"My turn, Draw!" Strata said as he drew. He looked over the field."I have a face-down... As well as these 3 cards... Then he has a set
monster, and a face-down of his own. Alright... With these 3 cards, and my face-down, I should be able to get a good amount of damage in this turn, if I play my cards right..." Strata thought. "Since you have a monster out on the field, I can summon my Blackwing, Sirroco the Dawn without a tribute!" Strata declared, as the bird-esque humanoid monster appeared.

"Whoa!" Zeta said. "You summoned a strong monster without any sacrifices. . . that kind of reminds me of Cyber Dragon. Even so, it most likely won't be able to damage me! I have a set monster, and even if you manage to destroy it, that's done. I get no damage at all." Even so, Zeta was suspicious, as any natural duelist would be. I wonder what's he planning. . . He can't honestly expect that monster to be useful. . . unless it has an effect. . . .? What is it?

"You may have a set monster, but my Black Feather and White Feather cards share a bond with eachother. And this one isn't easily broken!" Strata said. "Now, because I control a Blackwing monster, I can Special Summon Whitewing, Gale the Updraft (ATK: 1100)!" Strata said as a second monster appeared next to the first.
(Response?)
"Letting you know, Gale the Updraft is treated as a Blackwing monster while it's face-up on the field." Strata said."Now, I Special Summon a different Blackwing monster, Bora the Spear!" Strata declared, as a third monster lined up on his field.

While this card is face-up on the field, it is also treated as a "Blackwing" card. If your opponent would activate the effect of a monster, you may remove this card from play to negate the effect of that effect monster and return it to your opponent's hand. Special Summon this card during the End Phase of the turn you activate this effect.
"Just what are you getting at, summoning so many monsters with low attack?" Zeta asked. There had to be an effect to one of them. Or was he gathering monsters for Synchro Summoning. . .? He couldn't tell. He didn't understand Blackwings. He didn't understand any archetype of the future. Everything gets so confusing in the future. And there aren't even anymore normal non-effect monsters in production in the future. It kind of made Zeta sad. "I don't know what you're up to, but it's not going to work."

"You may think that now, but these guys always prevail through the power of their bonds. Your E-Heros remind me a bit of that. By combinig their powers, they prevail over any darkness." Strata said. "Now, I activate the effect of my Sirroco the Dawn! This will allow me to pool the Attack of all my Blackwings into one mosnter! I pick Bora!" Strata said. (ATK: 3800) "Now, Bora! Attack his face-down monster! Black Javelin!" Strata declared, as Bora shot his spear at the face-down monster. "Bora's
effect! Whenever he attacks a monster with lower Defense, you'll take piercing damage!" Strata explained.

The set monster revealed itself to be Elemental Hero Clayman (DEF 2000). It exploded and then that left Zeta with 6200 Life Points. "Fine, I activate my trap card, Hero Signal! Whenever an Elemental Hero monster I control is destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard, I can Special Summon another Elemental Hero from my hand or deck! Go, Elemental Hero Bubbleman!" And a man in weird blue armor appeared (DEF 1200). "When Elemental Hero Bubbleman is Summoned, and when I have no other card in my hand or on the field, I can draw two cards from my deck!" Zeta then drew two cards from his deck.

"That's fine by me. I'll end my turn, seeing as I've got nothing else to do." Strata said. "Ugh... I've got no cards in my hand again. That's how I lost last time. If only I'd drawn Black Whirlwind, then my hand wouldn't be so depleted..." Strata thought. "Still, I have the advantage, with more powerful monsters than he does. And if I play my cards right... Then even if he summons a powerful monster, I can still get out my Black Feather Dragon next turn..." Strata thought. "But I'm getting a strange aura from this guy... He's got something dark with him. It's somehow... Familiar. This feeling of uneasiness... But where is it coming from?" Strata thought.

"Hey! You know I can hear you from over here, right? Draw!" Zeta asked. He drew his card and checked his hand. "I have pretty good cards! I activate Pot of Greed to draw two cards from my deck!" Zeta drew two more cards from his deck. "I Summon Elemental Hero Avian (ATK 1000)! And finally, I activate Double Summon so I can have an extra monster summon! I tribute Elemental Hero Bubbleman and Elemental Hero Avian....." And then....

"Black hope and black earth, heed thy call! I command ye as the prince of darkness to come and bring forth the Armageddon! Show this blackbird what flight truly means! Come forth! Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca!"

