Thank you Creator, you said what I wanted to but couldn't at the time.

Dark, People CAN in most cases be trusted to moderate their own threads. It's only the few that don't care that allow their threads to become spamholes, so your arguments against that are nullified before the are even brought to bear. Also, we all tire of this constant bickering.

in short, Dark, Ammy...SHUT YOUR PIEHOLES!!!

@Dark
How about we don't and you stop trying to troll us?

In fact, I'd like to bring that up as our next topic: How to stop trolls when we find them without having to wait 2-5 days for a Mod to respond?

And when I say this I mean how do we reprimand them. Yes I know we could ignore them but every good Fourm takes steps to reduce the number of trolls, not ignore it.

To top it off I would also like to suggest that a new Mod position be opened, this position instead of being assigned to a certain section would patrol all the sections and work with the section mods to maintain order.

Can you guys please listen to me for once? I have since stopped arguing (and hopefully Ammy doesn't reply to my previous post, as that will simply begin it again), and using the power of free-flowing discussion, I would like to discuss unicorns. I apologize for my previous actions and words, but now I'm being super cereal.

I like the invisible pink unicorn. What species of unicorn do you guys like? :3

I don't remember Flame Dragon fully deciding that he's going do the club revamp. I do remember him saying that he can put a poll to see what the member's opinions are.

Dark and Ammy can shout as much as they want. They're on an open topic.

@ZERA: I don't trust club leaders to moderate their own threads because we wouldn't be in this situation if they actually do their job. And it's not bickering. They're debating.

I don't mind the shouting, but this has gone from debating to bickering, Twig. They were on the verge of attacking each other's morals and views which is going to far.

Besides, why get so worked up over a Children's card game fourm?

Not to sound like an ass here Twig but those two "debating" is like watching/listening to two little kids arguing over who gets to go down the slide first. Not a lot of real logic there and is more of an "I'm right and you're wrong" kinda thing. But hey . . . I might be wrong.

@Dark: Now you ARE just trolling imo <_<

Also I think the --- actually I ain't gonna get back on the subject like Creator suggested, instead I'll go with his. And Creator I Do like the idea of a Troll Mod, going about making sure no one begins getting into pointless arguements and/or banning those who continue

I think you misunderstood me. This Mod wouldn't just be hunting for Trolls, he would be a Mod that actively participates with several members and makes sure that everyone is following the established rules and watches for spammers and trolls as well. Basically if you compare your Section Mods to a City Police trooper then this guy would be the State trooper who can come into any area and work. His power would be limited though in that the Mod of the section he made a decision in would be able to overrule him.

...Nope.

@Jake: You're wrong. Prove to me that none of it is logical.

And to everyone saying Dark is trolling: He's mocking Ammy's idea of free-flowing discussion, and showing it as an example as to why it's bad. Still on topic.

I don't think you guys read their posts. >_>

Twig, some thread creators actually do moderate their own clubs. It's the fact that not enough of them do that like they are supposed to that is the problem.

And when they do SOMEONE has to have a whinegasm over it. >_:.::

The problem with a troll mod is that he or she would have to patrol the entire forum, which takes more effort than should be required. Since most of the trolling happens in General and its subsections, we should have this "troll mod" here only. But then that gives more logic to just having a second mod in General, something which MarbleZone particularly doesn't like. I'm not saying he will be a stubborn "no", but it was stated that he does not like the idea of a second mod, and that he can handle it himself.

In a compromise, we could possibly open a thread in General to state trolls (and by the way, if you thought I was trolling, you have yet to learn the definition of trolling), but that still means MarbleZone would have to be active enough to check that thread, inwhich case he could just check the damn report log. <___<

Now you ARE just trolling imo

Rather, I just proved a point. Someone explain why no one continued my topic of unicorns. I particularly love that topic. D:

I'm sorry but I'm trying to move to a new topic so if you could please stop bringing it up.

kthxbye

@Dark
Well I can see your point, but MarbleZone DOES need help since things are getting worse. I'm not saying that he has to quit or anything like that but a Mod who goes around enforcing the rules and ACTIVELY looking for Spam and trolls in threads would be nice.

Plus it would solve the C&O issue as well as FD would have help patrolling the Fourm.

As for the Unicorns, I didn't respond because I have no interest in Unicorns.

I must have skimmed over your post. I do deeply apologize, Nevert.

But yes, I haven't met a unicorn yet. Somewhere it said that unicorn blood was dangerous, or made you live forever. I don't know the exact details. But that leads me to another question: do unicorn-vampires exist? As in, vampires that hunt for unicorn blood? It's an interesting thought at best.

It's okay Dark.

That was Harry Potter I think.

Oh I had an idea of a fun game, this is the place to go to see if it would pass.

Trollfest.

It basically is a noman's thread where you have to have raving insults and contained flame wars for giggles.

It would be fun but the post count thing would ruin it. But still, I think it would have been fun.

Post it in the Games section. No more Post count issues.

lulz would ensure.

@Twig
bbbbbut

what about my topic?

Also:

a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. In addition to the offending poster, the noun troll can also refer to the provocative message itself, as in "that was an excellent troll you posted". While the term troll and its associated action trolling are primarily associated with Internet discourse, media attention in recent years has made such labels highly subjective, with trolling being used to describe intentionally provocative actions outside of an online context. For example, recent media accounts have used the term troll to describe "a person who defaces internet tribute sites with the aim of causing grief to families."

Trollfest? Ask MarbleZone and stick that in Games. I'd have such a joyous time in that thread.

Okay, so this actually doesn't turn into spam discussion, new topic.

Can someone give me a clear definition of trolling?
The problem is, it wasn't spam discussion. It was a free-flowing discussion. D:<

Don't listen to urbandictionary or anything. The definition of trolling is lying with the express intent of making someone believing you. Gender trolling involves lying about your sex to make someone believe you. Religious trolling involves lying about your religion (and to follow up, attacking their religion). Trolling does not NEED TO BE FLAMING, but 99% of the time it is a form of flaming.

One thing I like about Wikipedia's definition is that it explicitly states trolling is meant to evoke emotional responses, but again, this is only the case in 99% of all trolling. You can still troll without expecting a response from the other person, but that is no fun (and if you think trolling is fun, like I do, you'd know that (Omegle ftw)).

You asked for the definition of trolling, Twig, not what people MOST OFTEN do when they troll. Which is the only reason I was correct, because my definition is broad enough to include the 1% of trolling that doesn't want to evoke an emotional response. Trolling is, as its base level, lying.

Then trolling doesn't actually have to be bad.

So I can be a complete a****** to Z.E.R.A. and he can't call me a troll?

...

I like this definition.
