The White Wolf
Attention: I am putting this here to prove I still have control, this RP is accepting ALL APPS no matter what point of the RP we're in (only good detailed apps will be accepted) - Akarui was walking down the street, thinking "(I heard of the time when my..... I dunno HOW many greats grandfather was alive.... it seems as if technology hasn't advanced that much in 2000 years...... weird..... well, back then cars had wheels, now they float hahaha.....)" Akarui thought. He pulled his deck out, he had one card he never added to his deck. That card descended from generation to generation in the Fudo family..... "..." he just stared at the card. He pulled his backpack off his back and opened it, he pulled out the Duel Board inside. He then got suited up to ride. Once he did he continued down to where he was going.... Dementuo
Strata looked out at the ocean from atop what the remains of the Dedaulus Bridge. He was looking over a few cards he had managed to get for the orphans that he took care of. "Let's see here..." He began shuffling through the pile of cards. He came across one that he immediately recognized. "Heh... So there was one still left. Well, it took me a while to get these, and none of those kids' decks would use this card... I guess I'll hang onto it." Strata put the card into his deck, which was attached to his waist. He then continued to shuffle through the cards. -MEANWHILE- Sven looked out over Neo Domino City from one of the few remaining viewpoints used by the original Yliaster (OOC: I just refer to tha little techno void as a viewpoint). "It certaintly has been a while since I saw such a sight... And soon, I won't have to see it anymore." Sven thought. "Now then... I suppose I should stay low for now... I don't want anyone finding me here..." Sven continued. -MEANWHILE- Strata had finished looking through the cards, and had sorted them into small groups. Each group went with one of the kids' decks. "Heh, this should make them happy." Strata began to walk back towards the shelter he had made. As he did, he pulled out his two pendants that he wore around his neck. He opened the first one, which was shaped like a card, and also contained a card. "Black Feather Dragon..." He then looked at his other pendant, a small, black feather. "This was always a sign of hope in my family... Shown by that one... The one who looked after my ancestors so many years ago... Crow Hogan." Strata thought. He put away the two pendants, and looked at the sky. "I wonder how Akarui is doing? Maybehe'll know a little more about this..." Strata pulled up the sleeve that covered his left forearm. There, a deep crimson color, was a marking of a tail. "I still don't know what this is... Maybe I'll see Akarui on my way back." Strata put the cards he was carrying into a small holster on the belt that held his deck, picked up the Duel Board that he had left hidden by the shop he got the cards at, and rode off towards his shelter. !Supra¡
In a medium-sized suburban home, Max was in his room getting ready to leave the house. "Alright, I have everything I need. Time to go." Max took a jacket from out of his closet and put it on himself after closing the closet door. Max walked downstairs and exited his house. "Well, it looks like I have time to go to the shop. Might as well...." Max placed his hover duel board on the ground and stepped onto it. After activating it, Max proceeded towards the local game shop. "Huh, I hadn't noticed but today looks like a rather busy day. There's people everywhere, especially near the game shop. I wonder what's going on?" Max stopped his duel board and got off of it. After picking it up, Max walked towards the crowd gathering around the game shop. "Excuse me. Pardon." Max said as he squeezed through the crowd. "Huh?" Everybody was gathering for a preview of the Tournament of the Stars. "Whoa, it's talking about that huge tournament. Oops, almost forgot why I was here in the first place." Max, after squeezing out of the crowd, entered the game shop. "Let's see what I can use to boost up my deck's performance...." Max pondered on as he looked through the aisles of booster packs. "Hmm.... Ehh.... Doesn't seem to have anything useful.... Oh well, guess I'll just get going." Max then left the game shop. -Elsewhere- "Well.... I would say that's game over.... Hmm?...." a cloaked man said in the shadow towards a struggling duelist on the ground. "I guess that'll have to do.... Still.... boredom is haunting me...." the cloaked man said as he walked away into the shadows. Later on, the cloaked man appeared at an abandoned factory. "Hmm.... Guess there's nothing interesting here as well.... What should I do now?" the cloaked man asked himself.