The monsters disappeared, and were replaced by something very, VERY massive (ATK 100). It looked like an enormous entirely-black Condor with violet lines running through it in patterns. Meanwhile, the Nasca line of the Condor appeared and surrounded Zeta and Strata. "By the way, I'm going to make your grave, so don't worry. Sorry about this." The massive Condor suddenly burst out a laser that hit somewhere nearby Strata, though not as close as the one with Dante, inflicting 800 points of damage onto him AND increasing the Condor's attack by 800 (ATK 900). "I can't do anything else. I was reckless in summoning it this time. It's going to be the downfall of me, the recklessness of the influence of it. . . ."

Strata looked in awe at the Condor looming above him, as his life points decreased. "Urgh... There's more of these things?!" Strata said. "But this one seems... Different from the last." Strata thought. "Alright, my turn, Draw! I activate Allure of Darkness!" Strata said.
(Response?)
"This will let me draw two cards, so long as I remove another card! I'll remove... Blackwing, Kalut the Moon Shadow." Strata said. "Now, since I control another Blackwing monster, I can Special Summon Blackwing- Gale the Whirlwind!" Strata said.

Ven rubbed his chin thoughtfully, admiring the viewpoint portal. "Well well...looks like the former Stardust duelist isn't completely out of the game, is he?" he mused, watching Akarui's struggles. "How did he fall off a cliff?" he wondered aloud. Shaking himself. "No matter, he has one loss on his record and now wields a different dragon. I could face him personally if we wanted to take him out completely, though...he may not get an evolved dragon, but it would take another Signer out of the running..."

--

Lily continued to observe the duel between Zeta and the other Signer, but Uru's presence soon forced her to focus elsewhere. The Immortal was still hungry...longing for a fight with another duelist, and hopefully to claim a soul this time. Sighing, but not surprised, Lily swept off the observation balcony to seek an opponent, one the Spider Immortal would be satisfied with. From Leuneth's remark, she suspected that most, if not all, the Signers had a mere one loss remaining, and so she'd have no qualms about feeding the disgraced duelist's soul to her Immortal.

But where to find such a duelist?

Sven chuckled. "That is true, Ven, that is true. However, we know not of which dragon he possesses. If he were to hold Red Demon's Dragon, then we would be clear to destroy him. However, should he hold Ancient Fairy Dragon, then we would not have a fourth evolution. Red Demon's Dragon has already evolved quite a few times. However, the Ancient Fairy Dragon has not. Then, there is another matter to think of. Only the Stardust user has ever been able to defeat us. Now that he has lost his mark, he has become of more value to us than he ever was before." Sven said. "However, these marks are rather eratic... They could movable again at any time. But, if the time comes where, he once again recieves the Dragon Head Mark, then he shall become worthless, and we shall dispose of him. However, that is only an if." Sven said.

-MEANWHILE-

"You let that thing control you, and you'll die before you can even realize you're already dead." Leuneth said, still watching the duel. "I see it in you. Your Immortal hungers for souls already." Leuneth said. "...You're weak to let it control you like that." Leuneth continued. "You're only a means to an end for your Immortal, if you let it control you. Not the other way around." Leuneth said.

Zeta had sensed Leuneth somehow. He heard him. He heard a fellow Dark Signer, one which is original, say that. He turned to Strata. "My name is Zeta Yuki. I am a clone from a hundred years ago created by an insane scientist, imbued with the dust remains of the Dark Signer Rex Goodwin! I am the clone of Jaden Yuki himself! I am the clone of one of the three most powerful duelists in the world! Nothing has power over me! I foresee the next card I'll draw! When I draw it, I shall win this duel! Unless you can somehow inflict 6200 points of damage on me in this one turn, of course! Wiraqocha Rasca cannot be attacked, you see, and that means you can attack me directly. I was careless just now. Jaden Yuki dueled with his heart, but if I duel with mine, then Wiraqocha Rasca would control me, and it's weaker than me in dueling. The next card I draw will end this duel. Try your best hit, Signer!"

Someone tapped Akarui on the shoulder. Behind him was a woman with red hair with black streaks styled into 3 fins on either side, a golden eye and a blue eyes, and a beautiful face. She was wearing a black and red leather jumpsuit with a black sleeveless trenchcoat over it. On each of her upper arms lay three belts with the end sticking out like spikes, while a gold and emerald amulet rested around her neck. She was sitting on a red and black Duel Runner whose wheels were out to the sides, acting as thrusters and allowing her to fly.
"Excuse me, but do you need some help?" She asked the young man.

