Dementuo
"Looks like I was right on target." Strata said. "Since I have nothing else to use there, I'll say go right on ahead. Dark Necrofear can't do anythig with those attack points. And even if you were to use an effect during Damage Calculation, I could still respond to that. Though I already know what you're going to do. I can tell you right now, while it may work this turn, it won't work for long. Dark Necrofear will be a card on your side, and Black Feather Dragon will still belong to me. Even with those conditions, there are plenty of cards in my deck that can handle that." Strata said as Black Feather Dragon prepared to blast through Dark Necrofear. "Go ahead amd do what you're going to do. I can't stop you."
Zextra
"Well then...it's my turn" Kirin called, drawing yet again. "First, I'll use my Cold Wave spell card, which freezes all our face-down cards until my next turn" Kirin explained as every face-down on the field froze instantly. "Next, I'm Gemini Summoning my Gigaplant, which unlocks its effect. Next, I'm activating its effect, allowing me to revive my Tytannial (ATK 1400/DEF 1300)!" The flowery princess reawakened as two Rose Tokens took place on Seriph's field. "But I'm not done! Next, I'm tributing my Lonefire Blossom! This lets me Special Summon another Tytannial from my Deck!" Kirin called as another Tytannial (ATK 1400/DEF 1300) arose, causing a third Rose Token to appear on Seriph's field. "And now, each of my monsters will attack one of your Rose Tokens!" Kirin called, as Gigaplant started out, shooting a ball of green acid at the first of the Rose Tokens. (Response?) Hydra's Veil! This card prevents my Hydras from being affected by Spell and Trap cards! Now, I think I'll take a shot at this" Nikki said cooly. "First up, I activate the Spell Card, Hydra's Alliance! This raises the Attack strength of each Hydra monster I control by 400 for each one. Currently, I control one Hydra, so its attack goes up by 400 (Void Lockdown Hydra: ATK 1900 -> 2300). However, that'll change when I Summon this! Bloodthirsty Hydra Orochi!" Nikki called, slapping yet another card onto her Duel Disk. A menacing, lion-looking reptile appeared, snakes bursting out of its "mane". "Now, sorry to disappoint you, but he has an effect as well. This one Summons a Hydra Hatchling Token to my side of the field!" A smaller, three-headed snake appeared. "Now, I'm sure you know this, but because of my Hydra's Alliance Spell, their ATK gets a boost!" (Void Lockdown Hydra: ATK 2300 -> 3100; Bloodthirsty Hydra Orochi: ATK 1200 -> 2400; Hydra Hatchling Token: ATK 1000 -> 2200). "Now, I'll start the assault! Hydra Hatchling! evilfusion
Blackfeather Dragon shot a burst through Dark Necrofear's body and it evaporated without a sound, the doll falling from its hands and vanishing. LP: 3500 Lily chuckled. "You're so confident. I'll switch Ha Des to defense position and next I'll set a card facedown and conclude this turn." Purple smoke erupted from the ground and surrounded Blackfeather Dragon. The dragon's eyes went blank and it soundlessly moved over to Lily's side of the field, turning to face its former master. "You obviously knew this already, but when Dark Necrofear is destroyed, either in battle or by your card effect while a monster, it becomes an Equip card during the End Phase and takes control of the equipped monster. Dementuo
"Very well." Strata said. "I draw." Strata looked at his card. "This will be my last chance here..." Strata thought. "I activate the effect of Whitewing - Stream the Silver Contrails in my hand. By removing from play a spell or trap card you control, I can Special Summom this card. When this happens, I have to take 1000 points of Damage. That won't matter much, though, as all I need to do is get Black Feather Dragon back, and it'll be negated. evilfusion
Lily merely shrugged, extracting her Dark Necrofear from her S/T zone, the blank look in Blackfeather Dragon's eyes disappearing and it returned to Strata's field. "Very well, do whatever you're planning for this turn. On the surface, the field is in your favor. But you won't get past my defenses that easily." Dementuo
"Very well. I'll end my turn after reducing the attack of Ha Des down to 50 with Black Feather Dragon's effect. At least this way Black Feather Dragon's Attaco remains at its high 2800." Strata said. "I managed to get Black Feather Dragon back again... Now I just need to draw another good card..." Strata thought. "There are still a couple of cards in this deck of mine that should be able to give me a clear field to a win here." Strata thought. "Man, I could really use a few extra draws right here..." Strata thought. "This girl seems content with getting rid of Black Feather Dragon... So now I need a way to finish her." Strata thought. Raine
