Dante stepped back, "What the hell are you playing at". Dante coughed up again. I need to get these injuries treated soon. Dante watched up to Zeta. I need to take care more hits like that I'll be in terrible situation. "What is that beast." Dante scanned his field. "I switch Sigma to Defense mode." Sigma crossed his arms to a shielding psotion. "I...I end my turn." His rib began to trouble him again. I need to find a way to win this.

"My turn, traw!" Zeta declared, and drew a card from his Deck. "Bang bang Wiraqocha Rasca!" The giant Condor threw another laser which hit the ground in front of Dante, sending him flying, and possibly breaking his right leg as well (Dante LP 1400) and Wiraqocha Rasca grew more powerful from the attack (ATK 1700). "Now let's end this! I activate my spell card, Earthbound Rage! By tributing one Earthbound Immortal I control, I can cannon all his ATK at you GEEOH DEE-EM HAHAHAHAHA!" Wiraqocha Rasca then suddenly retreated behind Zeta for some reason. Maybe it was afraid to obey, an idiot might think. But no, it was just getting ready. It shot at Dante with all its weight while spiraling in the air, and for a single split second Dante was given time to reflect on himself.

"It's a long story...and to make a long story short, I was forced off a cliff by a gang of Psychic Duelists..." Nikki explained, sadly. "You see, I refused to join their group...I didn't want to harness my psychic powers, but rather rid them from my body...However, it didn't happen as I had planned..." Nikki continued, looking at Lily. "And the next thing I remember, I became 'this' being..." she concluded.

-MEANWHILE-

Ren boarded off the roof of the station and onto the grounds. "Some Stardust user, you say? Wonder who that could be..." He quickly swiped out his helmet and placed it on his head. The eyepiece descended and fell over his eyes. "Well, then...off to find this individual..." he thought, riding off.

"Life doesn't like working out as planned," Lily mused. "As for me, I graduated from high school, went to celebrate, had a drink or two, and my designated driver didn't remember the driver isn't supposed to drink anything. We crashed, needless to say. She limped away...I didn't."

Her eyes flickered and she averted her gaze. "So many things we didn't accomplish in life...the desire to live and succeed called upon the Immortal that spared us. I don't hate my state of being, but it has a hollow feeling to it nevertheless. It seems...we were meant to meet again after all."

---

Justin paused his walking and reclined against the wall. Was it that everyone here knew about his skills or something, and were afraid to challenge him? Nah, that was a stupid way of thinking of things. Maybe he needed to challenge someone else. Yeah, that was it. He needed to just grit his teeth and challenge the next guy he saw.

Leuneth suddenly felt his arm glow for a split second. He had sensed two things: Wrasca's summoning, and a nearby Signer. "...Hmph... Looks like I'll have an opponent soon enough... But whoever summoned Wrasca had better have a good reason for doing so..." Leuneth thought. "...Alright, so where is that Signer..." Leuneth thought. He began to look around at nearby duelists. Many were already dueling, but he noticed one guy who seemed to be searching for an opponen as well. Leuneth walked up to him. "...Hello... Would you care to duel me...? ...It looks as though we're both in need of an opponent..." Leuneth offered Justin.

-MEANWHILE-

Sven looked over to Ven once more. He looked back to the viewpoint. "Finally, a reliable contact." Sven thought out loud. "And it seems that not only has another Immortal been summoned, but one of the Dark Signers have stumbled across another Signer for us... How convenient." Sven said. "Now, if we could get a look at his Dragon, then we might have the identity of our missing Stardust bearer." Sven said. "That would leave the Red Dragon's bearer, and Ancient Fairy's bearer."

(Wow, this turn went WAAAY longer than expected)

Justin looked up and grinned a little. "Heh, sure may as well. I guess you're right about me needing an opponent. I just hope you don't bore me or anything," he said, raising his arm and activating his Duel Disk, sliding his deck into the main slot, the lifepoint counter rising to 8000.

