Zextra
"Then what about that Dark Signer?" Ren asked. "He almost seemed to know what was coming...I mean, Dark Synchros..." he chuckled, and swiped out Skiel. "Well, either way, the circuit will be completed soon...but at this rate, the excitement won't last..." Ren mused as he approached the two other emperors. "but on the other hand, those Immortal cards are getting to be a pain...they're so ugly, annoying, and..." he stopped himself from ranting. "Er-hem...Anyways, what do we do now? Sit here and relax while they kill each other?" Ren asked as he grinned sinisterly.
Dementuo
Sven glared at Ren for a second, then at Ven. "Indeed, Ven is right. If the boy were to lose a second time, then he would be removed from thus tournament. Now all we need to do is defeat him. I will not trust anyone other than us three to do so." Sven said. "If you two cannot come to a descision quickly, then I will go and deal with the boy myself." Sven said. "And one thing I noticed about you, Ven. You seem to be a bit forgetful. The boy summoned a level seven as well." Sven noted. "Now then, I shall leave you two to decide who shall deal with the Signer." Sven said. -MEANWHILE- Leuneth had reached the top of the observation platform. He looked at Lily and Nikki. "So you two are still here..." Leuneth said under his breath. He walked towards the large window, and began to stare out it. "The third Signer has fallen. Only two more remain." Leuneth said.
evilfusion
Ven frowned. "Oh right, the effectless level seven, Scrap Archfiend. Which he Tributed to get his combo rolling. Eh, then he Synchroed five times in like five turns. That's incredible, even by most Synchro Turbo decks' standards." He steepled his fingers. "As much as I'd enjoy demonstrating the extent of my anti-Synchro strategy, I'll leave either of you two to the task. We only have one Duel Calculator, so we'd have to go one at a time. That Infernity Dark Signer irks me, somewhat. He uses Synchros and Dark Synchros before turning to his Immortal. The wielder of Uru also uses a Synchro-style, but as she's a catalyst, we have no need to deal with her. The Dark Signers were unexpected aspects of our plan, yes? Then we should not allow them all to wreak havoc unchecked. We need the Signers' power more than the inversions, but the inversions are gaining too much ground." Zextra
"Right...and neither of them have shown themselves..." Nikki explained curtly. "Lily...I needed that talk. Now, until we meet again..." she turned to Leneuth. "Congratulations...you just made our jobs quite a bit easier..." she muttered before she jumped off, rapidly moving towards the station. "Alright...next target...Signer number 4...or whoever else happens to get int he way..." she thought before moving towards an open path... -MEANWHILE- "Right, so the Stardust user must go down right away?" Ren chuckled. "Well, then...I suppose we can go for him before he has a chance to recover from that last duel..." he sneered.
Dementuo
Sven sighed. "Very well, I'll go." Sven said, picking up the Duel Calculator. "That is, of course, you have no objections, Ren?" Sven asked. "I thought not." Sven said, before cutting a rift, and walking through it. The rift vanished behind him. He reappeared in an allyway of sorts, leading to one of the many observation platforms. He looked around for the Signer. "Hmph. This is troublesome." Sven thought. "Not only does this entire place look the same, but no one around here looks like the Signer boy..." Sven looked out around the station, searching for Justin. Eventually, he came to someone who was lying on the ground. "Well, it's about time I found you." Sven thought. He waited for the boy to get up, standing a good four feet away from him. evilfusion
Justin's side ached, even after the duel had ended and his opponent had disappeared. Yet he managed to move and roll to his knees, starting to get up. It was then he noticed someone standing in front of him, clearly waiting for something. "Don't tell me...you want to duel?" he guessed, grunting and pushing himself up. He felt dizzy and disoriented, as if the blows from the duel had lingering side effects. His arm burned a little, but he paid that no attention. "And who are you supposed to be, anyway?" he asked, once he was on his feet. -- Lily nodded. "Good luck...Nikki," she said quietly. In truth, she was concerned for her old friend. If she too was in a state bordering life and death, then the end of the tournament may in fact spell her end as well as her own. The Immortals spared them, but to find peace was much harder. Defeat and failure possibly awaited them all, and only victory in their respective matches brought them closer to relief, rather than hell. Dementuo
"Yes, I do wish to duel you." Sven said. "I am Sven. That... Is all you need to know about me." Sven said. "Now then, we duel." Sven said, activating a duel disk attached to his arm. "I'll start us off. Draw." Sven said, as he drew his six cards, and his Life Point counter reached 8000. "I summon Alpha Wolf." Sven said, as a large beast with an "A" symbol on its forehead appeared in front of him. (ATK: 1500) "Next, I will set four cards, and end my turn." Sven said. Four card holograms appeared behind the wolf. "This shouldn't take long." Sven thought.
