iAmNateXero
Hi all, Names Nate! Some people know me by other names, but you can all call me Nate. So im alway surfing through the YCM Forums (although i chat more in the TCG section.) and it came to my attention that alot of people doubt many cards before they are released. I don't know why, mabey its because were so used to things the way they are, that mabey change is undesirable. Since the very beginning i have attended sneak preview after sneak preview and the same routine follows. People come in and starts opening packs, and me and my crew set out to grab Every rare in the set. One thing we do that i found out others doesn't is stay on top of spoilers. So when the cards comes out, it already decided what we want and what were setting out for. This includes the "Useless" (TCG Section) Yubel. For all those that doesn't know Yubel's effect please click Here (I will also post the images of the cards that are in Bold at the bottom of the page. THIS ALSO MEANS THAT SO IT ISN'T TO MAKE THIS PAGE LOAD SLOWLY FOR OUR DIAL UP USERS, PLEASE DO NOT QUOTE THIS ENTIRE POST, JUST THE PARTS OF IT YOU WISH TO COMMENT) The basics of this deck is of to Own the duel with Yubel, that much is a given, but how to do it? There are many ways, but i think the Tomato Juice / Monster Gate Way is the fastest. Let me explain. Yubel is a 10 stared monster that if normal summoned would require 2 tributes. W all know that this is a no-no. Now lets just take a look at Yubel's Effect shal we? "This card is not destroyed by battle. If this face-up Attack Position card is attacked by your opponent's monster, inflict damage equal to the ATK of the attacking monster to your opponent. All Battle Damage to this card's controller that they take from a battle involving this card becomes 0. During your End Phase, this card is destroyed, unless you Tribute 1 monster you control. If this card is destroyed by an effect other than its own, you can Special Summon 1 "Yubel - Terror Incarnate" from your hand, Deck or Graveyard." This monster also happens to be a Dark 0 ATK Creature. Thus The Tomato Juice. Now some people are thinking that, hey this guy is great search so Lets spam him! WOOT! Wrong! Think about how dead a card would be in your hand? You can't Trade it in, your best bet would be to Card Trader, but that creates unnessary cards doesn't it? But than again, with just 1 of them, it wouldnt make for such a great deck. In this case 2 is the magic number. SO lets look at the deck so far. 3X Mystic Tomato2X Yubel Now lets look at that cost again, "During your End Phase, this card is destroyed, unless you Tribute 1 monster you control." If we look at the set that this little monster comes out in, than you may be inclined to use Sacrifice Lotus Now for this deck, it wouldn't be a bad idea to use this creature, and it could even create the perfect little lure for an attack, but we will talk about that latter. The only thing i dislike about this card is the fact that comes into atk mode with 0 atk. And if it survives up to your standby phase you loose 1000 LP. Not fond of loosing unnecessary Lp. But it fits the theme, so lets go for it. And while were at it, lets throw in treeborn while were at it. Its just as good, just not a dark. 3X Mystic Tomato2X Yubel1X Sacrifice Lotus1X Treeborn Frog Now lets move on to the Staple Monster, our beloved Sangan. This is the heart of our deck. You already know why, so lets just continue with the Second form of Yubel-Terror Incarnate. Now this is the bread winner. This is the guy that is going to make your deck what it is. Lets look at the effect, "This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Yubel". This card cannot be destroyed by battle. If this face-up Attack Position card is attacked by your opponent's monster, damage equal to the ATK of the attacking monster is inflicted to your opponent. Battle Damage to the controller of this card becomes 0. During your End Phase, destroy all monsters on the field except this card. If this card is removed from the field, you can Special Summon 1 "Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare" from your hand, Deck or Graveyard." How COOL IS THIS?! the destruction of all monsters beside that at the end phase of the turn?! This is KiCK ARSE! anyway, were totally decking two of these. Now the problem is how do gain an offensive and defensive strategy when you cant deplete your opponents LP down with simply 0 atk monsters? Hmmm... thinking about this kinda makes me hungrey for some chicken... a big fat 2400 chicken... *drool* Wait what am i talking about, Why not use the Sacred Phoenix?! It almost seems like a match maid in heaven doesn't it? Two Effects, one to destroy all Spell and traps, another to destroy all Monsters. But here is the kicker, it seams like this is your only assault rifle, so lets throw 3 of these hawt mamma's in. SO Lets recap the monster list, oh and while were at it lets add a lil more support for the Chicken, and the Chicken Finger (get the joke? HAND of Nepher... what ever... _-_) 3x Mystic Tomato2x Yubel2x Yubel-Terror Incarnate1x Sangan3x Chicken! *BOCK!