Dante drew his 6 cards, "Just a comfortable duel between two duelists, may the light guide me. I summon Vairon Soldier (ATK:1700) in attack mode." A heavily armed floating mech appeared on the field. "I equip him with the equip spell Vairon Material." Soldier now wielded a metal sword(ATK: 2300), "I will not loss again just a for warning Zeta. I activate the spell Release Restraint Wave." The metal sword burst into lightning (ATK:1700)and swarmed toward Zeta's FD spells/traps. "Even as casual as I want to play this I can't hold anything back," Dante said clenching his fist, "I can't lose for the sake of Seriph."

(response, if not?)

"Now because Vairon Material was sent to the graveyard I can add another one from my deck to my hand," Dante picked the card and shuffled his deck, " Now I equip my new Vairon Material to Soldier (ATK: 2300)and activate his effect to change any 1 of your monster's battle position even if its face down. Go Soldier strike down his monster Lightning Blade!"

(LP is actually 3900. You earlier miswrote it as 4700 when it's 4500)

For the first time in a long time, Lily was speechless. She had never heard of a Synchro that took place on her turn, much less one like this. Upon realizing what it was about to do, her eyes widened, and she clicked the button on her disk.

"Trap Activate! Call of the Haunted! This lets me Special Summon one monster from my Graveyard, like Sangan!" (Lvl 3, 1000/600) However, the petal swarm hit it and all her cards exploded into pixels. Lily stared at the dragon facing her, and raised a hand to her deck. "When Sangan is sent from the field to the Graveyard, I select one monster from my deck with 1500 ATK or less...and add it to my hand. I choose Grave Squirmer."

Lily extracted the card before adding. "I set a monster, and then set a card. Turn End."

"Well, now..." Kirin mumbled, ejecting a card out of his duel disk. "That face-down monster has to be Grave Squirmer" Kirin thought as he prepared to play a card. "I'm activating a second Miracle Fertilizer, letting me Special Summon Tytannial, Princess of Camellias from my Graveyard!" Kirin declared as the flowery princess revived itself. "Now, Rose Eclipse Dragon, attack the face-down monster!" Kirin called as his dragon released a barrage of purple blasts.

Lily's monster groaned and shattered, revealing itself to be a bandaged fiend. "Grave Squirmer's effect! When it's destroyed in Battle, I destroy one card on your field. I choose your Tytannial!" she explained calmly.

(Response?)

Even if he uses Tytannial's negation effect, the only Plant on the field is itself, and when a monster resurrected with Miracle Fertilizer is removed from the field, the Spell itself is destroyed. However, if he lets it go, Fertilizer will still be destroyed, so...why did he use it, knowing what my monster was? She flexed her fingers briefly. What he should of done was attack with Tytannial first.

"I was well aware of that. My Eclipse Dragon's ability activates, which let's me remove my Botanical Girl. Now, your monster's effect is neared, and in addition, you take 700 points of damage." The dragon shot a stream of thorns and rose petals through the monster, aiming at Lily. "There's a reason I kept Tytannial for last, though I don't know if I can pull it off..." Kirin thought. "Tytannial, direct attack!" Kirin commanded as another barrage of flower petals directed themselves at Lily.

"What?" Lily gasped, the phantasmal image of her Grave Squirmer shattering. A small shock ran through her, and she grimanced as Tytannial's petal storm hit her next. Her Spider mark glowed even more brilliantly, and she fell to one knee, panting in pain. Her eye twitched as she looked up at the two opposing monsters.

"So," she breathed. "That's how you're going to do it? Fine, then it's my turn!" she drew with cold vigor.

"I activate Pot of Avarice! This lets me place 5 monsters from my Graveyard back into my deck, shuffle, and then draw 2 cards!" Light spewed from her graveyard as five cards ejected. "Grave Squirmer, Stygian Securities, Sangan, Dark Resonator, and Slate Warrior!"

Still breathing a bit heavily, Lily placed the cards into the deck of her Disk, and the shuffler whirred before she extracted two cards. "Now, I remove from play, my Tragoedia, Stygian Sergeants, and another Grave Squirmer (destroyed during Eclipse's nuke) to Special Summon Dark Necrofear in defense position!"

A blue-skinned fiend carrying the destroyed 'corpse' of a doll appeared, a black aura surrounding its body. (Lvl 8, 2200/2800)

Lily thrust the final card into a Spell card zone. "I set a card. Your turn!"

"Alright...my turn" Kirin announced. "I use Miracle Fertilizer's effect to Special Summon a second Tytannial from my Graveyard!" Kirin declared as a flash of light emitted from his duel disk, revealing a second blossoming princess. "Well, then...I'll lay this face-down and call it a turn" Kirin said. "All I have to do is get one of my Tytannials to destroy that Dark Necrofear. Then, it won't matter, because the duel will be over before Necrofear's effect can activate" Kirin thought, looking at the face-down card he just set.