"Then, if you're ready...let's duel!" he said, drawing his starting hand in a quick flick of his wrist. "Oops, looks like I drew six, so let's compensate by having me take the first move," he suggested, pantomiming drawing a card. "My turn!"

He looked his cards over for a moment, before making a play with almost no hesitation at all. "I activate Foolish Burial! I send one monster from my deck straight to the Graveyard, and I choose my Scrap Golem!" Justin extracted the card from his deck and slid it into his Graveyard.

"Next, I Summon Scrap Goblin!" (Lvl 3, 0/500) Justin grinned a little. "Then I activate Scrapstorm! I select one Scrap monster I control, like my Goblin. Then, I select a Scrap monster from my deck, place it in my Graveyard, and then draw a card. I send Scrap Chimera to the Grave," he said, depositing the chosen card, pausing to let the automatic shuffler do its thing, then drew. "Lastly, the selected Scrap monster is destroyed!"

His monster shattered into pixels, but he looked untroubled. "When Scrap Goblin is destroyed by the Effect of a Scrap card, I add one Scrap monster from my Graveyard to my hand, like the Scrap Chimera I put there earlier." He extracted the card and put it into his hand. "Now, I activate Monster Reborn!"

He chuckled. "I select a monster from our Graveyard, and Special Summon it. I choose my Scrap Golem!"

A mechanical golem monster emerged onto the field. (Lvl 5, 2300/1400) "I activate Scrap Golem's effect! Once per turn, I can Special Summon a level four or below Scrap monster from my Graveyard to either side of the field! I choose my Scrap Goblin!" (Lvl 3, 0/500)

"I tune my level 3 Scrap Goblin with my level five Scrap Golem!" Justin announced. His Goblin split into three green rings, which the larger golem passed through, becoming a row of glowing stars. "Synchro Summon! Scrap Dragon!"

A large mechanical dragon appeared, eyes gleaming dangerously. (Lvl 8, 2800/2000)

Justin slid one card into the slot of his Disk. "Not bad for a first turn, huh? Turn End."

Ven nodded seriously. "If he's a Signer, he may be the wielder of the Red Dragon Archfiend or Ancient Fairy Dragon...but looking at his deck, the former seems the most likely, if not Stardust. Brought out a level 8 Synchro in one turn, how cute." He steepled his fingers. "Such a strategy makes him seem like easy prey to one who wields a Machine Emperor."

Dante fell to his knees during the last blow (LP: 0),"How...how could this have happened." The holograms faded but the Immortal still remained, "Whats going on?-" Dante suddenly coughed up blood again, everything was numb. Things around him began to fade, "Seraph, I followed the light you showed me." Dante looked up to the Earthbound God, "You gave me a reason to fight, a reason to exist." Dante raised his hand the condor, "And even in the darkest of hours, where I see a black void... Ihat no regrets". Dante saw the world around him fade to shining light, "Its beautiful."Only the black condor remained spreading the void across the pristine white scape covering the last sources of light, "I accept this, it is ironic how a man devoted to the light winds up in the shadows." Dante used the last of his strength to get on him feet, "Well, I guess I can have my last duel, because an ironic defeat". Dante smiled disappearing into the void of the Earthbound God.

