"First, I'll activate Black Whirlwind. Then, I'll summon Blackwing - Shura the Azure Flame. Because I Normal Summoned a Blackwing monster, Black Whirlwind activates! Now I can add this card to my hand: Blackwing, Kalut - The Moon Shadow. Next, because I control another Blackwing monster, I can Special Summon Blackwing - Bora the Spear and Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind. Lastly, I'll set two cards and end my turn." Strata said.

His facedowns undoubtedly will counter more straightforward means of battle, but that does not mean I am helpless.[/i]

"I Summon Stygian Street Patrol!" Lily announced, placing the card onto her disk. A revving sound filled the field and a fiend atop a motorcycle burst from the Summoning Portal. (Lvl 4, 1600/1200) "I attack Blackwing-Gale!"

The fiend revved the engines and torpedoed towards Gale, raising a nightstick to strike the bird.

Strata said as a small junky scarecrow appeared from the card that flipped up, and blocked the attack. It then recessed into its card, and returned face-down. "I'm not about to waste a Kalut on something so simple." Strata said. "I have to save it for later, when I might need it." Strata thought. "And next turn, if I can draw a good card, then I'll be able to finish this duel fairly quickly... But I still should be cautious. I don't want to get caught in a trap." Strata thought. "I don't know why, but I'm getting an eerie feeling from her..." Strata thought.

"Quick Play Magic, Mystical Space Typhoon. I target your other facedown card," Lily said casually, not caring about the Scrap Iron Card, or Kalut's preservation. [i]That's good, now I know the identity of that card, but it doesn't worry me.[/i] A spiral of wind emerged from her spell, firing towards Strata's facedown card.

Stygian Street Patrol was intercepted by a pile of junk and bounced off, revving its engine threateningly. "I finish by placing two cards facedown on the field and ending my turn," Lily said, flashing a small smirk in Strata's direction. "It's your move now."

The card destroyed had been a Dark Bribe. "No sense in giving you another card." Strata said. "Alright, my turn." Strata drew once more. "Because I control exactly 3 Blackwing monsters, I'm allowed to activate Delta Crow - Anti Reverse from my hand!" Strata said as a card depicting an explosion appeared. The card then proceeded to explode, sending the blast towards Lily's face-down cards. "With this, IF she doesn't counter this, then I'll have a clear stretch for my attack! And with that, if I play correctly, then I'll be able to summon out my ace this turn!" Strata thought.

[i]So, I did get a good read on the situation,[/i] Lily mused. "I activate Shrink! Shura's ATK points are halved until the End Phase!" she stated, her Spell causing Shura to minimze. Her other facedown card shattered as if it had never existed, but she gave him a small smile. "Do go on," she said. This was already turning out to be an interesting Duel, just the sort of warmup she was hoping for. Her Stygian Street Patrol eyed the three monsters, as if knowing it was doomed.

This makes Shura more powerful that your monster! Now Shura, Attack!" Strata ordered, as the bird-like creature clawed at the other monster.

"Now, by Shura's effect, when he destroys a monster through battle, I can Special Summon another Blackwing monster with 1500 or less Attack from my deck! I summon Blackwing - Vayu the Emblem of Honor!" Strata said as the fourth bird appeared. "Now I'll attack you directly with each of my monsters!" Strata said.

"Now, durin my Main Phase two, I tune my Bora with my Gale! Darkened Gales, become the wings that soar from gathered hope! Synchro Summon! Blackwing Armor Master!" Strata said. "Now, I tune my level 7 Armor Master with my level 1 Vayu! Normally, this wouldn't be possible. However, because Vayu was summoned by Shura's effect, Vayu's effect is negated! Meaning that he's OK to Synchro with! Now! Darkened gales, become the wigs that soar from resolved hope! Synchro Summon! Soar, Black Feather Dragon!" Strata called as his ace monster appeared "Turn End!"

Lily winced at each blow, grimancing. "Not bad," she stated coolly.

She watched passively at the two Synchro Summons, and her eyes widened upon seeing Blackfeather Dragon. She couldn't place her shock, but a nameless vibe of alarm had awakened upon seeing that Dragon monster, and her arm throbbed, where the Spider Mark was placed. It may have been her imagination, but Uru seemed bloodthirsty now, as if it had just spotted a fly.

"My turn!" she snapped, for a moment losing her cool demeanor. She looked at her drawn card, then at the field. "I Summon Sangan!" A small, three-eyed fiend appeared, hissing. (Lvl 3, 1000/600) "Then I set two cards and end my Turn!"

Then, I'm tributing it to Special Summon Tytannial, Princess of Camellias from my Deck!" Kirin exclaimed as an elegant being blossomed from its flower. "Following this, I'm activating the Field Spell Black Garden, which overrides your Sanctuary!" Kirin called as the giant structure dissipated from around them, replacing itself with a black, viney jungle-like terrain. "Now, I'm attacking your Nova Summoner with my Tytannial" Kirin declared as the flowery princess shot a barrage of petals at the miniature fairy.

