A single drop of sweat ran down the side of Max's face. "(That was a close call.... Ven is a really good duelist, and while I'm doing my best to hold my own against him, he's calmly stacking up traps while keeping me on my toes with that Wisel moster of his.... This guy's not an ordinary duelist.... He's something else.... Something beyond top-knotch....)" Max thought to himself. "Since it's the end of your turn, my Max Warrior's ATK returned to normal. My turn!" Max drew his card along with both duelists' speed counter increasing by one once again. "I'm summoning Rapid Warrior to the field in attack mode!" A blue, streamline robot appeared on the field. It was evident that this monster was built for speed. I'm activating the speed spell Potential Energy! I can only activate this card when I have three or more speed counters! Now I can reduce the ATK of one of my monsters to zero and have another monster on my field gain that amount of ATK until the end of my turn. At the end of my turn, the monster that had its ATK reduced will gain it back. I select my Max Warrior to reduce its ATK to zero and give it to Rapid Warrior!"

A blue light shot towards Rapid Warrior from Max Warrior [RW(ATK:3000/DEF:200)]. "I'll also activate Rapid Warrior's special ability which allows it to attack you directly this turn! Now, without futher delay, Rapid Warrior attack him directly!" Upon command, Rapid Warrior dashed towards Ven with incredible speed, passing Wisel along its way.

Kirin walked away from the duel, mumbling "I can't waste time here watching". He took out a small board from his bag, pressed a button, threw it into the air, and it expanded into a duel board. Kirin jumped up, landing on the board, and started roaming the streets again. Eventually, he rode off towards the Great Highway, where he came face to face with a man cloaked in white. At that moment, Kirin's right arm glowed red, and he abruptly stopped his duel board. He looked up. "Hello" he said slyly with a smile. "And who might you be?" he asked, clutching his arm.

"Heh, you still are the best duelist I know, Akarui! Alright, I'll halve the attack of yor Stardust Dragon, and then I'll end my turn." Strata said, as Stardust Dragon's ATK went down to 1250. "Hopefully, I can hold him off until next turn..." Strata thought. "And then... I'll be able to use my own beast." Strata thought through the next couple of turns. "With Stardust as it is now, it will only be able to target my Solar Rays. And since I have Dusk out on the field... I'll be able to summon not only Black Feather, but also that other one..." Strata thought.

Sven looked at Kirin. "I'm Sven. You... You posses a birthmark, no? If so..." Sven lowered a hand to his deck, which remained inside of his duel disk, which was currently attached to his D-Wheel. "...Then I will ask you to duel me. I would like to test your skills. So... What say you? Have you the courage to face me?" Sven said, darkly. "This kid... He won't win so long as he relies on the Synchro. If he does, that is. If he doesn't, then I have no reason to fight him." Sven thought.

"My name is Kirin. I'm not interested in dueling. In fact, I don't even like dueling" Kirin explained. "but...you seem to know something about this birthmark..." he eyed Sven. "and for that sole purpose, I'll give it a shot" Kirin's Duel Board activated as a line of energy connected his duel disk to it. He rode his duel board onto the highway and took out one of his decks. "Well, then....shall we begin?" he asked as he drew his cards. "I'll start" he said as he drew a card from his deck. "Meet Lonefire Blossom!" he called. "Now, my Blossom's effect will activate! I'm tributing it to Special Summon Tytannial, Princess of Camellias from my deck!" Kirin declared as a giant, red flower protruded from the ground, blossoming into a monster. "I'll place two cards face-down and end my turn..." Kirin ended.

"I activate Fiendish Chain!" Ven said, his Trap flipping up. Chains lashed out from the card and coiled tightly around Rapid Warrior, pinning it in place and halting its attack. "This Trap Card not only keeps your monster from attacking, it also negates its effect." He chuckled quietly, slowly increasing his speed until he was almost level with Max.

"You fight well, but it seems I'm still one step ahead of you," he chuckled.

