Mr. Hyde
Lance took his patrol around the area he was asigned to protect for the day. It was on the border of the Demon Lord Territory, and The Royal Knight Territory. Basically it was a hell zone. He heard a hopping sound and started shooting his gun into the woods. The hopping got closer. "Stay back!" he shouted. "I don't want to have to hurt a fellow digimon!" "Well, that sucks now doesn't it." the voice replied. It was familiar to Lance. A Gizamon hopped out towards him, pinned him to the ground, and hopped on a rock. Lance growled. "Blaine!" "Hello Lance" he said with a smirk. Mr. Hyde
Lance reached for his rifle. He was looking around for it. Then he realized that it had been knocked out of his hands thanks to Blaine catching him off guard. "Damn...Beam Claw!" Lance shouted holding his arm and pointing his finger at Blaine. Blaine easily avoided the laser. He jumped to another rock. "Water game!" Blaine said as he shot a jet of water at Lance. "Haha, you're going to have to do better than tha..." *Beep....Beep....Beep...Boop*! Blaine's eyes widened as he realized Lance had thrown a grenade to the rock. "I knew you'd jump to another rock!" The Warden
Locust and Brittle were soaring across the sky, they were bound at the waist, with Locust leading the way whilst brittle propelled them across the sky. Her keen eyes were searching for possible targets to analyze, seeing through the foliage of the trees until she found some worthwhile targets. 'Targets spotted for information extraction' she reported to Brittle. They dipped down and his in the trees to watch. She raised a wing up to some open foliage, revealing the spy eye on her wing. It was staring through a hole in the leaves at the small figting group. //Zeromaru//
Beyal was sat on what could only equate to a throne in the Demon Lords base. His armoured claws tapped impatiently on the skull shaped arm rest as a number of Goblimon walked in through a large set of double doors. A small grin appeared on his face as he noticed the large platters of fruits, meats and other assorted foods that the Rookie digimon carried above their heads. They placed the food down on the tables that lined the room before bowing out of the doors they came in from. When the last of the Goblimon had left, Beyal stood and strode over to the closest platter. His footfalls echoed loudly as his heavy boots came down on the stone floor and the holsters that held the Berenjena shotguns on his thighs rattled with a metallic clink. As he reached the first plate of food Beyal stopped and grabbed a large slab of meat. He inhaled its scent before feasting on the room full of food. An Impmon awoke in the same room as the one it had been dreaming about. He was sat in the same position in the same throne-like seat. But his feet didn't reach the ground, they didn't even reach the end of the chair. And his body was too short for his arms to reach the arm rests. As he realised that it had all been a dream the Impmon balled his fist and slammed it down next him, sending up a small jet of flames. "DAMN IT!" He screamed at the top of his lungs as a small Goblimon appeared next to him. "Are you felling ok Master Beyal?" It asked timidly. Beyal turned his head slightly as he heard the voice. "Would you be okay if you'd been reduced to a lesser form, after being a Demon Lord? One of the most powerful Digimon in existance?" Beyal asked as he jumped off the seat. "I understand your anger Master Beyal, but it was for the greater good." "THE GREATER GOOD?" Shouted the Impmon as he turned around and shot a number of Bada Boom fireballs. A couple of the fireballs hit the Goblimon and it exploded into a shower of data. "My apologies..." Whispered Beyal in a sincere tone. He turned back to the door he had been heading for and left the Demon Lord's base for the wider world.
