"Time's up, Eggman!" he shouted. Who? Why Sonic the Hedgehog, of course! "Oh, is it really? I think not!" Dr. Eggman said, pulling a lever. "Whoa!" the hedgehog said, dodging a stone block falling from above. "Well, looks like you finally thought of something new, for a change!" "Be quiet, you insolent pest!" Eggman snapped back. "Besides, I always have something new up my sleeve!" he said. "Oh yeah, I guess I forgot about your several [i]thousand[/i] failures before!" Sonic said. "Enough! Let's see how well you fare against my Egg Hurricane!" the scientist said. He pressed a button, and out came an enormous machine, shaped like a giant eagle. "Whoa, that's the biggest robot he's built yet! Tails, can you help me defeat this thing?" he asked, turning to look at the fox behind him.

[color="#FF8C00"][b]Tails nodded in excitement, "Easy!" Tails then pressed a button on his remote and the X-Tornado landed next to him, Tails jumped in the pilot seat "Get on the wing Sonic, I'm gonna analyze this thing so we are gonna have to fly around it, I need you to block any projectiles that I miss while studying this new machine." He said starting up the X-Tornado, "Alright then let's go!" Tails launched off and began to circle the Egg Hurricane.[/b][/color]

A somewhat loud panting could be heard coming from the general direction of behind Sonic as a familiar form made her appearance. A pink anthropomorphic hedgehog wearing a like colored dress came running in with her familiar pink and yellow Piko-Piko Hammer in her right hand. It was obvious that she had run quite a good distance but, not being as fast as Sonic, had only just caught up. This was, of course, the familiar Amy Rose coming in as fast as she could, and before Sonic could even ask what she was doing there, she answered his question.

"I'm not going to just let you get hurt doing fighting something, Sonic, I came here to help!"

"Amy, I think you can help. Try to attack him when he's worn down," Sonic said. Then, he got on the wing right before they launched off. [i]Wonder how he had enough time and material to build this thing[/i], he thought. Soon, they started to circle the EH (Egg Hurricane). About a dozen robots came out of a compartment on the EH, but Sonic easily destroyed them all. "Is that all you got, Eggman?" Sonic asked tauntingly. "I was hoping for more of a challenge!" "This is just the beginning, rodent!" Eggman said from inside the machine. He kept launching more robots out, decreasing in number as they went around. Finally, by the 7th wave, there was only one. One problem, though. When Sonic went to destroy it, the robot had caught him, somehow. It started rushing towards the cockpit of the X-Tornado. "Tails, watch out!" Sonic yelled.

[b][color="#FF8C00"]Tails was watching the battle and trying to figure out the weak point of the Egg Hurricane. He didn't notice that Sonic was missing at first, "Okay Sonic It's..." Tails turned his head towards the wing to see no Sonic, "Sonic?" Suddenly he turned to see Sonic and a robot heading right for him, "AAAAAAHHH!" He yelled and launched a missile by accident, luckily it hit the robot and not Sonic. Tails caught Sonic on the wing of the x-Tornado, "You okay Sonic!?" Tails asked while flying behind the Egg hurricane, "The weak point is not the cockpit this time, it's an Exhaust pipe in the Egg Hurricane, I scanned the entire thing and I'm gonna drop you down it." Tails said confidently blowing up some robots with some more bullets from the X-Tornado. "Just Spin down there, mess it up a bit, get out and the whole thing will shut down for a period of time and Amy can finish! I'll protect the Exhaust pipe so you can get the job done okay!?" Tails asked, starting to get nervous.[/color][/b]

"Okay, Tails!" When the X-Tornado got close enough, Sonic jumped in the exhaust pipe. He tried to ignore the smell, but it was tough. He stopped when he got to a place not far from the entrance that had some wires on the wall. "I wonder if this would be a suitable place to mess things up a bit," Sonic said quietly. Meanwhile, Eggman had gone a little trigger-happy and started firing missiles to try and obliterate the X-Tornado. "Try and avoid this, fox!" he yelled. Back in the exhaust pipe, Sonic said into his communicator,"Hey Tails, I found a couple wires in here. I'm going to pull them out." Then, he took his hand and ripped the wires out of the wall. He ran toward the entrance. Holding the communicator up to his mouth, he said, "Be ready to catch me, Tails!"