"My turn!" Ven said, pulling a card from his deck and smirking. "I set a card facedown. Now, it's about time you experienced another level of my Machine Emperor's power! I activate Speed Spell- High Speed Crash! When I have two or more Speed Counters, I can destroy one card on my field, and one other card on the field! I choose to destroy my Wisel Attack and your Fortress Warrior!"

The Spell glowed, a faint aura surrounding the Max's Warrior and Wisel's left arm, threatening to destroy them.

Both cards exploded and Ven's smirk widened. "With Wisel Attack gone, Machine Emperor Wisel loses 1200 ATK points, but I'll replace it with Wisel Attack 3!" In place of the ordinary robot arm, another one appeared, larger and with a much larger blade to it. (Lvl 3, 1600/0)

Like the one before it, the arm fused with the Machine Emperor's body and its eyes gleamed menacingly upon receiving the upgrade. (ATK: 2900)

"I activate Speed Spell Double Summon. This will allow me to, while I have at least 2 Speed Counters, summon two monsters this turn. Then, I will summon Grand Core!" A small, mechanic orb-shaped object appeared. "Now I activate Speed Spell Soul Exchange. This will allow me to tribute your Tytannial for my Kuraz, the Light Monarch. Now for his effect." Kuraz appeared as Tytannial faded from the field. "O select up to two cards, and destroy those cards. Then, the controllers of those cards draw a card for each. I'll destroy Grand Core, letting me draw a card." Grand Core was destroyed, and then five small machine parts appeared. Kuraz was destroyed as well. "When Grand Core is destroyed, I destroy every monster on my field..." Sven said.

"...And summon these."

"Grannel Attack." A small fish-looking robot appeared. (ATK 1300/ DEF 0)

"Grannel Guard." Another fish-looking bot. (ATK 500/ DEF 1000)

"Grannel Carrier." A strange pod-type object. (ATK 700/ DEF 700)

"Grannel Top." One more fish. (ATK 500/ DEF 0)

"And Machine Emperor Grannel Infinity." A small pod with two holes in the center. "Now, witness the creation of the Machine Emperor! I merge every part of Grannel!" The parts of Grannel transformed and combined, creating a large machine. A small sphere appeared in the chest. "The original ATK of Grannel is equal to my half of my Life Total, making it 4000." Grannel glowed a deep tiel color, and its ATK raised from 0 to 4000. "Now, I set 3 cards, and end my turn."

"You seem to be forgetting my Tytannial's ability. Since your Soul Exchange card targets a monster, I can simply Tribute it and negate your card effect" Kirin explained as Tytannial exploded, taking down the remnants of the Soul Exchange as well. "Now, where were we?" Kirin asked. "Ah, yes...you just wasted all your Speed Counters trying to pull off that combo" Kirin said calmly. "Now, please continue your turn, unless, of course, you have nothing left..." Kirin continued, his face becoming more emotionless as the duel continued. "This is getting boring...winning or losing...it's all the same..." Kirin thought...

"Don't think that I would be avoided so easily. I activate one of my Quick-Play Speed Spells, Overshot. I negate the effects of a face-Up monster card, and then add 2 Speed Counters." Tytannial still was sacrificed. "I will not be beaten so easily. Grannel will remain here, and you will fall." Sven said. "To me, you are nothing more than a small fish in a vast ocean." Sven said. "When a body dies, another is born. So life goes on. When a spirit ceases to exist, another is manifested, brought into being. So life goes on. When a mind fails, another succeeds. So life goes on. So on and so forth, through the never-ending circle of life than ensnared us, keepin us from the one true freedom, death." Sven recited. "This is the message that God has given me, and I shall fufill what must pass."

"Well, to respond to that, I activate my trap, Pollinosis..." Kirin raised a hand as a trap card appeared. "In case you don't know, my Pollinosis trap card lets me Tribute a plant-type monster to negate the activation of any card. Therefore, I use it to negate your Speed Spell - Overshot" The card shattered and Tytannial continued its explosion. Now all that was left on Sven's side of the field was his Grand Core. However, Kirin didn't smile nor frown. "And also, regarding your little comment, I don't care if I fall..." he explained, emotionless as ever in a duel. "Honestly...these people take winning way too seriously..." Kirin thought, sighing.