Blackstone Dresden
((Meanwhile, in what once was the Royal Knights' castle...)) "Get back here you bastard!" A seven foot tall humanoid blue dragon with metal wings shouted as he blasted an armored humanoid insect through the wall with an oddly named attack coming from his chest. "I'm not done with you yet!!" The dragon continued as soon as he finished firing his laser. The dragon kicked off the ground and followed the humanoid insect through the hole he created, "Where the Hell are you you son of a b*tch?!" The blue Dragon was kicked into another wall and felt the warmth of a familiar energy spike against his neck, "Right here." Stingmon said with a smirk, giving the Royal Knight a shove and retracting his spike, reverting back to Wormmon as soon as he did, "You're getting sloppy." He told his old friend, "You've completely missed the point of this training match. You're supposed to be focusing on limiting the amount of energy you use, not blasting me through the Yggdrasil damn wall." The small green worm noticed that his lifelong friend was breathing heavily, "You see? Your V Laser's taking up too much of your energy. You need to hold back or else you'll revert down to Veemon in the middle of a battle. We don't need that." "Yeah... well..." He panted, shrinking down to his Rookie form, "It's not that easy. I've never had to focus on weakening my attacks in the middle of a battle." "This isn't like before, Veemon." Wormmon reminded his friend, "Before, there were thirteen of you. Now, you're down to just you and Omnimon. Before, we were more than capable of holding our Mega forms indefinitely. Before, your very data wasn't threatening to rip you apart from the inside." ((And, while some exposition was being exposed...)) Cutemon was waiting at the finish line of a massive race between a Garurumon, Gururumon, Raidramon, Kyubimon, Dorugamon, Gaogamon, Fangmon, and Dorurumon. The entire race had only come about after Cutemon spent just over two weeks with one wolf pack, consisting of the various forms of Gabumon and Psychemon, Garurumon the Alpha Male, his mate Gururumon, and Raidramon and Fangmon, mates who pretty much sat around all day until asses needed kicking, that she had befriended after interrupting their feud with a smaller pack, consisting of the forms of Gaomon, Renamon, and Dorumon, and led by Dorugamon and his mate Kyubimon and Gaogamon, who served much the same purpose as Raidramon and Fangmon. Dorurumon, unlike the other wolves, did not belong to a pack, per se. He was instead the representative sent by a mining coalition/family composed of the forms of Tsukaimon and Armadillomon and led by Digmon and his business partner Drimogemon. Dorurumon was a recent hire to the coalition, and was only picked for the race because he was the only quadruped that they had that could actually run. It turns out, the three opposing parties explained to Cutemon, that the Garurumon's pack and Dorugamon's pack had claimed the same territory at the same time, while the mining group were simply contracted to join a nearby lake with another aquifer underground to make up for the sudden influx of Digimon in need of drinking water, but were unable to because the two packs' territory dispute happened to be just above where their tunnel would be, and they couldn't safely drill with all the fighting shaking the surface for fear of a tunnel collapse. Cutemon, acting as an impartial mediator, decided that the three parties should hold a footrace, with each party getting a number of entrants equal to their approximate stake in the land. Garurumon's pack, due to its numbers, got four entrants, while Dorugamon's pack, being half the size of Garurumon's pack, got two entrants plus one extra because most of their members were still In-Training Level. Dorurumon, who's company only wanted the land for a relatively non-time dependent mining job and were motivated by economics rather than survival, would get one entrant. This idea, predictably, did not fly, and Cutemon met with the mining coalition to work out an alternative, wherein they tricked Garurumon and Dorugamon into a cave, stocked with food and water to last them both a week, that Drimogemon promptly collapsed and told them that they had a week to settle their differences, during which time Kyubimon and Gururumon, who had really never disagreed on anything more significant than whether or not wings on a wolf were attractive, would take over their respective packs while Drimogemon's mining group could finish their project and get paid. Six days passed and, with the job done, Digmon cleared the rubble over the cave's entrance and Garurumon and Dorugamon jumped out, having not yet learned to live alongside each other like their mates and packs did. Eventually, the two alpha females simply stomped up to their mate, clawed him in the face a couple times, told them where they can shove their egos, and that, whether they liked it or not, neither pack was going anywhere. The two alpha males sighed and apologized to each other, while Cutemon left the next day, promising to keep in touch as she hitched a ride on Dorurumon to their next job site, acting as their official mediator. However, since both packs had grown fond of Cutemon, as a send off, and just to blow off some steam after a long week's work, the eight Digimon decided to have a race anyway, which Dorugamon easily took first since he started flying as soon as he fell behind. ((If the above is too long, basically all it does is establish Cutemon's naivety and has her join up with a group of mining Digimon that the RK's could conceivably hire to fix up their castle a little bit.)) Hydra of Ages