"...That's interesting..." Leuneth said as he drew his own six cards. He then looked at his hand. "...That's very interesting..." Leuneth said. "Hm... Scrap Dragon will revive any Scrap monster from his grave when it's destroyed, plus it can destroy my cards in exchange for his... He is surely a good opponent..." Leuneth thought. "First, I activate Infernity Storm. I send an Infernity monster from my hand to destroy a spell or trap on the field. I'll take out that face down card." Leuneth said.
(Response?)
"Next, I'll activate Infernity Launcher. I activate its effect, allowing me to dispose of a fourth card from my hand. Now, I summon Infernity Necromancer." Leuneth said. "When he's summoned, he switches himself to Defense position. (DEF: 2000)" Leuneth said, as the monster appeared. "Next, I activate the effect of the Dark Catarpholis in my hand. I set him on the field as a face-down Trap card. Then, if he's destroyed, then I'm allowed to remove him instead. And during the next Standby Phase after he's removed, I summon him." Leuneth explained. "And that leaves my hand empty. Now, my Infernity Launcher. While my hand is empty, I can send it to the grave to revive two Infernity monsters from my grave. I'll bring back Infernity Archfiend and Infernity Avenger. Now, by Archfiend's effect, I add an Infernity Barrier to my hand. Of course, I'll set it." Leuneth said, as two monsters appeared, and his hand emptied once more. "Now, I tune my Level 1 Infernity Avenger with my Level 3 Infernity Necromancer and my Level 4 Infernity Archfiend." Leuneth said. "Synchro Summon... Infernity Death Dragon." Leuneth said asthenosphere three monster burst apart, the smallest one forming a lone green ring, and the other two forming seven silver stars. When the light vanished, a large dragon stood there. "By the effect of Infernity Death Dragon, while my hand is empty, I can select a monster you control, then destroy it. Aferwards, you take damage equal to that monster's original Attack. Since Scrap Dragon is the only availible monster, it will die. And you'll feel the burn of hell." Leuneth said, as Death Dragon fired off a large burst of blue flame.

-MEANWHILE-

Sven looked down at the duel. "Yes... So it is... And this Dark Signer has as well. Hmph." Sven said. "How pathetic, relying on Synchro monsters..." Sven said. "If it was Ren dueling the signer, then that dragon would be long gone by now." Sven said.

Justin winced a little as his facedown card shattered. So much for Chain Whirlwind, he thought. He proceeded to watch the rest of the move in mild confusion. Infernity monsters, this is going to be awesome, he thought, smirking, even as his Scrap Dragon exploded, the flames of the Death Dragon striking him. He grunted a bit, his lifepoints dropping to 6600.

"When Scrap Dragon is destroyed by an opponent's card effect or battle, I Special Summon one Scrap monster from my Graveyard, and I choose Scrap Golem!" (Lvl 5, 2300/1400)

"My turn!" he stated, drawing his card and quickly analyzing the situation. One of those facedowns is Infernity Barrier, the other is that...Dark Tuner something. Well, so he can negate any Spell, Trap, or monster effect he wants. I'm not that worried, I've got plenty of good cards and effects to go around, and he can only counter 1 of them...

"I Summon Scrap Beast!" he announced, slapping the card onto his Disk. (Lvl 4, 1600/1300) "I know you're hoping I'll do something stupid like activate Golem's effect, but no thanks, I won't take that bait. I tune my level four Scrap Beast with my level five Scrap Golem!" The beast broke into four rings, and the Golem merged into five stars, becoming pierced by a beam of light.

"Synchro Summon! Scrap Twin Dragon!" (Lvl 9, 3000/2200) A new dragon had appeared, with two heads as opposed to the first dragon's one. Justin grinned. "Looks like our monsters are tied, so I'll attack your Infernity Death Dragon with my Scrap Twin!"

The two heads of the dragon opened and it unleashed a fiery blast towards the Infernity dragon.

(Response? If not...)

Both monsters exploded and Justin chuckled. "No Infernity monsters in ATK position means I can activate my Dragon's Effect without fear of your Trap! Like my first dragon, this one can Special Summon a non-Synchro Scrap from my Graveyard, like Scrap Golem!" (Lvl 5, 2300/1400)

"And it'll attack you directly!"

The moment Scrap Twin Dragon launched an attack, both it and Death Dragon became surrounded in a blue fire. "I activate the effect of my Dark Catarpholis. Since he works as a Trap card now, I gain his second effect. By sending him to the grave when an opponent's monster attacks, both monsters are destroyed, and you take damage equal to my monster's original Attack." Leuneth said.
(Response?)
"Of course, I don't gain his first effect, allowing me to summon him, as he wasn't destroyed by a card effect. However, that will all soon change. I chain my own Infernity Barrier to him. This will destroy it, and then he'll be removed. And during my Standby Phase, I'll be able to summon him." Leuneth said.
(Response?)
A human-sized, cloaked figure stepped out of the card, but the blue flame was reppeled back to it by a barrier that surrounded Infernity Death Dragon. The figure blew apart, and was sucked into a void. Leuneth took the attack without even moving. (LP: 5700) "Now then... Continue your turn." Leuneth said.

