MrThatUnKewl
"My apologies." Maldito said, his card being ejected into his hand. "I play Monster Reborn! This card revives on monster in a Graveyard. I choose Sangan!" Sangan returned to the field. "With this, I end my turn. Once again, I maintain Yubel by sacrificing my Sangan to her." Sangan faded away. "And of course, Sangan's effect activates. I add yet another monster with 1500 or less ATK from my Deck to my hand. I hope you are liking this trickery. With that, my business is finished. Your move." LP: 1700 Monsters: Yubel (500/0) S/T: 0 Hand:
evilfusion
"My turn!" Lily stated, drawing and peering at the card. "I summon Phantom Skyblaster!" (Lvl 4, 1100/800) The blue hunchbacked fiend materialized in front of her, eyeing Yubel warily. "Remember him? Well, when he's Normal Summoned, I get to Special Summon Skyblaster Tokens. I only have space for two, so I get two tokens!" (500/500) x2 Lily smiled for a moment. "Attacking would just be a bad idea, so I'll have to end my turn for now." Master of The Dark
Meko got pissed at the fact that his new duel was just cut off before it evewn started. "Damnit all to hell." He said as he jumpeed up and down on the spot. After five minutes he decided to head back up to the roof to find somewhere to sit and the to sleep for the night and then he would head out to the tourenament. "Lets see how close to the finish is the duel I was watching?" He asked himself as he sat on the side of the building. Mekos Snake Mark begain to glow bright and then it got even brighter. "There are Dark Signers or drones near." He spoke to himself and then he looked down at the duel and the mark started to burn. "There' One or both of them are either Drones and Dark Signers." Raine
Seriph had retreated to his condo, he had his cards out on his glass desk. Seriph stared down for a second, then to his computer which was set up to his right. Th compute was little more than a slim silver circular tower which had a holographic screen that pulled out from the tower. The turned his body to the screen a holographic keyboard also appeared. "Progress has been fast but not fast enough I need to bring the heads of my R&D department to finish during the tournament."he began to use the computer pulling up multiple programs displaying statuses and data, "My private shuttle should be ready about the same time as the public one." Seriph stood up and collected his cards and assembled them back in to a deck." Seriph grinned, "Its almost time." He had already assembled a suitcase and a laptop bag. he remembered how the manager questioned him a few hours ago on why he choose to bring only a suitcase and bag on a "private" shuttle. Growing up in an orphanage and raised in a chapel he grew a habit of living with little, the wealthy lifestyle in the condo was his publicist idea. Afterword he remodeled a bit there was little else in the building then some couches, a phone, a deck, and a bed. Seriph sat quietly on the couch and closed his eyes waiting for the call that would have him depart.
Dementuo
Strata was sitting at a table he had built from some pieces of junk metal he had found. His cards were laid out on it. "Let's see..." Strata pulled out a pack of cards he had bought recently. "Alright, my lucky tournament pack. C'mon, give me something good..." Strata opened up the pack, pulled out the five cards in it, and smirked a bit. "Heh. That's a pretty good card." Strata said to himself. Strata put down the card onto the table with the rest of his deck. "Well, now I've got TWO new cards to wow my opponents with at the Tournament. And neither of them are that bad! In fact, these two should go together perfectly...!" Strata thought. He re-worked his deck a little, then walked outside over to where the old Deadalus Bridge was. He walked up to the end of it. The sun was setting. "Just one more day... One more till the tournament. One more day before I leave here..." Strata thought. "Just like how this bridge is a symbol of freedom, this tournament will act as a beacon for evolution... And perhaps..." Strata pulled out Black Feather Dragon. "...Maybe I'll unlock some sort of secret potential hidden in this card..." Strata went back into his house, lay down on his bed, and started sleeping for the next day. The White Wolf
Akarui was on his way back home. He had to prepare his deck, he had so many strategies to come up with. It was getting late and the tournament began in the morning. Once he returned home, he ran straight to his desk and began fiddling with his cards. He placed his deck in a plastic container. The contents of the deck appeared on the monitor of his computer. On the left side of the screen was his deck and on the right were his other cards. He fiddled with the cards on the screen, once he had a good deck, he switched to a Duel Simulator. He began a duel with the highest level CPU Opponent possible. level 10. He began the duel. [Half an Hour Later] Akarui won the simulated duel. He then turned his chair to another desk, this one had the rest of his cards on it. He grabbed his deck out of the container and began switching the cards. [Ten Minutes Later] "Whew, that's done." Akarui stated, he placed his deck in his deck box and set it next to his Duel Disk. Then he went to bed.