Incubimon strolled into his own territory, pealing apart the bonds of illusion and mist that he had erected to protect his land. Frost formed on the tips of his angelic black wings and he shook it off briefly, the massive comb of mountains that was hist territory coming into view. Dead trees dotted the landscape, as did ditches and large rocks. Looming above them was the teeth of a mountain range, vicious and sharp-edged as if it were trying to eat the very sky itself. The moon loomed above, massive and magnificent, the only source of light in the entire area, bathing it in a pale luminescent glow. The entire land was dead; there was no life for miles, possibly on the entire continent. Incubimon pealed away that illusion like the waxy skin of an orange, fitting himself into the true reality. The land still loomed above him, threatening and dark, but it had changed. The lifeless, unblemished mountain ranged had converted to a series of steps leading up to a massive Gothic castle, its high-vaulted ceilings scratching the top of the red moon in the distance. Life, though meager life was all around him; tribes of Gotsumon milled around the base of the mountain, changing, rearranging, making the bases perfect so that the castle might stand for all eternity. Deviramon milled about the steeples of the castle and the towers, looping in and around the various aeries, bearing messages towards the thousands of residents, DemiDevimon following in their footsteps in similar capacity. All within eyeshot bowed deeply as he approached, no matter what they were doing. He allowed a thinlipped smile to grace his pale face as he gave them the favor of a small wave. He walked up to the opening to the castle; a gargantuon metal structure, hundreds of times his own height, made from Digizoid stronger than alloys of the late Royal Knight's own armors and inlaid with spells and codes to allow them to resist Armageddon itself. They opened before him with nary a creak. He didn't break stride and entered the exalted building. The size of an entire mountain range, saying it was a city barely did it justice. It was a small country, an entire civilization, though most stayed out of his way as he walked the Royal Passages. Blues and purples draped and decorated the walls with the insignia of Pride, the noble wings of a Seraph of the Celestial Realms and the dark sigil of a Demon Lord. All titles, crowns, playthings he wore, at different times, at the same times, who cared? They were all just a facet of himself. He entered the throne room, a massive reception room filled with more riches than the dens of thousands of dragons. Opulent, covered in silver and gold, breathtaking works of art covered the massive ceiling and walls. It was the greatest chamber in the entire city-castle, a nexus of power and value; if you couldn't find something you wanted here, it probably didn't exist. It all pinnacled at the throne, which was a surprisingly subdued affair compared to the rest of the room. A large chair made from a blackened wood, the symbol of pride engraved at the head; it looked simple, but it looked ancient and threatening. Leto sighed as he settled into the familiar seat, his muscles filling into the familiar contours. It had been a long day, and while sitting in the stiff chair wasn't relaxing, it reminded him of how important and awesome he was, and that was another form of relaxation all itself. He tapped his fingers a little a few times, smiling to himself as residents passed, high-ranking servants and slaves taken to perpetually keep the splendor splendorous, all avoid his eyes and tried to avoid being seen in return. Like they were doing something naughty, something sacrilegious, just by being in his presence. All with some exception. There was a tinkling sound as a small creature made her way through all the finery and objects, until she sat, a small ferret with a long tail grasping some gold-leafed document, on the armrest of his throne. His eye twitched a little in annoyance, but he didn't tell her it annoyed him she even touched his throne. After all, if he did, she'd probably just do it more. "Hello Aussa. Fine day." he said casually. Aussa frowned, her mousy features drawing shut. "Where have you been? It's a Yggdrasil-blessed thing we didn't fall into anarchy and chaos without you gone. They just won't listen to me like they will when you're around, you know. The Gotsumon are three weeks behind schedule, and last weak they collapsed the wrong tunnel and buried half of the Seventh Galley bazaar, and barely any of them have been punished. And the slaves! We got a new shipment in just last month, and they STILL haven't been properly trained, can you believe that?! Oh and-" she stopped as Leto put a finger on her lips and glanced up at him quizzically. He shook his head a little. "Look Aussa, I'm sure this is all very important and necessary, but I'm dead tired and I'd like to have a break. So kindly shut up." The Kudamon shook her head a little. "No. Nuh-uhn. You want relaxation, take a bath; you're on the throne, meaning you're the ruler, meaning this kind of crap is your responsibility too. And you're going to listen though it, bullet by bullet, and help me sort it out." "What?! I'm a freaking Demon Lord, and your god! I could smite you where you stood If I wanted!" he said severely, glaring down at the small creature. Aussa had no reaction, except maybe a slight grin. "Which is exactly why I'm bugging you like this. Now, as I was saying..." - Iona grunted as she was buffered by yet another blast of air, knocking her offwards and sending her spiralling towards the hard ground below her. She managed to right herself after a few seconds, and after a few hasty changes, managed to get herself basically back on course, though shivering and twitching a little from the cold. The black clouds above her taunted her, blasting her with air at random intervals and soaking her to the bone. She tried to fly above them when possible, but with the incredible windspeed, beyond even what she was used to, it was often impossible. Ice started to form on her wings, which she was even more scared of. "Wings, don't fail me now..." she mumbled, searching the ground for a sign of civilization, any civilization, where she could take momentary refuge.