If she would more thing for me, then my field will be set for the next phaseof my plan..." Strata thought. "If I can keep these two on the field for one more turn... Then I'll be able to summon this guy..." Strata looked at the card he had just drawn. "Almost there. Almost to victory."

"I sacrifice Sangan for Dark Ruler Ha Des!" she announced, her smaller fiend glowing and fading away, being replaced with a large cloaked fiend with a malicious greed face, horns juting from its head. In one hand, it swirled a glass of wine, it then let out a cackle. (Lvl 6, 2450/1600)

"Sangan was sent to the Graveyard from the field, so I add one monster with 1500 ATK or less from my deck to my hand," Lily explained, slipping a card and showing it to her opponent. "I choose Dark Resonator," she said, then smiled. "I'll my turn with that, however. Your Scrap Iron Scarecrow is such a nuisance."

"When he's successfully summoned, Spells and Traps can't be activated! However, I can't declare an attack this turn. It doesn't matter to me, though. I have plenty of time. In the meantime, I'll set a card." Strata said. "Now, I'll tune my Level 4 Bora with my Level 3 Corona to Synchro Summon another Armor Master!" Strata said. "Now, I end my turn."

"Very interesting," Lily mused. "During the End Phase, when your effect wears off, I activate Call of the Haunted to bring back my Stygian Street Patrol!" (Lvl 4, 1600/1200) "Now it's my turn!" she announced drawing a card and inspecting the field. So now she was facing two Synchro monsters, an unknown facedown card, a Kalut in hand, and Scrap Iron Scarecrow. She needed to go on the offensive quickly, or else she'd be overwhelmed by his cards.

"I Summon Dark Resonator!" she announced. A fiend carrying a tuning fork appeared, grinning. (Lvl 3, 1300/300)

"I tune my Level 3 Dark Resonator with my Level 4 Street Patrol!" Dark Resonator broke apart into 3 green rings, and the motorcyle drove through it, dissolving into 4 glowing stars, which aligned as a pillar within the rings. A beam of light pierced through, and in its place was a strange fiendish monster.

"Chaos King Archfiend!" (Lvl 7, 2600/2600)

"Chaos King Archfiend, attack his Blackfeather Dragon! When Chaos King Archfiend declares an attack, all my opposing monster's ATK and DEF are switched until the End of the Battle Phase, and Blackfeather's defense is 1600!" [i]Even if he uses Scrap Iron, Ha Des can still attack this turn and destroy his Blackfeather Dragon...[/i]

"No! I won't let you destroy Black Feather Dragon so easily! Trap Card, Open! Negate Attack!" Strata said as a large blast of energy began to push back Chaos King Archfiend. "I'm sire you know what this does. It negates your attack, and ends the Battle Phase! Meaning that unless you can respond, you can't get to my Black Feather Dragon this turn!" Strata said. "I can't let Black Feather Dragon be destroyed so easily... I have to keep him on the field! I won't let the symbol of hope O've guarded for so long be destroyed like that!" Strata thought.

"That's fine," Lily said, although her disappointment showed. "I set a card facedown and call it quits for this turn," she said, crossng her arms. Both of her fiends hissed unpleasantly at the opponent. She was trailing by almost 4000 LP and he had an advantage in firepower and effects. However, she wasn't about to give up. She needed to defeat him to accomplish her dream, and pay her debt to Uru. The Immortal was restless, angry that she had been countered so often this duel. But even though the situation was a little grim, Lily was sure she could win.

Tytannial was hurling toward Seriph, his eyes were shaded by the shadows of the field. "...Oh , you are just a treat." A dark smile came across his face. "I activate my face down trap "Twinkle Wall" which allows me to negate 1 of your attacks. However I take damage equal to half your monsters ATK." A barrier surrounded Nova Summoner blocking Tytannial's attack then it consecrated into a ball and began toward Seriph. "I then send my Hanewata from my hand to the grave to negate all effect damage this turn." A tranparent Hanewata appeared braced its self and the attack hit on and destroyed. "See you thought i was in trouble. But now I'm okay you can stop worrying about me," laughed Seriph. "Oh just an FWI for my Twinkle card you can't activate any more traps or spells until the end phase." Seriph smile continued, "Any questions?"

"Well, then...it seems I'll have to put some effort into this worthless game if I'm going to get any answers" Kirin thought, planning his next move while looking at the two cards he had left in his hand. "Well, with these cards, I can't do much, but that may change next turn" he stopped looking at his cards and looked at Seriph. "I don't expect this to be easy, but we'll just see what happens" he explained.