Dante fell to his knees as he watched helplessly, Athena fell first. Videon stormed toward Athena striking her causing a rupturing explosion, "Ahhhh!" (LP: 2700 -> 2200). Dante fell to his hands as Radion clashed with Vairon Vanguard causing yet another explosion, "Ahhhh!" (LP: 2200 -> 1900) Dante struggled to return to his feet, his head facing down word. His breathing was heavy the 2 Magnens were closing in on Dante him self. "I wasn't strong enough," he whispered. He looked up at Zero glaring with a helpless anger, he then spread his arms and faced the monsters, "It is dishonorable to look away!" . The Magnens struck Dante he was sent reeling back words arms now in a shielding position (LP:0) The holograms faded and Dante fell backward to the wall. He picked out Concentrated Light from his deck, "I failed..." -meanwhile in place that could subsequently be described as here- Seriph looked up at Kirin, "And so a knight takes my pawns without having myself take up a counter, well played but meaningless". Gigaplant stuck the first of his 5 Rose tokens on the field (LP: 4000 -> 3600). Rose token was destroyed by the vile slime, "Yes, yes, carry on, hmm I never thought I would be growing impatient by holograms." Both Tyrannials struck two other tokens (LP: 3600 -> 2400). Two explosions erupted on the field, "Fantastic, you killed tokens you gave me. People around the world will marvel at your achievements." Seriph chuckled, "You still don't see it, how dark the world is. It disgusts me and people like you live with it. I grow sick and tired of a corrupt shadow so I will end it by my own hand." Seriph raised his duel disk in preparation, "Now end your turn I will show you my meaning". Zextra
"Well, if you're so desperate to do what you need, then by all means, go for it..." Kirin said, apparently getting bored with the duel. "Just make sure you don't waste too much time on this" he muttered. "Well, I barely have much else to do anyways..." he thought, ending his turn. "So...I wonder what kind of strategy he'll try and crush me with..." Kirin scoffed at the thought. "What he said before...something tells me that Avenging Knight Parshath is going to come back soon...Should I counter with my own Synchros....or not?" he asked himself, trying to describe. evilfusion
Lily didn't even try to hide her irritation at her opponent's inactivity. "I draw!" she said, looking at the card. "This will do. Allure of Darkness! With this card, I draw 2 two cards from my deck, but I must remove one DARK monster from my hand, otherwise I lose my hand. Well worth the risk when I have nothing else!" She drew two cards and a sudden pain from the mark upon her arm jolted her. "Wha-?" she looked at the two cards and her eyes widened. So...this is what you want... she thought to herself. I didn't want to do it this way, though. I wanted this duel to be a warmup duel. If I get too serious now... Yet the mark on her arm throbbed even more painfully, and she hesitated yet again, looking at Strata. The boy was calm, determined, looking for a way to turn his field advantage into a victory. He was a strong player, a good player...a challenge like she had never had. But yet this duelist... No, I can't get soft. They're all food for Uru...I must win this tournament. Her hand shook slightly and she took a card from her hand. "I remove Earthbound Immortal Uru from play by Allure's effect." "Next, I activate Terraforming," she continued, sounding morose all of a sudden. "This lets me search my deck for a Field Spell...and add it to my hand." Her deck ejected a card and she showed it to Strata. "Mystic Plasma Zone." A slot of her Disk slid out and she placed the card into it without a word. The "sky" above the field glowed and clouds gathered into a single blue cloud. Dark lightning crashed through it. "This card gives all DARK monsters...500 ATK, but they lose 400 DEF." Ha Des growled a little, its attack rising to 550. Yet Lily was silent for what seemed to be a long time. All I have to do is activate my Trap...and I'll win this duel. She could picture the win clearly in her mind. Her opponent carried only 3400 LP...all she had to do was activate Escape From the Dark Dimension...and select her Immortal. But to do so would be to draw attention to her duel, something she warned the other Dark Signers not to do. I just want to win...to be admired as the great duelist I am...what I couldn't do before death. "I activate...Escape from the Dark Dimension," Lily announced somberly. Raine
Seriph drew, "I will show you the product of your dark world. 14Henderson7
Looking shocked, Katsuya's Debris Dragon crumbled in the dust. Looking at his Defensless field, he knew he had lost. As the Hydras finished their attack his Life Points fell to zero. He had been humiliated and had humilated the Kaiba family. He fell to his knees and went into a stare that made him look soul less. The blank stare on Katsuya's face was as if he was dead. His cards fell out of his hand revealing a Dark Hole, and Red-Eyes Wyvern. His face-down fell out of his Duel Disk revealing the hidden Royal Decree he planned on activating the next turn. He thought to himself, Have I just been showed up by some little girl? Do I even belong in the Kaiba family with my ametuar-like skill? I should have seen something like this coming. But I didn't. I failed, I'm not even CLOSE to being as great as Seto was. Zextra