"Ending your turn?" Lily repeated, surprised. He has the attack power to overpower Necrofear and then attack directly, but he didn't do it? she wondered. "Trap activate! Trap of Darkness! I can activate this Trap by paying 1000 lifepoints when I have 3000 LP or less. Then, I can remove one Normal Trap from my Graveyard and activate its effect as this card's. I choose my Dark Spirit Art- Greed!"

LP: 250

She smiled. "As Trap of Darkness is already active, costs do not need to be paid, so I don't Tribute a DARK monster. However, you are still able to negate its effect by revealing a Spell. Unfortunately, you don't have one, so I get 2 cards from my deck."

She drew two cards and a smirk flicked across her face. "It is still your End Phase, so I activate my other facedown card, Fires of Doomsday! This Spell summons 2 'Doomsday Tokens', but I cannot Summon during this Turn, and they cannot be used for a Tribute Summon, unless the monster is a DARK."

A pair of black flame tokens appeared. (Lvl 1, 0/0)x2

"And now it's my turn!" She drew a card with vigor. The Spider Mark burned upon her arm more intensely, and the flames around their dueling grounds flared up briefly. "I'm afraid you've forced my hand. I activate the Field Spell, Mystic Plasma Zone!"

The sky above them glowed an ominous blue-black, the clouds condensing into a pillar that radiated electricity. "All DARK Attribute monsters gain 500 ATK, but lose 400 DEF," she explained coolly. "I Tribute my two Doomsday Tokens!"

As she spoke, the two black flames fizzled and Lily placed the card onto her disk. "Descend Forth! Earthbound Immortal Uru!"

The ground rumbled and an absolutely massive monster, larger than any normal Duel Monster, appeared from the field, seeming to break through the ground and emerging in a pillar of light. Its body was black in color with vibrant red colors upon its arachnid form. Eight glowing red eyes pierced the opponent. (Lvl 10, 3000/3000)

"Mystic Plasma Zone increases its ATK by 500!" (ATK: 3500)

"And now...I activate Earthbound Immortal Uru's effect! By Tributing one monster on my field, I gain control of one monster on your field for the turn! I Tribute Dark Necrofear...and take control of Rose Eclipse Dragon!"

Rose Eclipse Dragon has 3200 ATK...if it attacks a Tytannial at 2800, he'll take 400 damage...and leave him with 3500 Lifepoints. Uru's 3500 ATK will then be dealt directly to him...and he'll lose. My victory has come. But a worthy opponent he was...no doubt a real Signer.

As Uru was summoned, Kirin stepped back, flinching at the sight of the enormous spider. "So this...was that thing I saw...." he whispered quietly. Kirin watched helplessly as Rose Eclipse Dragon was consumed by Uru's threads. He looked up, knowing he had lost. "Well, I suppose that's it" he thought, as he looked down. His field contained two Tytannials, both which could be destroyed. His face-down card, Blossom Bombardment would be useless... He looked up at the impossible situation.

Strata looked at the large spider with a bit of fear. "It's that card again... This guy's going to lose here, I can feel it..." Strata thought. "He'd better be careful if he doesn't want to lose like I did." Strata thought.

-MEANWHILE-

Leuneth was still watching. "So she summoned her Immortal again... You are a cold-hearted one, Lily... Only you would kick something so powerful down with such ease... That Rose Eclipse Dragon sure is something... I might have to eliminate it... Later..." Leuneth said to himself.

-MEANWHILE-

Sven looked at the Dragon with a look of satisfaction. "The first step is now complete. Black Rose Dragon evolved." Sven said. He had returned from the past a while back, having failed in altering history. "Now for Black Feather Dragon, in the hands of that kid, and whoever possesses the Ancient Fairy Dragon." Sven said.

Uru swiftly bound the large dragon in webbing and Lily watched as it was dragged to her field. (ATK: 3200) She could sense the Spider Immortal's immense glee at controlling the situation, and she had no doubt that it had prepared to win.

"And now, to business. Rose Eclipse Dragon, attack the first Tytannial!" The dragon lashed out with petals, and the princess shattered apart, the Miracle Fertilizer Spell following suit. (Kirin LP: 3500)

"I can see by the look in your eyes, you fear this to be the end. You are quite right. For even though you have another monster on the field, Earthbound Immortal Uru can attack my opponent directly, and your lifepoints stand at 3500. It's been a pleasure...Signer. Earthbound Immortal Uru, direct attack! Hell Thread!"