"Well, since I can attack directly, all I need to do is get a monster with high enough Attack out. Since I control Sirroco, that's no problem." Strata thought. "But what's this about Signers? Well, I still should have enough power to blow through his Lofe Points... Let's see..." Strata thought. "2000...3700...5000...6100?! Just one hundred points off?! Damn... I can't hold back a thing like that! And if I know correctly, then it'll be able to attack directly..." Strata thought. "No... I have no choice." Strata thought. "By the effect of my Sirroco the Dawn, I can pool the Attack of every Blackwing monster in play to another Blackwing monster I control! I'll pool it onto Bora, and then I'll attack you directly!" Strata said, as Bora became surounded by a black aura, flew up towards Wrasca, and flew right through it, heading down towards Zeta. "It won't defeat you but you'll only just barely survive. And that means that come my next turn, I'll be able to attack once more and win!" Strata said.

"Nah." Akarui stated, the rope slowly retracting and pulling him up. Once he reached the top, he pulled out his deck and looked through the cards "!!!" Akarui was in shock, he could not believe what he had been seeing, he dropped his whole deck to the ground and fell backwards, unconscious.

-Dream World-

Akarui was dreaming about his Stardust Dragon, how it first appeared before him. It then screeched in terror and was covered in shadows, it changed form, but that form was hidden within the shadows. Akarui's eyes were filled with fear as he saw this "!!!!!! NOOOOOOO!" he screamed, unable to stop his beloved Stardust Dragon from changing.

The woman shrugged and flew up to the man, who lay unconscious. She decided to not leave him lying on the ground, next to a cliff, so she picked him up and put him into her Duel Runner, making sure he was secure.
"Red Riding, Listen." She told the Duel Runner.
"Voice Command Mode activated. Awaiting voice commands." The Duel Runner spoke back in a voice eerily similar to the woman's own.
"No Hands."
"Personal force fields active. Autopilot engaged."
"Holler."
"Voice Command Driving Mode engaged."
"Ladies and Gentlemen."
"Engines online and powering up."
The woman leaps onto the Duel Runner, holding onto the machine.
"Retrace."
"Following previous route."
The Duel Runner, with Akarui on it, sped towards the stadium.

Zeta suffered the damage. He had only 100 life points left. "You have lost! My turn, draw!" And he drew his card. He was surprised. "What.....? The Heart of the Cards! It told me that. . . . It lied to me! The Heart of the Cards, of all things, has ABANDONED me!" He screamed. He swore for a moment in a very un-Jaden-like way, before regaining himself. "I hate you! I hate this stupid tournament! Wiraqocha Rasca, kill him! Who cares if your ATK isn't high enough?! Blow him to bits and then he can't retaliate! Go, Wiraqocha Rasca!" And the being launched a laser at Strata, directly, staying true to Zeta's command.

Ven raised an eyebrow at Sven. He didn't quite follow the other man's explanation as it seemed to be all over the place. Therefore, he had no reason to acknowledge those points. He turned his attention back to the viewpoint. "Then I suppose we should just wait," he said. As loath as he was to sit and do nothing, there were few superior options. They had lost contact with their agent, and Ven was confident that whatever Sven had attempted to correct the Immortals' appearances had wiped the traces of their agent away. They had lost contact around that time. After Sven himself was defeated, they only had one loss left among the three of them, and Ven fully intended to be the one to duel for that loss, especially if their new Emperor had been given the option first and declined it.

---

"I'm well aware," Lily responded. "Yet the Spider has a point. I've had my tournament break and I should return to the scene now. You've had three duels and I've had two. Can't fall behind now, can I?" And with that, she swept from the area, returning to the main floor and letting her gaze scan the room. The number of remaining duelists had dwindled, it seemed, and with that in mind, she expected the finals would be approaching soon. Plenty of duelists still remained, a number of them being her allies. At least three, by last count.

"...Fine...If that's what you believe will keep you from that road." Leuneth said to himself. "Now this looks interesting..." Leuneth thought, watching Zeta become a little more violent. "If he doesn't keep himself calm, then he'll lose..." Leuneth thought. "...A fine display of my point... He's losing control to the Immortal..." Leuneth thought.