Kirin didn't flinch as Gigaplant was torn apart, his Life Points falling to 2200. "Well done...I was beginning to get bored..." Kirin almost smiled...during a duel. "Now, what will you do?" he asked as he stared at his twin Tytannials. "It looks like I'm going to have to do something else if this guy is going to go down..." Kirin looked at the lone card in his hand. "And this is going to help me do it" Kirin looked back at Asmodeus. "I know that monster's Special effect, so if I'm going to take it down, I'm going to have to do it without destroying it" he thought. -MEANWHILE- Nikki looked down at the man and sighed. evilfusion
"You're about to see what card it is," Lily said. "My apologies. By the effect of Escape from the Dark Dimension, I Special Summon Earthbound Immortal Uru!" She reached into the pocket of her cloak that she kept her RFGed cards and extracted the Spider Immortal. She studied it for a moment, and then placed it on her Duel Disk. At that moment, the vibrant dark purple mark on her arm activated, lighting up so it was clearly visible on her arm. The mark of the Spider. A large black void opened up and a MASSIVE monster appeared, shaped like a spider with red glowing markings along every leg, eight red eyes gleaming with menace, all while towering over the field. Lily felt a thrill of fear, even with herself at the helm of the duel, with her trump card out. Uru was the real master...and seeing the Immortal above her, she felt so frail and powerless compared to such a monstrous beast. (Lvl 10, 3000/3000) "Mystic Plasma Zone increases my monster's ATK by 500, and lowers its defense by 400." (3500/2600) "I'll end this quickly, for your sake," she told Strata. "Earthbound Immortal Uru can attack my opponent directly. It's over. Hell Thread!" Uru's eyes gleamed and it raised its head, launching a massive strand of webbing at her opponent. Lily turned away before impact.
Raine
Seriph looked disappointed, " Why? Kirn, why? Why do you refuse to listen to reason?". See Asmodeus, this is the corrupt this is the world ruthless." Seriph took a step, "Surly you see it. Are you so blind to ignore all the pain, all the poverty, all of the darkness. I have answers and ways to rid of this worlds imperfections." Seriph looked down at his clenched fist then glared at Kirin, " Will you aid me? Will you fight against me? Must I defeat you to get though to you? Or must I defeat you to rid of you? Answer me that. I end my turn."
Dementuo
Strata's arm started glowing, revealing his Tail birthmark. He prepared for an impact. "Guess this is it... I'll need to do better next time..." Strata thought. Strata took the full force of the attack. It knocked him through the glass wall, and against the cold metal of the station. "Urgh... Just... What... Was that... Thing...?" Strata thought before falling to the ground, injured and unconcious. A few nearby duelists ran for a medic which carried Strata over to a medical bay nearby. -MEANWHILE- Leuneth had witnessed the summoning of Uru, Strata's defeat, and his leave. He simply looked over to where Strata had landed. His blue flame pendant glowed for a second, then he vanished into a cloud of blue fire. -MEANWHILE- Strata started dreaming while he was unconcious. He was standig in the middle of a dark room. There was a card floating out in front of him. "This is..." Strata looked at the card. He looked up at the sound of footsteps two seconds later. Leuneth was standing there. "You've met a terrible fate, haven't you?" Leuneth said, with a certain tone of satisfaction to his voice. Strata looked at him. "You've got to be kidding me." Strata said. Leuneth turned away. "I didn't say anything... Yet." Leuneth said. "But, if you must, then no." Leuneth said. He began to walk away from Strata. "Hold on a second. What exactly is this supposed to be for? And who are you?" Strata asked, refering to the card. Leuneth continued to walk away. "You'll know the answers to those questions when the time comes." Leuneth said. He then vanished into the blue flame again. He reappeared back at the observation platform. He walked down to where Lily was. "...Even I must agree with that boy. That was a fate worse than death." Leuneth said. "You would do well to remember the powers these cards hold." Leuneth said. "You don't want to meet a terrible fate like that boy." evilfusion
Lily winced at the sound of glass shattering and snuck a glance towards her opponent, momentarily alarmed at the force of Uru's attack. Despite this, she felt a great sense of satisfaction from the Immortal as the Duel holograms faded away. She deactivated her disk and swept away quickly, knowing her move had probably not gone unnoticed. A monster as big and powerful as Uru...no way no one overlooked THAT, especially when her opponent was sure to suffer dearly for the attack. She raised an eyebrow at Leuneth's comment. "I haven't forgotten. I chose the best move for the situation...and hit gold," she mused. The flash of red on the boy's arm...that hadn't been an ordinary mark. If the rumors were true...well, he was fortunate to be alive, wasn't he? "And one more thing," she said, looking at the Infernity Dark Signer even as he walked away. "Please stop emulating the Happy Mask Salesman."