Beyal focused his vision and saw the shape of a Gizamon. It wasn't one he recognised, so it was basically free data, but it always paid to know who new people were and what they wanted. After carefully jmping down from his bases wall, the Impmon made his way quietly towards the newcomer. She could try an emergency landing, but oddly enough, in a place where she was fairly sure nothing lived, she didn't like the chances of her surviving this storm there. Her intuition told her there was a place to stop, to rest, just under the horizon, and she just had to fly a few more miles... the miles bled on and on, though, and the rumbling clouds around her didn't dissipate. Her scales were vibrating with static electricity, and she felt her wings hardening to an icy form. Terrified, she tried flapping them and found she couldn't; even if they weren't frozen solid yet, they had been knocked out of joint by at least one blast of air she hadn't taken well, the pain numbed by the constant cold of the rain falling all around her. She was at the mercy of the storm, a sitting duck for any horrible twist of chance and even worse, she saw black dots at the edges of her vision. She was blacking out, and fast, whether from head trauma or simple exhaustion. If she didn't do something soon, she'd fall right out of the sky. Her tail still worked, and she whipped it back and forth as a rudder, doing double-time for the locked wings. She saw a strangely shaped mountain in the desolateness, and was drawn towards it because the top looked flatter than the usual jagged peaks. She fell more than she glided, at a steep angle downwards, the wind whistling in her ears at an almost unbearable volume. She closed her eyes and tried to fend off the impending unconsciousness, tried to guide her arms, legs and wings to work perfectly, to fuction for the moment that it would take to land... It warmed considerably as she approached the handing, and she opened her eyes briefly to note exactly how odd the mountain she was approaching really was. It was rectangular with straight sides, and nice even growths in the forms of towers and pillars, almost artistic. Se she got closer, she could see even more details- a courtyard, a variety of windows, more battlements... it was very military. 'This is no mountain... it's a castle...' she realized quickly, snapping into position. Her wings shattered, painfully and got into an awkward stance somewhat similar to what she needed to land. She positioned her arms and legs clumsily and flared herself out like a parachute, still falling far too quickly. Her tail twitched, trying to get her into a proper position, before it promptly gave up and let her freefall the remaining feet. She landed on top of a wide wall, a defensive structure from which archers and the like could stand at; her shoulder grazed part of the castle on the way out, hitting with a loud crack and crushing part of the stone as well as part of her arm. She yelped loudly in pain as she tumbled downward the rest of way and landed on her back, cracking her head against the flagstones. The last thing she managed to see before her vision swam was a shield marker above one of the doors; A symbol of twelve swords and the silhouette of one surrounding a great tree encircling a blue globe, stylizied and hung above the door. A last thought ran through her head before she finally succumbed to the darkness; 'The Royal Knights... I'm in the castle of... Royal Kni-' - "You can't leave that quickly! Not after you just got back!" Aussa demanded. Leto gave her a smirk and a wave as he walked backwards through the gargantuan double doors. "Sorry Aussa. Demon Lord and all that. Very busy. Can't be tied down. See ya later." he said, giving her a wave after she cried back at him about all the paperwork he needed to fill. Incubimon sighed in relief as the door closed behind him. Well, that was the whole fill of home he needed for the moment, he thought as he fixed his purple cloak. "Where to now, I wonder?" he thought to himself as he strolled out to the exit of his illusion-guarded society. He paused as a Gotsumon walked by and struck out a finger at it; the creature stepped back and cowered before it recalled itself and pulled itself into the deepest possible knee. "M-my liege, what c-could I possibly do to h-help you?" Leto sneered a little at his grovelling, but couldn't help feeling gleeful. Pride and all. "Mhm. I was looking for a bit of fun and was wondering if there is anything the Gotsumon required. I would like my castle to be finished in the quickest time possible, after all." The gotsumon blinked and tried to bow even lower. He failed. "M-my liege... we are working at peak efficiency I assure you, Sir! All the stops have been pulled to complete the building project at time, Sir!" "But..." Leto added for him, to tease him on. "But..." he paused. "A professional excavation team would greatly increase the speed of the construction, Sir! Our demolitions crew is the greatest in the entire Digital World, Sir, however, their expertise in explosions does not adequately replace a properly specialized extraction crew, Sir! Our specialty is in building, not removal! Sir!" "Hm. Indeed. In simpler terms, then?" "Sir! We need professionals at removing rock before we can start building anything substancial! Sir!" "Excellent." he said with a grin. "Tell your superiors to consider it done." he added, turning and flicking his wrist, disappearing in a small shower of feathers. The Gotsumon stood at attention, saluting the air for a full five minutes before his knees finally trembled and he fell to the ground.