Justin was just confused at this point. "You negated your own card that was going to deal 3000 damage?" he asked, incredulous. "Well...okay, then. During my Main Phase 2, I activate Scrap Golem's effect! I Special Summon one level four or below Scrap monster from my Graveyard, such as my Scrap Goblin!" (Lvl 3, 0/500)

"I don't know what you're up to, so I think it's time to whip out this monster to protect me. I tune my level 3 Scrap Goblin with my level 5 Scrap Golem!" Once again, the Synchro procedure occurred, the three rings surrounding the Golem, which in turn dissolved into five stars for only the third time in two turns.

"Synchro Summon! Stardust Dragon!" A white and blue scaled dragon appeared, roaring triumphantly. (Lvl 8, 2500/2000)

"I'll set a card and end my turn!" he announced, frowning when a strange throbbing sensation expanded from his right arm, but he focused on the duel at hand. "Lets do this!"

Ven straightened up, his eyes widening. "What are the odds?" he wondered, stunned, pointing at the viewpoint despite knowing that Sven could see the same thing with no difficulty. "Not only does he Synchro Summon like there's no tomorrow, he has the Stardust card!"

Sven looked in slight awe. "Yes... What are the odds? He has Stardust Dragon in a deck that's focused around destruction and summoning... This continues to surprise me. This will be an interesting duel..." Sven said.

-MEANWHILE-

Leuneth drew his card as Stardust appeared. "During my Standby Phase, my Dark Catarpholis is revived." Leuneth said, as a void opened up, and the hooded figure stepped out. (ATK: 1000)
(Response?)
"Now, I summom Infernity Dwarf." Leuneth said, as a small, bearded impling appeared. "I Dark Tune my level 10 Dark Tuner Monster Dark Catarpholis with my Infernity Dwarf." Leuneth said. The hooded figure burst into ten silver stars, and they imploded onto the dwarf. Only the outline of the dwarf remained as the two stars of the dwarf and two stars of Catarpholis cancelled each other out, leaving eight silvers stars, which turned a dark color. They then became surrounded by a black light. When it vanished, an ugly, skeletal dragon stood in the light's place. "I Dark Synchro Summon my Infernity Hellkite!" Leuneth said.
(Response?)
"When my hand is empty, he gains 600 Attack, putting him over Stardust Dragon's power." Leuneth said. (ATK: 3100) "Now, Infernity Hellkite, attack Stardust Dragon!" Leuneth said.
(Response?)
Stardust Dragon shattered, as Justin's life depleted. (LP: 6000) "When Infernity Hellkite destroys a monster through battle, while my hand is empty, you take damage equal to that monster's original Attack." Leuneth said.
(Response?)
"I end my turn with that." Leuneth said.

Justin tapped the button on his disk, but to his alarm, the card didn't flip up as expected, and a quiet buzz sounded from the device. "What?" he gasped. Damn, that monster must have another effect...like something that locks Spells and Traps, or it can't be targeted or something. That buzz means the card's timing or possible targets are invalid... Stardust Dragon groaned a little before blowing apart, scattering pixels around Justin. Then he heard more of the Hellkite's effect. "Uh-oh," he muttered.

Flames burst around him and he cringed.

LP: 3500

"All right, then," he said, panting a bit. "It's my turn!" He drew a card and nodded. He's destroyed every Synchro I've played so far, and severely damaged my lifepoints. But I know what I must do to destroy it. "I activate the Spell with the unfortunate name, Scrap Lube! This card lets me Special Summon one Scrap monster from my Graveyard, but any effects it has on the field are negated, and I cannot perform my Battle Phase this turn! I choose Scrap Goblin in defense position!" (Lvl 3, 0/500)

"Then I'll set a monster in defense to end my turn," Justin said finally.