evilfusion
"Justin's my name," the Signer said, activating his own Disk in turn. This is it...do or die. If I lose to him, I'll be out of the tournament! "Setting four cards?" Justin repeated, incredulous. Then a look of fierce determination crossed his face. "My turn!" LP: 8000 "I Summon Scrap Beast!" A mechanical beast appeared before him. (Lvl 4, 1600/1300) "Then I'll set a facedown card and attack your Alpha Wolf!" Dementuo
"When you attack Alpha Wolf, I activate my trap card. Sigma Force Testing Grounds. I send Beta Piranah, Delta Bird, and Gamma Snake to my grave, destroy Alpha Wolf, then Summon Sigma Lion." Sven said as he placed the four monsters into his Graveyard, and a fifth monster appeared. (ATK: 1500) "By Sigma Lion's effect, he gains 200 ATK for each of the monsters I have in my grave." Sven said. (ATK:2300) "Of course, this would trigger a Replay Battle. I'm assuming you want to call off this attack?" Sven asked. (Response?) "Well then, I activate my second card. Hex Coding. I send my Omega Dragon and my Zeta Gecko to the grave, and destroy my Sigma Snake to go with them." Sven said, as three more monsters entered his grave. (Response?) "And now, my third card. Hexed Unlock - Infinity Force." Sven said, the seven monsters in his grave appeared. "By removing the seven Hex monsters in my grave; Alpha, Beta, Delta, Gamma, Sigma, Omega, and Zeta, I Summon Infinity's Servant - Grannel's Pathrazer." Sven said. (Response?) A large, mechanical being with an infinity sign carved into its chest appeared. On its left arm was what looked like a large bow, and on the right, a shield of sorts. The chest was plated by metallic armour, which only left the large carving exposed. The head had a spear tip jutting out the back of it. Its legs were covored in spikes. (ATK: 2400) "Another Replay Battle. Care to go up against my servant?" Sven asked.
Merci
"That was a sweet duel!" Zeta exclaimed, and ran away. "I activate Get Your Game On! Bang Bang Whirlwind Spinning Thing Bang Splashy Boom Boom!" He said as he ran across the fields. He looked like a crazy person. And then his fit ended, well far away from the defeated Duelist. "Who'll be my next opponent, I wonder?" He asked himself. He put his hood back up and looked around. "No opponent in sight...I need to find one!" And he ran further on, searching for an opponent to face blindly, although unbeknown to him, his steps and directions were manipulated by Wiraqocha Rasca. evilfusion
Justin had never felt so confused during a duel. His opponent had just performed one of the strangest moves he'd ever seen, activating a total of three facedowns and ultimately getting rid of a bunch of monsters from his deck and field to summon some...weird monster. Scrap Beast couldn't do anything against it, but he could make do for now. "Uh...I'll set another card and end my turn," he said, still feeling a little out of the loop due to his last duel, and the overall confusion of his opponent's plays. Dementuo
"You seem confused by my move. Rest assured, allwill become clear soon." Sven said, as he drew his card. "I summom Grand Core." Sven said, as a small mechanical orb appeared. (Response?) "I activate the effect of Grannel's Pathrazer. I may tribute him to destroy every monster on my field. Then, you will recieve 800 damage, and I will gain the same amount." Sven said, as the robotic warrior vanished, and Grand Core became cloaked in an electric aura. (Response?) Strata thought, as he continued his search.
ATK: 2400/DEF: 1900/Level 7 You can tribute this card to destroy every monster you control. evilfusion
Justin braced himself against the damage and frowned at Sven, still perplexed by the move. "What was the point of destroying your strongest monster and your new one?" he demanded. LP: 7200 He crossed his arms, puzzling over the increasingly strange moves by his opponent. He used so many resources, cards, and so on, just to destroy them all himself, including the monsters he continued to Summon by the... Dementuo
"How right you are." Sven said, as the core blew apart. "When Grand Core is destroyed, I destroy every monster on my field. Since I have none, that is meaningless. Then, after my field is clear, I summon these." Sven said, as five monsters appeared. "Grannel Top, Grannel Guard, Grannel Attack, Grannel Carrier, and finally, Machine Emperor, Grannel Infinity!" Sven declared, as the five robotic pieces unfolded and attached to one another, forming the single entity of Grannel. "Grannel's effect. His Attack is equal to my Life Total, which is 8800." Sven said, as Grannel's ATK rose. "And since it is still my turn, I will attack your Scrap Beast." Sven said, as Grannel charged up its cannon. "Grand Death Cannon!" I select one Scrap monster I control, such as my Beast, then send a Scrap monster from my deck to the Graveyard! I choose my Scrap Chimera," he said, sliding the card from his deck into his graveyard slot. "Then I draw a card," he continued, flicking a card into his hand. "And destroy the selected monster!" Scrap Beast shattered, leaving him entirely exposed. "Scrap Searcher's effect! When a Scrap Monster is destroyed, I Special Summon it, in Defense position!" (Lvl 1, 100/300) "Also, when Scrap Beast is destroyed by a Scrap Effect, I add a Scrap monster from my Graveyard to my hand, such as Chimera!" Dementuo