Noticing Eggman trying to shoot down the X Tornado, Amy's first thought was concern for her friends' safety. She quite literally charged the fat bastard head on with her hammer held in one hand, looking very, VERY angry. The speed with which she moved might have been surprising, considering that she was generally considered slow, as she closed the distance between her and the good doctor within a few seconds (assuming he's on the ground here) and leaping into the air with her hammer held in two hands, ready to slam it down with much more than a little force right on the doctor's bald head as soon as she got in range. Hopefully that would either knock him unconscious or distract him long enough to keep him from firing any more missiles.

[b][color="#FF8C00"]Tails was barrel rolling, flipping, Dodge rolling, and doing all sorts of Aerial dynamics to avoid missiles but one did his one of his four wings, "I'm still going strong eggman!" Tails yelled, "Sonic, I'm outside the exhaust pipe! hop on!" The Egg Hurricane shut down and now it was time for Amy to do her thing, "Go on Amy!" he yelled as he flew off of the area of the Egg Hurricane with Sonic on his wing. "Good job Sonic! you brought it down!" he said still lying around the Egg Hurricane in case they needed to do more damage.[/color][/b]

Eggman was fipping every switch, pushing every button, but the EH wouldn't react. "No! How could my beautiful Egg Hurricane shut down?!" He looked up to see Amy holding that hammer of hers up above her head. "No! Don't!" And that was all he had time to say before he was knocked out cold. Meanwhile, with Sonic... "Thanks for being there for me, buddy! I don't know what I'd do without you," Sonic said. He smiled. "All we have to do now is watch Amy do her thing. That is, of course, if the EH doesn't come back online before she's done."

Still very much enraged, Amy saw as the Egg Hurricane came crashing to the ground temporarily disabled and decided to make her move. However, a new idea came to mind as she calmed down enough to think and she noticed the controls to the missiles on Eggman's console. She quickly dropped her hammer and went to work figuring out how to use the device, accidentally targeting the EH and firing several volleys of missiles without even knowing what she was doing. She looked up as she heard the missiles fly, worried that she might have fired them at the X Tornado, and breathed a sigh of relief as they flew straight and true towards the giant mechanical Eagle.

"Wow...that was lucky."

[color="#FF8C00"][b]Tails and sonic were almost hit by the flurry of random missiles, "WHAAA!" He yelled aloud trying to avoid the missiles without dropping Sonic, a missile flew right pass his head and he could feel it cut a bit of his fur off, but it was just the tip of one that was sticking up. They had a rough landing and Tails almost had a heart attack! He was hyperventilating and his eyes were wide open. Tails had a gripped onto the controls for deer life and would not let go even though they were safely on the ground.[/b][/color]

"Whoa!" Sonic said as the X-Tornado jerked around suddenly, avoiding the missiles that were heading toward him. He felt kind of dizzy after it was over, but not too bad. He walked over to the cockpit. "Are you okay, buddy?" he asked Tails. Just then, Eggman came flying out of the Egg Hurricane. [i]Moments earlier...[/i] "Where am I? Oh, that's right. That pink brat knocked me out in the middle of the shutdown," Eggman said. Noticing the missiles just in time, he quickly pressed the eject button, escaping right as the missiles hit. [i]Back with Sonic...[/i] "Okay then," Sonic said when Eggman landed. Turning his attention back to Tails, he said, "Anyway, back to my question. You okay?"

[b][color="#FF8C00"]Tails was shaking and his fur puffed up and out from fright, "I-I-I-I thought that I wa-wa-was going to d-d-d-die." Tails then just melted in his cockpit, he became very confused and uneasy. He slowly exited the cockpit a minute leter and looked at Amy, "Can you tell us when your about to do that next time Amy?" Tails eye was twitching as he said it nervously, still shaking and his fur still standing up right. "I mean, I thought I was going to explode!"[/color][/b]

Shadow sighed. He was jetting across the beach and didn't care at all what was going on with Amy, Tails, and Sonic. He stopped to watch the sunset and sighed yet again. "Oh Sonic, he's just going to come after you guys again...I could just Chaos control right over to Eggman's position, where i saw him land, and just take him out if i wanted. But you'd stop me wouldn't you. Let him live to try and dominate the world yet again." He sat down and placed his arms over his knees.