Seriph drew, "No rebuttal, am I asking too much?"Seriph drifted his gaze to stare at Kirin, "Man with the Hind Claws. I summon "White Warrior-Snow the Rope Dart," The monster appeared on the field and a rose token appeared on Krin's. "Now I syncro summon with Nova Summoner and White Warrior." White Warrior burst into 4 rings and Nova Summoner turned into 4 stars, "Align to create power, bring forth an unstoppable light and let it be unquenchable with the simple destruction of thy enemy. Come forth my grand palidan, Avenging Knight Parshath (ATK 2600 DEF: 2100)," A brilliant light shone fading to reveal a radiantly glowing armored winged centaur. He smiled, "Parshath... Kirin take a good look this is my monster your enemy, fear him." Suddenly vines stretched around Parshath (ATK: 1300 DEF: 1050) and a Rose token appeared on Kirin's field. "Parshath activate your effect switch Tytannial to defense mode (DEF: 2600). Now my knight strike him down Shining Sword". Parshath charged toward Tytannial, "Now i send Honest from my hand to the graveyard to increase Parshath's ATK by your monsters ATK." Parshath was covered in a bright aura (ATK: 1300 -> 4100), "Parshath crush him. Oh and Kirin remember that Parshath inflicts piercing damage".

"Fair enough..." Kirin muttered, his life points dropping to 2500. "Well, let's see what else you've got....and also, about your remark, what do you mean by 'Hind Claw'?" Kirin asked, wanting answers. "Well, if I don't want to use the heavy hitter, I'll just find another way to deal with this situation" he thought, deciding on a combination in his hand. "That Parshath has to go now..." he continues, thinking over his possibilities. "And I think I have just the way to do it" he smirked. "Alright, let's keep going, shall we?"

"You possess an odd anomaly something which I have heavily studied only to find dead end after dead end. You Kirin are a member of the signers according to legend to have the responsibility of carrying the hind claws of an infamous dragon. As such you supposedly have the ability to call upon great power." Seriph raised his arms and looked up, "It is this power I seek and believe me this, you will help me". He held his hand toward Kirin, "Perhaps you can join my crusade, to join the light." Seriph smiled, "It is futile, to fight the light".
Seriph lowered his arm, "I end my turn by placing one card face-down." Seriph looked up at Kirin and thought, you will help me whether you want to or not.

The flaming blossom appeared as a Rose Token (ATK 800/DEF 800) appeared on Seriph's side of the field. Then, almost immediately, Lonefire Blossom's flame ignited. "Now, I'm using its effect, which allows me to Special Summon a plant monster from my deck by Tributing my Rose Token...." The Rose Token exploded, and replaced itself with a giant, monstrous, mutated-looking plant. "Meet Gigaplant! (ATK 1200/DEF 600) Now, I'm going to place a card face-down and pass it back to you" Kirin announced, slipping a card into his Duel Disk.

SHINING SWORD!" Airknight raised his sword emitting a blinding light switching Gigaplant to defense mode then charged toward it. "Face the power of what you have been deprived of. This world, these people are so dark living in the shadows. I come only to let them see hope and future, Why anyone would continue to purposeful live in cruelty, unfairness, and anarchy world muust mean they have been lured and chained to it." Seriph looked now directly at Kirin, "A famous philosopher once said 'life is nasty, brutish, and short' (first one to guess who said that gets a pat on the back). What is wrong with trying to the best of your abilities to show people away from that dark dimension. I will show them the light." Seriph laughed and Parshath was closing in on Gigaplant.

A giant wall of piercing spikes emerged out of the ground, appearing between Gigaplant and Parshath. "Well, now, I would love to see a counter" Kirin sneered. "But, as far as this turn goes, what more can you do?" Kirin shrugged.

Nikki felt the power of another Dark Signer dueling. "I wonder who that could be..." Nikki thought as she tried to locate the duel. Eventually, she made her way to a dome where she saw the hooded, female Dark Signer dueling a teenager. "What is she doing?" Nikki thought upon seeing the Life Point difference between them, along with the field position. "She'd better pull off something quick, or else this is going to be nasty..."

As soon as Athena was summoned Zero activated 1 of his face down cards, [color=blue]I'll activate my Twin Summoning, when you special summon a monster I can special summon monsters from my deck whose total level is equal to yours so first I'll bring out 2 Morphtronic Magnen along with 1 Morphtronic Celfon, and with the 2 Magnen you can't attack any of my monsters so it looks like I'm safe for right now at least.[/color] When Athena appeared on the field all three monsters appeared an Zero's field.

Katsuya walked down the hallways observing every duel that had caught his eye. Scouting out his next opponent to face his deck. He finds a seat and begins to sit down and observe the duel in fron of him. He had seen one field full of Magnet-like monsters.

[i]I've heard of those monsters. They're capable of doing a lot of damage if played well. Maybe I should try against him when he's done. Let's ask when he's done.[/i]

Katsuya redied his duel disk on his arm and looked at the top of his deck. There laid one of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon's. Katsuya thought to himself, blocking out everyone else around him.