* (Sacred Phoenix)2x Chicken Fingers *Cluck! (Hand of Nephthys)2x Apprentice Magician Id say its commin along quite nicely, but this is all just the front setup, we all know Traps Protect the game, but Spells Make the game, so lets Make it happen shall we? Okay, I think we covered the speed aspect of the deck. Within a few attacks of your monsters, or a few of your own attacks you can basically make this happen. But to help with the control or the flow of things, lets add some Foolish Burials and some Monster Gates. I would say two Foolish, and 3 Gates. Of course were gonna use things like, Brain control, to assist with the tributing for the pheonix or yubels cost. Heavy storm, Premature Burial, and Reasoning. Interesting Fact. Did you know that reasoning has to keep filtering through until you come across a monster that can be normal summoned? That means if you happen to come across yubel's other transformation it would simply be sent to the graveyard until you pick up another monster. SO in a sense, most people are going to call either 4, 10, or 8. You of course could care less if its a four, your just trying to filter until you get to your chicken. Once your chicken is out, game is pretty much a rap for your opponent. But we still need some After setup installments. This includes your MST, your Crossout / Shield Crush, your Heavy storm, and hmmm... Well, we'll come back to this section. So we got... 3x Mystic Tomato2x Yubel2x Yubel-Terror Incarnate1x Sangan3x Chicken! *BOCK!* (Sacred Phoenix)2x Chicken Fingers *Cluck! (Hand of Nephthys)2x Apprentice Magician 2x Foolish Burial3x Monster Gate2x Reasoning1x Premature Burial1x Brain Control1x Heavy Storm1x MST2x Shield Crush Thats 28 down, and about 12 to Go. I HAVE NEVER BEEN GOOD WITH TRAPS! ok its out there, that means alot of comments will fall on this spot, so what ever, lets go. The first form of yubel only goes off when yubel is destroyed, so I thing at least 2 Generation Shift are necessary for this deck. I also think this would be great for the chicken. Protects it from Raiza, and bottomless. It also adds to the hand for my next suggestion, 3 Wing Wind Blast. This protects you against Things like macros, and dimensional fissure for a turn, and it helps remove hazardous monsters like Jowlgen. Next is torrential, a keeper and lastly 2-3 Dark Bribes. This is for the ultimate in Spell / Trap Protection. And Call. So all in all We got, 3x Mystic Tomato2x Yubel2x Yubel-Terror Incarnate1x Sangan3x Chicken! *BOCK!* (Sacred Phoenix)2x Chicken Fingers *Cluck! (Hand of Nephthys)2x Apprentice Magician 2x Foolish Burial3x Monster Gate2x Reasoning1x Premature Burial1x Brain Control1x Heavy Storm1x MST2x Shield Crush 2x Generation Shift3x Wing Wind Blast1x Torrential Tribute2-3x Dark Bribe1x Call of the haunted. So far this is 37-38 Cards. Now for a Complete deck we need 40. Hmmm, what could help this deck. Mabey if we add 2 Doom Shaman and 1 Swing of memories. Doom shamen can special summon yubel from the hand or grave. Thats a plus. and when he is destroyed yubel is destroyed. Well thats it. Comment away, and Try and build a nice side deck for it. So far, you can see the potential of the deck. I know im not a great Deck Builder, but at least a vision can be seen from it. 3x Mystic Tomato2x Yubel2x Yubel-Terror Incarnate1x Sangan1x Treeborn Frog1x Sacrifice Lotus3x Chicken! *BOCK!* (Sacred Phoenix)2x Chicken Fingers *Cluck! Careless Whisper
you might want to add a mirror force or Sakuretsu armor to keep yourself off of the defensive. and also might I add, coffin seller, to bring your opponent's lp down alot quicker. and also, a really good magic card called "Double Summon" and soul exhange. That way, on your first turn, if you have the right hand. and if your first turn is the second in the game, and if your opponent has a monster on the field. You can play double summon, normal summon "Sacrifice Lotus" then use Soul exchange to tribute Sacrifice Lotus and your opponent's monster to Normal Summon Yubel or any other high level monster. Yubel on the field without sacrifices = bad idea. H doesn't get to... LVL UP in a sense if it dies by its own effect. Sheild Crush? Swing of Memories? Why? Yubel 2nd form only destroys cards durring your end phase, why wait to do damage? Most likely your opponent will set to shield themself. This is where you have an upperhand so your chicken can attack directly. Swing of memories is for doom shaman only. At the end of the turn, doom shaman would be destroyed by the effect of swing, that means after you double summon him, and use him to bring back yubel 1st form and u choose whic effects to resolv first, your basicaly destroying yubel to get off the second form. iAmNateXero
Okay, i think i may have built a side deck for it, its still in experimental phases. 3x Rug Burns (pulling the rug)3x Twister2x Calculator1x Card Trooper (finaly got one, and it REALLY speeds thedeck up.)1x Swing of memory1x Malicious edge (Reason for this is because i have had Yubel 2nd form out, and i just wanted a clean victory, but the strongest monster for doom shaman to grab after the attack sadly was Sangan. XP)2x The Calculator (Instant 6300 atk on the field after Yubel 2nd form and Chicken is face up. Nice finishing attack.)1x Snipe hunter2x Curse seal of the forbidden spell. again, ive used this side deck twice, i may just advance the deck though. Ill post that later, also i can upload a video soon, just gotta get the camera from friend. We also have some Sneak Peak footage, ill upload that too. sorry for making you guys wait. so far its won alot, only problem it came across so far was jowlgen, but you can easily just attack that. P.S. This deck hasn't been tested o a monarch deck yet,so after the set has bee released for YVD or GameKing, please pm me.