Lance jumped from the air and dove kick onto a huge machine. When his foot made contact, his jet boots lit up a full power. He then kicked off the machine and let it fall to the ground. "Hmph, you'll never beat me Dr. Caviar. As a matter of fact, you won't be doing this any time soon....Chaos....Flume!" Lance shot Chaos Energy into the ground that came up as a huge beam from out of the ground, utterly destroying the machine...and the man in it. "I've had it with him." He looked at his friends who were staring at him. "I'm sorry guys...i just couldn't stand him anymore...."

Amy smiled sweetly even as she closed her eyes and rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment at Tails' question. It just so happened that as she opened her eyes, she saw Eggman ejected and landing on the ground not particularly far from them. She quickly moved to grab the Piko-Piko hammer and charged after him yet again, still moving at a much greater speed than any sane person would have expected of her. This time, she was fully intent on doing more damage than just a brief state of unconsciousness as she held her hammer low and behind her, ready to bring it around in a hard upward arc at the doctor.

Meanwhile in another location...

It just so happened that, in a small village only perhaps forty to fifty miles from the current location of Doctor Eggman's base, a certain Black hedgehog, who some said looked a great deal like Sonic with the exception of wearing pants and a trench coat in addition to his red eyes, was in the process of teaching a few of the younger members of the village community how to defend themselves through the use of blades. He was correcting the form one of them was using, just as he felt a disturbance not unlike several he had felt previously, except much stronger than before. He quickly moved to make an announcement to the small class he was teaching, in a voice that some might find disturbingly hollow when compared to anyone else's.

"That's enough for today class, we will continue this lesson tomorrow."

The students calmly placed their training swords on the ground exactly where they had been standing and turned to face their teacher, bowing with their hands clasped in front of their chests.

"Yes, Master Horus."

As the students left the small room which was constructed in front of the living area of his home, Horus himself made his way back into the aforementioned living area with a concerned expression on his face. He wondered if anyone else had felt the chaotic disturbance, and moreover he wondered what it could mean. He promptly sat down on a chair, resting his head in his hands as he did so. Despite his young age, the responsibility he had taken up with teaching the young of his village to defend themselves felt exhausting and now with this odd disturbance on top of everything else he just needed a moment to collect his thoughts.

Eggman saw the hammer, and dodged. Unfortunately, right behind him was a machine containing the Chaos Emeralds, which was badly damaged when the hammer hit. "System Error. Override Commenced. Override Failure. Critical Damage Recieved. Rerouting Power... Power Reroute Failed. Critcal System Failure..." the machine said. A jolt of electicity was sent through the machine, and it shut down. Suddenly, the Chaos Emeralds turned midnight black, and burst through the machine. They flew up, spun around rapidly in a circle, and scattered in all different directions. "What just happened? Eggman!" Sonic said. "Don't look at me, Sonic. Even I didn't plan this," Eggman said. A few seconds after, a black wave passed above them. "What the..." Sonic said.


OOC: This is the time to say what the DM (Dark Mobian) characters were doing right before, the energy wave, the transformation, the resistance (if the characters resisted the energy), and what happened right after. If you're wondering, the only reason why the heroes and Eggman didn't transform is because the shield around Eggman's base made the wave lose a lot, but not all, of its energy. They'll find this out shortly. PS, the other heroes that others don't control yet are with our group, for safety reasons.

[color="#FF8C00"][b]Tails glared at the machine, "What the!? The chaos emeralds scattered!?" Tails then ducked as the black wave came out, not that it would've hurt him, he was just afraid is all. "Wha- what was that?"[/b][/color]

Leon slowly walked up the streets of the city and walked right passed a night club, [i]"How... did I get here? and why... I don't understand how I got from the Arctic to-" suddenly a black wave knocked him unconcius and he laid on the sidewalk, unable to move.