"Oh my, whatever shall I do? I know, I'll do nothing!" Maldito smirked. "It seems you have me a bit choked. I'm a bit impressed... oh wait, I'm a dirty liar! Time for a chain! Trap, activate! Seven Tools of the Bandit" Maldito revealed his third trap! With this, I can pay 1000 Life Points to negate and Destroy your Trap Stun!" (Response?)

"If no, then when a counter trap I control negates one of your activations, I can Special Summmon Van'Dalgyon, The Dark Dragon Lord (Dragon/DARK/2800/2500)! And His effect activates, destroying one card you control! I select your face-down monster card! Not to mention he gets the boost from Mystic Plasma Zone!(ATK2800-3200/DEF2500-2100)"(Response?)

"...Very well." Sven said. "If you believe such things, then I will show you the history of what has passed." Sven said. "Look up there." Sven pointed to the sky. The every bottom of what appeared to be a massive, floating island was just barely visible. "You will not have to worry about such a thing just yet, but it will be the cause of your destruction. Since I still have 2 Speed Counters, I active the Speed Spell Inverse Reload. I destroy a card on the field by removing 2 Speed Counters, and destroy one of my own. Then, we each draw a card. And just so you know, even if you tried to stop this card, I could keep it going by paying 1000 of my Life Points. I'll destroy my Grand Core, and your Face-Down." Grand Core, as well as the face-down, exploded, and Grannel had finally appeared. Sven drew his card. "Now that your field is clear, Grannel! Direct Attack!"

Lily nodded as her Trap Stun cracked apart, and only showed mild surprise when the Dragon appeared, which focused upon her facedown monster. In an explosion of pixels, the card revealed itself momentarily to have been a creature bound in bandages. "That was Grave Squirmer, in case you were wondering," she told him with a shrug. "It was not destroyed in battle, so its effect doesn't matter."

She gazed at the other cards in her hand. "I summon Phantom Skyblaster!" A hunched over fiend appeared, its red eyes gleaming. (Lvl 4, 1100/800) "When Skyblaster is Normal Summoned, I can Special Summon Skyblaster tokens up to the number of monsters I control. I have two monsters, so I get two tokens." Two almost identical creatures to the Skyblaster appeared, but they were all gray as opposed to Skyblaster's blue and gray. (Lvl 4, 500/500) x2. "Since all of them are DARK monsters, your field spell affects them." (1600/400), (1000/100) x2

"Man, you people are too...competetive" Kirin muttered as Grannel launched it's attack. Then, a barrier appeared and blocked the attack. "My face-down, Speed Spell - Flash Guard, activates when it's destroyed. Then, I am forced to remove 1 or more Speed Counters, and this card blocks one attack this turn for each Counter I remove, and I choose to remove one. Now, I can stop your attack. Finally, I get to draw a card" Kirin said, picking up a card from his deck. "Well, what now?" Kirin asked, not the slight bit amused.

Raven smiled as the duel played out. "They have some nice combos. I might have to upgrade my deck alittle." He said as he sat down on the roof. "Now let's see. I need this card. And this one....hm..." He said as he rearranged his deck. He then got up and walked to the nearest card shop. He bought some cards. "Nice I need these cards." He said with a smirk. "I won't lose that easily now. Hahahaha!" He said as he walked back to the roof and sat down again.

[Master of The Dark]

Meko could feel two other dark signers having a duel but couldn't find them he as woundering around the city looking for them After surching for three or four hours he found them but sat on top of a roof to watch the duel unfold. "Nice very nice, Lets see how the hold up against one another." As he sat he got borad and started whisling and taworling his thumbs after about five minutes this became tiring so he left the roof and found an opponent about a block away from the building he just left. "You there I chellenge you to a duel no get yourself ready." He spoke fast he finished be for he even had his cards in his hand to load them.