Leuneth drew. "This brings Hellkite's power down, but not for long." Leuneth said. "I activate Infernity's Curse. I select an Infernity monster I control, then you take damage equal to half of that monster's Attack. However, Hellkite won't be able to attack this turn." Leuneth said. "And also, while Infernity's Curse is in my graveyard, I'm allowed to add an Infernity monster from my deck to my hand instead of drawing." Leuneth explained as Hellkite fired off a large blue flame at Justin. "Your life force is almost gone... Just a few more steps until you reach Oblivion's sweet release." Leuneth said.
(Response? If not)
Leuneth looked at Justin. "Tell me... Why did you enter this tournament? Is there something you believe is worth living for?" Leuneth asked. "...Hmph... I end my turn." He said.

Justin defended himself from the fire, grunting and scowling a little. He's starting to get annoying...half of 3100 is 1550.

LP: 1950

"It's my turn!" he announced, drawing with vigor and looking at the card. "Awesome, now let's turn this around for me. First, I Summon Scrap Chimera!" (Lvl 4, 1700/500) "When this card is Normal Summoned, I can Special Summon one Scrap Tuner from my Graveyard, such as my Scrap Beast!" (Lvl 4, 1600/1300)

"I tune my level three Scrap Goblin with my level four Scrap Chimera," Justin announced. His Goblin faded into three rings, and it was followed by the Chimera passing through them. As this occured, the continuous Spell on Justin's field exploded into pixels. "Synchro Summon! Scrap Archfiend!" (Lvl 7, 2600/1800)

"I know my monster doesn't look too impressive to you, but that's not all I'm doing this turn," Justin said with a grin. "I Flip my Scrap Searcher and then activate Scrap Sheen!" (Lvl 1, 100/300)

"Scrap Sheen destroys one Scrap monster I control, and then gives all other Scraps 1000 extra ATK!" Justin explained, his Searcher self-destructing. Archfiend and Beast each were surrounded by a shiny, polished aura. (ATK: 3600) (ATK: 2600)

"Go, Scrap Archfiend, attack his Infernity HellKite!" Justin commanded. "Then, Scrap Beast will attack you directly!"

When all was completed, Justin nodded. "Turn End." The metallic shine of his monsters faded, dropping them down to their original ATK. "You want to know why I joined? Because I know I can win it all, and that's what I plan to do. Nothing can be said or done to stop me."

The array erupts into a beam of light, which fades away to reveal a huge mechanical lord with two swords. (2800 ATK)
"Now Bureido's effect activates, allowing me to Special Summon Karakuri Bushi mdl 6318 'Muzanichiha' in Defense Position."
A strange robotic samurai with a katana appeared next to Bureido. (1800 ATK)

Leuneth still took the attacks, emotionlessly and unmoving. "...So that is your reasoning... Suit yourself." Leuneth said. "My turn." Leuneth said. "And by the effect of Infernity's Curse, I add Infernity Guardian to my hand instead of drawing it." Leuneth said. "I set a monster, and end my turn." Leuneth said. "...I can sense this... This feeling..." Leuneth thought. "He's pushed me beyond both my dragons... Death Dragon and Hellkite have moved on, yet I have no way of reviving them... However, he only remains with 1950 Life Points, and I am fully capable of depleting that much... But how I will survive until then, I'm not sure." Leuneth thought. "Aslla... I may need your help." "Then it's my turn!" Justin announced, drawing swiftly and watching Leuneth with confusion. Hmm...he hasn't once used Infernity Avenger's effect to intercept my attacks...why...is he trying to lose LP for some reason? Bah, who cares, I'm in a bind, either way.