[Mr. Hyde]

Shadow raced towards Eggman's base. He chaos controlled pass the barrier and looked in suprise. "Eggman you fool! The chaos emeralds negative energy has been released again...but i don't feel Nazo's presence...I'm glad about that, but i fear something worse may be at hand." He shuttered at the very thought of Nazo reappearing.

Lance raced away from the scene where he had killed his former arch enemy. A couple of robots decided to chase after him. "Oh really now?!" he smirked. He jumped on one, kicked it into the ground and shot a chaos lance at it. There were just two left. He disappeared due to his speed, and when he reappeared another robot was down. As soon as he was about to destroy the third, a black wave hit him and he collapsed to the ground. A dark aura eminated from his body and he laughed maniacally.

[color="#FF8C00"][b]"Shadow!?" Tails yelled, as he didin't see him coming at all, "one of these days you people are going to give me a heart attack!" Tails yelled. "But wait, no Nazo? But a dark wave was still projected, what could that mean?"[/b][/color]

Leon slowly got up and awoke from the streets, he felt an urge to yell, "YAHOOOOOOO!!!!" he yelled aloud, "Damn! I need to go somewhere fun NOW!" Leon yelled clenching his hands into fists, he ran towards the club he had just passed and ran inside, when he got in he ran in front of a mirror, noticing that his fur had changed from white and gray to red and black, "Cool!" he went to the back and began partying.

"Hmm... something strange is definitely going on," Eggman said. "It was your machine that did this!" Sonic said. "Ahh, but you're missing one key thing. I simply created the Chaos Container to hold the Chaos Emeralds, not to release their negative energy. Really, all I did was evade an attack. What is so wrong about that?" "Nothing, but you created the machine-" Sonic was cut off by Eggman. "-with the intention of containing the Chaos Emeralds." Sonic then decided that it was useless to keep arguing with him, so he changed the subject. "We need to find out what exactly that dark wave did," he said.

Amy was, well, to put it lightly shocked. All she had been trying to do was to stop Eggman from escaping and she ended up doing something that looked like it could have caused a great deal of harm. She fell to her knees and simply dropped her hammer down in front of her, lowering her head and looking to the ground. Suddenly, a thought occurred to her and she looked up at the group around them, a certain black hedgehog having come to mind.

"We should go and see Horus. If there's anyone who will know what this could have done...it's him."

[i]Meanwhile with Horus...[/i]

The black hedgehog suddenly widened his eyes in shock as he felt the immense burst of chaos energies unleashed all at once. The village didn't have much time. He rushed out from his house into the street, calling everyone to gather in the town center as quickly as possible. It only took a few moments for every single Mobian to make their way there. They were all wondering the same thing, why on earth he had called all of them there. They were answered shortly as he stretched out his hands and began to conjure all the dormant chaos within himself.

"My friends, the village and all those within it are in great danger. I do not know what form the danger takes, only that all of you are at risk. I am sending you as far from here as I possibly can, out of range of the coming darkness. Do not fear for me when you arrive at your destination, for I stay to face the darkness myself. Now...goodbye."

By this time, the black glow of the chaos wave could be seen far in the distance and the villagers were terrified. Horus had built up so much chaos in his hands that he was literally shaking from the exertion, and he took that time to give one final service to the group of Mobians who he had known for so long.

"CHAOS....CONTROL!"

The villagers were all simultaneously consumed in a bright red glow which soon dissipated, leaving nothing behind in it's wake. He fell to his knees, completely exhausted, but at the same time he was relieved that they were safe, and soon the wave of chaos washed over him like a flood. He felt as the chaos tried to steal away his will and mind, resisting with all the strength that he had left. He fought to hold onto the memories of those he loved but soon they were buried deep within his mind beneath layers and layers of chaos. He fell face-first to the ground, unconscious from the strain that the wave had put on his body. A few things had changed about him, one being that his black trench coat was now blood red but the most shocking being that his pitch black fur appeared to have been bleached pure white and now shone slightly in the sunlight.