Raine
Seriph entered his condo in New Domino City. He undid the tie, "A drawback of wealth, very uncomfortable suits". Seriph walked hands behind his back to the large windowed wall revealing the heart of the city. Placing his hand against the glass, "Look at this city, beyond the gleaming building and so called civil society lies the peoples hearts, so full of darkness". Seriph bashed his hand against the glass, "I became champions, gained popularity, just to spread the light I offered," he bashed the glass again,"All futile, these petty titles mean nothing to these people. My word, nothing. Perhaps I should be more forceful..." Seriph turned and sat with his back against the glass, "No! Force is a root of darkness". Seriph retracted his deck from the holder attached to his belt and pulled out Neo-Parshath. "This is my weapon, I have to show them the power of light." Seriph sighed and looked up, "Is there no better way to lead the people to the light?". He rose to his feet, put away his deck, and began toward his bedroom. Then the phone rang. evilfusion
"Wanting to lie low," Ven scoffed, addressing no one in particular. True, the roads of the city were often dull and uneventful, but he knew them better than his colleagues and so felt secure venturing out in order to scout for anything of interest. He shook his head pityingly. "A refusal to act is to accomplish nothing. It leads to stagnation, and I, of all people, will avoid stagnation." He chuckled to himself. Besides, if the word is true, then soon something very interesting will be going down, and I want all the edge we can accumulate before the show. The man raised his head and scanned the streets in front of him. He had to admit he felt rather foolish, riding what was otherwise known as a Duel Board, but specially modified so he actually didn't have to do much to steer and control it, and it had more room to accomodate his larger size. He was, after all, an adult. He was dressed in a flowing gray cloak, but presently had the hood down so that his neatly groomed silver-gray hair rustled in the wind, mirroring the flowing of his robe. On his right wrist, a small device sat, inconspicuous and compact in nature. That was how he preferred it. Part of him wanted to find an opponent for a "fun" match, while the other, more logical part of him wanted to continue his monotonous scouting. "Hmm...a card shop, a typical place to find an opponent," Ven mused, slowing down to a near stop when he saw the building, busy as usual.
The White Wolf
Akarui was distracted, he kept on thinking "Yusei's ace card..." Akarui stated as he thought about the legendary Stardust Dragon, it seemed as if everyone had forgot about that card, he intended to show it to them again.... in the Tournament of the Stars.... As he kept on riding distracted, he noticed an air ship in the skies, a hologram of an MC appeared for all of Neo Domino to see. "Ladies and Gentlemen! Duelists of all ages! The Tournament of the Stars starts tomorrow! You'd better get your decks ready! This tournament is going to have it all! And it's all your choice! The classic normal Duel, the fun strategical Tag Duel! AND EVERYBODY'S FAVORITE! THE ONE! THE ONLY! TURBO DUEL!" the MC declared. Akarui had his eyes wide open "IT WAS SUPPOSED TO START NEXT WEEK!" he yelled, probably loud enough for all of Neo Domino to hear. He knew that over 10,000 duelists were entering, and over 100,000,000 people were gonna be watching it on TV. He sped up to get down to Strata's shelter. Barian Warlord
Zero was relaxing on top of a skyscraper watching the city, he felt kinda funny up there seeing as people said only dumb people like high places and well he liked them. One of his favorite places was on top of towers, he could watch people and it was one of his greatest joys, seeing families together and people dueling. He tried to remember his past but nothing could come to mind, all he could do was look at his right arm and the mark that was on it, he wondered what it meant it seemed to perfect to be a birth mark and it didn't look like a tattoo either. Dementuo
Strata had been dueling with the orphans for a while, and had given them the cards he got. "Alright, you kids, I'll see you later." Strata said cheerfully. As he walked outside, he noticed the blimp that was passing through Neo Domino. "Tomorrow...?! That's not good... I haven't even finished my deck yet... Guess I'll have to hurry." Strata thought. Before he could actually do anything, he noticed Akarui riding towards his shelter. "Akarui? What's he doing here...? Guess it's about the tournament." Strata walked over to where Akarui would most likely see him, and waited for him to stop. -MEANWHILE- Sven noticed Ven out on the streets. "Hmph... Idiot. He'll attract attention that way..." Sven thought out loud. He looked through the viewer from atop his "throne" and switched over to where the tournament would take place. "Hm... If I went there, then I would attract unwanted attention to myself, but I would have the perfect chance to eliminate that infernal dragon before its evolutions are reawakened by that kid... No. This is not my time. Not yet." Sven thought out loud again.
evilfusion
Ven showed no surprise to the announcement. He had known that already. But judging by some of the reactions from the duelists near him, they had NOT been informed of the change before now. Of course they haven't. It's been highly classified and rumors were allowed to flourish, he thought to himself, chuckling. It seemed that it was true; most of mankind did not adjust to changes and their fates were threatened with stagnation. He turned to observe the duelists around him and their reactions to the news and chuckled again. Maybe one of them would be interested in a game to see how well their deck would perform, with 6 days of playtesting removed.