"I activate Scrapyard! This Spell lets me add one 'Scrap' Tuner from my deck to my hand and I choose Scrap Orthros!" he said, extracting the card. "Scrap Orthros cannot be Normal Summoned or Set, but if I control a Scrap monster, I can Special Summon it!" he slapped the card onto the disk and a mechanical canine appeared. (Lvl 4, 1700/1100)

"When Scrap Orthros is Special Summoned, I must destroy one Scrap monster, and I choose Scrap Beast!" The other level four tuner exploded, but Justin seemed unbothered.

"At this timing, I activate the effects of Scrap Searcher and Scrap Beast! Scrap Beast lets me return one Scrap monster from my Graveyard to my hand when it is destroyed by a Scrap effect, and when a Scrap monster of mine is destroyed, I can Special Summon Scrap Searcher from the graveyard. I return Scrap Golem to my hand, and Special Summon Scrap Searcher!" (Lvl 1, 100/300)

"I Tribute Scrap Archfiend in order to Summon Scrap Golem! Bear with me here, I know what I'm doing." (Lvl 5, 2300/1400) The mechanical golem returned.

"I activate Scrap Golem's effect to Special Summon a level 4 or below Scrap from my Graveyard, and I choose my Scrap Goblin!" (Lvl 3, 0/500) "Now, I tune my level four Scrap Orthros with my level five Scrap Golem and my level one Scrap Searcher!" The golem and odd mechanical bird broke into stars, forming a pillar of six, and four green rings formed in front of them. A beam of light pierced through the stars.

"Synchro Summon! Atomic Scrap Dragon!" (Lvl 10, 3200/2400) A three headed dragon had appeared, roaring loudly.

Justin grinned smugly. "How's that for a good move?" he asked. "I activate Atomic Scrap's effect! I choose one card on my field and three cards in your graveyard. Then, the card I choose is destroyed, and the cards in your graveyard return to your deck! So...I choose Scrap Goblin, and the cards Infernity Curse, Infernity Avenger, and Infernity Hellkite!"

The three headed dragon roared and the goblin exploded, the three chosen cards flying back into Leuneth's deck. "When Scrap Goblin is destroyed by a Scrap effect, I return one Scrap monster from my Graveyard to my hand, and I choose my Scrap Chimera. Lastly, I activate Scrap Searcher's effect, to Special Summon it in Defense! Turn End."

"My turn, draw." Leuneth said. "A fourth dragon? How many of these things does he even have?" Leuneth wondered. "Now then... I activate Immortal Spirit. When my Life Points are less than 3000, I may tribute a monster I control. Then, I'm allowed to Special Summon two Death Tokens." Leuneth said, as the monster on his field vanished. "And then, I will draw two cards." Leuneth said. "...Interesting..." Leuneth thought. "I activate the Field Spell Gateway of Boundaries." Leuneth said. Immediately, a large gate sprang up behind him. "So long as this card remains active, yams as long as my Life Points are higher than yours, I may revive two monsters from your grave. I'll choose Scrap Goblin and Scrap Beast." Leuneth said, as the two monsters appeared on Justin's side. "Now, I tribute my two tokens to summon my beast..." Leuneth said, as purple fire began to flare around the two duelists. "I summon Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu!" Leuneth said, as the two tokens faded, and a large hummingbird appeared, as if from the sky. "Now, by his effect, I'm allowed to attack you directly. Go, Aslla! Drag him down into hell! Fury Cyclone!" Leuneth said, as the hummingbird flapped its wings, creating a large gust of wind.

Lily blinked as her Spider mark glowed and intensified. "...they're just churning those out now, aren't they?" she remarked dryly. "Two Immortals played in short succession. It's like subtlety doesn't even exist. Ignoring the hypocrisy of my complaint...oh whatever. The tournament's well underway."

--

"What are you-?" Justin demanded, staring around in alarm as the purple fire rose up. "What the hell is going on?" Then he saw the monster. Large and imposing, in the shape of an enormous hummingbird with a beak so long it seemed to go on for ever. Justin's breath caught in his throat, and his arm burned painfully, a flash of red appearing upon it in the shape of a dragon's head.