"I'll start."He said as he drew. "I'll summon my [spoiler=Dark Fairy Loudica][img]http://img830.imageshack.us/img830/9404/198311z.jpg[/img][spoiler= Lore] When this card destroys an opponents monster by battle you can destroy and remove from play one spell or trap card on your opponents side of the field[/spoiler][/spoiler] and play two face down cards." The kid Meko chellenged had never really been in a duel with some one so sure of themselves. "Come on kid you'r going to lose no matter what I'm the best there has ever been. So you have no chance." "I I I I I I I'll play my Armed dragon LV3 and equped it with Dragon treasure then I'll attack." The kid spoke slow and unsure. "I play my sakuretsu armor, and macro cosmos allowing my to summon my Helios - the primordial sun. Do you end your turn?" "Yes, I end my turn." After about ten more turn meko played his Second dary ace card. "I summon my Demon king - Lusifer and finish off your Life Points with one direct attack.

Meko then returned to the roof and looked at a small sketch book he had in his pocket and started to sketch a duel runner he got half way through the drawing and then crumbled it up and started a new one.

[The White Wolf]

Akarui drew his card, he didn't look at it. He was hoping for something that would save Stardust Dragon... his eyes widened at the card he drew "I play the spell card! Synchro Blast Wave! I destroy your Sirroco!" Akarui declared as Stardust Dragon fired a Stardust Flare at Sirroco the Dawn, destroying it. "Now! I activate the effect of Metal the Savior in my graveyard, by removing it from play, one monster on the field gains 1000 attack points until the end of this turn." Akarui explained as Stardust's attack points went up by 1000 [ATK: 1250 -> 2250] "Stardust Dragon! Attack his Gale the Whirlwind with Cosmic Flare!"

"I end my turn." Akarui stated with a smirk, Strata not knowing of the other Metal the Savior in his graveyard.

"Urgh... I'm close to losing... No, not yet." Strata thought, as his Life Points dropped down to 350. "My Turn, Draw!" Strata looked at the card he had just drawn. "Yes, it's finally here!" Strata thought. "I tribute my Flare the Solar Rays, and my Dusk the Lunar Storm!" The two monsters faded. "By doing this, I can Special Summon Whitewing - Umbra, the Total Eclipse!" A large bird with a spear in one hand, and a shield in the other appeared. The shield looked like half a moon and half a sun. "His effect! When he's Special Summoned this way, I remove from play every monster in my opponent's Graveyard! And, as an added bonus, I can revive a 'Blackwing' monster from my Graveyard!" Gale reappeared on the field. "One more thing! By removing a Whitewing monster from my own grave, I can add it's level and ATK to another Blackwing monster I control! I remove Flare from my grave, and add 1 level and 400 points to Bora! Now then..." Strata explained as Bora grew in power. "I'm tuning my level 3 Gale the Whirlwind with my level 5 Bora the Spear!" Gale burst into three green rings, and Bora flew through them. "[i]Darkened gales, become the wings that soar from resolved hope![/i]" Bora burst into five white stars, and light engulfed both Bora and Gale. "[i]Synchro Summon!! Soar high, Black Feather Dragon!!![/i]" Black Feather Dragon emerged from the light. "I activate the effect of my Umbra! When I Synchro Summon using Blackwing Tuner, I take Life Point damage equal to that tuner monster's level times 100." Strata's life remained the same. "At this moment, I activate the effect of Black Feather Dragon! When I would take effect damage, I decrease Black Feather Dragon's ATK by the same amount instead!" One of Black Feather's wings turned black. "Now, I activate Black Feather Dragon's second effect! Once per turn, I can return his ATK to normal, and have one of your monster lose the same amount of ATK that Black Feather Dragon lost!" Strata explained, as the black feather turned white again. "Now, Black Feather Dragon! Attack Stardust Dragon! [color=red][b]Nova Stream!![/b][/color]"

You said it yourself, you think that I am 'too competitave', but m question is: If I am, then why are you competing as well?" Sven asked. "What purpose do you believe that you have, if any?"