"How do I know that the 'light' is the right thing to follow? Anyways, I'll let this duel decide what I do! Alright, it's my turn!" Kirin announced, drawing a card. "I activate my Trap Card, Plant Food Chain!" he called, as he a root hooked on to one of the two Tytannial (ATK 1400 ->1900). "Now, Tytannial, attack Asmodeus now!" Dementuo
Leuneth raised an eyebrow at Lily's last comment. "...The what? I'm sorry, my childhood wasn't as good as yours, though yours can't have been too much better, for it to come to this." Leuneth said. "...Hmph. Either way, he is one of the ones you are looking for." Leuneth said. Leuneth turned back towards the observation platform. "I see no other reason to be here, if you understand what needs to be done." Leuneth said. "...Though we shall meet again." Leuneth said under his breath. He began to walk towards the observation platform again, but instead went pas it towards Akarui's duel. "...So this is another one of them. It will be interesting watching his reactions and his fighting style. Perhaps I will learn more about him this way..." Leuneth thought. -MEANWHILE- Sven looked down at the viewpoint, where Uru's image was now. "What in the bloody hell just happened?! What are these beasts doing out of their ruins in Nazca?!" Sven said. "These should not have returned. They will no doubt force the evolution of the Stardust user..." Sven said. "Ven. Rasgo. I will return. I must alter history in any way I can to eliminate them. We cannot let history repeat itself any longer. While I am gone, Ven, you will keep things under control from here. Tell me if anything interesting happens." Sven said as he unsheathed his sword, and cut into another rift.
evilfusion
Lily merely smiled and walked away. For now, she could relax, until the next challenger came her way. She preferred to savor victory, and it was the last time in the tournament she was likely to be able to curb Uru's desire to destroy their opponents in a life-depleting duel. The Immortal was reluctant to spare the boy, and even if he was one of the group's greatest foes, this one time, she would be merciful. She may come to regret it, but for now, she would be content with the spoils of victory. She could have done much more, like use Uru's effect to steal Blackfeather Dragon. With her opponent injured, she would technically have been able to keep the card, but no...the humiliation would have been excessive. -- Ven, unlike Sven, seemed rather amused by the Immortal's appearance, and more than a little alarmed at his colleague's frantic decision. "I don't think that'll..." he began, but Sven had already gone. He sighed and shook his head. It was too late to alter history now. To do so would risk jeopardizing everything the tournament was weighing on. With the Immortals running amok, they'd force more energy from the Signers to complete the circuit, and although Ven had advised keeping Stardust from evolving, he noted that the duelist that Uru had battled had used Blackfeather Dragon: one of the Synchros they WANTED to evolve instead. More interestingly, the duelist hadn't been killed, so the defeat should squeeze more determination from him. "So rash," he sighed, of Sven's action. Then, he settled himself to continue monitoring. Time Psyduck
Rin was sat on a bench. Oddly, no-one else seemed to have come the same way she did. "Maybe coming out this far was unnecessary," she said to herself, standing up. I would expect that some people have finished duelling by this point. I suppose if I want to duel I'll have to go back that way. The thought of staying away until the last few duelists were around had ocurred to her, but there were two other factors: First, there was probably some system that would disqualify her if she didn't duel or at least look for one, and second, the people who got to the later stages may well clock up quite a few wins, meaning she'd have to beat them more often. She walked into another area, where there were a few more people, and began looking around to see who was free to duel.

The voice spoke to her taking more shape as a second personality in her body. "Now it's time to test our deck." It spoke to her. As they walked around the station she asked. "What's your name?" "My name? You may call me Shadow." The voice replied. "Now lets found us a duel shall we." "Yes we shall." She Replied.