[i]Meanwhile, in the city.[/i]

Not particularly far from where Leon had been, there was a certain anthropomorphic female bat that had been wandering the streets for reasons that don't matter now. She had been holding her head down and looking at the ground, upset about something that also does not matter now. Who she was doesn't even matter because everything changed as she was washed over by a wave of black energy. She had nothing she wanted to hold on to, and so she was completely consumed by the chaos. Her personality washed away without a trace left and her skin turned purple. She did not fall unconscious to the ground, but rather remained standing and as soon as the chaos had washed over her she felt more alive than ever before. Never mind that she had completely lost herself, so she picked her head up and put a wicked smile on her face, closing her eyes just enough to look interested in whatever she looked at. Slightly before Leon had woken up, she quietly slipped into the same club, ready to test out whatever the chaos had given her.

At the suggestion Amy had made, a thought popped into Sonic's head. "Wait," he said. "What if the Chaos Energy is still out there? Sure, the wave has already passed, but there might be something left behind." "He could be right," Eggman said. "Chaos Energy is unpredictable if unleashed uncontrolled." "I can see that you're a big fan of the prefix 'un-'," Sonic joked. Ignoring his comment, Eggman said, "Computer! Run an analysis of the area surrounding Area 1 (the shield)." "Running Analysis... this may take a few minutes," the computer reported. After about 30 seconds, the computer said, "Analysis Complete. Results show a high amount of Negative Chaos Energy. Leaving the area unprotected is not advised." Sonic thought about this. Finally, he said, "Hey, Tails. I know it would be impossible to completely block it, but can you possibly make some suits that are resistant to it?" Suddenly, a large group of Mobians appeared next to him (considering this is now the only "safe" place on Mobius). "Aaahh!" Sonic started, jumping back and placing his hand over his heart.

Amy looked from Sonic to Eggman and back as the talked, seeming confused as to what this all could mean. And then, on top of everything, a group of other mobians suddenly teleported inside the base. She recognized a lot of them from the village that Horus lived and taught in, which she had been through a few times chasing after sonic or another of her friends. She quickly stood up and ran over to them, looking them all over in bewilderment.

"How...how did you all even get here?"

One of the younger ones, an echidna she recognized as one of Horus' students, nervously opened his mouth to speak, obviously shaken up by the events that had just taken place.

"M-Master Horus sent us here using Chaos Control to keep us out of this huge black wave. He...He said we'd be safe."

Amy spun around to look back at Sonic, Tails, Eggman, and Shadow. She didn't know the black hedgehog very well, but she knew that he was kind and if any doubt had existed in her mind about that the words of the young echidna wiped them clean out of her mind. She was more certain than ever that they had to go and find Horus, if only to see if he was alright.

"I stand by what I said earlier, we should go and find Horus."

"Amy, it's too dangerous," Sonic said. Knowing that this would delay them from doing something, Eggman headed out of the room. In a couple minutes, he came out carrrying dozens of Negative Chaos Energy-Resistant suits, one for everyone. "Put these on," he said, putting them on the floor. "What are these, and why are you helping us?" Sonic said. "One, they are suits that are very resistant to the Negative Chaos Energy. Two, I have nothing better to do," Eggman replied as he headed toward the bathroom to put on his suit. "Well, thanks," Sonic said. He put on his suit. "Amy, where is your friend's village located?" He asked as Eggman came out with his suit on.

Amy blushed slightly as she realized she was going to have to take her dress off to put the suit on. She calmly picked the suit up and quickly ran around behind the wreck of the Egg Hurricane to do so. After a few moments, she came back out from behind it, wearing the suit and much calmer than she had been as she walked back over to Sonic and the others, thinking for a moment as she tried to remember where Horus' village was.

"If I'm remembering right, the village isn't too far from here, maybe forty or fifty miles, and it's to the west in the middle of the forest."

Amy seemed calm on the surface, but she was worried about Horus, just because that's the kind of person she is. She worries about all of her friends when they aren't around her.
