But yo, I wanted to discuss something. In the YModB match with Crab and Pizza, I noticed that there was apparently a mod strike because our admins didn't do anything, and that some existing problems aren't being addressed by them.
I want to know what these problems are and I want to see if we could maybe try and implement ideas. I realize admins can do things everyone else can't, but surely they're reasonable enough to know that the site should address what's wrong right? I think Crab also said that Pizza saw their reasoning and tried to side with them, but that YCMaker was too lazy in the end. According to Flame, he didn't even fix the PM glitch until he was involved in one, and the mods had made a thread about that two months prior.

Maybe YCMaker and Pizza wouldn't mind adding another admin on? One that would be active like most of us and actually listen to what we have to say?

YModB isn't really a big matter. In fact, it's supposed to be just fun and games. It shouldn't be taken seriously.

If YCMaker is really lazy as we're being told, we might need a new admin.

It was a legitimate discussion that just happened to take place in a YModB match, it is only supposed to be fun and games.
But a new admin might benefit the site and the YCM bros overall. That way they won't have to deal with our complaints when they're busy and our problems can be addressed.

What, we're back on topic? It took long enough. As Dark as shown this is my very problem with C&O. Things can go from having a topic to just being pointless talking. Really in any other place on the forum you wouldn't be able to just start talking about unicorns so why do people think you can here?

Yea. But as Crab said we really aren't following it.

A lot of the problems have to do with stuff you can't changes. As I've said many times one of the biggest is the mod tools and that comes right from IP.Board.

YCMaker doesn't do anything. I think we were trying to make him a second admin but it just hasn't happened because, from what I can tell, only YCMaker can do it. And yea, the pm glitch is a great example since it really did take him close to 2 months to fix.

@Flame - Because people think since it's a clubs section, they can talk about whatever. But really, if they want to talk about something, or see themselves frequently talking about a certain topic off-topic, they should make a separate club that focuses on that topic, it's what I did :/

Alright that's just sad...I used the "adding a new admin" as an example, just as an example, of what we could talk about here to someone who joined and I got chastised...but now it is a topic we are discussing? That's almost infuriating.

Anyway, I would really doubt that YCMaker would go for it. That's almost the same as walking up to him and saying "You don't do the job correctly, so we want someone else to do it for you."

We aren't saying that he doesn't do his job correctly. We are saying that he doesn't do his job at all anymore unless it's something that he has been involved in. Him not fixing the erasure problems with the pm system is a good example of just that. To be quite honest, I think we do need to have an admin that is going to be active. This third admin can be anyone who does the job and does it right, but it has to be someone who is active. Then when they are no longer going to be active, they can post saying as such and request that their adminship be dropped and given to someone else who will do the job right and be active. At least, that's what I think. What do you guys think?

I know, and in fact I agree to an extent. I'm just stating this as how it is going to appear to him. How would you take it if you were the admin of a site and you were asked to make a new admin with power equal to yours because the reasoning is you aren't active enough? I know I wouldn't like it, even though it is probably true.

That's the way the members of YCM are. They'll insist on a topic, and when a fraction of it becomes irrelevant, the s*** jumps, and everything goes spammy.

All right, so some time after three YCM became completely inaccessible. Then I am finally able to get on it this morning, and find many things different. They are small, but they are there, and they are as follows.

The menus off to the left when going through your area is nonexistant, or rather it is there, but squished and with no words or links on them.

the quick reply box buttons on the bottom are squished and say nothing.

You no longer get a menu when you click on your name and it just takes you straight to your profile.

I have also noticed that most of what I had in my subscriptions is gone, and suspect the same is true for many others.

Now I have seen this, in all its unbridled flaws, and have but one question to ask.

Well I am none to happy with this. It needs to be fixed now, except that I don't know that the admins are on. Perhaps we should [s]spam their inboxes with requests to fix the problem[/s] send them both a message concerning the problem?

Also, using shift + tab to go back to the quick reply box to fix something makes the text disappear and has to be made to reappear using Ctrl + Z.

My guess is that, even if we do, this won't be fixed for a couple of days. Actually, YCMaker probably won't do anything today, because if I saw correctly today is his birthday. He probably won't waste too much time today fixing it.