Uru raised its head and launched a powerful thread of webbing, striking Kirin with it. Lily watched the attack connect this time, the flames of the Shadow Duel dying down before the damage took its toll. He would not die...this time. (Kirin LP: 0)

The holograms of the duel disappeared and Lily deactivated her Disk, turning away and walking away, the glass barrier sliding back down into the ground from where it came.

That duel had been too close...I had gotten careless, being reduced to 250 before getting the combo. Even if I dont want to rely on Uru, once again I found myself needing it. Just like life, without it I'd be dead. Is my attempt to limit its use harming my duel? Should I embrace the Immortal's power and win as quickly as possible?

She passed Strata without a hint of acknowledgement, her red-lined cloak flapping behind her.

"That Dark Signer...she's beaten two of the Signers, even after one of the dragons evolved" Ven said, flabbergasted. "Yet spared them each time. She may be the catalyst to their evolutions..." He looked up at Sven. "Which one of them does carry Ancient Fairy? Do we even know?"

Kirin was shot by the spider's dark webs, injuring him and knocking him against the glass barrier, slightly cracking it, before falling to the ground. "What a pathetic way to lose..." he managed a rough smiled as he fell on the ground. Rose Eclipse Dragon had fallen to the ground next to him. "Perhaps this is saying something...but I'm too tired to think about anything now...". As the barrier receded, a small shard of glass fell on him, making a slight cut. "Whatever...it's probably going to take a while to come to my senses after this..." he thought as his vision blurred.

Sven looked over at Ven. "No. As of this moment, the identity of Ancient Fairy Dragon's holder is unknown. They will make themselves known in due time, though." Sven said. "I must agree with you, though; That girl will become the stepping stone to the evolution of those dragons, and to completing the Circuit." Sven said in agreement with Ven. "However, I must ask you... Do you think we will need Aporia's assistance when the time comes to face the Sychros? Of course, I am not worried in the slightest, but I must ask." Sven said. "I do not want history to repeat itself, and I do not want to become overconfident. We should make sure to tie up all possible loose ends here." Sven said.

"It depends on how we intend to go about the plan," Ven answered simply. "We are not entering the tournament ourselves, and there's no guarantee that the tournament will provide us enough power to complete it. We could enter the fray at some point, perhaps prune one or two of the slackers if we so wished, but that won't do it either." He considered for several moments. "I wouldn't write it out...per se, but not depend on it, either. I expect our plan would be simpler though, if we were to focus on using the Divine Emperor."

"It is a good thing that you aren't as prideful as your previous generation, Placido. He was foolish, as they all were." Sven said. He thought for a moment. "...I agree. We should keep the possibility in mind, but not rely on it. I will remind you how difficult Cubic is to summon in such a form, though. It requires our Cores, and pieces to run off of. It is still an incomplete model, though it is the best we have." Sven said.

-MEANWHILE-

"...No wonder life forsook you, Lily. Perhaps you were like me... With that man..." Leuneth thought. He walked down once more, and walked over to where Lily was standing. "...You're a little lost in thought, aren't you?" Leuneth asked. "...Come with me. I have some things to ask you about." Leuneth said to Lily. "...Some things about your past, and your death..." Leuneth said.

Zeta watched as his Winged Kuriboh was destroyed (LP 6000). "Cool move!" He said. "Now I activate my set card, Hero Signal! Whenever a monster I control is destroyed, I can Special Summon 1 Elemental Hero from my hand or deck! Go, Elemental Hero Stratos!" And then another monster appeared (ATK 1800). "Now I activate its effect! Whenever it is summoned to the the field, I can destroy Spell or Trap cards equal to the number of Heroes I control. Since I only control Stratos, I'll destroy your Vairon Material!" And then Stratos fired something that destroyed the Vairon Soldier's card.

Kai stood confidently as he was about to deliver the final blow with "Celestial Celt the Belief harvester"

"I'm here for one reason, to clear that person's doubt! I won't rest till my goal is completed." kai then smiled. "But as I said before don't ever not smile when dueling, win, lose they are mere representations of small points in time, consider the future after the present! It was a good duel by I have doubt to erase. Celestial Celt Finish it!"

The large purple armour warrior swung his long sword striking Akrui causing his life points to hit 0. Kai observed the upset expression on his face.

"Hmph. Not even a smile, I guess you really did learn nothing from this, oh well." Kai then turned and walked away with his hands in his dark purple coat pockets.

"But those are the possibilities our decks have," Ven noted. "Our Emperors' powers combined." He smiled a little and gazed back at the viewpoint, observing the tournament and blinking at the conclusion of a duel. "Well well...looks like the Stardust wielder has fallen too. Tsk, they've all lost a duel, one by one. They better pick up their game...otherwise the Circuit won't have enough power to complete."