Max gave a smirk when he saw the activation of Ven's trap card. "Not so fast! I activate from my hand my Mystical Binder Mech's special ability! You see I can only activate this card's effect when its the battle phase, regardless if it's yours or mine! My Mystical Binder Mech's special ability allows me to cancle the effect of your trap or spell, in this case trap, and stops you from activating any more spells or traps until the end of the turn. However, as a payoff, I'll have to remove my Mech from play and pay 800 LP!" Max explained as his LP dropped by 800 points [LP: 4000-3200]. "And since your trap has been cancled, my Rapid Warrior can continue on with his assault!" Rapid Warrior continued its path towards Ven.

"Very well...I activate Wisel Guard's effect!" Ven stated calmly. "When my opponent's monster attacks, I can make Wisel Guard the target of the attack instead!"

The Machine Emperor flung out its right arm into Rapid Warrior's path, the arm exploding upon contact and leaving the Emperor one arm short. "As you can clearly see, Wisel Guard's 1200 DEF was no match for your Warrior's ATK, but it kept my lifepoints safe, did it not?" Ven accelerated slightly, his cloak flapping in the wind. "No matter your tricks, the Machine Emperor is not to be overcome. Wisel Guard had 0 ATK, so its destruction does not faze its offense. Do you have anything to add?"

Max's eyes widened with surprise as the guard was destroyed instead. "Wh-what the?.... Heh, Ven, your monsters really are something amazing huh? This is my first time seeing such monsters, and I'm rather surprise at its abilities. I wonder what else does that monster have in store for me? Alright Ven, I don't have much I can do so I'll end things with a face down and let you take your turn!" Max said as he placed a face down card and looked at Ven. "(Just when I think I got him, he has something to counter it. You really are something Ven.)" Max thought to himself with a smile.

"I summon Wisel Guard 3!" he stated, slapping a new card on his green-light field, in the spot once occupied by his Wisel Guard. Another metal piece appeared, expanding into another arm, except with a larger shield-like piece on the side. (Lvl 3, 0/2000) The new arm then crackled with electricity and fused with the Machine Emperor's body.

"Machine Emperor Wisel, attack Rapid Warrior!"

"Sorry, but I'm afraid I can't let you do that! Do you remember the trap Miracle Beacon that I used earlier? Well, now I'm activating its second ability, by removing Miracle Beacon from play my Rapid Warrior won't be going anywhere! However, I still take damage from the battle involving our two monsters!" The attack from Wisel decreased Max's LP even more [LP: 3200-1900]. "But that's a small price to pay for keeping my Rapid Warrior on the field for when I need him. (I can't afford to lose my current monsters.... But I'm running out of options here.... I'll just have to do what I can for now....)" Max thought to himself as a sweat drop can be seen from the side of his face.

"Yes, yes, all that jazz. Still, it don't mean a thing." Maldito said as he drew. "You ain't got that swing. Here I come, Star Blast! Here's how this card works. I pay a multiple of 500 life points, then reduce a Monster's level in my hand by that multiple. I pay 1500 Life Points and then Normal Summon Diabolos, King of the Abyss!" (Lv7/Dark/2800A/1000D) Maldtio said as he summoned his second monstrous dragon to the field. "Of course, With Mystic Plasma Zone, things change a bit." (3300ATK/600DEF)

"Both of my Dragons attack! Van'Dalgyon, then Diabolos! Destroy the Phantom Sky Blaster and Stygian Street Patrol."

"Very interesting," Ven mused. [i]He seems to focus on preventing his monsters from being destroyed and his Spell and Trap lineup manipulates his ATK scores often. But for what purpose? He hasn't played any Tuner monsters, but they could be preserved for Synchro Summons. I'll have to keep on my toes. As thought, this is a fun duel.[/i] He accelerated past Max, grinning, the shadow of his Machine Emperor passing over the other duelist.

"Show me what else you have, I look forward to it," he said. "I set a card facedown! This ends my turn!"