Zextra
A hooded figure breezed through the streets of Domino City. Once he reached an intersection where two men (Akarui and Strata) were talking, the mark on his right arm began to glow. "Oh, not this again..." he muttered as he slowly approached the two. "The Tournament of the Stars is coming...time to figure out the truth behind this" he thought as he took out a card showing a glowing blue dragon with multiple crystals protruding in the background. "Hmm....it seems someone else has a card similar to this" he noticed as the card starting to glow. "Hello there, you two" he said softly. "I assume you guys are here for the Tournamet?" he asked, trying to ask politely, though it was unlike him to start a conversation. He looked at the two, but glanced down at his arm. He felt a sensation, auras coming from the two men similar to his own. "Could they bear this too?" he asked, slightly shocked.
Raine
Seriph sat on his modern white couch and lifted the phone from the receiver. "SERIPH, where the hell are you". The voice was so loud that Seriph had to pull away from the phone, "You might be my manager but that does not mean you can speak to me like that. Now, calmly, tell me what I need to hear". The manager began, "I noticed you haven't registered for a new tournament". Seriph leaned back to a more relaxed position, "Another tournament, this is becoming a nuisance. Let me at least refrain from this one, I need to rest". The manager began to intensify his voice again, "Seriph, this is the "The Tournament of the Stars" the historic first space tournament. This tournament will go down in history, HISTORY. Seriph stood, now interested, "How intriguing, when does it plan to start". "WHAT? DO YOU OWN A TELEVISION! Its been advertised by blimp, commercials, even Town Criers and Smoke Signals. How could you not of heard of it?." Seriph thought, he did have tunnel vision and a habit of thinking into space plus the fact he didn't own a television, "So be it, register me." The manager began, "Okay, I'll sig-", Seriph hung up the phone on him. A strange smirk twirled across face, "A Tournament in the Stars... that's perfect. A title worthy of recognition with the world watching my light and having it's radiance bath them and kill off their hearts of darkness". He placed his hands behind his head began to the bedroom yet again. "Magnificent," he said. Then he slept.
The White Wolf
It seemed as if Akarui was about to crash into Strata but he jumped off the Duel Board and got some major air and landed in front of Strata "Wassup! Did you hear!? The tournament starts TOMORROW! We need to make sure our decks are ready, so we duel, right here. Right now!" Akarui declared he grabbed his Duel Disk out of his bag and put it on, he loaded his deck into the Deck Slot, it was obvious he wasn't going to take no for an answer. His deck automatically shuffled and his Duel Disk activated, he took ten paces back and was ready to go. But once the man walked up to them, he looked at him and said nothing, he didn't move his position and the eyes on his three pendants glowed.... Dementuo
Strata wasn't even shocked by this. He pulled out his own deck, and his Duel Disk, and prepared to duel. "Yup, I heard. So, just decided to get some practice in before it started?" Strata asked. He then noticed the man who had approached them. "I'm sorry, we really don't have time to talk, but perhaps after the duel." Strata said. He then turned back to Akarui. "Before we start..." Strata pulled out Black Feather Dragon, and put it into his Duel Disk. "Alright, so who should go first, you or me?" Strata asked. -MEANWHILE- Sven had noticed a strange wave eminating from the viewpoint. "What...?! Two Signers... No... Three?! Already?" Sven sighed. "Well, this should be interesting..." Sven thought. "A duel between two Signers with a third in the background... This should prove to have interesting results..."
