Dad
Well, while broad topics may encourage clutter posting, it livens the organization.
DL
Well, you don't need the threads themselves to merge. If you want, you can just move to another, new thread, and let the old ones die/keep them alive for the specific-ish discussion.
Flame Dragon
No, it causes less clutter if you merge three Nintendo-based-franchise-clubs into one big Nintendo club, especially if they have relatively the same member base. Unless you want to make it the decision of the club leaders. Meaning, if the club leaders of the Mario and Zelda and Kirby club want to merge, they can send an appeal to a super moderator to do that. @ PikaPerson: It's a shitton easier to have an open conversation and debate about a topic here in an organized thread where mods post instead of making a thread where people say "count me in" and "support++". :/
And it causes more clutter in the threads since several ideas are going on at once. Clutter isn't that big a problem for me I never liked merging threads. It often doesn't work out well.
Well, while broad topics may encourage clutter posting, it livens the organization.
How does it liven the club? I just don't see it.
Dad
It gives off an expansion of the topic. It doesn't keep it to single point, and opens the topic for many different views. If I said religion, which is broad, you could go from Judhaism, to Buddhism, to Christianity, etc.

Fusion X. Denver
Nah, I like reps. I don't get WHY YCMaker took Reputation away from that last server issue >__> It makes me mad, cuz what if you get negged and you can't find where it happened? What if you actually did something deserving of one and you want to learn a lesson? Well, I know that's BS, but still, we also like knowing when someone positive reps us so we know what we did. Sploda
I keep Reps to remember funny or awesome moments. I say keep them.
Fusion X. Denver
^That too. And I just realized. I've repped other people's posts to remember them for later, and now I won't be able to find them again. Damn it.
Flame Dragon
Rep system as a whole serves little point. Repping now is just stupid imo. You have no idea why your getting the -1 and you can't leave witty comments wen you give +1. Also mods can't remove reps (at least I don't think) so if some one wanted to go around -1ing some one the mods can't undo it. It's only made worse by the removal of the rep tracking. Fusion X. Denver
I wouldn't mind if they brought the old rep system back, which I do agree was better. But Idk if IPB Forums could support that, which is annoying >__> And mods can't do that? Man, that's stupid. Reputation is the one area where the new YCM dun goofed. For normal members anyway. Dark
I agree to agree whilst disagreeing. I agree that reps are useless and the board would probably function better without them, since reputation is not only completely subjective, but also can be abused quite easily. And hell, even points could be worth more than reps if YCMaker institutes an Arcade function or something to that effect in YCM. However, if reps stays, I'd prefer the MyBB style of reps. Not only is it easier to see who gave you a rep, but it can be a broad rep as opposed to a rep for one post. And even if you want to make a rep simply for one post, you can take the url of that post and make it as the description of your rep. If you want to rep someone for, let's say, being a witty poster all-around, but cannot find any of their witty posts, you should be able to rep them directly on their profile. :/
Smesh
And we're back. I bumped this with permission from FD. There have been some problems going on YCM lately, and I thought bringing this club back would be helpful.

Smesh
Added. Well there are a lot of bugs on YCM atm. My Content, the reps page disappeared, some say the card maker isn't working... Anything I'm forgetting?
Ярополк Пономарёв
I don't think so, card maker makes no difference to me, my contest does a little and the last I don't give a damn.
Catman25
Despite all these problems, I do think people got to lighten up. You can go a few days without the content page (which I don't even use). Give YCMaker a break, he has a life, as impossible as that sounds. >.>
Smesh
I know, I don't even use the content page that much either. And it's nothing to really bug him over. Just something that should probably be brought up, which I'm sure it has.