Merci
Zeta had been going around the city, as he was in yet another unstable fit. "Die! Die! Die! Game On! Game On! DIE DIE DIE!" He shouted as he ran across the city, uncontrollable and unstable. And then he stopped, and his mind was working again. He looked behind his shoulder, and laughed at the destruction, indicating that he was still unstable, and ran on, while saying things like "That's game!" And then his mind began working for real, and he blinked. "I'm kinda bored. I'll probably just head back for now. Besides, I need to work on my deck for the tournament later." MrThatUnKewl
"Trying to wait out the clock, eh? I hope you hurry up." Maldito drew. "And now, I summon the Samsara Lotus(500/0)!" A small green, humanoid plant appeared. "Now this is it! Samsara Lotus will each turn be sacrificed to Yubel, but also return my next turn, only to be sacrificed!" 'My plan is going pretty good so far. I'm set up to survive.' He thought. "Now, I end my turn, and sacrifice Samsara Lotus to keep Yubel on the field." Samsara Lotus faded. "And it's your move. Let's see some kind of action." LP: 1700 Monsters: Yubel (500/0) S/T: 0 Hand:
evilfusion
(Because everyone is waiting on us to finish, I'm just going to wrap this duel up) "Action? You've got it! I draw!" Lily said. Then she grinned. "During the Standby Phase, I activate Phantom Skyblaster's effect! For every Skyblaster monster on my field, you're hit with 300 points of damage! I have three Skyblaster monsters, so that's 900 points of damage!" The three hunchbacked fiends growled and cannon-like weapons appeared on their backs, launching orbs of energy at Maldito. "However, this turn they are not allowed to attack," she explained. "I could just wait until my next turn to defeat you in this manner, but I drew this: Forbidden Chalice! I select one monster on the field and increase its ATK by 400. Then, its effect is negated until the End Phase. I choose your Yubel!" A magical cup was offered to the fiendish creature, and it drank from it, abruptly gasping and clutching its throat. (ATK: 900) "With its effect no longer a concern, Stygian Sergeants attack!" Time Psyduck
The duel between the two other Dark Signers seemed to have finished, or close enough at any rate. Rin stood up, and walked out of the café. She'd got a good look at both faces, or as good a look as she could, and she figured that it wouldn't be too hard to find them again - after all, there was a good chance that they would be in the tournament tomorrow. Unlike some of the other duelists she'd passed on the streets earlier, she was already prepared for the tournament, having known the correct date before the announcement. Still, she figured it would soon be getting late, so she'd better return, and besides, if she stayed too long her escort might do something problematic. MrThatUnKewl
"Ohohoho. You've finished me! My life is over!!!!" Maldito said sarcastically. "My fate is but done- oh wait, there was nothing riding on that duel!" Maldito rushed to his Duel Runner. "Vroom, vroom, let's ride!" said the Duel Runner. "Vroom vroom, I have no idea how you're talking." Maldito yelled to his runner. He turned to the Dark Signer. "My friend and ally, my name is Maldito! We shall meet again in the future!" With that he drove off. 'To the tournament!'
evilfusion
Lily raised an eyebrow as the other Dark Signer left. Okay, say it with me everyone. What the hell was that about? The holograms faded away as the duel ended and she deactivated her Disk, calmly replacing her deck in its corresponding deck box. "Such a strange one that was. No matter. I know there's at least one other like me, and perhaps more...if he's going to the tournament, I may find more of my colleagues there." She turned away and walked from the cafe, as if nothing remotely unusual had happened there. She was given hope that once the tournament began, she would not be alone in her pursuit to satisfy her last desires. It was death that had taken her future life away...her young, promising life. She lived still, practically a living shell, desiring little more than to pay her dues to Uru for granting her wish...and actually have it granted. Dementuo
Leuneth was looking out at the city from atop a tall skyscraper. "This world... Why have I been brought back to it? All I can remember from that day..." Leuneth pulled out a card. Earthbound God Aslla Pisca. "...Is this card..." Leuneth put the card back, and looked down at his arm. "...And this mark..." Leuneth said to himself. "...Now then..." Leuneth looked back at the city. "The Death God returned from Hell... Where have I heard that before...? ...Bah. It does not matter to me..." Leuneth said to himself. Leuneth looked down at his arm. The mark of the Hummingbird had started glowing. "...So...There is another with this mark... Interesting..." Leuneth walked off the roof and down to the bottom of the skyscraper. He wandered through the city for a short time, until he noticed someone walking down a crowded street. "...There... So she's the one..." Leuneth began to approach her.