Raine
Seriph couldn't sleep. He was too interested in this tournament and was eager to see into it. He left his condo and boarded the elevator down to the parking garage. There a valet was waiting, Seriph quickly gestured toward him and said, "The duel runner". The valet disappeared momentarily and came back with a white duel runner with black detailing, Seriph handed him a small tip, attached on his helmet and began on his way. It was still Mid-day, the tournaments had caused him to sleep even during daylight hours, the streets were busy, he supposed it was the commotion caused by the tournament. A few minutes in he noticed two people with raised duel disks, having dueled so much he rarely had time to watch. He found a small 2-story business shop diagonal to the duel. He positioned himself on the rooftop and watched anxiety for the match to begin.
The White Wolf
"I have never used this card before...." Akarui stated as he placed the Stardust Dragon in his deck, "I'll go first." Akarui stated as he drew five cards and a sixth "(I'm gonna be showing my dueling strategy to a complete stranger..... ugh.)" Akarui thought. LP: 8000 "I summon Metal Warrior LV4! In attack mode!" Akarui declared [LV4 ATK: 1600] a black warrior that looked like it was made of metal appeared. It had a large claw with long purple glowing talons. It looked poison. The other arm was a shield. "Next I set one card face-down and end my turn." Akarui stated. Dementuo
Strata drew his five cards as well, and his sixth. "Yup. Same as always." Strata thought. "If anything, then that face-down will trigger if I either summon one of my Blackwings, try to destroy his Metal Warrior, or even level him up... Guess it's time I started using my other cards..." Strata thought through his turn. "Alright, first, I activate White Cyclone (response?)! Then, Black Whirlwind (response?)! Next, I'll Normal Summon my Blackwing - Sirroco the Dawn! You know how this works. He can be Normal Summoned without tribute when only you control a monster (response?) Next, I'll activate the effect of Black Whirlwind (response?)! I'll add Gale the Hurricane to my hand! Next, I'll Special Summon Gale (response?) and Bora the Spaer (response?)! Now then. When I control 2 or more Blackwing monsters, I can Special Summon Whitewing - Flare the Solar Rays (response?)! He's treated as a Blackwing monster, and also allows me to negate the effects of a face-up monster once per turn durim the Battle Phase!" Strata explained as four bird-like creatures appeared on his side. "Next, I'll pump up my Bora by using Sirroco's effect, raising him to a whopping 5400 (response?)! Next, I'll have Gale halve your Metal Warrior's ATK and DEF (response?)! Then, my Bora will attack!" Strata finished explaining as Bora drew power from the other three birds, and lunged towards the newly weakened warrior.
White Cyclone: Continuos Spell When you Normal Summon a "Whitewing" monster, you may add one "Whitewing" monster who's level is less than the summoned monster's level from your deck to your hand. During either player's Battle Phase, you can negate the effects of one face-up monster on the field until the End Phase. MrThatUnKewl
Maldito had been feeling weird about the upcoming tournament. "Ugh, I bet there is going to be a lot of tensions. I hate such situations." He looked at his Earthbound Immortal. "You're undoubtedly going to be more trouble than you're worth. But I guess I'm stuck with you." "That's not important anymore. You have a job to destroy the Signers. I would suggest finding allies. Uru also has been resurrected." Ccapac Apu told Maldito through a mental link. At that moment, waves of energy began washing over him. "Oh? This power must be that of the other." Perhaps there are allies or enemies here."