"Attack directly?!" he repeated, shocked. Due to his opponent's field spell...hell knows why he chose to revive monsters to Justin's field...especially Tuner monsters...he now had four monsters in play. Just what was his opponent planning? Of course, a direct attack was sure to finish him off.

"At this moment, my Field Spell activates! While my Life Points are higher than yours, then once per turn, when my opponent activates the effect of a Spell or Trap card, by destroying a monster I control, that card's effect is negated, then destroyed!" Leuneth said, as the immortal imploded, and brought up a huge cloud of dust. "And when Aslla Piscu is removed from the field, except by its own effect, every monster you control is destroyed." Leuneth said, as the dust cloud surrounded Justin's monsters. The cloud then imploded again, solidifying, and crushing the monsters. "Finally, once that happens, you take 800 points of damage for every monster destroyed that way!" Leuneth said, as the now solid ball of dust and rock flew up. The dust blew apart, and reshaped itself into a dustier, darker version of the destroyed god. It once again created nearly gale-force winds, aimed straight at Justin.

"What?" Justin gasped. First, his Scrap-Iron Scarecrow exploded, but before he could get cocky about the suicide attempt Leuneth had performed, he heard the rest of his opponent's monster effect. "So that's why..." he bemoaned, watching all four of his monsters shatter apart, the Atomic Scrap Dragon doing so with enough force to knock him to the ground. He groaned, feeling like his sides were bruised. "Ow, ow, ow..."

That effect...Stardust Dragon perfectly counters it... he thought, closing his eyes.

"...Hmph..." Leuneth said, as the Aslla Piscu dust clone faded, and the purple flames subsided. He walked away from Justin, looking down at Aslla's card. "I did my part for you. Now we're even." Leuneth thought. "Defeat the Signers, right? I've defeated one already, and two others have been beaten by Uru. That should satisfy you for a while." Leuneth thought. "Now then... To trine those two..." Leuneth thought, as he walked back towards the observation platform he had left only minutes ago.

-MEANWHILE-

"Are these Signers that weak?" Sven said. "He Synchro Summoned five times in that duel, and not a one of the cards he had could have defeated our Machine Emperors. And then there's the Dark Signers, who seem to be relyant on their Earthbound Immortals..." Sven said. "It may not be too difficult to eliminate the Stardust bearer." Sven said. "But I will not underestimate him. I know how you worry about such things, Ven." Sven said.

"Hmph..." Ren smirked as he watched the duel above. "That's the Stardust user the other emperors are worried about?" he thought, jumping back onto his Duel Board. He rode into a portal and reappeared in the emperors' lair. "Well, I didn't even have to do anything for that..." he said as he tossed the Duel Calculator at Ven. "Honestly, against the Machine Emperors, none of those petty Synchros would have lasted for more than a minute..." Ren commented as his duel board retracted into its sphere-like form.

Ven massaged his forehead as the Duel Calculator clattered at his feet. "Ren, was it?" he said slowly. "Just because he lost doesn't mean he's not a threat. He still has one loss left in the tournament, and if you saw his duel at all, you'd know he has insane Synchro capability. In one rather short duel, he brought out four Synchros: 2 level eights, a level nine, and a level ten. That was by far, the shortest duel I saw from a Signer vs Dark Signer, and he very well could have won that duel. A loss will undoubtedly rekindle a passion to work harder to succeed, and what better way to succeed than master a Synchro evolution that could spell doom for our plans? If he is defeated again, his role in the tournament will expire."

He paused. "Scrap monsters are actually a greater threat against the Machine Emperors than I believe either of you realize. They can destroy themselves with other effects to dodge the Emperor, and then use Scrap Dragon's destruction, Scrap Twin's bounce, or just outright power to win. They are impressively disruptive, but we can debate that point forever. Unless he and his troublesome deck are removed from the greater scope, he can still provide issues."