He made another mark on a small clipboard he held.

--

Lily glanced at Leuneth. "You think so?" she asked. "My thoughts are a forest, to be lost in only if you lack a map. But very well, I could use a break..." she was still breathing a little heavier than normal, due to the exertions of the duel she had taken part in. She had two tournament wins and no losses, a feat she doubted everyone else was able to match...although it was not impossible a few still had an unblemished record. "Where to?"

"...Over here." Leuneth gestured towards another observation platform. "...There, we won't be disturbed." Leuneth said. He began to walk towards the stairs, awaiting Lily's follow.

-MEANWHILE-

Sven looked back towards the viewpoint. "Yes... All is going smoothly so far. The loss of the Signers is rather unexpected, but not a problem in the slightest." Sven said. "For now, we should focus on the problem at hand. I have not heard back from any of our agents yet. Perhaps we should notify them of the... conciquences of their failures. They should be contacting us regularly, if anything happens." Sven said. "And another problem will be the elimination of the Stardust Wielder after the others have attained their evolutions." Sven said.

Lily nodded and followed the other Dark Signer, gazing around thoughtfully. What did he have to talk to her about?

--

"We know our unstable agent is presently in a duel," Ven reminded Sven. "And really, would it not be wiser to target him as soon as possible, and remove him from the tournament, possibly while his morale is low after defeat. Without the will and mindset, Stardust Dragon will not evolve. We should make sure that will and mindset is not reached, while we still have control of the outcome."

Kai looked at his duel cslculator as he walked, there were few peope with just wins, however the top displayed duelists was a girl. Kai observed it for the moment. "looks like if i'm really to make an impact on this tournament, I have to go for her." Shes at 2 wins and 0 losses, could she be the one i heard rumours about? put someone in an injured state? How. either way i have to be careful." Kai smiled, the perfect opponent to clock my 2nd win." Kai continued on. "but how could i find her, thisplace os huge, and there are so manby duelists to, theres got to be someway

"Yes, of course." Sven said. "Last thing to note is what ZONE said. 'All possibilities must be made equal.'" Sven quoted. "He will no doubt reveal Stardust's evolution to that kid." Sven said.

-MEANWHILE-

Leuneth looked over at Lily. "First things first... Were you ever approached by a man in white?" Leuneth asked. "I have to know... If you did, did your life forsake you soon after...?" Leuneth asked.

-MEANWHILE-

Strata walked over to the guy who had been hit by Uru as well. "Hey, are you alright?" Strata asked him. "That was an impressive dragon you
had..." Strata said. "You need a hand?" Strata asked, offering a hand to him. "I wonder who this guy is... His dragon responded to my mark, and I still don't know what it means, but it seems to be involved with Black Feather, Stardust, and this guy's card..." Strata thought.

Ven frowned. "That hardly seems equal to me," he said under his breath. Nevertheless, he reclined on his chair and continued his observations. If simply removing the Stardust user from the equation was out of the question, then he would rather devise a way the duelist would still be important. A person with value would better serve their interests...although he would do his best to be patient and see how things turned out.

--

"A man in white?" Lily repeated. "No, I daresay I do not recall a man in white. I can scarcely remember what anyone was wearing that night. I have far more important things to recall in my past than the fashions of the people around me shortly before my friend slams into a van on the street." The Spider Mark on her arm glowed again, and Lily took a breath to relax herself.

Meanwhile, two figures, an old man and a young woman, were watching the tournament.
"Doctor, I believe it is my turn to duel in this competition." The woman announced.
"Oh. So it is. Be on your way, then." The old man replied.
The young woman turned back to the old man. "Doctor, what is the point of this 'tournament'? It seems pointless and a waste of time. That, and it brings our targets out into the open."
The old man chuckled. "My dear, if only you knew. This is entertainment. People like to see fighters clash in a semi-controlled environment for the fun of it."
"'Fun', sir?" She asked as she raised an eyebrow.
"One day, you will understand. Now go and kick their asses!"
The woman nodded. "I will injure their rears, sir."
The old man facepalmed. "Not literally!"
"Understood, sir." The woman left.

"I'm fine..." Kirin muttered as he rose to his feet, not realizing that he was ignoring the person until he saw him. "That...was embarrassing...I didn't know there were people watching..." Kirin looked at the person who was holding his hand out next to him. Then, he looked at the crater Uru's attack had left. "At least I didn't get hit as hard as the ground did..." Kirin thought as he picked up Rose Eclipse Dragon. "Thank you...So...you look pretty banged up yourself..." Kirin "greeted" the teenager. "and about my dragon...obviously I didn't use it correctly..." he muttered. "So, what's your story?" he asked, trying to change the subject.