Buttercup
While all this totally awesome stuff was happening, Wan was slouched on a couch staring at a screen. "<Seen it. Seen it. Seen it. No.>" he murmured in Korean as he flicked through the channels. Suddenly, his phone rang. He picked it up with his feet, and flipped it next to his ear. "<Yup?>" he said, his eyes fixed on the screen. "<It's me, your teamate! Yo-Hwan!>" screamed a voice down his ear. "<Are you watching this?>" "<Watching what?>" asked Wan as he shifted his weight. "<The news! They've been playing it continuously for hours!>" said Yo-Hwan. "<Wait, wait.>" After a few rapid footsteps, a new female voice appeared on the phone. "<The Tournament of the Stars, the world's first Duel Monsters tournament in space, will start tomorrow. Representatives from all over the world are expected to turn out for this unique event.>" Then the voice disappeared. "<So, so! What do you think!>" said Yo-Hwan. "<I mean, it's unexpectedly soon, but the world's best duelists will be there! And us! We need to pack!>" "<Yes.>" said Wan as he hung up. The White Wolf
Akarui smiled as his monster was destroyed. In the smoke of the blast, unseen Akarui was laughing [LP: 8000 -> 12600]. As the smoke cleared, Akarui's Trap was revealed Rainbow Life, his hand was also one card short "You didn't think that I would let you destroy it so easily? Did you?" Akarui asked while laughing "You know I never let my Metal monsters out freely without a strategy, I've upped my game." Akarui stated with a smirk "I'm planning on making this an epic battle, Stardust Dragon vs Black-Winged Dragon.". He pointed to Strata's shelter "You hear that everybody?!" Akarui yelled. !Supra¡
Outside, Max was about to head to his next destination when he noticed a huge blimp passing by announcing the start of the tournament tommorow. "Huh? So the tournament's tommorow.... WHAT THE?! I forgot about that! Aww damn it! I better get home and prepare!" Max, in his rush, forgot about his duel runner and just ran towards the direction of his house. However, he was stopped when he bumped into a figure dressed in a gray cloak (Ven), causing Max to fall backwards. "Oof! Ouch.... Huh?" Max looked up to see the figure who was rather calm even though Max just bumped into him. "Uhh sorry there sir. I'll make sure to be careful next time." Max said as he stood up and gave an appologetic bow to the man. -Elsewhere- "Well, well Sven.... How do you think such a battle will turn out hmm?" the cloaked figure (Rasgo) asked from behind Sven. The cloaked figure raised his head up to reveal a calm smirk. "It should be interesting to see such a duel.... Maybe it will calm my for right now.... But it's such a pity to know that they might be using synchros.... How I wish I can destroy them right now.... Just a little while ago, I had the pleasure of destroying the synchros of a pathetic peon.... It was quite amusing to see him beg like a dog...." the cloaked figure said in a calm manner. Şäŗôķů
Raven was just walking around, with his cloak hood down, enjoying the wind blow through his hair. He was too busy watching his friends duel he failed to notice the man on the roof across from him. He saw Akarui's monster get destroyed but he gained Life Points thanks to his trap. "Good move." evilfusion
Ven grunted slightly when one person collided with him and he stumbled back a few paces, blinking at the one who had bumped him. The guilty boy swiftly apologized in a respectful manner and Ven allowed a pleasant smile to grace his face. "That's quite all right, no harm done," he said. He studied the boy thoughtfully for a moment. "Why are you in such a hurry, anyway?" he asked, keeping his tone casual and nonconfrontational. No need to make the lad uneasy for such a mild slight. !Supra¡
Max lightly blinked his eyes when asked the question by Ven. "Oh me? Well I don't know if you heard the announcement right now, but tommorow's the beginning of the Tournament of the Stars. You see I'm one of the participants and I was rushing home to prepare my things. I guess I was so much in a rush that I forgot I have a duel board which of course beats running, hehe." Max explained as he embarrassingly rubbed the back of his head. "By the way sir, if you don't mind me saying you look like a duelist to me. Are you in the tournament as well? Umm, also.... Why are you wearing that gray cloak? It's kinda creepy actually.... OOPS! Uhh, hehe, I don't mean to say you're a creep or anything, but what I mean is- Uhh.... Oh boy...." evilfusion
"Yes, I heard the announcement. I rarely leave my preparations for the last minute," Ven said, as if gently chastising the boy. He paused a moment, considering the next question. "I am involved in the tournament, and you are quite right in speculating that I'm a duelist." He smiled briefly and gestured to his outfit. "I prefer not to wear tight clothing. When one gets uncomfortable during a duel or even their everyday life, it takes a toll on many of their actions and judgment. It's also a matter of style. I take no offense." He laughed quietly. "If you are already in possession of a board, why the rush to fetch it? The tournament is not now, and Turbo Duels is only one third of the possible types." He smirked slightly. "I'm interested in your talent as a duelist. Would you accept a challenge of mine? You can choose the form of duel if you accept. I may have a spare board if you're interested in a Turbo game." --- Lily sat outside a cafe, sipping a cup of coffee. She was not dressed in her usual black robe, feeling it would draw unwanted attention in public, but the sleeve of her black shirt took care to conceal the Spider mark upon her arm. For some time, she had wondered whether there were others of her type, those spared by the Immortals. Uru had given indication that it was the first of several that would revive. Yet so far she had seen nothing to hint at others.