"Nicely played." Sven said. "You have survived through this turn. However, you will not survive so easily next turn." Sven said. "Now, I shall place a final card face-down, and end my turn." Sven said, as the last card in his hand appeared beside him. "Now then... What will you do in the face of such dispair? Will you Synchro Summon? It's useless, though you don't know that..." Sven thought. "Alright, Signer... Show me how powerful those useless little Synchro Monsters can be..." Sven thought. Sven then looked at Justin. "May I ask a question? What is your opinion on Synchro monsters?" Sven asked. evilfusion
"My opinion on Synchros?" Justin repeated, raising an eyebrow, but drawing a card, bringing his hand supply up to six. "Synchros are powerful cards that revolutionized the strategy of the game, with the small cost that every new deck type will only be considered good based on the Synchros it has or its capacity to play them." "And my deck can produce them with ease," he added, almost as an afterthought. "I Summon Scrap Chimera!" (Lvl 4, 1700/500) (Response? If not...) "Scrap Chimera's effect! When it's Normal Summoned, I Special Summon one Scrap Tuner from my Graveyard, and I choose my Scrap Beast!" (Lvl 4, 1600/1300) Justin considered the situation. The first thing he had noticed, aside from the obscenely high ATK of Sven's monster, was the fact it seemed to be made of five different monsters, each with their own ATK and DEF. If he could lower Sven's LP, he could weaken Grannel. Well, he COULD just Summon one of his Scrap Synchros to destroy Grannel with an effect, but he had a hunch that his opponent had a card or two to prevent that very attempt. "From what I can see, you want me to be scared of your huge monster and forget about the weaker ones," Justin said, in a tone clearly indicating he thought he was brilliant for figuring this out. Dementuo
"So you noticed. For that, I applaud you. But, it makes little difference." Sven said. "Grannel Carrier's effect activates. Once per turn, if a monster I control would be destroyed by battle, then it is not." Sven said, as a barrier surrouned Grannel, fending off Scrap Chimera. "You see, while it may be a fatal flaw that Grannel is comprised of five different parts, the former acts as a shield, and the latter acts as the sword." Sven said. He chuckled. "Your opinion on Synchro Monsters seems, to me, to be a bit high. You feel that Synchro Monsters are a basis of any deck now? Well, look at the monster before you. It isn't a Synchro at all." Sven said, as Grannel eyed Justin. "Such a powerful card is far above Synchro Monsters. Don't you agree?" Sven asked.
Merci
Zeta looked around and saw someone. "Hey there!" He called out to the person, who was Strata. Wiraqocha Rasca had sensed Strata's first defeat, and he had wanted Zeta to finish him, thus he had altered Zeta's random course to get there. "Hey, you looking for an opponent?" Zeta asked. He approached the person. "Say, I was looking for one too!" He took out his Duel Disk and put his Deck into it, and then he activated it. "I can't find any other opponent so far, you know? It may be stronger than Synchros, but it depends on how fast you get it out," Justin noted. "And even if your Carrier kept your monster from being destroyed in battle, you still take Battle Damage, and with fewer lifepoints, your monster loses ATK points. Now, Scrap Beast, attack Grannel Carrier!" If that monster keeps his others before being destroyed, I should do what I can to destroy it first. Dementuo
Grannel Carrier blew apart, as Sven lost a few more Life Points. (LP: 6700) "I guess it's a matter of opinion. Now then, what will you do?" Sven asked. "Even if he Synchron Summons his Scrap Dragon, I have a perfect card to negate that effect." Sven thought. "And that will supply my Machine Emperor with more power..." He continued in his head. -MEANWHILE- Strata looked at Zeta a little strangely. "Uh, ok..." Strata said as he activated his duel disk, and drew his cards. "I'll go first, if you don't mind. Draw." Strata looked over the cards in his hand. Dementuo
"I chain the card Infinity Wall!" Sven said, as his first card flipped up. "The effect of Scrap Dragon is now negated." Sven said shortly. "The reasongeing that Infinity Wall negates the effects of a card that would destroy a Machine Emperor I control." Sven explained. "Now that that's out of the way, he'll have to end his turn. Obviously he's fine with losing that left face-down of his... But I still need to be cautious. He now has two face-down cards, and no amount of attack power could eliminate those." Sven thought. "But now that he's Synchro Summoned, my victory is assured. No matter how many life points I lose, so long as I have Synchro Monsters to absorb, I'll be fine." Sven thought.
evilfusion
Justin scowled a little, but altogether was unsurprised. "I'll end my turn, then," he said. Otherwise I'd just have Synchroed without gaining anything from my efforts in the end. The mechanical dragon on his field growled, but settled down as Justin waited for Sven to take his turn. "Behold the might of the Synchro Killer!" Sven said, as Scrap Dragon was drawn closer to Grannel. (Response?) -MEANWHILE- Leuneth looked down at where Zeta and Strata were now dueling. "Huh.