Merci
While heading back, Zeta noticed the presence of others. But he knew that they were natural, unlike he who was artificial. He decided to ignore them though. He can see them later soon enough. Sure enough, they might be able to sense him, but that didn't matter. Let those bored bored, and let those curious curious. As he head back, he took out his deck and began arranging it, while careful to not let anyone see him as he handled his Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca and Dark Synchro and Tuner monsters. He was also careful to not think anything Jaden would never, ever think in his life, because that would just make him unstable again.
evilfusion
Lily had been on her way to her apartment, where she would then await the tournament's beginning, and whatever travel arrangements that needed to be made. Her mind on the prospects of triumphing there, she did not immediately notice anything unusual until her arm burned for a moment, forcing her attention away from the hunger in her heart. She paused a moment, glancing at the arm where the Spider's mark lay, concealed by her sleeve of her shirt, and then cast a look around. Like a compass, the mark throbbed once she was facing the proper direction, and she saw another person walking towards her. It was not the same person as before, so she at first was going to dismiss it as just another duelist, but something seemed...different, intriguing about him. "May I help you?" she asked with a slightly cool tone.
Dementuo
"..." Leuneth said nothing at first, when the woman before him turned around to face him. "...You bear a mark like I do..." Leuneth said. "...You...You have died...As well... And have been reborn..." Leuneth said rather quietly. "..." Leuneth thought for a moment. "...Come with me...I must talk with you...About that mark...On your arm..." Leuneth said, this time a bit louder. "...Hmph...Could this girl possess the same powers as me...? Could she be another death god...Or does she even have those powers...?" Leuneth thought.
evilfusion
Lily frowned. "And who might you be?" she asked suspiciously. If he thought she was just going to walk with himhe without knowing anything about him, or how he knew the things he did, then he had another thing coming. Even though her mark throbbed in his presence, she was not convinced. The man she had dueled had claimed to bear a mark like hers, and had also known of her connection with an Earthbound Immortal. "And must you speak like that?" she asked, mildly annoyed by his frequent pauses in speech.
Dementuo
"...Hmph...For one who has already been through death's door...You seem to have a lot of energy..." Leuneth said. "...Then again... I suppose it would be different...For someone like me...Someone who guards such a door..." Leuneth pulled out a card. "...Tell me...How did your first life end...?" Leuneth handed Lily the card. It was Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu. "...You have such a card as well...Correct...? That which you owe your life to? ..." Leuneth asked. "...That which saved you...And granted you a second life...?"
evilfusion
"Hm, of course," Lily mused, studying the card. Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu... she reached into her deck box and with her free hand, withdrew the Spider Immortal, and compared the cards side by side. She handed the Hummingbird Immortal back and answered with a slightly sardonic edge. "Car accident. A while back." She showed him Uru's card, but kept it firmly in her own hand. "I doubt it's as dramatic as yours, but it's not a contest, is it? So what it is you want or need from me? If you want to speak, then there's a better place for it." Dementuo
"...I..." Leuneth began, taking Aslla back. "...I wish to ask you...Why is it that you have returned...?" Leuneth asked. "...Of course...You are correct...This is not the place..." Leuneth said. "...You may decide where this will continue..." Leuneth put Aslla back into his deck box. "...I might as well tell you...I died...At the Nazca Ruins...Where they originated..." Leuneth said. "...Now then...Do you know of a place where we may talk in...heh heh...'peace'...?" Leuneth attempted to hide a small chuckle. "...Ah, forgive me...I haven't even introduced myself...I am Leuneth...What would your name be...?" Leuneth asked. Leuneth said, as he pulled out his deck, and his Duel Disk. "...I am the Death God returned from hell. Death Gods don't did..." Leuneth said. "Now then...You may have the first move..." evilfusion
"Oh, that's a rich idea," Lily deadpanned. "Why don't you two, who are on the same side, fight each other to the death and offer the loser's soul to your Immortal? That will just be such a productive use of your abilities, taking out your own allies. I mean, it's not like we could work together to acheive our goals or something stupid like that. No, let's take the logical approach and wipe each other out and then be outnumbered 5 to 1 against our real opponents." She rolled her eyes. "Dimwit males," she scoffed.
