding duel, so it looks like the regularn style for me." He continued to listen and learned of the duel calculators, Kai watched as many people began retrieving a duel calculator. "2 losses?" Kai thought to himself, "I didn't come all this way to lose. And it won't start now." Kai went and obtained a duel calculator