-MEANWHILE-

"When you attack, I activate this card!" Strata said, hitting a button on his Duel Disk. His last face-down flipped up. "Wings of Resolve!" Strata declared. "I can activate this card when your monster declares an attack!" Strata said as Gale and Bora rose into the air. "By this card's effect, I send a Blackwing Tuner and a Blackwing non-Tuner to my grave. Then, I can Synchro Summon a Blackwing Synchro monster, or my Black Feather Dragon!" Strata said, as Bora and Gale burst into stars and rings of white light. "Darkened Gales, become the wings that soar from resolved hope! Synchro Summon! Soar, Black Feather Dragon!" Strata declared, as his mark began glowing again, and his ace appeared. "Now the second effect of Wings of Resolve! This forces your monster to attack the monster I just summoned!" Strata said, as the laser passed by Strata, and whirled around towards Black Feather Dragon. "Since his Attack is only 1700 (I'm adding the effect decrease here), your Earthbound Immortal will be destroyed, and you'll lose!" Strata said.
Quick-Play Spell
When your opponent's monster declares an attack, and you control a "Blackwing" Tuner monster and a "Blackwing" non-Tuner monster, you may activate this card. Send one "Blackwing" Tuner monster and one "Blackwing" non-Tuner monster to the Graveyard, and Special Summon one "Blackwing" Synchro monster, or a Synchro monster that is named "Black Feather Dragon" (this Special Summon is treated as a Synchro Summon). Zeta's eyes widened. He had never been so careless. The laser failed to destroy the Black Feather Dragon, and then Black Feather Dragon proceeded to retaliate at Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca. Was Black Feather Dragon his Signer Dragon. . .? He swore as the attack hit his Earthbound Immortal. Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca then let out a screech before it disappeared (Zeta LP 0). Zeta was speechless, but he decided to make the best of it. He still had one chance left, after all. And he wasn't going to waste anymore chances. It was time he rearranged his deck. "Gotcha! That was a fun duel!" He exclaimed, with no clue on what else to say or do. He then walked away quietly.

Number 91 watched her attacks connect, and she wiped out her opponent's Life Points in one blow. The onlookers were stunned by the sudden turn of events. She retracted her dueling equipment into her arm, and walked off.

Doctor Xavier Padora grinned as he watched the end of the duel. Surely his finest creation would be able to stop history from repeating itself.

The strange woman pulled into the stadium, and disengaged the forcefields. She gingerly lifted Akarui out of her Duel Runner, and asked. "Akarui...wake up...We're here at the tournament...Wake up, Akarui...Come on...I need you to get up so you can help me..."

Lily caught the end of Zeta's duel and tsked. That was a disappointment, and since she had been monitoring the tournament status, she was similarly aware of the disappearance of several of their allies. And unfortunate occurrence, but she and two of the other Dark Signers still held unblemished records. Uru seemed oddly amused by the Condor Dark Signer's defeat. There was little doubt in Lily's mind that whatever rivalry Uru had with Wiraqocha Rasca was not going to be something brought up any time soon. She needed to find another opponent to amuse herself with.

She soon caught sight of a female duelist and her eyes lit up. It's been a long time since I've faced another female in a duel...such a sad, male-dominated world Duel Monsters is. She strode towards the duelist in question, her red lined robe sweeping behind.

"Hello, miss," she said to Number 91 with subtle undertones of taunting. "Are you available for a duel?"

Number 91 was puzzled by the sudden appearance of the girl. She was even more puzzled by her black sclera. "I would love to duel you ma'am, but we first need to get you to the nearest medical facilities to get someone to examine you." The robot emotionlessly replied. Number 91 then placed two fingers on Lily's neck for a few seconds. "By accessing the local information network, I have determined that you seem to be suffering from several diseases and genetic disorders at once, yet only display some of the symptoms of these maladies. Furthermore, I can detect no pulse or heartbeat. Therefore you must be dead. However, you cannot be dead, since you are standing here, asking me for a duel." Number 91 stays silent for a bit before asking Lily. "Are you owned by a man named Schrodinger?"

There really was only one way Lily could respond to that, and it was in the form of a blank "what?"

Fortunately, she regained her composure quickly, and swatted the arm of the other woman. She did not like to be touched, even if the contact was physically harmless. "I assure you, I am in excellent condition, and do not require any medical attention. For the very reason you mentioned, I would not be standing here if I was dead, and I feel quite fine."

"I imagine an exchange of names would be fitting at this point. I am Lily."

Number 91 is even more puzzled. She diverts more of her processing power to figuring out why this woman is able to walk when she is clinically dead. "I do not have a name. However, I am the 91st of my line, so I guess you could call me Number 91. Or would you like to hear my 169-character serial number?" Number 91 continues. "I apologize for asking if your master was Schrodinger. My master told me about a man named Schrodinger that kept a cat in a box that kept the cat both dead and alive at the same time. I was wondering if your master was Schrodinger or knew Schrodinger, because he might have stuck you inside of a box that made you dead and alive at the same time, like the cat."
